No way Lindsay should have gone home over Laura's porno outfit. OMG.  And I'm sorry Candice's outfit was only "safe" for me.  Did you notice the guest (whose name I missed but she's a peer model of Heidi's) kept looking at the other judges like "what are you all smoking?" -- she absolutely could not see the love for Candice's outfit...

Oh and what was with the waste of time over Kelley's outfit?  She had Immunity!!!

I loved Swapnil's outfit this week and it deserved way more recognition.  And yes, editing monkeys aside, any suprise he's questioning 40%=top 3 vs 100%=safe????

I thought most of the designs tonight were a bust. Many of them were poorly sewn.

I liked Merline's dress and was surprised she was just safe.

Candice deserved the win, her dress had that fantasy theme to it.

Poor Laurie, I was rooting for my Chicago girl but that dress was horrendous. She was lucky she wasn't auf'ed. Lindsay had been on the bottom so I guess it was her time to go home.

I want to add that I like this group of designers this season. There's been no to very little fighting, nastiness or back stabbing.

That sucked.

It was great at the beginning to see everybody so happy, relaxed and able to enjoy a show.  Nice stress buster for them all.  Well done, Project Runway. And the $250 budget at Mood was very generous.  Another nice gesture, producers.

I'm a huge sucker for ombre, so Ashley's maroon chiffon was gorgeousto me.  Her dress was just horrible.  The judges were unbelievably kind to Ashley in the criticism, yet slam almost everybody else.  Why are they kissing her ass? Idiots.

Interesting getting the backstories & non show-related emotions from Candace and Lindsey after the musical.  Very human and poignant. A nice break from the manufactured drama. I still like both of them a lot.

I never noticed before that Swapnil has a tattoo on the right side of his neck.  I can't figure out what it is, as he wears a lot of high necks and it's hard to get a good look at it.

I disliked Laurie's and Ashley's outfits, and actually liked what everybody else made.  The fabric of Kelly's overdress did all the work, and the shape was as simple and basic as the sheath under it.  Nothing original, but it looked good.

I thought Candice deserved the win.

I don't think Laurie deserved to stay over Lindsey.

Oh Candice.  Do shut up.  Holy shit is she a tedious know it all.

I feel bad for Lindsey.  She was Nina's goat and she knew it.  It must have been difficult for her to stand there and listen to the tongue baths that some of the other designers inexplicably received (Blake, Candice/Ashley with their clown get up) while they told her she was boring and plain  If the judges had given her just a little bit of encouragement it could have given her the confidence boost she needed to do something more.  Instead she got more and more lost, knowing they wouldn't like anything.  No way do I think that what she did is the most she is capable of doing.

I still don't understand what Merline meant about "seeing" Kelly with respect to the gloves.

That guest judge was very scary looking.

Laurie should have gone home for that raggedy, obscene, hot mess. Lindsey has bee circling the drain just a bit too long, I guess. I never thought I'd say this, but I'll miss her. She and Kelly are kind of adorable together.

For once I agreed with every word the judges said. Since Lindsay hasn't done anything of note the whole season, it's no surprise she was eliminated instead of Laurie even though Laurie's look was stupefyingly bad.

I LOVED Candice's; in my heyday I would've rocked the hell out of that.

It looked to me like Coco Rocha couldn't understand their love for Edmund's outfit, not Candice's.

Did one of Merline's sleeves have a tear in it? I was so distracted by that.

Oh, Ashley. Have you watched this show? Ombré never wins. It's almost always a disaster.

I snorted when Heidi Introduced the guest judge, "Cucaracha."

Yeah, I was really feeling it for Lindsay.  As I said above, she didn't deserve to go home for that dress, which wasn't THAT bad (although unlike the judges I didn't care for the color but I didn't mind the design), but her face told the story and I would not have been at all surprised had she put her hand up (talk to hand judges) and said "I'm DONE"

It either was totally fantastic or totally hideous.  I'm puzzled too by the Swapnil being in the middle, since I really thought Kelly and Edmond were the MOR this time around.

I will second, third, fourth, and fifth Lindsey's auf - blah blah boring and blah again.  She didn't have anything of note this season, and that's the kiss of death.  I think she has a nice aesthetic, but it's there's no pull or gimmee to it, it's like low end Kors or Ralph Lauren, no spark.

Oh Ashley gal, pull your head out of your ass.  I am getting the Tim Gunn Save Vibe from all around her now.

