Will probably never get a concrete answer on how well she is or is not perceived. TBH - if we never hear about her again, would be perfect.  She accepted her ill gotten spot. Nothing will ever make be believe it was earned. AT ALL. 

Honestly, I feel somewhat bad for her. I keep recalling Cassie talking about her retirement, looking completely lost and saying something to the effect of this has been my only dream and it’s ending. She was what? 23? This is VK in 5 years from now. Then i’m picturing her as GL and point (both are inevitable imo) and i lose all my goodwill...

Well this has been an eye opener. I'm pretty much the same height as Briana at 5'2 🤣 I thought she would've been like 4'10-5'0 based on how much shorter she is than everyone else in the photos. Wow I'm short..

We've heard stories about Cassie getting girls cut, how she would make your life miserable if you weren't nice to her, how she would run to mommy, etc, so you know that it's part of the "unofficial" DCC history.  If Cassie had that much influence, I would think VK has that much influence and more.  Not only that, but any DCC watching last year's eps and reading social media would be very aware of how VK was treated.  So, if they get along with her and it's a real friendship, that's great.  But I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's a relationship fueled by fear of losing their spot or angering TPTB.

I get the same way when many of the girls say this has been their dream for their whole life, it seems very minimal in the scope of a dancer's world/life. I mean there is more out there for a dancer. Being DCC should be an intro to the Pro Dance circuit. The Rockettes, Dancing for musical acts like Beyonce, Rih, Drake etc, Dancing in Films/TV, Cirque du Soleil, Classy Burlesque like Moulin Rouge. 

For Cheerleaders though I guess this is the end all be all...

With other girls i don’t mind that much because 1.most of them exaggerate just because that’s what K&C want to hear 2.have had a college education/professional experience as this is truly just another achievement before they move on. I think Cassie kinda wanted this just for her mom and because she had no other career or educational aspirations. VK though does seem a 100% desperate to be a dcc and have been taking classes for years (plus she had the dcc victoria account for years). Apart from Cassie, she must be the only dcc staying still with her parents, no real college experience, no professional experience. She’s not even strong enough of a dancer to make a career out of it or become a teacher. I know we all have different dreams and priorities but for me, being a dcc in this day and age shouldn’t be the whole world of a young woman.

One of Tina and Kelly's friends has been defending her saying she earned her spot... and is well liked by her peers.

Oh I think she answered the question she was given to rehearse way before interviews.  She was reading a line.  We've never seen any indication that VK can think on her feet or at all.  They made sure she did everything to perfection.  I'm sure she was also given the routine for preliminaries.   She's on the team and other than start the weight watch and notching the team members injured by count, there's not much we can do other than drown in her entitlement.

omg will they EVER get rid of thunder struck? (and by they i know its not K&J)  It's been like 10 years, right???  Soooooo boring!!! I watch the clips of the quarter change dances on DCC twitter and I thought they were boring, too. The music seems overall not fun like it used to.  I used to always steal the dance songs for my workout playlist!  I guess it's DCC's fault I am no longer inspired to work out lol.  THANKS JERRY!

It all depends on the need for a show group pic. I believe group pics have become a tradition.

If rookies get paid 100 and 100 per extra year they stay, capping at 500 what do All stars earn? Both at home football games and if they get asked to go do shows eg draft days, because there are people like Emma/Nicole who was on like 3/4 yrs but spent more years as all stars than their actual tenure on team. I think the dcc_victoria was for the retire DCC Victoria (think her surname was Carr? She cheered like 2 yrs or so) that cheered a few years ago.

But mind you before retired Victoria got her handle VK did have her Twitter as dccvictoria or it was Victoria_Dcc but then she changed it sometime before or vet Victoria retired a few years ago. At the time Vk made her DCC handle I didn’t know who she was and didn’t know why she weren’t on roaster and tbh didn’t know that she was Blind Eyed Kelli (as I now call her) best friends daughter.

As for dcc_victoriak I bet she made that account, assuming she did because why else would she be the only “failed” TCC from that year to get her own DCC twitter even tho 1) she didn’t make the team then and no other unsuccessful TCC not make their DCC handled twitter even if they didn’t make the team (but that’s all a guess from my end so I could be wrong

There's really no right or wrong answer and it's up to the judges to react to what you say. Victoria's answer about cutting Miss Charlotte wasn't funny or creative, they just like her so they reacted as if she'd thrown out award winning comedy.

Amen to all of this! Particularly the part about VK getting personal attention this past year. With the majority of returning girls, on the night they are cut, if they are encouraged to try out again, they get that little bit of feedback and then off they go with no further interaction from Kelli & Judy until they see them at the next audition. VK on the other hand, had WAY more opportunity for interaction with Kelli after training camp was over. I'm sure she was getting a lot of off-the-clock insight & advice on what to do & how to present herself. When you have access to your own personal svengali, you're going to have a huge advantage and it really shows in this case.

The lines are crooked, timing is off  - someone who was there said that there were issues with the music or something, and that they did redo it and it was better.  Katy was sitting a little off center so you can see the issues with lines and all.

That’s sad! I don’t think in all the years I’ve watched the show (since season 1) I’ve ever seen a clip where they really messed up a performance, and there aren’t many videos out there with even glaring mistakes.

Like I said, he is a long time friend of a friend and a wonderful entertainer/performer in his own right. He's been at it a long time so knows how to wow a crowd and draw a crowd. He's on the panel because of this....the 'hot hot hot' nonsense is for show...he does actually judge the candidates on showmanship & performance ability. You'll see check marks on the sheets too

The other thing to remember about Neal is that he is also a DCC customer- he brings them into his staged show, so as a judge, he is bringing the perspective of an entertainer that actually works with the team professionally. Just a different take on him.

I’m struck by the fact that she’s essentially been radio SILENT for the last twelve months because social media is such a mean and ugly place, and by virtue of how awful it’s been for her to endure, the entire DCC have been on lockdown, but since she got that uniform, she’s posting away!!!

They still filmed her.  I remember the IG story pics and she had 2 or 3 cameras on her cause I joked about enough cameras for all the other girls.  Hopefully she won't be shown🙄

Don't they feature all the rookies on their makeovers?  The only way she won't be shown is if she were to threaten some sort of "legal" action and we all know that won't happen.  I'm interested to see her before/after.  ETA - How old is Lenon Loftin now? And can someone please PM me the link to Victoria's IG?

I’ve seen him (on the show) in a few serious moments and I think he’s been respectful and a lot less harsh than some of the female judges. (Charlotte- who I find very disrespectful)

If you'll look @ the upload date it was filmed over a year before she ever auditioned for DCC the first time.

I seriously can’t believe they are making a girl sit out each game. That completely sucks. They didn’t rotate girls out when they had 39 on the squad.... if money is the real issue I’m dead. For what Charlotte spends on one Lanvin pantsuit more than covers the 37th girl or an All Star for the season. I have to be either missing something or I’m completely misunderstanding the reasoning behind this.

The nepotism topic. Here’s the thing. The entire organization is built on nepotism. Most of the executive staff are direct family members of Jerry Jones. If we expect the DCC (run by Jerry’s daughter) to institute a no nepotism policy, we are asking the Cowboy’s organization to dismantle their entire executive team. I’m not defending it- I think it leads to bad hiring practices, reduced talent in some cases, and disgruntled teams/ employees. But, I am saying that this is a practice handed down from the top of the organization. They aren’t going to change it unless the Jones’ sell the team.
