My doctor told me it can be caused by parasites.  I used something for a while but I discontinued it--it didn't make a difference.  By accident, I found something on Amazon that worked better than anything the doctor prescribed~

I would also like to know. Would you PM me, too, please?

Little Fern looks familiar, I just can't figure out if she resembles another Duggar grandchild, or someone in my real life.

My first thought was she looks a bit like Jordyn in the eyes.

I think Ivy looks a lot like Jinger.

I have thought this forever. Ivy looks more like Jinger than she looks like Jessa, and she looks more like Jinger than Felicity does.

So Jessa was shopping for kids clothes at that ReLanNWA (?) event and looks like she bought more than 10 things for Spurge……plus plenty of dresses for the girls. Seems like her minimalist theory on kid’s clothes is not 100% true since she also just got free clothes for the kids.

What? You mean Jessa lied? 😂

I truly hope she got some clothing that is large enough for Spurg.  Poor kid must be miserable having to wear clothes that are so tight.

It looked like she was trying with Ivy. The dress she had on looked a little loose in the torso. The sleeves were way too long, but that's the way Spurge, Henry and Ivy are built - thicker torsos than the average kids.

Typically kids around Spurge's age, hit a little growth spurt and start to become more evenly proportioned.

Jessa...I can't even guess. I think she'd be the most easily convinced by any evidence, since she's not the "blinded by love" type, but as for what she'd do? It's a toss-up. I can see her being heavily swayed by what JM and Michelle tell her and sticking to the "all porn is evil, we're going to work on fixing Ben's addiction" party line. I can also imagine something like this being the trigger that makes her go full scorched earth on her family and belief system. Or she might never live with Ben again but never divorce him either so as not to totally cross that heathen line. Or, if he were to get convicted and put in prison for long enough, I could see her intending to stick it out and then with the passage of time and being away from him, decide to end thing and move on.

Quoting @lascuba above from the Josh thread.

Jessa has a fire to her that I dont see from Josh's other victims. I noticed from the first scandal, even when Jessa was toeing the party line, she never internalized what Josh did to her. In her mind JOSH was the fucked up one and she was so sick of him and the trouble he caused. I think Jill trusted and looked up to Josh  as a big brother and felt very hurt and betrayed by what he did(and is a more sensitive person), Joy was so young I am not sure, and Jinger I am not sure about either.

Jessa may toe the party line to keep the money going, but I also see her as the type that would poison Ben's food or set him on fire while he was sleeping if he had any similarities to Josh.

For the record I am NOT insinuating Ben is anything like Josh. I think Jessa is so fed up with her brother she doesn't know what to do- now that the show is gone, I doubt she will have much reason to associate with him outside of the required interactions at the TTH so long as JB and Michelle want all their children at those.

I personally did not see this. She seemed to spout the party line that greatly minimized what he did as no big deal.

Yep, he was just “sly,” remember? Her response was disgusting.

I could be misremembering- I remember Jill crying and looking very distraught, and Jessa  being assertive (I have not watched the interview in a while).

The "sly" comment was horrendous in minimizing what Josh did, but with that comment I did not take it that Jessa blamed herself. I saw it as more in "Josh is so fucked up, let me say this because my parents asked me to." where as Jill felt violated and was holding onto a lot of hurt.

I am not telling either Jessa or Jill how to feel, and I could be 100% wrong, but I got the impression that Jessa wanted Josh to just go away so they could go back to the tv show and she could get her pregnancy special etc, where as Jill was hurt that it was all brought up again.

I trust you guys though regarding what happened, I would need to rewatch the interview.

It's been a while since I watched it too, but I didn't find her as assertive or empowered. The impression she gave me was that she was defending him and her family's handling of what happened, and the anger she had was directed at people who were criticizing them. Which is very Jessa-like, IMO. She does not handle constructive criticism well. I don't blame her for being angry about how that was outed in the media, but I saw no indication that she had any resentment toward her parents or Josh to go along with it. And again it's her prerogative, but I would never view her actions in that interview as indicative of her being mad at them. As Cinnabon said, she somehow even tried to spin Josh as a sly molester as a good thing. I really don't think she had the slightest clue why people were outraged. And of all the relatives who made statements this time around, she also still doesn't seem to get it, spinning it as just regular porn that is always Josh's downfall.