I liked Edmond's outfit the best. It was a real runway piece and Tim told them they could make anything they want, it didn't have to be wearable. His under outfit was totally wearable though-he should have won IMO. Candice's piece was dramatic, but it looked like it was squashing the models breasts and that she couldn't raise her arms. Kelly's was very pretty in a runway type way as well-I'm partial to green and the material was beautiful. Swapnil's was just ok to me-the pink skirt didn't appeal to me and the pattern top didn't look current for some reason.

Yes, Laurie should have gone home for sending a half nude model out on the runway. But really , Lindsay didn't belong on a show like this. This show isn't about making everyday clothes and that is what she likes to do. Ashley dodged a bullet to with her mess.

I thought Swapnil's was hideous. It looked well made but that's it.

My one laugh for the night: Zac pulling back the fabric right over Ashley's model's boob to see if there was anything underneath it. LOL

I cannot believe that they didn't send Laurie home.  That was the hottest hot mess of an outfit I have ever seen!!!!  And, where would someone wear that?  The top completely exposed the model's breasts and the "hot pants" left half of her bottom exposed, until she added some extra material, which only added more volume to an already bad concept.

The model was extremely uncomfortable wearing it - she couldn't wait to cover herself up everytime her breasts were exposed.  I felt bad for her having to walk that catastrophe down the runway, and even worse for her when Zac was pulling open the jacket to examine the top.  For Gods' sake - it was so bad was there any reason to further embarrass the model?

There were so many different ideas going on and not one of them was executed well.

Tinkerbell and fairies??  WTF?  That outfit should be sent to Neverland, as in "Never to be seen again-land"!!!

It was clear that Nina does not like Lindsay, and that was more the reason she was eliminated than the fact that her dress was "boring" (and, yes, it was boring compared to the other garments).  Nina had that "something smells bad in here" look on her face when speaking to and about Lindsay.

I have to begrudgingly say that Candice's was probably the best, but she can be insufferable.  She really does think she is a know-it-all and above everyone else. She sounds like she is trying to mentor everyone else - newsflash - Tim Gunn already holds that position.

When Heidi said she was impressed with this runway, I have no idea what she's talking about.  Candace did an excellent job with hers and I was fine with her win.  I liked Edmond's, and was meh on most everything else except for the ones I hated.

I was hoping for more out of them since they could pick any fabric and do anything they wanted.  It ended up being more what Ashley said - it's too much choice, and some them couldn't think.  I thought this was a disappointing runway.

I had flashbacks to Emilio Sosa's bikini made of washers and string when Laurie's model came out.

Gee, you get a fabric full of holes and are surprised that it's open in spots? I hope that model got extra pay for exposing everything.

Runway:

Swapnil: i liked it

Ashley: ugh, meh

Candice: was okay

Kelly: kind of liked hers, love the green

Laurie: ugh, no

Merline: ok? Not sure. Kind of sloppy in back

Lindsey: basic, pageanty

Edmond:. I liked this look

I think I liked Emond's the best though I think Kelly's green best would look better over it

Lindsey may be lucky Laurie's was worse?

What does Swapnil have to do to get a win?! I could feel his frustration this week, and I don't blame him one bit.

I could understand his frustration too. I did not think he should win this challenge, but I thought he should have been in the top over Kelly. I appreciate her going outside of her comfort zone and presenting a nice outfit, but until Heidi pointed out the seam in the front I just thought her cocktail dress had a lot of puckering. I do hope Swapnil keeps his head in this though.

I liked Edmond's outfit the best. It was a real runway piece and Tim told them they could make anything they want, it didn't have to be wearable.

I liked Edmond's outfit best too. I did not mind the purple vest with the outfit either.

I knew Candice's outfit was going to win when I saw who was in the top and bottom. I liked it, but hearing Candice go on and on about the inspiration got old. I just wanted her to shut up when she was on the runway.

I enjoyed Merline's design as well. It did seem in the "safe" group this week, but I liked it. I could see where Ashley was going with her look. It had potential. Too bad it wasn't finished better and did not have a great fit.

I am fine with Lindsay going over Laurie. Lindsay really hasn't produced anything that was that memorable and has been in the bottom repeatedly. Laurie's outfit was horrible, but I could see why they kept her around over Lindsay.

