Ok first of all that rock band bus was disgusting, I was skeeved at the thought of all the bachelor parties doing God knows what in it on their way to Mohegan Sun.

The hotel lady's strong Boston accent and the HW ability to understand her saying Hawthaaahn with no R  killed me watching them digest it! I think they wanted to comment but didn't know it was a speech impediment or what.

Lu Ann back when it was 2 words has to be a Catholic I imagine with her heritage and big family her low level discomfort/horror  with the witchcraft was funny. True Lu.

I fell asleep for the argument but did gather based on what she was saying in concepts, that Eboni had probably been reading How To Be an Anti Racist by author Ibram X Kendi, who I recommend but wasn't communicating it back very well.   Gonna re watch.

Dear RHONY producers,

Please stop bringing these clueless, ignorant, ill mannered, boorish, rude women to.New England.  These idiots have desecrated 2 of the nicest places we locals and tourists enjoy equally.  Last year, lovey Newport, RI had to deal with Leah and her drunken screechfest.  Now these stupids cows land in beautiful, historic Salem, MA and they can’t stop screaming, “Salem!!! BITCHES!!!” every five minutes.

New England has its fair share of idiots too, so we don’t need any additional “character” driving up from NYC.

Signed,

CT, MA, RI, NH, VT & ME

PS - I am personally mad these harpies got to stay in 2 of my favorite hotels.
PPS - for the sake of the staff at the Hawthorne, I hope Ramona didn’t leave her shit all over the bed, robes, towels, tile floor…

I am so in agreement with all of this post. Last year when they went to Newport and Leah tured it into a drunken screaming vulgar tirade all about her I was furious. And if they screamed Salem bitches one more time I was going to throw something at the TV. This is how I would imagine teenagers would act if going to Salem. I had to shake my head when the lady at the hotel was trying to give them some perspective on the witch trials and those fools thought she was saying that the trials and executions were held at the hotel.   Yeah things must not have changed much since 1692.

After skipping the last few episodes (I know I didn't miss a damn thing), I decided to watch this for the possibility of some interesting New England travel porn. I should've known better. Of course they sat around and argued.

Leah telling Ramona that she's what's wrong with the country was a real low point for her, and that's really saying something. Eboni demanding to know if the others were "aligned with white supremacy"... we all know she's not abandoning her Bravo paycheck, so what would she even do about it if someone were? This person worked for that network and took paychecks from that billionaire. Give me a f*cking break, get off the cross. She and Leah have managed to ruin this show.

I like Bershaun so far.

Leah, Eboni and Sonja need to exit stage left next season IMO.

Same here.  I stopped watching a few episodes ago.  I am still reading this forum to see if anything has changed.  Since I'm from Boston, I wanted to watch this episode.  After reading my fellow posters opinions, I'm glad I didn't.  Bravo needs to get rid Leah and Eboni in order for me and others to come back and watch.  I don't need lectures.  I need fun.

Considering that woman had just said the hotel was built in 1924/25, do those women ever listen to anybody other than themselves?

I don't get the whole dress up thing, what did dressing up in leather have to do with Salem?

Did we all think we were going to have a fun episode, I know I did but then here came Eboni and her brow beating anti racism accusatory speech, she is losing me as an almost fan of her, did she say that all of the other HW's were racists? I don't want to rewatch but I thought I heard her say that when they were in the hotel lobby pre dinner at that cool tattoo parlor.

All I am seeing are these women being much nicer to a newbie than they have been in past seasons newbies and the newbie automatically thinking that because these women are white they are racist until she deems they are not.

Also, hysterically typical of the girls having to pull Sonja off of Ramona to get her on the bus, like literally they had to pull her off of Ramona.

Eboni and Sonja go to Philly to meet the matchmaker in a restaurant and in typical fashion Sonja won't let an opportunity to eat free pass by orders clams or was it muscles or something that does not go with coffee, lol.

The women were in this wonderful, unique venue and what do we get?  More politics.  It could have been so much fun to watch.

Lean was absolutely cruel to Ramona. Unacceptable for any reason and nobody called her out on her behavior.

I also have to disagree that because Eboni   is new to the group she has to get her message out there immediately. Wouldn't it be better to ease your way into the group and then  when appropriate discuss politics or race relations?  And why is it ok for her to throw around white stereotypical statements like white fragility or supremacy but call her angry (NOT an angry black woman like she later said) and she goes nuts.

