Saw a commercial over the weekend for Mizzen and Main shirts.  Now the shirts are probably horribly overpriced, but the commercial was a parody of those for erectile dysfunction medications, and was absolutely hysterical.  I especially loved the man wearing one of the company's shirts in the Cialis bathtub.

I wonder if their use of humor is a direct response to those incredibly pretentious ads for Untuckit shirts.

Untuckit was a Jeopardy answer this week. Nobody got it.

Note to future Jeopardy contestants: hang out here for a week or so.

Coincidentally, there was an ad for Untuckit in the next commercial break on Jeopardy after no one (including me!) got the answer.

(Though I do have to wonder if the camera actually follows you around)

We've got video conference rooms with cameras that point towards whoever's talking the loudest; it wouldn't surprise me to find it in a consumer-level product.

I don't care much for the commercial, just the end. George Clooney's Nespresso where he's a knight in full armor who leaves the movie screen in search of a good cup of coffee. When he comes back in the scene and the Queen/Princess asks if he brought enough for the whole kingdom and he does an eyebrow waggle. Cracks me up and I watch that end every time I realize it's on.

I'm a weepy mess as three year ago today, my husband died suddenly. I just saw my favorite commercial during a basketball game and weeped even more but was smiling while weeping. I know it's probably been posted here before and more than once, but I just have to share it again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. At my 68 years, I've met so many women who have lost their spouses, and cannot begin to comprehend their grief.

I so much love what that woman does that I looked her up.  She's actually an exec at the ad agency and does the animal rehab on the side.  What a wonderful person!

This old Chanel No 5 commercial is great. I love it. It has such a great feel to it.

I always think of these commercials when I'm at Shea Stadium (or now, Citi Field although I'm not sure it's the same flight path) and a plane takes off from LaGuardia and flies over the field.

I guess I'm destined to be the one who yaps about the phallic symbols and visual penetration euphemisms and simulated orgasms in TV ads, but the classic perfume ads above deliver on all counts as well as being artistically shot.

I have a cat named Jinglebelle (she showed up on our deck shortly before Christmas 4 years ago). She either was dumped or ran away from home, as she is declawed. It amuses me when the Chewy.com commercial comes on with the Jingle Bells tune her ears perk up - someone calling me?

I saw an ad last that featured a man swimming underwater, up to the surface.  When he gets there, he emerges like Venus from the Sea.  HE is impossibly gorgeous, and they pan up his sculptured chest to his face, and he is perfect.  What the heck is the ad for, anyway?

Just me or did anyone else stumble onto the "Greatest Holiday Commercials" on CW channel?  enjoying more than I expected. Especially the ones from Europe.

French spot where store dude finds out customer will be alone and sets out table for a meal, then they play in the store...

Priest and Iman that send each other knee pads/braces via Amazon.  Really cute if you have a sucky knee!!

#manonthemoon"

The Polish Grandpa

The German snowpeople

And dear dawg, if your eyes are dry after the Philippine Rescue Dog ,  you suck.

Ah hell.  All the foreign commercials rocked.  Wish ours were that funny/moving instead of the endless loop of "round, round" that Target has made me break the FF button this year.

After Christmas, somewhere close to New Year's, they will also air the Greatest Commercials of 2018.

I only vaguely remember Home Alone as something entertaining but not anything I need to see again, so I am not the target audience for that commercial, but it still amused me.  I like that someone thought of it, and that he signed on.

That's Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones. The first time I saw the commercial, I said to myself that Margery has finally become queen.

Finally? She was queen twice over on Game of Thrones, first to Joffrey then to Tommen.

I love this Bounty Paper Towels commercial with the family all yelling "NOOOOO!" in slow motion then it cuts to the dog saying "YEEEESSSS!" - the dog is so damn cute and hilarious.

I should have said THE Queen (and in her own right). Cersei was like the Queen Mother, so another one was still hanging around.

I wish they'd run the full-length version - it's rather amusing.

I hate the movie, but find the commercial surprising charming.

This commercial cracks me up.  I love the food flying around (and the pets enjoying the bounty on the floor).  To me, what makes it even funnier is wondering how many takes it took to get it filmed?

Cracks me up too! lol

For some reason, Geico is airing all their old commercials and despite liking it, I don't remember being "Bob Wehadababyitsaboy" being one of theirs. I would have sworn it was for one of the collect calling commercials. They also tacked on a part at the end I don't remember where Bob calls someone else and adds the baby's weight and says the mother and baby are doing fine. They also showed the "Hump Day" one, and that commercial can go straight to hell.

I remember that ad. There are two versions. In the first one, Bob discusses the baby's weight and the mom. In the second version, it just says, "Don't cheat the phone company." I always wondered if they changed the ending because some phone companies complained.

Here's the original version:

These Metro ads are my current favorite simply because I like penguins.

I just posted this in the Commercials We Despise (or whatever it's called) thread!

Can you hang out here if you're wearing an Untuckit shirt?  ;-)