The sheer hideousness of Laurie's silhouette was only eclipsed by the utter abhorrence of the actual design. The model would have looked classier and more dignified walking down the runway entirely nude than in that abominable getup. She should have been the one auf'ed.

I did not care for Edmond's purple cloud vest. It was more reminiscent of a cheap and abrasive drugstore loofah than a luxurious, pillowy cloud.

Laurie should be long gone...in what world do you not line that top. The jacket was uneven, the skirt did not cover her butt, the bell sleeves fought with the length of the skating skirt..the thing was too wretched for even a hooker to wear. That model deserves an apology.

Mean Queen Garcia did not like Lindsay, as she has made clear week after week with withering looks and dismissive criticism. Something about Lindsay just brought out the worst in Garcia, and that has been uncomfortable to watch. The green color was fine, and from the back it was ok...but it was clearly an unfinished design.

If she hadn't been so beaten down, she might have been encouraged enough to finish her idea. Garcia just sucked the oxygen from this poor woman.

Loved Kelly's fabric choice, Edmund can rock a pair of evening trousers, and Ashley is ever less impressive.

Candice please shut up...you are not as endearing as you imagine, you are becoming tedious.

I thought Candace's outfit looked well-made and interesting as she was working on it. But when the model stepped onto the runway wearing it, all I saw was a pirate wench costume.

If there was one thing I thought I knew about Nina Garcia, it was that she hated green. But I guess the season when she said that, green wasn't "on-trend." I was shocked to hear her praising the green material - with sequins, no less! - that Kelly used, and also calling the green color the only redeeming feature of Lindsey's design.

Speaking of Lindsey's design, who was the designer that kept making necklines that came up and over the model's chin? I can't remember her name, but I immediately flashed back to her signature look when Lindsey's design came out.

If that's really Swapnil's 150%, he'd be better off going back down to 40% imo.

Oh Ashley - you know you've done a poor job when even Aube can't save it.

I thought Laurie should have gone. Actually, I thought Laurie's model should have gone to Tim and asked to wear a t-shirt under that top and shorts under that skirt. Poor kid.

I'm trying to remember what designs Lindsay showed in the season opener that made them choose her to be on the show. They clearly haven't liked a thing she's done since.

Watching this show you'd swear the only greens are emerald and kelly, and the only blue is royal.

Why is it so difficult to cut the shorts/skirt longer than you think you need, then hem it once the model tries it on? Every season, EVERY SEASON, a model has to walk the runway with her cheeks and/or crotch hanging out. It seems so preventable. Laurie   didn't even seem apologetic about doing that to her model.

Ashley’s was so poorly made.  What a mess.  I liked Coco’s (or Coocoo’s) comment that it looked like she ran into the drapes.  What a mess.

Kelly’s looked like a burlesque costume to me, especially with the long gloves.  I can definitely see someone doing a good bump and grind in that outfit.

I felt bad for Laurie’s model.  She kept trying to pull the jacket over her breasts.  That was so ill-fitting.  To borrow a line from Greg Proops, her dress was so short you could tell if she was ovulating.

I would have put Kelly in the middle and Swapnil in the top three.  His was more inventive.

I’m going to miss Lindsey’s talking heads.

Between Lindsey and that sorority pledge on Scream Queens, this was not a good week for Taylor Swift look-a-likes.

Kelly should have won. Fabric choice was all hers and she maximized it. How could they call that costume-y and not Candace and her overrated swashbuckler costume-y design(s)?

Lindsey is likeable and relatable in her ultra generic, turtleneck girl existence, but she's definitely the most unfashionable person to ever be on a fashion show. It's funny how she keeps wondering why her dowdiness keeps failing and can't accept that being a seamstress doesn't mean you have fashion sense and should be a fashion designer.

Laurie's, if she had more time to execute it to her model's proportions, would have been sophisticated and sexy.

Edmund makes Bebe or Guess?/Marciano club/date clothes. Not very sophisticated so I agree w/ Coco on the taste level.

Overall, what an underwhelming showing.

I agreed with Laurie Staying over Lindsey, Lindsey just been bad for weeks now, and she was not improving while this was Laurie's first real stinker.

I also really liked the guest judge Coco Rocha, they should have people that worked in the fashion industry as guest judges instead of actresses that have no clue about fashion except what their stylists tell them ( last week's guest judge)

Yes, that's what I saw too. I mean, it was a well made pirate wench costume, but it was still very pirate-y. I guess that fits with the Captain Hook aesthetic. But I don't think the judges should have bitched about "Where would you wear that?" about Kelly's outfit, but not have the same question for Candice. Where would you wear the pirate wench costume, either?

