Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

I hope not, considering her kids look half-starved.

I wondered because of the watermark (I think that's what it's called) on the picture.

Those poor kids.  Narcissistic parents like her, really piss me off.

So I saw on another J-Rod focused thread that there is a theory that Plexus could have caused the baby’s in-utero stroke?  Supposedly that crap has a lot of caffeine in it and caffeine may be linked to fetal strokes. That’s supposedly why they warn pregnant women to steer clear of coffee and highly caffeinated drinks. At least, my docs did.

It also said in the thread that she drinks it like water.  So instead of feeding the kids properly (sorry not sorry...skinny genetics aside these kids are looking just plain malnourished) and having good prenatal care, she pays an arm and a leg to guzzle gallons of this MLM crap that (I’ve read) can cause kidney damage?  Or a host of other issues?

...and why would a pregnant woman drink something that is supposedly a weight loss supplement?

Those poor kids.

It's certainly crossed my mind. I know bad things can happen to anyone and even people who follow every order from the doctor can have problems, but it's hard not to put together a bunch of caffeine and who knows what being ingested by a pregnant woman and the baby having health challenges. I grew up with a special needs sibling and I know my mother always questioned what may have happened. Mothers tend to feel guilty even when there isn't anything they could have changed but it's hard for me not to question whether plexus played a part in this. I can't imagine any doctor encouraging a pregnant woman to drink that stuff. If Jill wants eleventy kids she has a responsibility to give them the best start, but this is Jill and her poor kids never seem to get proper care.

I have been following Jill R for a long time, and I really hate to defend her, but there has been no evidence of her guzzling it like water. In fact, in one of her videos she posted on Facebook, she admitted there are months where she can't afford to buy the product at all.

Now, that's not to say she hasn't drunk it.  She definitely has and has done so while pregnant which I give major, major side eye to. But, guzzling Plexus like water is a massive exaggeration.  Exaggeration isn't needed with Jill -- her antics are bad enough on their own (usually bad enough that they sound like exaggerations themselves but aren't).

2. I find it typical of Jill that she has nice bedding and furniture and a ton of throw pillows while her kids look like escapees from a labor camp.

Fun fact: that appears to be the comforter set she registered for and received at her baby shower. The baby shower she had for her 13th baby.  And which was basically meant to be a "pamper Mama" party.  The "baby shower" registry, at Macy's (and which is listed as a bridal registry... Because Macy's doesn't have baby registries... Because it's not a baby store...), also featured several types of perfume and a $600 KitchenAid stand mixer.  No exaggeration.

I would like to see a pic of the kids rooms and beds.  Do they all even get beds?

I don't understand this picture. Is Stormy Jill telling us that her baby is her crowning glory, or that she is very fertile or is she telling us that she is better than us because Jesus opened up her womb for baby #13? So many questions!!

Story Jill is just like that car crash that you can't stop looking at. I pray that that baby isn't going to suffer with her as a mother. She seems completely disinterested in #13.

I feel so sorry for that sweet baby. Not only coming into the world with special needs, but getting stuck with Jill and Chimpy as parents, whom we all know will use her to let the world know how great they are, because they have that special little life and how rough it'll be on them.

Oh dear, I went to the blog.

I (Jill) have had 18 pregnancies (13 healthy, full-term pregnancies and 5 miscarriage pregnancies) thus far:

Jill, did you put your name there because you were worried some of us would think it was Chimpy?

Um, is it just me, but 13 HEALTHY, full-term - your current baby has had an in utero stroke - I'm not sure I would classify that as healthy?

She had 3 miscarriages in 2010-2011 - um, do you think maybe you should have given it a rest for a bit?  Perhaps it was your body's way of saying it's tired and needs a chance to recoup???

I've seen a few pregnancy photo shoots, but it is just me or does Jill's fall flat?

What is with that striped clothing - does Lularoe make maternity dresses now? - shudders

OMG.  Those shots with Chimpy in the bedroom where they are staring down BEHIND a chest of drawer at what looks like a cloth laundry basket - is that WHERE they are putting the baby after it's born?  I mean, everybody I've known keeps the baby in like a cradle or basinet next to the bed, or super close to the bed right after the baby is born so that nursing is easier and then later moves them to a nursery or room, but this just looks like , "Oh, we're just going to throw the baby over in the corner there behind some furniture on the FLOOR!

OMG, I just looked at those "professional" photos.  First of all, those are some of the worst maternity pictures that I have ever seen.  My niece just had her maternity photos and they are beautiful.  Jill's are downright creepy and so very fake looking.  The ones with her creepy looking husband gross me out.  I only just heard about this family so I don't know much about them but dear God, they are a CPS reporters dream.  Those kids look so malnourished and sad.  I am now really disturbed by them.