I am probably looking at it with my own biases, cause how could being a “sly molester” ever be a good thing!

Yep. And as gross as it was, it makes me feel sorry for her too. I think she's so cloistered off from what people outside the Gothard bubble think that she had no clue how that comes across. She does that a lot. (Like apparently thinking Diaper Mountain makes her relatable.) Just another sign of how dysfunctional they are and how they have no clue that's the case because it is their normal.

How much support was truly known and available to them from outside that bubble either?

IMO I always give a lot of grace and a lot of space to how victims of sexual assault react, something I think is even more appropriate when you have young victims abused in their own home and family and the family protects the offender.   This family adheres to some heinous beliefs that were presented to them from childhood as righteous and their existence is so shut off from other influences and their educational pipeline is the SOTDRT.   These girls didn't have a shot of a helpful and observant teacher intervening or unburdening themselves to a friend who in turn spilled the beans to their own parents who then went to the authorities.   They didn't even have access to something like an after school special to shed some light on how messed up their parents are.

Jill was crying yes, but it was for the same reason that Jessa looked pissed--In Touch put their business out there and ruined the public's perception of their family. Neither of them wanted to be there, and since Jessa is more naturally inclined to anger and Jill is a cryer, that's how those feelings were expressed. I know this is unpopular, and I don't intend it as a criticism of them, but I do think that in that interview, they're not angry or upset at Josh. I still believe them that at that moment, they--both Jessa AND JILL--felt that they had dealt with their abuse years before, that they'd long forgiven him, that it wasn't a big deal, anyway. Because if Jessa's "sly" comment was dismissive, Jill's  "this happens in 2 out of 3 families" was more so. I think the emotions Jill and Jessa were feeling in that moment were all about having been put in the position of having to talk about it and justify their feelings and their parents' handling of Josh.

I also think Jill's tears were about her distress at her family's fall from grace. She had always basked in her family's popularity and the fact that people see them as an example. That so many people were throwing hate there way must have been devastating for her. While for Jessa, the Duggar popularity was important for the income, but she never actually cared about it on a personal level. Public hatred upsets her because 1)loss in income and 2)she's right and those heathens are wrong. It doesn't actually hurt her feelings or affect her sense of self.

So apparently Jessa has been homeschooling all along. Today on YouTube I learned that Spurge is in first grade! We had more examples of Henry’s adding skills which seems more like a party trick than actual learning. No sign of Bin so I guess Jessa is the teacher. The whole thing was very disorganized, Ivy was all over Spurge while he was at his desk. Apparently they drag what looks like an old chair-desk combo into the living room and Spurge gets a workbook. So no SOTDRT for the Seewalds. Of course, Boob and company are on a road trip, so I guess Jessa couldn’t send the kids off to TTH.

And don't forget to mention that while Spurgion was doing school, Henry actually walked across the kitchen table.  Right in front of Jessa, who didn't say anything!

The Ace curriculum said to ask Jesus for help... naturally.  But the funny part was Spurgion read it as ask Jessa for help!

Those kids are feral.  Even Jessa noticed chocolate fingerprints on the furniture.  Gross.

Did you notice Spurgeon eating avocado?  What he had was mashed avocado that was sold already prepared in a plastic cup (like the kind that’s used for store-bought fruit or pudding cups).  I bring this up because I was literally SMDH that Jessa couldn’t even find the wherewithal to buy a whole avocado and prepare it (it takes less than 5 minutes) herself at home.

That house is a cluttered mess.  Even the walls are cluttered.

Fern really is a cute baby, but I don’t  think she looks anything like her brothers, her sister or her parents.

Jessa's videos are so depressing

First off, that kitchen table is absolutely disgusting. That looked like months worth of crumbs, grease and grime caked on, and Henry walking over it in bare feet certainly didn't help the germ count.