Eboni is the one that's uncomfortable in this group and it's showing. She constantly feels the need to beat them over the head with her blackness, ( chile relax ) .  Eboni needs to leave Ramona alone, Ramona is comfortable in her whiteness and living in her bubble and could give a shit about anything else. It was a long way for Ramona to arrive at this station in her life since she escaped the backwoods where she came from . Nothing will change her opinion and that's a fact . She feels she owes no apologies and does not give a good got damn !

How does TV work?  Can Andy go to the cutting room floor and re-edit what is left of this horrible season?  Eboni and Leah have taken over this show and its god awful.  Imagine how much fun they'd be having right now at Blue Manor.....I miss Dorinda so much.

I don’t think he cares about N.Y. anymore.  He has bigger fish to fry.  I was so looking forward to seeing Salem.  The hotel is the only pleasure I got for a few minutes.  Then came Ebony with her schtik and ruined everything for me like a machine gun boom, boom, boom, and that ruined it for me.  She is just so in love with herself and her cause, I just can’t with her anymore.  Leah too, who now thinks she’s the star of the show.

I don’t know, Ramona can’t be much of a moron if she’s gotten herself as far in life as she has. She garbles her words. That’s why we love her. It was really rude of Leah to talk to her and about her in the manner that she did. She’s lucky she didn’t wind up with a drink in her face!!

Yes, a true Moron Ramona is !! She's perfectly happy to embrace that title. She doesn't give a shit . Remember Ramona's Ex-husband had money and after she joined the show I believe that's where her entrepreneurship began to flourish, started with her Pinot Grigio wines.

I agree!!  My mouth dropped open when I heard Eboni say that.  If she had used different words, maybe "white elitist", I wouldn't have been so offended.  That could have been a conversation that didn't go wrong.  Ramona, Sonja and Luann (and even Leah, with her sudden need for a hair/makeup artist at all times, hiring a high school entrance counselor and a Chanel logo tattooed on her hand) all live in an elitist environment.  Eboni couldn't use the word "elitist", because she also has benefitted from living the same lifestyle.

News to Eboni and Leah - it is no one's fucking business who voted for whom and why.  That is part of the reason why our country is so divided.  Everyone feels they needed to know who voted for whom, and if someone chose not to disclose that information, it was/is assumed that person voted opposite of the person wanting to know.

Ramona was 1,0000% correct in leaving that conversation.  She knew she was going to get ripped into by Leah (who's like a rabid dog) and Eboni may have questioned her a little too much than Ramona would be comfortable with.  Ramona seems to be a smart businesswoman, but I also think she may not be super informed when it comes to politics (although I don't know, because she never talks about it, nor should she), so I can understand her not wanting to discuss her voting choice.  She may have voted based on one or two things that were important to her - as most Americans do.  AND, NEWSFLASH to Eboni and Leah - she is allowed her choice without having to explain or justify it!!!!

EDITED TO ADD:  Eboni can just shut up with her stupid justifications of her wrong use of words.  Just because someone voted for Trump, does not make them a white supremacist, or means they align themselves with white supremacists.  You could also say that if violent gang members, rapists or other criminals (depending on the state and laws on whether criminals can vote or not) voted for someone that you did, does that make you a violent gang member, rapist or criminal, or does that mean you align with their actions?

I'm also not 100% convinced that Sonja and Luann didn't vote opposite the way Eboni thinks they may have - they are just better at keeping things close to the vest than Ramona is.  And, in Sonja's case, I'm not even sure she voted at all!!  Sonja plays on both side of the fence, just as Luann said.  What's good for Sonja at the time is what she'll lie and swear to, so depending on whom Sonja is talking to, she may have voted either way.  Again - it's no one's fucking business!!

Either way, Leah and Eboni are so fucking annoying with all of their preaching and lecturing.  (Well, Leah is more about screaming at and belittling Ramona), they really are making this show unwatchable.

I do like Bershan, though.  She seems genuinely fun!

I wish I could like this over and over again! Best comment ever.