I know that's her aesthetic, using leather, but it's pretty hypocritical when her talking head interviews are all about the other competitors and how they should push the envelope more. What about YOU stepping out of your comfort zone, Candice?? How about not doing something "edgy" for one week?

How did Lindsey get eliminated over Laurie? Laurie’s was absolutely horrible, Lindsey’s was only boring.

"Boring" is the kiss of death for the judges. They'd rather see an attempt at something unusual but messily made, over anything boring. Laurie's been consistent, while Lindsey has been mumsy to them all season long.

That said, Laurie's was AWFUL this week. So bad. I appreciate that she tried to be daring, but... it was SO bad. As Nina would say, the taste level just wasn't there. How can you not line a hole-y fabric like that? How can you not cover the model's butt? *sigh*

I was also surprised how much they hated Edmond's cloud vest/coat. I thought it was creative. I'm glad Nina at least said it was dramatic. I thought the coat was the stand-out part because it was cloud-like and very detailed in all the sewing he put into it. The stuff underneath was well made and the model looked great, but it was essentially a modernized version of what Sandy wears at the end of Grease.

I felt bad for Swapnil. He really tried, and he didn't even get in the top group? So strange.

Merline's... I didn't love. I thought the shoulders looked like she'd made cage-like shoulder pads. LOL. It was strange and too dark and lacy for me.

Ashley's... I also didn't love. I'm rooting for her, but she really needs to step it up. This one was generally pretty but just not very interesting or well made.

I thought that model judge was kind of bitchy, in an annoying way. She was all "I just don't liiiiiiiike it" about Edmond's coat. And she just "hates" other people's designs -- no real constructive criticism. And then she admonished Zac too! "Zac, don't show the model how to pose!"  *shaking head*  Weird.

I call bullshit on Lindsey leaving over Laurie; yes, yes, I know she's been boring and/or non-descript more than a couple of times, but the judges always say they do not take past performance into account, but rather, what happens on each particular challenge. Laurie's was a nightmare; it was ugly, un-creative (I mean, come ON! She just picked a bunch of fabrics she thought were different, threw them together and said "FAIRY". What the hellfire?) - and if we DO want to take past performances into account, Laurie herself has had some stinky weeks.

I was way more sad about Lindsey leaving than I ever thought I would be after my initial impression of her when the season first started. Say what you will about design, but the girl is luminous. She has that skin that glows from within and I am so jealous. Too, it was so hard to watch her slowly crumple week after week. I agree she probably never should have been picked for the show in the first place, but she didn't pick herself; Mondo, and whomever liked her enough to pick her so I'm sure she was confused as to why she could do absolutely NOTHING right in the eyes of the judges.

Once again, this week, when they showed previoiusly on Project Runway... I burst into tears when they showed Jake talking about his beloved doggie and having to leave.

Swapnil's whole attitude was adorable this week. I felt kind of bad for him that he was only safe, but I'm almost starting to get a Ven vibe from him with the weirdly shaped bodices that have almost become a theme for him, much like Ven's flower petal-ing. No way did they not know that was his design when it came out.

I don't care how ugly Edmund's purple cloud overvest thingy was, I'm still happy he's there. Ashley was horrible this week, and honestly, I would have been hard pressed to choose between her and Laurie for the trip home. Ashley will be in the finale, though, I'm pretty sure about that.

Finally: Candice. Candice, Candice, Candice. I still see Hot Topic or head shop leather bustiers/ vests/ halter tops from the 1990s. The outfit was okay, it certainly wasn't bad, but to me, it was VERY costumy. And they said - TIM said - don't make this a costume. I agree with everyone who said it was pirate wench. I guess out of everything up there, unfortunately, it was the "best." Then she had to run her mouth and thank them all for seeing her vision and appreciating her story and feeling her pain or whatever. Smug. She'll be in the finale, too, though, or at least the last one to go BEFORE the finale.

I think if they do four, it will definitely be Edmund, Swapnil, Ashley and Candice. Laurie will likely be/ should be the next one to go, if there is a god.

