Rinna has a fucking nerve jumping on Garcelle over any conversation she had with Erika.  Not that Garcelle needs to be defended, since she did nothing wrong, but Garcelle only brought up an issue Erika herself discussed.  Erika’s divorce, Tom’s alleged behavior, Tom’s alleged “emotional abuse”…these were all things Erika herself has been talking about on a realty show, Twitter and Instagram.  This is completely opposite from what Denise’s situation was with Rinna.  Rinna was the one jabbing and poking and needling Denise over the (gasp!) affair with Brandi.  That was gossip from a thirsty famewhore.  Yet Rinna went after Denise in the name of “finding the truth”.  

Garcelle continues to rise above the core RHOBH mindless twits.  She is an amazing person. I am loving Sutton more this season than last, even with all of her histrionics early on.  Crystal is growing on me too.  Maybe it’s because these three can recognize Erika’s BS, and aren’t going to blindly kiss her ass while Erika is manufacturing lie upon lie.

I loved Sutton in this episode. I loved it when she commented that Kathy was so bossy in telling her that her necklace was a little too daytime for dinner. Meanwhile Sutton is wearing a gorgeous (can't remember the designer name) cuff bracelet. I also liked when Sutton commented on Dorit's ridiculous get up. I thought she was going to end her remarks with "Bless her heart". 

I also loved Harry texting a picture of his acrylic nails. Harry has, and continues to be, not only my fav husband of the franchises I watch (OC, BH, NY) but my favourite person. 

Loved seeing Kyle's dogs. I could watch an entire episode of just those furbabies.

Erika knew all about the LA Times article when she was at La Quinta.  The article states that the reporters had asked both Tom and Erika for comments and had received no response.

I don't know how much of their reporting is behind a fire wall as I have a subscription but the LA Times has been reporting on all of Tom's transgressions quite a lot and it is serious investigative reporting. 

I can't imagine the housewives and their husbands and their PR advisors 😀 aren't fully aware of everything that Tom and most probably Erika did. 

The interesting part is whether their public stance will change now that the filming has finally caught up with the reality. In other words, up until now they might have felt constrained from commenting on Erika because they are not supposed to comment on plot lines until episodes have been aired. I just can't imagine Mauricio wanting to be associated with them - even PK recognized that it is a huge issue to seem to support scamming widows and orphans and burn victims.

Yep. Garcelle accurately pointed out that Erika was always going to leave before that article hit that morning she was just the excuse she used. Erika started laying the groundwork earlier before her hike with Garcelle when saying she might have to go early do to the hearing in Chicago.

Seriously, what happened to the Rinna we've seen the last several years? She didn't care if you battled addiction. She didn't care if you were sick. She didn't care if you were grieving. The fact that she didn’t get that and was basically shouting “I also have white people who work in my home” as a defense was so cringey. I mean not at as absolute beyond the pale cringe as insisting that her MOTHER has a black best friend!!!!!!!!!! so her kids get it. 

Kathy’s “my childhood friend MJ, liked people not seeing color” was horrendous on so many levels but at least she shut the fuck up for a lot of it and let Garcelle and Crystal speak. Between this show and New York, I’m shocked at how dumb some white people still are about race. I knew saying ‘I don’t see color.’ And ‘I/etc Have black friends.’ were ignorant things to say decades ago. How did so many of these women miss that message?! 
 

Garcelle is a blunt question-asker, but she shouldn’t feel bad about questioning Erika. It’s their jobs. And Erika should know the drill by now.

While Sutton’s statement is not correct, my interpretation is she meant what Tom (and Erika) have done is not “just” someone cooking the books, or embezzling funds from a corporation. Yes, those are crimes, and people do suffer as a result of the crime. But if/when caught and if/when tried, these “white collar” criminals usually receive light sentences or are confined to “country club-esque” prisons.

I think Sutton was commenting more on the depth and seriousness of Tom (and Erika’s) crimes, and the potential actual hard jail time they face. 

Dorit is the person I’d call fucking stupid for not getting Garcelle’s question if all of Dorit’s “help” are POC.  Dorit didn’t even digest the question for a second to see what was being pointed out to her.  If your kids only see black and brown people in positions of servitude, that fosters a mindset that POC are some how less-than.  This is only one element that creates white privilege.  It doesn’t matter how friendly you are to them, or what great bonuses you gift them at Christmas, these people are still hired help who work for you.

Of course, Erika knew. When a story of that nature is being written, you are aware of it because not only will a good reporter at least request an interview, they are also talking to people you know. She probably wasn't entirely sure when the story was coming but she knew it was happening. And the fact that she didn't give the rest of the ladies the head's up says everything.

She won me over by muttering "we did this already" to Crystal during the race discussion. I liked seeing them getting along.