  • Love 7

If you really want to be disturbed, watch any of the videos.  Going back 2 or 3 years, there are videos where all the kids introduce themselves, and a video where all the kids sing the praises of being homeschooled.  Just listen to those poor, robotic kids and the disturb goes far!

I'm convinced the baby doesn't count -- that Chimp Face and Jill don't give a rat's ass if the child is healthy. Only the "mother" in mother/baby counts.

I don’t think that Jill has any intention of appropriately caring for this baby. She will trot her out to inspire love offerings and she and Chimpy will gobble up the proceeds.  I’m starting to be convinced that’s why she doesn’t address her malnourished children. The donations might fall off.

I don't think they have a clue about this baby.  I've had friends now and when I was a child that had a kid or baby with challenges.  They have all said, that no matter the research and the planning they were NOT prepared.  Depending on this baby's needs, Jill's not going to be able to drag her along in the RV with her for quite a while.  They may need Neo-natal care for the baby.  And a lot of special care and needs.  My only hope is that the doctor is going to be watching this baby very carefully, and at the first sign of not being taken care of, calls in reinforcements to examine all the children.

You are correct.  Josie just isn't "right" for an 8 year old with her speech and convo skills.  I'm sure they never got her any help after she was out of the woods, so to speak.  Oh except for taking her in during her seizures.  Grrrrr.  Or having Jana and the production crew take her in since they were someplace else.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the exact same thing. Stormy not naming #13 is quite telling to me. She seemed to have names for her other blessings. I think #13 will become a prop just like Josie Duggar to push whatever agenda she wants to push.

Josie appears to be a little slow.

I work with babies who have had strokes. It's generally not a good scene. Jill has no clue how her life is about to change.

Her stupid post how the OB said that her older kids "will teach the baby everything" are delusional.  The doctor was probably trying to be encouraging and say that they older kids will be a help, not "she won't need therapy because she has 12 older siblings".

I assume Jill breastfeeds?  Just trying to get a baby, who is post stroke, to latch on is going to be a challenge.  That's just day one.

I hope the baby is not severely affected but a stroke in utero is not a good situation.  I also hope that Jill does not live in denial and gets the baby help immediately. Actually, this baby has medical issues so Jill could annoy someone and they could call ACS for refusing services and driving away in a RV.

Ya'll are insulting my fellow Louisiana girl Stormy Daniels by comparing her to Jill. Stormy is smarter.  Stormy has a work ethic.  She's done more physical work in her life than Jill's grifiting behind ever has.  Stormy hasn't had a ton of kids she doesn't care for.  She has one elementary-aged daughter.  She doesn't put her kid on her social media or make the kid sing for supper.  Her daughter is fed and receiving a real education (not Jill's home-fooling). Stormy doesn't overuse capital letters or the words "SEVERE" & "SMILE."  Stormy has the sense to know that if you're going to get involved with a guy who has little going for him personality or looks wise, you at least go after a rich guy, rather than an unemployed, grifting "tract printer."

And...Stormy's make-up is more understated than Jill's.

LOL.

And, in the case of the Duggars, they don't even use that time to perfect, hone, practice, or even learn the skills needed as a future helpmeet.

I've always wondered about that word, and your comment prompted me to finally research it. "Meet" is an archaic adjective meaning "appropriate."  (In olden times, the Lutheran liturgy included the pastor saying, ""It is truly meet, right, and salutary that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks unto Thee, O Lord, Holy Father . . ."  Any old Lutherans in the house?)  In the 1611 KJV Bible (you know--the correct one!), God says of Adam, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."  He refers to the woman as "a help(er) meet [or suitable] for him."  Along the way it became a hyphenated noun, but despite the grammatical confusion, the term "helpmeet" as most people use it retains the original meaning: a suitable helper.

Old JillR isn’t worried about the baby because she won’t be the one raising it. Nurse will. JRod will tell Nurie that raising her will add points on to her “marriageable” list and get her a man quicker. You know this to be so. Lol

sometimes the devil in me wonders if her doctor even told her her baby had a stroke in uterine. Like, if the baby is perfectly healthy and comes out that way. That way Chimpy and Stormy could claim the baby to be a miracle from God that proves that they are the most holy and righteous couple ever.

In the Hebrew, the word used in that passage just means 'help.'  It is the same word used in many other Biblical verses that refer to 'God as our help', so it does not connote an inferior or assistant position for a wife.
