Rt66vintage August 28, 2018 Share August 28, 2018 Angela was so ready to relax back at the hotel, and I was right there with ya, baby! She did very well at the village. Maybe Angela was interested in a long cool African dress, but was concerned about the price. I didn't get the impression Michael was buying it for her. The salesperson said quietly to Michael "I speak English." Perhaps Angela would've preferred to deal with that salesperson alone, later. Much later. Is it possible that because Angela is so "manly" she had her one-night stand, and was ready for some alone time? Hit it & quit it? Why did mother Michael feel so justified in quickly turning up her nose at Angela's offering? I agree with an up-post that our girl is not stupid & will soon detect she's being used. 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/72913-season-2-discussion/page/45/#findComment-4625909

The baby was in the Special Care Nursery, like mine, so she warranted some additional attention. She was born in a well respected hospital north of Boston, in the mid 90's, routine ultrasounds were very common by then, so even if she'd messed up her dates, the ultrasound would tell the story. A co worker of mine had a baby that weighed in at almost 12 pounds. No gestational diabetes, just a big honking baby. It happens. That said, I doubt that Karine is likely to have a very large baby, she must live on candy and soda, like the teenager she truly is. 11 minutes ago, ava111 said: Isn't being fat in Africa a sign of prosperity and wealth? Pondlass1 August 28, 2018 Share August 28, 2018 None of the Americans comment or seem shocked by the poverty they see - or maybe they do off camera. We don't see them 24/7. I felt bad for that tied-up rooster and the dog on a 2 foot chain. I'd want to set them free. The church service was something else. They might have played it up for the cameras, though. It must take a lot of energy to be carrying on like that for hours on end, no wonder they're all so slim. And all that praying hasn't gotten them anywhere. But I guess it passes the time. Kareeeny has lost the fresh young look of last season. Her face is puffy, her hair matted and she's lazy and sleepy. If she's not pregnant, then what is wrong? She's only 21 and apparently aging fast. I don't see any of these relationships moving on from this season. I haven't read spoilers, but surely they're all done and over by now. GoGamecox August 28, 2018 Share August 28, 2018 Three observations: * Clearly Stacey and Darcey got a special from their doc on the lip and facial fillers, and I suspect they've both had facelifts, too. They probably pressure each other into getting these things done so they'll deal with their insecurities and look the same (rather than one look younger than the other after procedures). * I actually like Angela a little more now after seeing her learning and using the language, greeting locals, etc. She at least put the snail in her mouth and she tried to pretend to be excited about the meal Michael's mother made for her (but we can all agree how vile the way for her to get rid of it was). She's trying to "get it" when it comes to the culture sometimes, which is more than the others. I think her hangup about not getting a Nigerian outfit has less to do with culture backlash and has everything to do with the weight issue (and maybe the cost, because it's clear she's not loaded). I can't believe I'm actually giving her props, because as a child of the South myself, I wouldn't want her to be our first round draft pick for shows like this. But she's doing better than I expected. * I can't wait to see what happens with Ricky's big secret reveal and the brunette chick. Any ideas? 12 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/72913-season-2-discussion/page/45/#findComment-4626954
doyouevengohere August 28, 2018 Share August 28, 2018 Just watched it. Good Lort! I hate these people yet I can not turn away! Angela- I give her props for learning a few phrases and how to greet Michael's mother. It's more than most of the 90 day fiancee gang does. However she lost me with the ciggies and the way she acted at the market. I don't think he meant to be insulting by calling her fat. English is not his or the shopgirl's first language so I think he was trying to correctly explain the situation using correct terms and it just came out wrong. He was trying to do something nice for granny and she couldn't just accept it. She would probably look thinner in a Nigerian dress, all covered up, without back fat hanging out. Rickey- Not only does he wear camo, he wears clashing camo as an all over outfit. I'm thinking this whole trip wasn't about meeting Melissa, he just wanted time away from his children and responsiblities and failures of everyday life to have a boinkfest. I love that he's all" I want to be a gentleman and not pressure her....." cause he just totally planned this trip without her input and showed up and demanded she meet with him and drop everything to hang out with him. It seems like tricky rickey has another lady in line . Shopping for stepmoms in columbia. Tarik-ki tikki tavi- Hazel can do so much better. I love that he wore his best pharroh tank top to meet her parents. No one knows how to make a great first impression like this bozo. Yes, the church service was weird and too long. Tar pit needs to understand that this is ingrained in Hazel, she will likely carry some of her beliefs with her and might even want to go to church if she comes to America. If she's away from home, lonely, etc.... she might draw into that sort of community and have deeper beliefs even if she seems non religious away from her parents NOW. Jesse/Darcy- Dang her sister is the younger looking /prettier twin! Jesse is always threatening to just full leave. Then leave! No one wants to see them! I usually tune these two out, but I wanted to see the house they were staying in- it was very pretty and definitely the star of their segment. Even if I believed this was a real actual relationship; they would never make it- they are fighting over how to eat pizza and elbows so there is no hope. Karine/Pol- I hate Paul more each week. Probably the only way Karine can deal with him is to tune him out by focusing on social media and not caring about anything. She does act like a 12 year old, but he probably likes it. Her parents always seem so nice and caring. They probably know she'll have a better life in the US so they okayed the relationship. The Lucy show- I really didnt think Jon's sister was rude at all. She probably knows and has dealt with Jon's behavior and girlfriends forever and I do think she's tired of it and was trying to warn rachel . And yes, Rachael needs a makeover; you can go to nice goodwills and get really cute flattering outfits so she has no excuse to wear baggy t-shirts and jeans every single day. 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/72913-season-2-discussion/page/45/#findComment-4626991

