Everything happened at such a breakneck speed. This really needed to be a full season.

Game of Thrones 

I have read the books, I have watched the show faithfully, more than once. 

I am going to miss this. I was so enthralled with this story and for me, it has been perfect. 

Thanks to GOT for providing this wonderful source of escapism.

It’s interesting that the spoilers for this episode were dead on, a week ago. I guess security at this level is impossible now. 

I felt like we got a lot of character interaction and dialogue that we really could have used earlier in the season. 

My only eye-rolling moment was when Arya says “I know a killer when I see one”, right after literally everyone left alive just watched Dany commit large-scale murder.

Jon somehow surviving after killing Dany seemed difficult to believe. (Also, no one else saw it happen ... did he confess?) Seems like between Dothraki and Unsullied he never would have made it to that boat alive. 

Convenient that all the brown people quietly agreed to go elsewhere.

Fuck Bronn.

You know that phrase "it is what it is?" Well it was what it was. I'm just happy I'm someone who cares more about the journey and not the final episode of a show. I'll remember all of it except the final two episodes. Last week was a huge disappointment and this week was boring as hell and anticlimactic. That's all I got.

I’m so confused why Aegon Targaryen is not the king of the seven kingdoms but honestly this ep was almost worth it for the shot of Danerys walking towards the stairs and Drogon’s wings unfolding behind her.

I have to say that I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would.

I'm bummed that Bran is King, but maybe now that he is ruler he will finally confer some useful information to people? However that bizarre small council meeting has me doubting though.

Was happy to see Ghost & Tormund again.

The rest turned out pretty much okay. Glad Brienne & The Onion Knight made it to the finish line.

Awful. The only twinge I felt was for Brienne writing in the book (that survived a massive conflagration may I add) for Jaime. The jokes weren't funny, the end was unsatisfying and nonsensical, and the plot was idiotic. 

Why? No wonder Emilia Clarke gagged and Kit Harrington said he found it disapponting.

So Sansa and Bran successfully set their own rise to power into motion. I'm almost impressed by that. (Sansa through the betrayal, Bran through telling Jon about his lineage, knowing what it would set into motion.) Jon isn't my favorite, but I'm glad he escaped his nearest and dearest at the end.

Towards the end I felt like a Jets fan. Just End the Season.

But because I invested so much energy into this series, I'll just mention the (very) few good things I had to say about the finale:

1) Jon killing Dany was very well-done cinematically. It was like the nephew kiss of death. I've gone enough into my feelings about the character assassination of Dany so I won't spend more time on it. I also liked the glow Dany got when she saw the Iron Throne. 

2) Drogon grieving and then burning the Iron Throne was good.

3) At least Ghost was reunited with Jon.

4) Loved seeing Tormund show up, still looking freshly sexed.

5) Most of all, Brienne shows that she's the best person in Westeros by writing in Jaime's book and still treasuring his memory. That was one moment that really pulled on the heartstrings.

As for the rest I have nothing good to say. Absolutely the worst shit show of a finale I can remember. Of all the horrible things about the finale, I'll just point out one really shitty part: all the Stark siblings are again separated and never to see each other again. Fuck that.

I was sort of hoping for some remorse on Daenerys' part, some acknowledgment that what she did was horrible on all levels, but not one ounce of it, none. Her grandiose discourse was scary as shit.

She believed her own delusions and thought she was the only one who knew better what was right for the people of the whole world. 

She was dangerous and needed to die. I am glad Jon had the courage to do it.

I'm satisfied... We started with the Starks.. We ended with them kinda controlling the 75% of the known world... In my head cannon epilogue.. Arya conquers west of Westeros... So that's the North with Sansa.. The True North with Jon ( cuz he's not going back to the NW is he?)  And Bran everywhere else... I liked Brienne finishing Jaime's entry... Loved the new small council meeting.. Edmure was exactly as you'd expect him to be... Grey Worm gets to ride off and probably take naath... And really anything he wants on that side of the globe

I have to say that the things that consistently entertained me the most throughout the entire show were the dragons and the dire wolves!

That was the end I wanted for Jon. I wanted him to be alive and back in the North, reunited with Ghost. I'm glad he said fuck the wall and went off with the Wildlings.  Drogon’s grief was awesome. Sansa got what she wanted. I hope she finds as little joy in being QiTN as her brothers did. She has no one watching her back, so she’d better hope the fair weather Northerners never get bugs up their butts where she’s concerned. I can’t believe Bronn got all that wealth. Glad to see Arya on her way. Bran the Broken? Tyrion, you still suck as Hand.

I don’t think he’s going free. I think he’s helping the Free Folk get settled. At this point the Nightswatch will likely be a long term penal colony and a diplomatic point of contact with the freefolk.
