They reacted to this situation awfully. The should have kept the injured in one of the shops and had them fortify it. The rest should have ran to get help or something. They should have never split up, and they should have NEVER followed Nickolas. It was too big of a moment for him.

I'm in denial. He can't be dead. But there were so many Walkers....so many.

My students are going to all be talking Walking Dead tomorrow.

You should have "RIP Glen" waiting for them on the blackboard.

I am so used to "is he/isn't he" teases I have not shed a single tear over this. And ordinarily I am a blabbering mess when a character bites it (Hershel, Sophia, Beth, even freaking Merle).

Just heard the statement on TTD. I stick to my belief he is not dead. That's my final word until the next episode that confirms it either way.

This is an example of the writer's having the characters do stupid things to up the drama.  Glenn would've gotten on the roof.  Michonne and Glenn would've stashed  the injured people in a safe place.  LIKE ON A ROOF. And then went to get a car/help.

The whole situation was out of character.  They've survived this long by not being idiots (except when the plot calls for it).  So don't make it an idiot plot just to up the drama.

I have no idea why Daryl was driving up and down the road.   It seemed pointless.

I don't either. Does anyone? Daryl just seems so random and pointless lately. Sorry fangirls, but I would trade him for Glenn in a second.

GODDAMNIT! I knew that Glen's redemption project would blow up in his face. WHY didn't he just throw Nicholas to the walkers and save himself? I knew that splitting up was going to lead to disaster...

And I tried to ignore all the omens too: Glen taking out his pocketwatch, making that last walkie-talkie communication with Rick (which was how they met) and the final red flag... taking fuckin' Nicholas with him. Nicholas took Noah out in a similar way. ARGH!!!

Don't forget Glenn saying everyone has a job to do. It was a saying of Hershel's. Beth quoted it to Maggie during the flu breakout in the prison.

Okay so...maybe Glenn gets inadvertently covered in Nicholas guts, mirroring how they walked through Atlanta, and he walks through the hoarde.

Maybe.

Maybe.

Maybe I need to go buy a tin foil hat.

It's easy enough to make one. Grab some Reynold's Wrap from the pantry and you're good to go. I'm not saying that from experience or anything.

I'm still holding onto any shred of hope that Glenn is alive - even though that might be an actual shark jumping moment, I'll take it - but I spent most of the episode expecting his death. From Glenn's heart being on full display, his absolute faith in Nicholas, his "dumbass" remark to Rick as the ultimate callback to the very first episode and their history...I texted my sister and mother right after he said that: "Holy. Shit. They're going to kill Glenn." Which made it all the more agonizing.

I call upon our patron saint, Yvette Scott Brown, who says "Glenn crawled under the dumpster and is, even now, making sweet, sweet love to Maggie." YES. PREACH.

I'd happily jump that shark, and in a leather jacket to boot.

I'm choosing to live in denial. That's my choice, until we see Glenn's bones stripped bare with a pocket watch hanging from a rib and possibly a great red arrow pointing his way saying "Glenn's corpse". I choose to believe aliens teleported him to safety because they thought he was too pretty to die. That's not too farfetched for a show about zombies! I'm happy with that choice.

Well, I'll take your bets, everyone who thinks Glenn Just Survived Somehow.  Lay your money down.

I think the whole thing, including no "Memorium," is just a conspiracy maneuver to manufacture Monday morning water cooler speculation instead of the entire audience being pissed off and speaking in one voice to say:  Fuck you, show, for killing Glenn.

I'm mad about Glenn and mad about being manipulated.

I'm going to be able to get over saying Glenn isn't dead over and over again eventually, but not yet.

I tend to think they like balance.  I think Rick getting into trouble because of the people Morgan let go is going to be balanced out by Glenn surviving because he had mercy for Nickolas and it eventually saved him when Nickolas committed suicide by becoming a meat shield.

Tears for Glenn, here and my husband says if they kill Rick he's not watching anymore.

My husband was actually worried they were going to kill Rick tonight. He yelled at the TV, "Ghoulina can't take anymore!"

If they really want to screw with us, Glen will survive, fight his way back to the gates of Alexandria, where he'll get shot by that gun Morgan let the Wolf run off with. They will both somehow end up in the same place at the same time, and Chekov's gun will win. Or maybe it's Chekov's walker, because the guy who took the gun who later got shot by Rick (?) will bite Glen.

I'm going with hole in the bottom of the dumpster, and Glenn is able to crawl into it like Rick crawled into the tank. See writers? A story comes full circle....

Alexandria has not been worth it. At all. Our group should have set up their own community again hid it away from the world.

My head is a jumbled mess. My heart is heavy. FUCK. YOU. SHOW.

I am firmly in denial land. There's no way they would kill Glenn like that. All alone and with no one to know what exactly happened to him. He deserved better than that. Why why why did he have so much faith in Nicholas...that fucker got him killed in the end. Poor Maggie. I just can't. ::ugly cries some more::

The only other thing I can process right now is that Morgan done fucked up. I thought the Unfair Wolf with the gun would come back to haunt them later in the season. I was definitely not expecting him to attack Rick. I actually said 'oh shit!' when he appeared in the RV. I LOL'ed when Rick just totally unloaded on them. Yeah, don't fuck with crazy-emotional-Rick, people. Rick and Carol get it. I wonder if Morgan had been in the RV with Rick would he have tried to talk him out of killing the wolves? Would he still think those psychopaths lives are precious?

He's alive and fuck this show for making us sit through a boring ass Morgan flashback until we get a scene with Glenn.

