This guy has been at the Masters University (don't know when or for what) and is now at Grace Church, maybe just a member of the congregation or maybe part of the music staff?  (the web shows him to have worked as a pastor or in some other ministerial position in the LA area at some point, but I can't track down a current job for him..."John Martin" is a really common name!)  He and his wife, Lisa, did an interview on their testimony with Jer's former best MacArthur church bud, the now mysteriously-outcast-from-MacArthur's-church Mr. Mahoney, this past summer....Viewable here and elsewhere online -- https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=300734987605156

Anyway, he has a two-year-old who was a micro preemie (born at 24 weeks), and who was previously heavily dependent on having oxygen available, looks like.

Hence, the oxygen shortage in southern California is a very scary fact to him. He recently posted about it, saying "Received the following from my son’s care center today. Grateful he is no longer dependent enough to be compromised by these secondary effects. Praying God’s mercy for those who are."

My guess is that the "Jesus is better" post is his way of saying that, no matter what else is going on, everyone's top concern must still be the strength of their faith in Jesus. There's nothing on his Twitter that shows the post as a response to anything in particular, such as Covid or the oxygen problems or anything another poster has said, though.

Could be Jer's response is a way of saying, "See, I DO care about people's health!" or the like. Showing his solidarity with someone's Covid-related fears maybe. Or maybe it's just a shoutout to somebody he knows from church.

Here's the notice Martin got from the care center. This situation must be terrifying to many ...

Unless John Martin's kid's name is Jesus and Jeremy is trying to reassure us that he is doing ok despite the oxygen shortage, this makes no dam* sense at all.  Or, maybe the guy at the oxygen supply business who provides this family with their medical oxygen is named Jesus and he is better at getting the product to his customers than other suppliers?

I give up.

Alas, I think he is saying that Jesus is better than oxygen tanks which is of course very easy to say if you're not the little kid who cannot breathe without it.  I guess John Martin's kid has found the right Jesus so it doesn't matter if he dies from lack of oxygen caused by the public's lack of compliance with even the simplest rules in a pandemic.

Poor Jing. She and her sisters had it worst than most. I have never been much of a trend follower but I still have a couple of awkward teenage pictures I cringe at. I do have some friends who 'rocked' the 80s hairstyles though. The poor Duggar girls certainly did go through an extended awkward time of mixing the 1800s with the 2000s.

I doubt that teenage studmuffin wannabe model and poser-in-training Jeremy wouldn't have given scruffy unpolished teenage Jinger a second glance back in the day.

Jeremy wouldn’t have wanted to date a girl who can’t even kiss until she is married back in high school. Actually if Jingle wasn’t a TV STAR he wouldn’t have married her anyway.

Well, that's marginally better than the horrifying red suit, Jer. But the jacket's still pretty gimmicky, seems to me. The kind of thing that goes outta style in....whoops! ....there it went.....

Oh, for pity’s sake.

Shut up, Jeremy. Shut all the way up, until you reach the top of shut up mountain, where there are no more shut ups to shut.*

*The original and far more colorful version of this is from “Grace and Frankie,” and if it weren’t for my clinging grimly to my New Years Resolution not to use the F word I would add a YouTube link and greatly enjoy doing so. Seriously...look it up. It’s a classic.

She has really changed her look since this:

What is going on with her front tooth in that pic?  Looks like it’s partially missing.

Still no baby photos?

Something’s up.

Definitely. It is so not like them to be missing any opportunity to make influencer bucks on anything they can. You’d think a new baby and opportunity to be an “encouragement” to moms would be a major shot for a money grab. What could be happening to prevent them from plastering this baby all over IG, People, etc?  I can’t imagine that it’s because they’ve developed some integrity.

He really has no idea what real life is like does he? Ah, no Jeremy, most people with a two year old and new baby at home don't have time to journal every day. They are are usually busy with that and a job.

That's Jinger's post. Although I understand the confusion; the pen would throw anyone off. 😁

As much as it deeply pains me to defend them, the lighting on that photo was horrible. Right over their heads, fluorescent...they must have been at some superspreader event somewhere.

We usually only see carefully staged, professionally lit, and personally curated shots of them. So the difference is jarring.

But again...where is the baby? This is getting weird.

At first, I thought they were keeping her under wraps while they waited for an offer from People or US Weekly, but the time for that has long since passed. And I really can't believe that they've suddenly developed a conscience about exploiting their children.
