After the re-visit to Grey Gardens basement and sneak peak to Dorinda's kitchen, I'm feeling pretty good here in the desert, in my updated 1976 house. 

Surprised at Dorinda's abode. Thought it would be higher on the tasteful scale. Can't fix the can lighting Dorinda?

Not surprised at Grey Gardens, but did pause to stare to the disintegrating  basement ceiling. Was that structural?

My basement and my basement steps are better than Sonja’s.  And my townhouse has a $90k mortgage.   And my kid has literally pissed down the basement stairs (yet mine are stripped, cleaned and recovered).   I love my house.  Watching Sonja in her basement...I can smell the damp rid bucket from my grandma’s basement.

I’m thinking this episode was filmed in the fall of 2018.  LuAnn was arrested in December 2017.  During this time she’s traveled all over the country to perform in her 17 Cabaret Shows as she boasted in the last episode.  How is it possible she is going to see her probation officer for the first time?

The editors must adore Ramona.  That comment about the Halloween decoration looking like Bethenny “crying” is pure gold (and I love Bethenny...but it kind of does look like her).  And I was right there with her and her reactions to that date.  Good for her though.  She’s out there doing her thing.  

I love that NY has the annual “Berkshire’s” trip.  I live about 45 minutes away from Great Barrington and I never want to know when they make their annual pilgrimage, as I fear I just might drive that way for a sighting.

I have never been a fan of Dorinda’s apartment, but I think she really considers Blue Stone Manor home.  Regardless, if she wants top dollar for that apartment, the kitchen needs to be updated.

I don’t care what side of the highway Bethenny’s investment property is on, that house is beautiful.  I love her main spot too, as well as Luanne’s (which is gorgeous).

I can’t remember when her actual plea occurred but it took some time for it to go thru the system.  Plus she had her return to rehab and her probation was transferred from FL to NY, which can be a process.  I’ve represented many that moved to FL and the process of setting up probation is a pain.

I was watching with my daughter and said 'omg that looks like Bethenny! ' a nanosecond before Ramona said the same thing! 

Bethenny's TH and her look for the 'gangster lunch' is very similar to Kyle's latest TH on RHoBH. Goth moments. It's flattering on Kyle, but Bethenny's protruding eyeballs are a problem. She's looking very run down and aging fast. I wish she could drop the nonsense with Jason Hoppy. That alone has got to be taking a toll. 

LuAnn is just not feeling Dorinda. She's got a ways to fall yet, the Countess. There's no humble from the top of a high horse and humble has to happen in a recovery like hers. Dorinda is all kinds of wrong about a lot of things but I bet she was there for Lu, as she said. The Crazy has its claws in Dorinda. She's NEVER going to cop to anything, like her heckling, once she digs her heels in. Lu was downright haughty and rude to her at the dinner. 

Tinsley and Dale can take a hike anytime. I personally wouldn't notice. Sonja is right about Tinsley : thetesthere's nothing sensual or sexy abouts her. She's Brittle Barbie with a mean mouth

Other than Dorinda’s ridiculous inability to apologize for the Jiovanni nonsense I did actually think her approach about not having to be close again because of where they both currently are was sound.

Could they have used more offensive Italian stereotypes? At least liked that Dorinda switched up the interpretation of gangster.

She accepted the plea arrangement while she was in rehab for the second time, but the judge refused to approve it until she was out of rehab. The judicial approval happened in late August.

So I guess Rori, Ramona’s “matchmaker”, makes sure the guys are who they say they are, but I guess it doesn’t matter if they’re total douchebags. That guy was so fucking full of himself. As soon as mentioned the cheek kiss and Paris my eyes rolled so far back in my head I was worried they wouldn’t roll forward again. No wonder he’s never been married. ETA: Apparently nobody has told Laurie the Broad, that bronzer all over isn’t a thing anymore. She looks like she’s trying really hard to channel Lauren Hutton, Revlon bronzer circa 1979. That hair, what color was that? Like a taupe with lavender undertones? l’m pretty sure she has a compact of Corn Silk in her bathroom, along with a lifetime supply of Charlie eau du perfume. I really shouldn't watch this show on my small bedroom TV, because I really did think Random Kiss Girl was Victoria, and that creepy crying statue was Bethenny.

And Ramona's date was Lex Luthor as he talked about his creepy fortress of solitude.

Still think Dale is the worst, and she comes up to NYC often to visit her daughter get some camera time.  I thought she was downright cruel to Tinsley at times, but good for Tins for not going ballistic.

I agree. They both hurt each other. Life is too short to hang on to this crap. I think they're both afraid of apologizing if the other doesn't. They're afraid to go first. But maybe neither really thinks she NEEDS to apologize. I know Lu doesn't. No one has even brought up anything she should apologize FOR. She and Barbara act like it's all on Dorinda. But Dorinda needs to own her part in it as well. They're both being ridiculous.