I hope this is right.  I can't think of any other main character where we and the rest of the cast had an extended wait to find out that they were really dead.   Partly because I could see Maggie and some others insisting on going out looking for him, it would seem weird if they didn't do that, especially after the season they spent trying to find a minor character like Sophia.

Do these folks not understand the idea of a mercy kill?  Annie (I think that was her name) would rather get eaten alive than put a bullet in her head?  You see a guy being ripped to shreds behind a fence and you don't want to stab him with your sword?

In real life people die in stupid and mundane ways but there's no way they'd have someone as important as Glenn get killed like that unless Steve Yuen insisted on leaving the show.

I think that this is one of the first times that I saw Rick really panic and appear scared to be all alone. Is that the same RV that Dale had? If so, everyone knows that the radiator hose is shit and craps out all the time.

Bummed out about Glen, BUT if he is alive (which I doubt), they need to have a very logical way to get him out of it, otherwise it was drama for the sake of drama. There were so many walkers, it just does not seem possible. Any chance for a storm drain that he could slide into?

I'll trade all the Alexandrians for Glenn. Okay??

Can we keep Panic-Attack-Doctor Denis?

Yea, as much as I hate it, I think Glenn is gone. And that they're just toying with us because they can. Honestly, although I am heartbroken, I'd be more pissed if I went through all of that and he wasn't dead.

They did it with Carol in the prison. She was missing and Daryl managed to stumble across her. We went a whole almost a whole episode thinking she was probably dead, right?

And frankly, not to the audience, but to the characters on the show, Andrea was dead to them but she wasn't.

My DVR cut off just as Rick was trying to crank the RV. I see posts referring to him in peril. What fresh danger did I miss after he killed the wolves?

And has anyone made sense of what Daryl was trying to accomplish all episode?

It feels like I lost a friend tonight. For me, Glenn will forever be the happy teenager in Season 1 zooming down the abandoned interstate in his red sports car. Rick may take this loss harder than Maggie.

Didn't the black guy have bites on his leg? No one was treating his injuries as fatal or trying to cut off his leg to save him, but those injuries sure looked like more than just minor owies.,

No, I get why Morgan gets the flashback episode next week. Yes, it heightens the tension on the aftermath of Glenn's death and Rick's fate, but it also is important to inform the reasons behind Morgan now refusing to kill because we've seen an immediate repercussion of it and we're probably about to see another testing of that resolve when it comes to light that this community has nearly been obliterated and there are very few people of skill with weapons left.

To do him and his journey justice we need to see just how he flipped on his decision rather than just hear the story; there won't be time later to give it its due and understand Morgan's headspace because the herd is coming, Alexandria is in shambles, the number of able bodied people has been culled considerably and the fight.is.on.

Loved that after Rick gives his big speech about staying the course and not being selfish, he gets a big kick in the nads when he sees that baby food jar and knows that these fools have been to Alexandria and wonders about Judith's fate. He wants to haul ass to Alexandria but if he does it'd be for himself and not for the group.

Also loved that like with Glenn calling him a dumbass when they first met, we also get a callback to the moments right before that which was the end of the pilot of Rick, trapped in a tank/Rv, surrounded by a swarm of walkers and looking like he's about to die.

Morgan was a favorite character UNTIL he returned! Now everyone hates him. Haha

Close.  Morgan was a favorite character UNTIL he returned AND started knocking threats aside instead of killing them, which allowed them to go on and kill others.

Michonne is another that has to remember that weak get you killed. It is only the strong survive. You help if they can keep up, if they can't you leave them behind or kill them. At this point the new world is only going to have Rick, Carol and maybe Carl since he also kills when it's needed. Because what was she planning on doing with the guy that got bit? She knows he's a goner, why was she telling him he'd get home? Or was she planning on bringing home so they can kill him there?

Dying for the Alexandrians is not worth it. Glenn should've shot Nicholas in the forest.

I'm not looking forward to a Morgan flashback after this episode. He let killers go free to kill again. Those people were to far gone to be worth saving. They were chopping living people up for no reason.

I'm actually kinda curious about the Morganfest next week, because it's a Gimple-written episode, and the combination Gimple-Lennie James already brought about one of my favorite episodes ever. And yeah, he fucked up, but we already knew that last episode. And Lennie James still is, to my taste, the best actor who has ever passed through this show. Also, I remember being promised cheese.

So Nicholas can't even die without fucking things up for everyone, nice to know. That's another point in the column of "how incompetent the Alexandrians are".

After hearing that statement on TTD, Glenn better be dead, yo. Or I'm going to be pissed off at the "shenanigans," as Damon Lindelof called it.

I am with the mightysparrow - I think Glenn will "live on" through the inevitable baby that the show has been telegraphing.

Fuck this show. Fuck it. I'm not watching a Morgan flashback episode next week! These writers really misread the situation if they thought we would want to see more of Morgan and his damn stick-fu when we've possibly seen Glen eaten alive.

I'm so annoyed.  Flam - flames. Flames, on the side of my face, breathing-breathl- heaving breaths. Heaving breaths... Heathing...

This is the exact reason I turned on Lost and stopped being as interested in Game of Thrones. I hate shows that kill characters just to prove how daring they are. This show is a grim sad-fest. They should be mindful of not taking away some of the few things that make this bearable.

What I would actually be pissed about is a show just keeping characters around because they are fan favorites and killing of red shirts left and right. Nobodies safe and they never should be. If Glenn is in fact dead, I will miss him a lot. But, I'm not mad about it. What I get mad about is shows doing backflips drying to appease fans. I want them to write the story they want to make and make the moves they want to do. I can't approve of all of the moves but I respect them.
