That does not make it an acceptable topic of conversation in here - unless for some mysterious reason, TLC brings the show back and it is discussed on there. Michelle's face is the color of a bright copper penny.

It seemed like a lot of people were over-featured while many others were missing. It seemed like it was the Boobchelle Jessa Show with a little bit of Kendra thrown in.

So do Boobchelle get the same cut of an overall pot of money that every other featured couple/player gets?

Or do they still collect the whole basket and divvy it out as their great wisdom dictates? Or rate a bigger cut because they're older and had the forethought to produce NINETEEN KIDS!?   

I sure hope it's the first option. But I have kind of a hard time seeing Boobchelle sitting still for that......although TLC may simply have given them no choice.

 I think we all know the answer is that JB still controls every dime of TV money.  And, I am sure he pays himself a handsome salary for it, too.   Otherwise, the other kids, the ones who were assaulted by their eldest brother, might not feel so kindly about giving Josh a cut for a show from which he is banned.

Well, I always say the kids are brainwashed. And a lot of people object to that formulation.

But as far as I can see, anybody who wasn't brainwashed and then repeatedly bribed and bullied to stick with the program would band together and raise hell about this kind of thing. 

Also in my opinion, in our time it's literally a crime against humanity to do everything in your power to deprive your offspring of full autonomy. And to my eyes, that's what JBoob and Meeechelle continue to do with virtually every breath they take.

I've never seen one thing -- either a negative thing or an ostensibly positive thing -- they've done to or for or in any way connected to their kids that hasn't been intended to keep them all from being fully autonomous forever. I don't see how anyone who actually looks at their crappy lives can consider this behavior forgivable, honestly.

I think you're mistaken here. JB doesn't give them "their money," and take out a fee. ALL of the money is JB's money and he gives them what he chooses based on the "work" that they do for him, and their obedience.

I don't think Counting On is canceled. TLC still has them front and center on their website and recently filmed that small clip of Jinger and Jeremy with the girls. Maybe they've been reduced to just one summer run a year.

I think you're right.

I don't think they'd get jobs, I think they would continue down their current path of "house flipping" and "real estate agents" and "car dealers" for quite a while. I just don't think it would even occur to them to get jobs -- no matter how dire it got.

I saw something that said Josh was tied somehow to a business that was being investigated by the Feds. It didn't specify what/who, etc. If any other Duggars are connected, it might affect the show.

I do remember that after the Josh molestation scandal when they canceled 19 Kids and came out with "Jill and Jessa: Counting On", the show was centered on Jill and Jessa and their new marriages. and how they were coping/moving on. JBoob and Mechelle were not to be a part of it because of how they did or did not handle the situation with Josh.  IIRC, JBoob was none too happy about losing that control. Josh and Anna were not to be a part of it because of the obvious. After the first season when the dropped the "Jill and Jessa" part, it seems as others have gotten married and everyone is starting to pop out babies like  Pez dispensers, it's morphed back into something with everyone back in on it except for Josh.

What could they come up with next? "I Demand a ReCounting?"

Yeah the Duggar car lot was raided by Department of Homeland Security in November 2019. A lot of us are thinking that Josh's arrest today is connected to that investigation, but we won't know until charges are released tomorrow.

FWIW, when Buzzfeed reached out to the FBI for comment, they specifically said they were not involved, so we can probably scratch them off the list of potential federal agencies involved.

The Dugger's are done!   This just killed the show (which I haven't watched or cared about in years).   I think advertisers, book deals, speaking engagements will all be canceled across the board.  They better all look for real jobs.    I don't feel sorry for any of them (except all the minor children).  These holy-rollers thought God would save them, but they got too greedy.

So…that’s probably how they’re going to play this, publicly. Disavow Josh and carry on as usual. 🤮 The question then becomes what they do about JB and Michelle, who were slithering back onto the show on the regular.

They definitely have JB by the throat now as far as any contract negotiations go. It would be karma if the Duggar Counting siblings hired Derrick as their agent and he got them paid directly and bypassed IronThumb JB.

If TLC doesn't cancel, they're truly the scum of the Earth. Let's say for shits and giggles, the DHS raid was always solely about the CP and not financial crimes. That means since 2019:

The Duggars knew Josh was downloading child porn. They continued to socialize with Josh. 

Boob helped Josh and Anna shuffle assets to avoid future seizure. 

Josh was allowed to remain on Duggar property and have access to minors.

Boob and Michelle continued to make appearances on the show. Anna made an appearance on the show.

They recently did an Easter Special entirely dedicated to faith and God. 

With that kind of extensive hypocrisy and cover-up, how the hell does TLC justify keeping them on air?

I have no idea how this works, but would the DHS have had to say what they were looking for when raiding the offices? I would have thought you wouldn't say what you are looking for, as it would give the suspects the opportunity to hide/remove whatever you didn't find at the time of the raid. And if they didn't say, would Josh have told his family what he had been doing? Wouldn't he be more likely to say "no clue what they were looking for"?

And how would Josh's assets be seized if he is charged with possession of child pornography?

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming Boob grilled Josh left, right and sideways about what potentially could've drawn the Feds to their business. 

With regards to assets, I'm guessing they could be seized to pay for fines, but I'm not an attorney so don't quote me on it.

I was thinking what your thinking. No one said what the raid was for. Josh was probably shitting bricks at the time, but figured since all this time passed he got away with it. I'm thinking the Duggars figured whatever they were looking for, likely financial, they didn't find.

Something else I thought of. The Duggars put out a statement that their home wasn't raided. But I wonder if Josh's house was. Technically not the TTH.
