MY seasonal favorite is the Plantar's Peanut Christmas commercial.

It's the one where the Nutcracker shows up and Mr Peanut turns and says "RICHARD".

LOLOLOL, clever use of the name...........

I am in love with the Neutrogena spokesperson.

Holy Crap is she pretty.

My new favorite commercial is one for some fast food chain where a father, needing money, picks up his son and shakes quarters out of him.

It's not a great commercial, but when my son was in high school (yes, I am *that* old), he used to drip quarters.  If anybody needed money, they just went around the house checking everywhere he had been sitting.  You'd have a buck or two in no time.

I was desperately looking for a .gif of Buffy calling the mayor Dick, but couldn't find it. *sigh*

The Walmart commercial showing the dads (and the sons) cooking Thanksgiving dinner is TV porn for me. I would love to sit in front of the TV on Thanksgiving and watch football while a nice meal is being prepared for me.

Its a Little Caesar's commercial, yeah its cute

It's obviously not meant to be real, so it's silly for me to be annoyed, but I nevertheless don't like that one because he just shakes out the change, grabs the pizza, and goes -- so the poor worker is supposed to come around and pick all those coins up off the floor?

Where I work, Little Caesar's has invaded the subconsciouses of my co-workers.  As they're taking down the history of the dog visiting the vet, they invariably write down "Diet = Little Caesar's" which I promptly change to "Cesar" as I type the records into the computer ('cause I don't believe that many dogs eat pizza.)  I've told several of the techs that Little Caesar is pizza, Cesar is the canned dog food with the cute lil Westie...all to no avail.

Canned cat food varies pretty significantly (quality of the ingredients, percentage of calories from protein/fat/carbs, whether the ingredients are species appropriate), so if I was keeping track I'd want it noted what specific food they were eating.  Presumably it's the same for dogs.

That "holy crap is she pretty" girl you're referring to is, I believe, Olivia Holt.

Yes, she is stunning and only 19.

There's a new Toyota commercial (Avalon, maybe?) where the first person they show using the car has her cargo area full of knitted stuff to go yarn bombing. It was one of the only cool portrayals of a knitter on a commercial; usually we are the punchline for being old fashioned and boring (or for giving our loved ones ugly gifts).

I don't actually yarn bomb (the only time I'm going to put my hard work out in random public places is when I sometimes hang scarves and hats with notes near some of the churches and parks where the homeless congregate), but I get tired of the out-of-touch grandma/crazy aunt stereotypes that are applied to yarn crafters. Here's some realism- advertise a coffee shop or bar by showing a Stitch and Bitch group laughing and enjoying a nice outing!

As a knitter who thinks yarn bombing is stupid, I'll take being portrayed as old-fashioned and boring.

I am resigned to knitting being considered old-fashioned and boring, as long as it keeps yarn prices down and out of the hands of the overly hip and ironic.

Oh, my!!  What a cool thing!  I especially loved the Wall St Bull, and the faces on the Australian tree!  Thanks for that!

You're welcome! More power to the lady in the commercial for using her Toyota for such a noble purpose.

Good point!

That looks like an awful lot of work.

And a fucking waste of yarn that's just going to end up in a landfill once the city workers cut it down.

I'm sorry but the new GE commercial "Imagination" just blew my mind.

If it's the "ideas are scary" one my mom thought was new tonight during football, that's been revived after premiering two or three years ago.  I'm glad to see it again.  If there's a new one, I hope it's as good.

I pretty much hate all the Credit Karma ads, but there is one where the dad meets his daughter in the hall and refuses to change t shirts (they're both wearing the same one). It's pretty funny, he has a great delivery.

I just have to smile about the new Amazon commercial with the elderly priest and imam who discover they both have achy knees. After an afternoon of tea, they independently order something for each other.  Amazon boxes arrive. The final shots are of each man opening a box with an Amazon knee brace and then kneeling and praying comfortably. It's sentimental, but I think it's uplifting for a year marked by such strife.

I was coming to post about this. I love it and it's spot on with everything happening now.

Do you mean imam? Iman=supermodel and widow of David Bowie. Haven't seen the ad, but assuming from context above is typo. Although I suppose years of heels could do bad things to one's knees and it's a hilarious image.

The commercial that has grown on me is for some sort of auto dealer - it features a song with the words "that didn't suck" and "I kinda liked it"  - makes me chuckle!

OK - just saw it again - it's for something called "Carvana"

I would love that too.  I just wouldn't want to think about the cleanup in the kitchen though. ; )