Laurie should go next time unless someone else majorly f**** up. Ashley was on this ice with her look but they baby her so. Poor Lindsey just is not a designer, she is more like a seamtress of basic pieces. And yes, what is with these "jewel" tones of green and blue? They always choose awful, Queen Elizabth shades. And was Lindsey's satin?? Anyway that too was like a giant squaremand the bottom a bit of every type of skirt she ever hears of.

I thought Candice's was just odd. But I am not at all into leather being worked into an outfit. A coat ot pants is about it for me with leather and even then, probably would not wear real leather.

I know they say that they judge based on what is sent down the runway and not on what the person has presented all season but they clearly did not do this for this show.  Lindsay's was not great but Laurie's creation was on a level all it's own.  Has there ever been a worse outfit on that runway????  It was poorly conceived, poorly fitted and poorly sewn.  The model's privates were exposed two ways.  It had an ice skater skirt.  For me it rivals, Vincent's cardboard tube dress (season 3?) that he just threw stuff on for decoration and the model couldn't walk in.  I don't think he went home for it either.

Swapnil's dress was beautiful but I think he was safe because that same unusual dress has graced that runway at least four times before.  It might have been something new to Swapnil but it's not new to Project Runway.  Do your homework Swapnil!

I couldn't watch a minute of Rachel Zoe's show due to the annoying commercials.  As for the spelling of her husband Rodger's name, I prefer to spell it this way - MOOCH.

This was a weird week.  The contestants were supposed to create something in the spirit of costuming that isn't really a costume.  We can all think of some early season contestants who could have done some neat things, but this group (as much as I generally like them) weren't able to do all that much.

Ashley:  WTF happened to you this week, hon?   This was a costume for when the Bride of Mummy goes to a ball at the castle.   The ombre effect was nice enough, but not nice enough to excuse that frickin bodice.   Bad, bad, bad.

Candice:   This looked well made, but to me it seemed like an upscale version of a Halloween costume.  The madam at a Transylvanian bordello.   Everything about this was kind of trite/recycled.   I'm ok with her winning as compared to the other options this week but it's a big old meh.

Edmond:  Yes, the pants were nice.  The top wasn't bad, I guess.  BUT he sent his model down the runway in a jacket made of shower scrubby poofs.  Spritz her with soap and she could scrub a wall and scratch her back at the same.   In his defense, however, he did try something a bit different.

Kelly:  Another naughty Halloween costume.  A New Orleans madam pulled on her green pegnoir over her nightie in a rush as there's a late night knock at the door.  The black mini dress looked poorly made.  The seams were all wrinkling and pulling.  What the heck was wrong with the dress?

Laurie:  Holy guacamole, was that bad.  Horrible.  Every single aspect of it was horrible.  I'm guessing she was safe because at least she tried to stretch a bit.  Bad, bad, bad result, though.

Lindsay:  Another boring, so-so creation in a long series of weekly boring, so-so creations.   On the face of it, you'd think Laurie would have been sent home, but I think it was Lindsay's week since she's consistently failed to deliver anything interested during the course of the contest thus far.  This looks like it was designed by a high schooler in home ec class trying to do something fancy.

Merline:   The cage thingies on the shoulder were really all that differentiates this from a standard opera kind of dress/costume.  The cages didn't really work, though.   Maybe a tad better than meh, but not much.

Swapnil:   How many versions of this dress have we seen over the years?   Mix two fabrics that don't usually go together.  Do a swirl on the front.  Voila, you're done.  It does seem nicely made though and it's miles ahead of what he did last week.

Ok, folks, get some sleep, get your act together and come back next week ready to work.

And I watched it just to see how bad it could be.  And it did not fail to deliver badness for the entire time.....The only redeeming thing was a very quick little quip from Rodger (i hate that pretentious spelling) that was funny in the moment but completely unrecallable now other than it was a play on words...

Who was it that said "that's some rack!" on one of the commercials?  Referring to her rack of clothes.

I didn't really like a single one of the creations.  If I had to choose a winner, it would have been Edmund's.  Laurie's jacket looked so itchy, I got hives just watching the model wear it.  So, in the judges minds, being boring is more offensive than being nuts.

Nina, stop saying things are "very editorial", it annoys me.  Thank you.

On a purely shallow note, Zac really is a cutie pie.

Zoe's frickin valley girl accent drove me up the wall.  How old is she?  That's something you're supposed to grow out of.   I couldn't tell most of the time if she was trying to be funny or if she's dumb as a box of hair.   I didn't make it all the way through and have no plans ever to watch again.