But maybe that's why she at least showed up for the dinner. How polite of her to show up 3 hours late! Makes sense that the money was so miniscule it deserved little, if any, courtesy. As far as stringing him along, maybe she's a novice in the ho bidness. A veteran ho would play Ricky ad infinitum. 3 minutes ago, magemaud said: "and if for any reason the new Miss Colombian Cupid cannot fulfill her duties, the First Runner Up will assume the title..." No first time parents know anything about babies. No single men his age know anything about babies unil they have one. Why would he? it does not matter in the least, if he moves in with her, he will learn about babies. Thank you for this. I thought the same thing every time he and they went on and on about how he doesn't know anything about babies--SO WHAT! 18 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/72913-season-2-discussion/page/45/#findComment-4627335

His sister basically said "what about me?". Abby, stay in your lane! To be fair Jon said that to one of Abby’s kids. “Isn’t Rachel the prettiest woman in the world?” His sister added “Besides Mummy!” There is something deeply wrong with Rachel not only allowing but encouraging a complete stranger to tend to her daughter, including bathing and dressing, and pushing the Daddy thing. He’s not her father. I think that he is very sweet with the baby and it seems like the baby is safe with him, but that’s just luck, not good parenting on her part. Thanks for clarifying and correcting me, @ElderPrice. I was paraphrasing because usually, when listening to Brits on TV, I turn up the volume, but didn't in this case. I still don't care for Abby's compliment-fishing, especially with her own child. Bad example for her children. Awkward. And tacky. For a grown woman with two children by two men, Rachel is rather lackadaisacal and clueless. Rachel's and Jon's self-described "fairytale" and timeline have many discrepancies. Other sites reveal some more truths about them and their story. Her reasoning for wanting a baby is beyond stupid,"Put a baby in me now Pole so I will know you will honor your commitment"...yeah, men never knock up some girl then split. If Pole can't afford to move out of Mama's house how can he afford a wife or a kid? Karine is a child herself, face in her phone 24/7, eye rolls, sleeps till noon, does not lift a finger around the house, it's another case of full on love when you have never experienced the day to day stuff. I am impressed that Pole has learned a little of her language, a language that the baby will learn. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/72913-season-2-discussion/page/45/#findComment-4627532
