When I lived in Orange County and my husband worked for Disneyland, we went once a week or so. But, we didn't pay to park or get in and got a great discount on food. So it was a cheap night out for us.

Obviously we were the exception, not the rule.

I think one of the reasons I, and others who have said similar things, think that way is because when Josiah was young he had such a BIG personality. Stints at Alert seemed to have damped his spirit. Of course it’s true some are more exhuberant and demonstrivitve (spelling) in their emotions than others, but adolesence doesn’t turn an extroverted bubbly child into the adult Josiah is presenting himself to be now (unless something else is going on- like an illness or depression etc).

Since I am currently standing in the middle of Hollywood Studios in Orlando, my 4th visit to WDW in 3 years, I’m probably not the one to ask. BTW, 3 of the 4 trips included visits to Universal, too.

They are still college age kids even though they are married. If they were in college, I think  they would enjoy going with a group of their friends to see the Christmas lights & ride the rides.

True. But most of us have the option to go to so many other things -- theater, movies, parties with friends, bars, casinos, all kinds of restaurants, lectures, concerts of all kinds, comedy shows, interesting or fun night courses, gyms, a range of sporting events, games of teams we play on ourselves, etc etc. .... Their alternatives to get out of the house for a little excitement and a little something different are ... slim...... ... I think if a fundie-constructed amusement park were my only outing alternative, I'd go, too! And they don't seem to have much else other than the occasional Arkansas football game, really...Except for Gothard rallies. And really boring weddings and jinder reveals.

I think it depends on where you live and what's available. I know plenty of adults who make a yearly trip to Disney and have before and after they had kids and even more who have yearly season passes to Cedar Point. Hell, I know a family that no only makes a yearly trip to Universal every winter, they also have season passes to Cedar Point and Kings Island. Not what I would be doing or enjoying at this point of my life, but whatever floats their boats. 

Did the rest of the Duggar circus go to see the light or just Si and Lauren? I'll give the even more credit if it was just them and not all 100 of the family.

I don't, but I should... I like roller coasters.  (Maybe I should unabashedly say "Love", as I've been on the front row of the Thunderbolt at Coney Island - PSA, if you're willing to ride in the front row, you can go to the front of the line!)

It just depends on what you like. Hate amusement parks, but I love old cemeteries. If we saw these two in cemeteries we’d all freak the fuck out.

In one of the photos, maybe in Jessa's album, Josiah did have the ugly tandem sweater off.  He was standing in a very wrinkled yellow shirt.

Those "Naughty/Nice"tandem sweaters are quite popular at Ugly Christmas Sweater parties; I've seen them a few times. They're perfect for the Duggars because it keeps the wife permanently glued to her husband's side. I'll bet Jill wishes she could find one that she and Derick could wear every day.

You would hate my house! We ditched a lot when we moved and this house is bigger. Comfortable even sparsely furnished . Easier to keep clean.

That's not a house occupied by a couple of teenagers. It's so dull and lacks character, much like those two. No splash of colour, no knowing what they like, just some dull furniture and walls. it is at least clean and well cared for, which is probably a step up from the Tin House Mansion

None of these people have any actual art on their walls.  All they have are photos of people, fake plants & flowers and huge boards with cheesy sayings in tacky fonts.   Weird.

The living room photo, when I just saw the top as I was scrolling down, looked so eerily similar to the living room of the historic house we lived in when we were stationed in Pearl Harbor that I had to do a double take. The windows, even down to the curtain rods, the angle of the ceiling...everything looked identical. We even had our Christmas tree in the same spot. We did have curtains, however (though there are so many photos of the place before we got them up that it looked familiar anyway), and we never did the "wooden signs with inspirational sayings" décor, but it was definitely too close for comfort!

I think it looks nice! Makes me kind of stabby, as a 31-year-old who has NOT been handed a stylish, modern house to live in! Neither Josiah nor lauren have any clue of the level of hard work most people have to put in to live in a nice home like this.

Actually, that hanging in the dining room looks like a cheap, metal-edged chalkboard that someone has nicely written the saying on.  The lettering on the first row doesn't look precise, and it's not due to the photo angle.

Given that their abode is 10x the space of the mold house, I'm inclined to believe that Lauren would be more likely to either leave diapers strewn around the area, or put them in a room not frequently used, because she has the space for it, lol!