Spurgeon seems like a somewhat fussy and fastidious kid. His anxiety levels are going to be off the charts growing up in that mold pit. He was really sweet trying to teach Ivy math, but you could tell he was getting frustrated and wanted to go back to his work. I don't blame Henry or Ivy, because they're just small kids, I blame their idiot mother who needs to put him in public school. There's no way he's learning anything in all that chaos.

Fern is absolutely adorable and I agree she looks like no one. I don't see Jessa, Bin or any of the grandparents in her. Was Jessa getting busy with the Amazon delivery guy?

I also thought Jessa looked really tired and puffy. It feels like she doesn't get much help. I'm starting to think Bin hides in his church office all day.

Why would Jessa post that disaster of homeschooling video? Spurgeon is in first grade just like Israel? I don’t think so. That was painful to watch, Lord of the Flies at such a young age.

Yikes, I watched the school day video. Its so very sad.

Teacher Jessa didn't teach Spurge anything at all. Spurgie sat in the most traveled part of the house and did a worksheet, while Ivy practically sat on top of him. I get not wanting to put Spurgie in a room alone, where it may feel like a punishment while his siblings are playing in the next room, but couldn't Jessa at least have separate activities for Ivy to do?

Also, I've never in my life seen kids so preoccupied with food. I don't know if they're bored or if they never get a real meal, so they graze all day, but its just not the way I'm used to seeing things. Eating seems to be the little highlights of their day.

Interesting propaganda video from the Secretariat.  I guess Jessa decided to show us how well her kids eat; nothing but healthy snacks for them!  Carrots, oranges, avocado, pretzel sticks.  The chocolate fingerprints on the baby carrier give her away.  The messy eating throughout the day from one end of the house to the other is setting those kids up for issues with food as they grow up.

So, Henry has 'read' 3 books now?  Listening to him painfully sounding out each word, which is pretty good for a 4 year old, just reminded me of how very narrow the Duggar definition of 'learning' really is.  Did Jessa ask him questions about the book to see if he understood the story?  Oh, heck no, he just has to read each word individually; no need for comprehension.  It's just for show anyway.

Spurgeon cannot possibly be learning a thing with his siblings crawling all over him,  I also notice he is once again wearing a too tight pair of pants.  I wonder if Jessa gets slim boy's hand-me-downs from Jill and has Spurge squeeze into pants meant for a slender kid like Israel.

That kitchen table should be condemned by the health department, you could see how smudged and grubby it was.  Note to Jessa: do not buy a table with a grooved top if you don't plan to keep the grooves clear of crumbs and dirt.

Jessa must have seen comments about school and Spurge. I think most of her YouTube posts are reactive. Once again, no editing and she looked exhausted. It was like, see both my boys are in school and very advanced! See them eat healthy snacks! And the comments on the post all seem to be leghumpers praising her and her smart, beautiful family. So win-win in Jessa’s eyes.

I watched bits of that video, as much as I could tolerate. I scrolled through the comments. Yep, leghumpers to the max.

That "school" video is the saddest thing. Spurge can't be learning much with Ivy crawling all around his desk and Henry reading 2 ft away from him. It makes me sad that he isn't in a public school like Israel. It woudl be so nice if he could go to the same school as Israel and make friends. I feel so sorry for him and want to scoop him up. Spruge will never get out of that house until he is married.

The house is a pig sty and I can't imagine what it smells like. I always think that kids that "snack" all day long are just bored. There is nothing fun to do in that house and they are all on top of each other.

Looks like there's some kind of zip-tie looking thing on the fridge handles, Maybe they finally wised up that Ivy climbing into the fridge is a potential disaster...

Spurge would probably love an actual kindergarten or first grade class with an educated teacher, hands on activities, and classmates his own age. And he'd love coming home and telling his younger siblings all about it. Poor kid.

I think this was clearly a response to SM questions about Spurge and school. And that makes what we saw even worse. This is what Jessa has chosen to highlight as how the Seewalds do school. I feel bad for all the kids.
