I haven't seen KCF*H as just the title turns me off as to how sophomoric (juvenile?) it probably is.  The commercials for women's stuff have gone out of control.  I haven't heard of this game show host AA either, but I don't want to see anyone's face closeup!  Or a closeup of personal parts, thank you very much.

KCF*H is not sophomoric or juvenile at all.  Just the opposite, actually quite an original satire on that very trope for such a show.

Is that the "Welcome to my vagina" ad for non hormone birth control?  Dear Lord, advertisers have certainly come a long way to embarrassing women in commercials from the Massengil an Kotex days.  What do men get - jock itch?

Oh, and at the end of that commercial there's a doorbell that rings inside her vag to where she pushes an intercom button to say "I'm coming".  yeah....subtle.

I saw that commercial, couldn't believe it. Like jaw dropping wtf did I just see?

There's a Sonic ad that irritates me more than the regular low-grade Sonic ad irritation.  There are two women talking in the front seat of a car, with "Joizy" accents (sorry, that's probably inappropriate).  I normally enjoy hearing people with accents from various parts of the country and the world, but these two just rub me the wrong way.  And it doesn't help that one of them has these neon-white teeth, not like anything found in nature!

I can't stand any of those sonic ads.  The way someone wrote those and actually thought they were being witty or funny just irritates the f*** out of me.  The people are gross and irritating.  Doesn't help knowing the food sucks too

It's the same way I feel watching Jeff Dunham, the few minutes I can stand of him.  Bad comedy based on cliches repeated over and over......yet lots of people like that s****.

Oh god, the one guy with his "which came first' thing. "Meat has been around for hundreds of years and....I guess cheese has also been around for hundreds of years." Hundreds? Try thousands.

What a dunce.  Everybody knows cheese was invented shortly after the Civil War.  Or was it after Vesuvius erupted in Pompeii?

Since cheese is made from the milk of animals, I'd say meat came first.  What an asshat.  All these Sonic Idiots are even worse than the two so-called comedy guys.  Bring them back!

I guess someone just invented the beefy version of the "chicken or the egg?" question.

Also, why is former running back Reggie Bush in ads for Wendy's breakfast now?  They used Reggie Miller with the tie-in to the NCAA basketball tourney earlier in the year, but it's like he was unavailable so they thought they would just sub in another ex-athlete with the same first name?

I think that's Deon Sanders.

Last night I was watching the latest Hallmark movie and suddenly Annie Murphy welcomed me through a pink tunnel and into her hoo-ha.   She wanted to inform me of some new birth control gizmo.  I was deer-in-headlights frozen and gagging at the same time.  Let me out of here, Annie Murphy, was all I was thinking.

Annie Murphie, the popular Canadian 1970's singer?😲

I just saw an ad on Pluto TV that I had to look up online to make sure I heard what I thought I heard.

Apparently a good opening line to a conversation in a bar (after "Do you come here often?" fails) is for a woman to sashay up to a man and ask him "Did you just shave your balls and B-hole?"

That's Anne Murray.

Annie Murphy is a Canadian actor; she played Alexis on Schitt's Creek.

I thought that was her in the birth control commercial (I saw it for the first time last night, and only saw about half of it), but wasn't sure.

Referring to Kate McKinnon? - I only know her from SNL, and I know some people are tired of her shtick, but is there something that’s prompting the extreme dislike? Other than just the general annoyance with anyone in a commercial? Or just some people rub you the wrong way, fair enough.

I find her very funny on SNL but those Doritos and Verizon commercials make me stabby.  I'm willing to blame the writers for that.  Although I do blame Dan Levy for me hating him in the Doritos commercials.  Because I do NOT find him funny at all.

I'm too curious for my own good. "Natty" is a very non-bougie beer, it's in the styrofoam cooler, and it's squeaking back there, cause that's what a styrofoam cooler does. Do I feel better? No.

https://www.audacy.com/music/country/walker-hayes-clears-up-hilarious-fancy-lyrics-gone-wrong

And here I was, thinking they were referring to Natty Bo.  (Someone oughta sue over that.)

Honestly, I change the channel or leave the room when that commercial comes on, so I didn't know any of the lyrics.  I kinda wish I still didn't.

You guys are cracking me up! 😃

This whole chain of conversation is reminding me of a bit from an episode of "Wings":

Quote

Antonio: Is this Ice Tray the one who was in Boyz n the Hood?

Helen: Oh, no, that's Ice Cube.

Antonio: Then who sang the song about the ninja turtle?

Brian: That was Vanilla Ice.

Antonio: Wait, isn't Ice Cube the basketball player?

Helen: No, no, that's Ice-T.

Brian: No, that's The Iceman.

Antonio: I wonder if Ice-T is related to Mr. T.

Lowell: I wonder if Mr. T is related to Mr. Coffee.

Roy: I wonder if your mother's related to your father.

I love the song Fancy Like and I love that Applebees commercial, even though I haven't been to an Applebees in decades. It's all about that chill vibe. I can be "fancy like" Coors Light (not a fan of Natty Light) all day long.