The problem is that Eboni won't clearly define her idea of a white supremacist.  Her message at the end was totally garbled, because on the one hand she says "A white supremacist is someone who voted for Trump" and yet in her next breath, she walks that back by bringing up her Trump-voting mother.  And she kept up that weird dance until the very end (of the episode).  It was a very simplistic, and yet totally garbled, definition of a really important term/concept.  She was asked point-blank "What do you mean by white supremacy?", and I thought she would jump at the chance to really expound on what white supremacy today looks like, and she whiffed it.

I heard this a lot during the election. If one voted R, they were automatically racist and a lot of other 'ists'. It was hard to separate the politics and issues from the one at the top.

There was just so very much going on at that time, so I do slightly give a pass for Eboni's stance, because I also felt strongly about things I was hearing and seeing at the time.  But Eboni's white supremacy statement is far too simplistic; far too black n white (no pun intended) and someone else's political beliefs aren't her business. She needs to focus on how a person treats her and acts around her instead. She doesn't even really know these other women yet, but she wants to put them in labeled boxes.

In the previouslies, Eboni saying in mock disgust that she feels like she's on the payroll to educate white women annoyed me again. I appreciate her wanting to keep awareness on the movement, but statements like that are dismissive and no way to bring people together. She would be less exhausted by it all if she let things come up during natural interactions, and address them then.

The best part of the episode was Lu's witch and broom joke! 😆

Being a female of a certain age, I'm laughing hard at the comments about latex and hot flashes! That's the exact first thought I had, too!

Leah is a waste of screen time.

Heads up, Bravo, you assholes:

Quote

Following the returns of Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Leah McSweeney and the addition of Eboni K. Williams, fans are seemingly losing interest as they call for the returns of former cast members Dorinda Medley and Bethenny Frankel.

According to TV by the Numbers, the premiere episode on May 4, titled “Back in the Big Apple,” brought in 960,000. Then, the following week, episode two, titled “Burning Up,” captured just 870,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, last year’s season 12 premiere in April was watched by 1.09 million viewers and the finale episode in August captured 1.12 million. Season 12 only saw less than 1 million viewers once and the highest rated episode of the season brought in an impressive 1.33 million.

Article here.

This is just one of several articles about the declining ratings of this franchise.

I'm so glad Potomac is back soon.  This franchise has become pretty much unwatchable for me.

Watching Leah and Eboni in their echo chamber is a chore.

I don't even care if it's production imposed or self-imposed at this point it is non-productive and a slog to watch.

We have years invested in the remaining three and love them, hate them, or a little of both they should drive the show until we have investment in the new cast.  That has gotten lost.

My biggest issue with Beth was the lessening of the multi-storyline seasons but at least we had a past.

So endeth the rant and I will return to my typical pithy posts....

Funny that Leah went around the room pointing out how each returning cast member treated her “like sh*t because she was the new girl” without even considering the way she herself behaved last season.

Calling Eboni out for ruining every social engagement with teachable moments isn’t treating her like shit. It’s letting her know she’s been coming off as preachy teachy and it’s buzzkill. I thought I might like her at first but I can’t with the smirky face.

Leah is so delusional. It's like because she was blackout drunk for a big chunk of last season (and therefore can't remember all of her asshattery) that she doesn't really think she did anything wrong. In her mind the ladies supposedly treated her like shit for no reason and it had nothing to do with her acting like an asshole throughout most of the season. On top of that, her contract got renewed so that makes her feel like she must have done something right since the showrunners want her kept on even the other cast members weren't thrilled to have to work with her again. Bravo basically validated her shitty behavior so of course she's going to continue to be a jerk in her sophomore season.

Eboni seems determined to be a one and done. How can she sit there and claim that she knows how to have fun? She's done everything she can to suck the fun out of every event/dinner/whatever they've attended. I do think it's great though that Bershawn is there to show that not every POC is on the same page as Eboni and this is clearly getting under Eboni's skin. It's like she thinks Bershawn is somehow being disloyal by not backing her up. I still think it's ridiculous that because Bershawn had a different opinion than Eboni that Eboni had to try and dismissively paint her with an "All Lives Matter" brush.

With Eboni I want to go all Tyra Banks on her because I was totally rooting for her initially and now I spend my time alternating between feeling embarrassed and annoyed every time she's onscreen.

