5 pictures, Amy’s “re-grand opening”:

She really looks like she needs to go to the bathroom in this picture (& she probably does being that far along.)

Don't moms-to-be realize this is what they look like when they stand this way?  I would think a friend or family member would mention it or kid her about it & suggest she stand another way.  (I know this is a fad & that the pregnant Duggar gals aren't the only ones who do it)

Did the Duggars piss off Amy? It doesn't look like they went to her grand re-opening, instead, they're all shilling for Rhea Lana.

Where there's no grift to be had there are no Duggars. Gotta prioritize.

The picture of Amy is terrible, but the store looks cute.  I’m sure she’s trying to appeal to a particular clientele.  Hopefully, it’ll work out.

Never too early to tell "the girls" that their only purpose is to be breed mares, eh Michelle?

So sad.

It looks like Meechelle's neck is disappearing.  Does that happen??  The last few pics have just looked bad.

Well, your vertebrae tend to compress as you get older. So I suppose that can be visible in the neck area. I can't even imagine my body going through the amount of stuff her body's gone through, so I'm always surprised she can walk upright at all, frankly.....And they aren't healthy eaters, either.

Yeah and it seems like it has really hit her all at once.  Between her diet and her 5 million pregnancies she is going to have a really difficult senior life.  Get her some Boniva STAT!

Well, after much research I think the Boniva and all the rest are  poison, just my opinion.  I am 75 and still haven't lost any height.  Maybe because I only had two children, but, did have an early hysterectomy and had to get off hormones with the breast cancer, but still, appropriate diet, and exercise seem to be a good thing so far at least for me.

The weirdest maternity shoot yet. I've seen similar shoots but the women usually wearing less clothes.

I get an Ophelia vibe from this but I guess the Duggars and Duggar-adjacents would not get that reference. Pretty sure drowned madwoman is not what they are going for, though.

Amy looks a bit like Joy in the bathtub pic.

This generation has formal photo shoots of about every event known to man. Back in the day it was only senior pictures and weddings.

I hope the kids that grow up without their mother's baby bump pics, their own monthly pics and a zillion chalkboard event pics don't feel neglected.

That's what I thought, too.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy being in a bathtub in a dress or a nightgown or whatever that is. But maybe it's in the genes. She's related to a whole family of people who spent years "swimming" in jeans and long denim skirts....

Wow. So right. It makes me feel sad for her, actually. But it's really time for her to give this up and figure things out for herself. She is not
"the rebel Duggar" (whatever that is anyway).

The "Rebel Duggar" clearly is, or at least was, Deanna.  She was just being kind and loving all those years, instead of telling Amy to cram it as she tried to grab her credit, lol.

I don't know.  I remember drinking orange juice after eating sweetened cereal in milk, and it was just too sour.  Milk and oranges together just doesn't seem right to me.  I do like bubble baths.  Food in the tub?  Uh-uh.

The acid in orange juice would curdle milk in any case. Cream, you could maybe get away with. Maybe she just likes creamsicles, and the combination appealed to her. In any case,, as it appears here, the milk is watered down to where there is not really enough to actually react with a few orange slices.

Food and clothing. .... And when you get out, your dress/nightgown/whatever is going to weigh a ton and drip milk all over the floor.

I like a little artsiness. I like a little kink. I like to try things a little out of the box.

But to me that whole situation looks like something that'll ultimately require way too much cleaning up.

Which would quickly spoil the fun for me, even if I wasn't 7 months pregnant. And if I was 7 months pregnant -- and wearing a 15-pound dress -- just no.

(Plus, what you get out of it is a picture that's oh-so-trendy! today....but when somebody gets a load of that same picture 15 years from now it's going to be very very WTF?)

The "milk bath" is big in pregnancy circles. As is the case with Amy, the women dress in lace.

Okey dokey.

It's the orange slices that I find weird. It would be like bathing in a cocktail.

I had to check out Milk Baths after reading about Amy's. Some photos were nice but there were some that were downright creepy. It seems most women wear a more revealing lacy white nightgown or a fancy, lacy white bra. Amy looks like she's wearing a heavy black satin tank top. I think she should have worn orange or yellow to match the fruit to give the photo a more lighter look, if that makes sense.  Most had pink or red rose petals as well as rose buds floating in the water which I think looks better than the citrus slices & daisies but to each his own. Maybe she wanted more of a country look.  Who knows?

This was interesting in my searching:   One of the ladies had posted her milk bath picture on her IG. Someone commented that they owned a company that sold baby items & wanted this lady to promote their things since they loved her milk bath pictures & other pregnancy pictures she had posted. She was pretty so I can see why they wanted her to promote their items.  Thought of Jill right away except she does nothing to promote C&L in a positive way.

Just Googled it. I didn't find almost any of the pics attractive or even artsy. Definitely a trend the world can do without.

And that is the kind of picture that should be kept private. Husband, close friends, whoever, could have access to it. Us? Virtual strangers? Nope. Keep it private. No one needs to see that.

And here's the really bad news.

I'd bet big that most of the people who have those taken would have zero interest in doing so if, in fact, the pictures would be put into a private album that only their family and actual, real friends would see.

Warhol was wrong. It's not that everybody's going to be famous for 15 minutes. It's that a whole lot of everybodies are going to act as if they're famous and ceaselessly struggle to make themselves famous for, oh, a lifetime or so?

Is that like cow milk milk? It’s gross and unhygienic if it is.

It can be watered down cows milk, powdered milk, or goats milk.  Amy is doing it for the aesthetics, but milk baths have been around for centuries.  Milk naturally has lactic acid which is a mild AHA which would exfoliate the skin and the fat would help moisturize.  As long as you rinse off afterwards, it is not unhygienic.  It's not any worse for your skin then commercially available bubblebaths filled with sulfates, or epsom salts, or bathbombs filled with baking soda.

I agree that rinsing off largely makes it safe, but on the other hand, bubble bath doesn’t need to be pasteurized and refrigerated, and it doesn’t turn into yogurt, and Amy would be less likely to end up drinking cranberry juice.

I can't imagine that there are enough well-heeled young men in Springdale who want to spend an evening out drinking expensive whiskey and smoking cigars.

Well,  probably not in Springdale itself, but the metro population of that area is slightly over 450,000 so maybe there is a market for it.   They always make it sound like they are in the boonies.

Michelle makes it seem like they have some Little House on the Prairie existence when she's really just minutes away from all sorts of conveniences beyond the joys of Wal-Marts as far as the eye can see. LOL

That has always annoyed me about this show;  I haven't spent much time in Arkansas, but I have friends that grew up in Fayetteville and I know the area has a decent size population.

I just had to look up the difference between a baby shower and a baby sprinkle, and whoa are the claws on the Duggar women out.  A sprinkle is supposed to be a lower key affair for a second (or third, etc) child--less money, fewer guests, fewer and cheaper gifts, etc.  I guess none of these Christian women could throw Amy a real baby shower for her first shower.  I wonder how that check is going to be split.  Will someone get Amy's meal or will she have to pay for it?

I had never heard of a baby sprinkle, because I am a Clueless Old Lady (COL).  That is really tacky to do that for Amy since she is expecting a first child.  Also most showers I go to are either in a home or a private room at a club or restaurant.   I do think it was nice that Amy could have a shower with friends without being overwhelmed by all those Duggar women.

I have never heard of a baby sprinkle, either. But, I've also never heard of someone throwing themselves a baby shower or baby sprinkle. I'm assuming the Duggar sprinkle was thrown by the Duggar women-folk and the bigger shower was thrown by one of Amy's non-Duggar friends.