I posted in the peeve thread because I was so enraged at the ASMR whispering trend I forgot all about this thread. I cannot stand any commercial that has ASMR in it. No whispering, no other noises. Just talk like a fucking person when selling your product.

Ok I was going to post this.  Who the fudge is this dude and WHY is he in every single commercial I see??  Tostitos, Verizon, Citi cash card, UGH!  And I think he was on the Met Gala early this week.  Why??

Ok, just Googled him and apparently he's on Schitt's Creek--never seen it.  He's the salsa and chip guy to me =)

Saw one of the stupidest ads in a while, for the blue or the yellow pill.  The product doesn't even have a name they just say the blue or yellow pill. supposed to be a OTC Viagra or Cialis substitute for $3 a pill.  Bet that works.

Which one you choose is like picking the red pill or the blue pill in "Matrix."

This T-Mobile costume party commercial is just nuts. First, despite the fact that the lady thinks a business dinner is costume party, she seems to be somewhat normal. But when she goes to the restaurant, she’s like gazing out into the middle distance, crazy-eyed. And when she asks if anyone wants to split a turkey leg, she’s got a crazy voice too (further, do restaurants serve just a turkey leg? And if so, how exactly would people “split” one—tear off the meat and divide it up onto two plates?).

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen prior reference to this one here, but I just saw for the first time and had to mention: the digestive health product that likens bad bathroom visits to “(something, I think “pooping”) a pineapple” and “pinching off a porcupine.” I’m not sure I was angered or annoyed but am still thinking “wow…that’s on TV?”

Well, Shaq can't be in EVERY ad.  There's only so many hours in a day.

Shaq has a cookbook coming out in Feb. 2022, so that explains why he couldn't do those ads too.  Just too busy.

We'll get a lot of Papa Johns, Burger King and Frosted Flakes recipes

Aw, I thought she was showing admirable chill and a sense of humor asking that. Turkey legs are a staple food at Renaissance fairs, so she's making a joke to defuse some of the weirdness around her wardrobe choice.

Yeah, I like her at the party.  Which is good, because she bugs me at home.  She's rather dumb to not ask, "Wait, what?  It is?  Where did you hear that?" when her friend seemingly says it's a costume party, but I'm glad for the misunderstanding because that frumpy shirt she has in her hands is too casual for a business dinner, so she comes off better giving everyone a laugh about the costume misunderstanding than she would if she'd shown up looking dowdy (society is not kind to overweight women, and that outfit was going to do her no favors).

Two different types of commercials are driving me up a wall currently..

The dumb and idiotic Rex MD commercials advertising a service for men who need help due to their erection issues. The specific ones I want to mention aren't embeddable so here's the first one and the second one I've been tortured by which are viewable on ispot.tv.

The other one is the Lifetime Movies one which seems to be coming on during every break when I watch the Buzzr channel through IMDB TV. The woman in it is acting as bat shit crazy as the movie they show which doesn't make me want to watch at all. If I had never seen the kind of movies they've been putting out for quite a few years now their new commercial wouldn't make me want to check them out.

I miss when Lifetime had more watchable TV movies,  original scripted programming (not trashy reality shows) and when their movie channel showed some of the TV movies from the 80's/90's. I do watch some of their Xmas movies sometimes which seem to be a bit more progressive compared to the Hallmark ones.

He's Eugene Levy (from SCTV)'s gay son. I cannot say whether he's as funny because I have never watched Schitt's Creek

I hate that commercial. HATE it!

I mean, really, you know it's a business party because you're asking your friend about the frumpy outfit you want to wear and you think you hear her tell you to wear the most outlandish costume you can and don't even bother to question it?

The coffeemate commercial with the idiots not able to describe snow is back. They make them look so stupid with "related to nature" and "this is going to take awhile".

I blame the cookie for repeating the answer they told him is incorrect.

Annie Murphy's Phexxi ad. Welcome to her vagina.

I'm not really sure what to say about this.

I walked through the living room the other day and my husband was laughing his ass off and I looked at the tv so see what he found so hilarious and it was that commercial.

I love and adore Annie Murphy in both Schitt’s Creek and Ken Can F himself—and she seems like a really sweet and down to earth gal in the interviews and such I’ve seen. BUT yeah, shilling for Phexxie while her star is on the rise was definitely a head-scratcher for me. Also why is she riding a scooter to go meet her “gentleman caller” at the end?  Is there some sexual innuendo there that I’m missing?

Progressive having an Addams' Family cartoon (drawn in the same style as Charles Addams had drawn the original panels)  looked like it was going to be fun- until they had to stick Uno Wutt (AKA Flo) in it! ARGGHH!!!! !! Really, that was like putting an Elmo decal on the Mona Lisa!

I agree about Tracee Ellis Ross. She looks through the bags of chips like she is looking for the Holy Grail or something, and then like she's found it. Very true also that she probably is able to pay her mortgage and utilities on time.