I got into a huge fight with my husband on how he tends to protect his white friends, ( He has one close black friend who comes from extreme wealth) and male friends when they do and say sexist, racist or racially insensitive things. He also tends to equate people who come from a religious group who are white  as being the same victims of racism IN AMERICA as Black or Brown skin folks. Frankly the only thing that will change this shite is LAWS protecting EVERYONE, starting with the EQUAL RIGHTS AMMENDMENTS. Being aligned with white supremacy is not just wearing a hood or chanting racist slurs, it's everything to keeping a school district segregated to red lining suburbs to sub par schools for POC neighborhoods. I can't even begin to explain this because it is a deep and complicated subject.

Eboni seems like she came from privelege and she is playing the part of A Spike Lee Character in Do the Right thing ,when her character is more Whitely or Densie Huxatable, which is a very different experience than my Black daddy, my Black cousins and siblings who grew up BLACK and Poor. Hence why she is turning folks off. The buzz words, the Leah as James Baldwin, (James Baldwin was a civil rights icon, a literary icon and an LGBTQ icon, how da faq is that in any way shape or form,is that, LEAH) its meant to be in your face, dare i say PERFORMATIVE and then finally, we learn her mother and she, herself, considered voting for our ex pres? If she really was about that what she is preaching, that would not be her choice. That said, that doesn't negate her experience as a Black woman or any discrimination she faces but she needs to drop this ball on this show and go read Baldwin.

I am liking Bershan now because she is just BEING, BEING tacky, BEing Loud, Being Badly dressed. She is just BEING. I love Pose, One of my fave shows, a lot of it mirrors my teen life as I grew up in that era, Poor, Puerto Rican, I lived through the Aids Pandemic as a teen, it scarred. I love the show, but I wish it wasn't so much filled with tragedy, a show that has so many unrepresented folks, as if that is our only stories.  My writing group and I talk about that, how we wished there were more shows and movies about Trans folks, Poc folks where they are JUST BEING. I would have loved Eboni to just be her gorgeous self ( Seriously the chick has a face of a doll) Ramona is a dolt and an asshole, and I suspect not racially or PC at all. But those traits of Ramona would have revealed themselves organically, not Eboni working to pulling them out of her.

We don’t know her financial status and what priveleges she had. I have a friend who grew up just as poor as I did but got into a better chance organization which led her to a very prestigious institution which led to Columbia university. That education is a serious privelege. Yet that same girl will tell us all day she came from nothing and has had no advantages.  That’s one of the issues when we discuss race in this country, everyone thinks It’s just skin color, that poverty is the face of Black and Brown folks, it’s deeper and more complicated than that. I never negated Eboni’s discrimination or struggle but when u take a job at Fox News as a “token”, come on a show as the voice of “Black struggle” and you can’t understand it enough to explain it? Somewhere your tush got comfy or was comfy. I have quite a few middle class or upper middle class POC folks who can’t define this well either. One of my best friends is a Black girl who was raised by a single mother. Her single mother was an anesthesiologist. She was raised far from poor. Eboni never said she was poor, she said she was raised by a single mother and didn’t know her dad. Her skin color is what is the assumed “poor ness.”

Seems Andy is working overtime to make Eboni and Leah happen, most of his guests on WWHL are all saying how great they are, but the ratings don't lie.

I haven't stopped watching because I've followed the show since season 1, but I just watch on the weekend whenever I have nothing else to do, and if the next season contains either Eboni or Leah, I'm out. (But of course, I'll continue to be loyal to this crowd ;)

I was rooting for Eboni also, the first few episodes I understood she wanted to talk about racism and I understood she felt triggered by LuAnn, but I'm sorry, enough is enough. I know almost nothing about her and it's been 9 episodes already, she had her chance. Plus, her Elections' party and the night in Harlem were total snoozefests.

By having either Dorinda or Tinsley back I'm guessing that will push Eboni out and we'll be back having an all white cast, but at this point and with this particular cast I'm sorry to admit that I don't care. Bershan is great so far and I hope she comes back next season, but I'd put her as a friend.

Me thinks Leah is trying to push Ramona out, but I'm glad the viewers see that she's just antagonizing her for no real reason, Ramona knows her game and she's doing what she couldn't do in seasons past: the audience is with her.