I believe the reason she stated was that she wasn't inviting any of the men. It was just going to be a girl's thing, originally. But then somehow Scott got invited. I can't remember exactly how that happened. My memory is absolute shit. But I don't think it was an intentional slight, just a mis-understanding. BUT....Lu handled it all wrong. She wasn't receptive to Dorinda being hurt by it, she wasn't even responding to her texts or something - if I recall. Which I don't! I need to go back and watch that season. But I do remember that none of the boys were originally invited. And I do remember thinking Lu was a bit of an ass about it, but then Dorinda went and took it too far with her heckling.

Agree, I thought it was so ridiculous. Just because you're in Little Italy? Newsflash - people go to Little Italy all the time (what's left of it.) As a NYer and an Italian, I was kind of horrified. I was shocked to see actual New Yorkers saying something like that.

I was sort of shocked by Dorinda's realtor, but that is a very specific type of Manhattan woman (as is Barbara) and I found myself strangely comforted by her presence. Reminded me of when I first moved to the city a long ass time ago. I just didn't realize that there were any of them still out there and employed!

Dorinda's apartment, btw, is really awful. I think Barbara was right about the kitchen, especially if Dorinda is hoping to sell it and get a good price. Refacing ain't going to do it.

I think no apology is a win/win as far as Lu is concerned.  Dorinda apologizes and Lu doesn't equals Lu wins.  Dorinda doesn't apologize and Lu gets to act aggrieved and maintain what she thinks is the moral high ground equals Lu wins.

Lu is convinced of the rectitude of her own opinions, transposes the support she's getting from Babs to the world at large, overplays her hand, and pisses everyone off.

I'm not complaining, shit like this is why I watch this show, I'm there for it with a Ramona inspired rose and a bag of non-skinny girl popcorn!

So they are having Halloween at the Berkshires. They usually do Christmas there so I guess filming was a little early this year. 

Lu still has her home in the Hamptons, an apartment in NYC on the river (probably a rental but still we see how expensive rentals are) and ended buying a home anyway in upstate NY. Not too bad for a talentless snob. The women on this franchise have real money, lots and lots of money (except maybe Sonja) which is what I love so much about this show. BH is like that, too, except for those imposters Dorit and PK. 

What the hell was Dorinda yelling at Barbara about drinking the cool aid, with the champagne and grape in the glass? I couldn't follow her at all. She really goes off her rocker when she starts drinking. From 0 to 100 in a matter of minutes and it only takes a couple of drinks for her to switch. I call that a problem with alcohol. I'm sure Dori disagrees.

Going back to Lu's discussion about her parole officer:  if she has to ask permission to go to her home in upstate NY, how's that going to go when she has a cabaret performance outside of the State of NY?  How does that get cleared?  What happens if the parole officer says no?  Lu has signed contracts for those performances.

I agree with this and also think Lu is in for a rude awakening when/if she reaches the step of having to make amends. You know if she is actually going to AA and working the steps. I'm not convinced she's doing anything more than she is required by law as part of her probation.

In defense of the AA thing, I was in a relationship with someone in the program for almost a decade.  The one thing he always said was that AA resented a sentence that included having to attend AA meetings as a part of the sentence.  The whole deal with AA is an admission that one can't solve this alone.  Without that admission and especially being forced into it, the healing cannot begin.  So the whole idea of the program is defeated before the person walks in the door.  I attended a number of open meetings with the guy and I remember seeing more than a couple folks at the end getting a slip of paper signed to verify attendance.

Bethenny f***ing Frankel  giving MEDIATION advice! On how two people can come together and get along!  hahaha What a rip off queen she is. She needs to take her own advice w/her ex husband. 

Dorinda had 100%  been drinking before Barbara arrived.  Dorin immediately started with the hand gestures and her words were slurred a little. I found this scene a little disturbing. I think Dorinda was drunk when B walked in already, the denial talk of changing her apartment (resistance), and everything contributed to her crying and falling apart when she started to talk about Lu. She looked like she had been hit with a ton of bricks accepting that her floors were horrible. I honestly feel Dorinda is depressed and needs immediate help, she probably has been since she lost Richard and she is self medicating. She is alone. Her daughter, John, and her friends are at arms length just enough to not push the issue. 

This fight is one addict fighting with another. I wish for both of them to get the support they need and stay close. Friends need each other.

Absolutely.  She wants to brush it all away and deny everything.  She's ready to make up with Lu, because filming has started.

Was the double dipping about sanitation? I thought it was so every container had about the same amount. I was confused.  No one was eating off the ladle or touching it,  well except the handle. Sorry if this is a stupid question. 😋

If the PO says no, then she can’t go.  When I was on probation I had to get a signed travel letter every time I left the county.  I had to provide exactly where I was going (address), the dates I would be gone, and how I was traveling (car, plane, etc).   I had a couple of “blanket” letters for personal use, because I live in a city that crosses 2 states and did a lot of back and forth across the border for work and holidays (family lives on the other side).  But if I was ever going away for even just an overnight, I had to get those specific signed papers.

I was actually allowed to go on vacation to Mexico, the judge actually had to sign off on that one.

I’m sure it varies from state to state and case to case, but I think what I experienced is pretty standard.
