Lisa Vanderpump: Pink is her Favorite Color

I've always taken for granted that she would come back because in between seasons she'd always talk about how she wasn't sure if she'd come back only go back to filming as usual.

So does this mean that she's blowing off the reunion as well? Wow, is this seriously down to the fight with Dorit and Kyle? I hope she's still in a decent amount of footage and that we'll be able to the fight for ourselves.

Maybe having the other show makes it easier to walk away.

I wonder how Andy feels about all of this? I wonder if losing Lisa and keeping Dorit is a better bargain for the show in the long run? Dorit just seems do easy to replace to me. Lisa though...not do much.

I kind of figured LVP was out when she stopped filming with the others. I know there has been a lot of speculation that she was fired or would be fired but I think she quit. She knew that if she refused to film with the other cast members she wouldn't be able to stay on the show. It sounds like there was enough drama during the little time she did film that we will see her at the beginning of the season and then she'll exit part of the way through like Kim Z. on Atlanta. She and Bravo/Andy still have to play nice with each other because of Vanderpump Rules so I don't think we'll get the full story.

I’m on the fence whether I care that Lisa’s not going to be on the show after this season. At times I liked her friendship with Kyle and she was funny. I liked her house porn and seeing all her animals. But she seemed to be over it, not wanting to film with the other women. Too bad Dorito is staying.

I’ll probably stick with the show unless they bring on someone new I don’t like, like they did on the O.C. I’m also interested to see how Denise Richards does.

Good bye, don't let the door hit you in the ass Lisa!

While I loved the house porn, the birkins, the animals (her dogs not so much) and Ken, she always was one who could dish it out but could never take it. She could never own up to when she played dirty nor say she was sorry when she was in the wrong. She always expected to be treated by and play by a different set of rules than the others. She didn't earn nor deserve this seasons paycheck and should leave.

I don't think the ladies ganged up on her. I think they gave her a pass at first because of her loss then all saw something she was pulling, they called her out on it and she didn't like it, she played her usual game of playing the stuborn, petulant victim and this time was one time too many for the ladies. They didn't bite on the bait and defer and LVP's knickers twisted even more.

I liked watching her for the most part, I'll miss what she brought to the show but she brought all this on herself. She could have exited the show in a better light but her actions make her look spiteful.

Ready for the next new housewife.

I'm still confused about how the feud with Dorit turned into a feud with everyone on the show save for maybe Teddi. (Not sure if Teddi is involved with the feud or not.) I can see Erika and Rinna gunning for her. Lisa is (mostly) to blame for why Rinna has it in for her. Lisa could not let up and teased Rinna whenever she could and made it obvious that she didn't like her. I can see why she had issues with Rinna but I think Lisa could have done a better job playing nice with Rinna once it was clear that she wouldn't be going away any time soon.

Erika always had it in for Lisa from day one. She never liked her and talked poorly about her the first season she was on the show. It seemed like her mind was made up about Lisa because of whatever Yolanda told her.

Kyle and Lisa have had their ups and downs so it isn't hard for me to believe that they'd fall out again. I guess I have a harder time understanding why Kyle seems to prefer Dorit particularly given all of the shenanigans Dorit pulled last season with Kyle (and others).

I wonder how PK feels about the feilud between Lisa and Dorit. Naturally he'd side with Dorit but I wonder if he's at all encouraged Dorit to make it up with Lisa. When Dorit and Lisa had their first kerfuffle, Lisa was pretty clear that one of the reasons that she tolerates some of Dorit's silliness is because of her friendship with PK. I wonder if any of that stuff has factored into where things currently stand. Also, I always got the impression that the producers got turned on to Dorit partially because of Lisa. That would be another reason to want to maybe attempt to save the friendship.

Not sure if Camille has weighed in on this at all. I'm also unclear as to how newcomer Denise feels about Lisa. I haven't heard anything about Teddi but I imagine that she's either neutral or leaning towards Team Lisa given the way Dorit treated her last season.

I've never trusted Radar Online as a source, especially when it comes to Housewives stuff. It's way too easy for a housewife to feed them a fake story and they fall all over themselves to publish it as gospel. I also keep hearing about this feud, but none of the actual players have weighed in on it. The only thing I know that has been confirmed is that Rinna and Erika hate LVP.

There was some talk about a feud between LVP and Dorit over a dog adoption but both Dorit and LVP shut it down as a non-starter. So, I guess I'm just going to wait until the show starts and the women start doing the press rounds to figure out what is actually going on.

Goodbye to Lisa! At least I hope she's gone. Despite for advocacy for some animals and so-called underdogs, I have always gotten the feeling from her that some of it stems from pity, not compassion. (I will say that at least she stands for something, which is better than the vast majority of the housewives.) She strikes me as an insufferable snob who suddenly loses her "British sense of humor" when she is poked at in even the slightest. Good riddance to her but those will be high heels to fill, I think. Do we know yet what caused the rift other than her not filming? (My first comment, by the way, though I've been following these forums since the glorious TWoP days.)

I love Lisa Vanderpump, so I want to feel annoyed and offended at your dismissal of this great slight she has endured, but then I look at your avi and I just can't.  That pic brings me great joy. Plus I'd like to introduce your avi to OhioPirate's.  No pressure, but I think they'd make a real cute couple.

I read this and my first thought is: Dorit must be salivating that she’s one of the “cool kids” now.

Oh, I'm sure she is. She probably thinks she's somehow the HBIC now even though that title probably goes to Erika or Kyle these days. It was so strange to me how all of the women pretty much bent over backwards to be in Dorit's good graces last season. What does she bring to the table that makes them all want to be besties with her?

I'm surprised that Teddi and Denise didn't go to Lisa's event. Maybe they thought it would make more waves to attend than to not attend if Lisa is done with the show. Why piss off the other women for the sake of someone they'll no longer be working with on the show?

I guess certain people wanted to make sure this event wasn't filmed. Nice of the VPR cast to come considering the cameras weren't there.

Her extensive knowledge of stemware.

I did see LVP on The Talk today. She left it open about if she is going to return. She’s waiting to see how everyone reacts to this season before making a final call.

I agree - LVP embodies the fabulosity that the real housewives franchises promised us, but rarely delivered.  I lurve her!  ;-)

I agree that she brings the over-the-top Beverly Hills glamour that’s fun to watch, but imo she likely has npd and plays with the heads and emotions of the other women - can’t blame them for recoiling.

On Vanderpump Rules last night LVP looked worn out, weary and gaunt, but in her talking head interviews she looked surgically refreshed and 20 years younger! Perhaps her consolation gift to herself for quitting RHOBH was a facelift?!

I just read about Lisa.  I guess I am done with this show once her episodes have aired.

I watch this show in spite of the other housewives, not because of them.  I can't stand Dorit or Lisa R.

I don't mind Erika and at least she has the serious wealth that I watch this show for, but I would not tune in for her.

The best thing about whiny Kyle was her friendship with Lisa.

Teddi - well I would not even have remembered her if it was not for her appearance on LVP's Vanderpump Rules the other day.

Lisa will really be missed.  I hope she takes it easy and enjoys more time with Ken and her kids and pets (prob not in that order lol).

I am an LVP apologist so I am not relishing a gang up. As for Teddi, she appeared on Vanderpump Rules, and Lisa hired her brother  for a job at TomTom so I don't think she is part of the "feud". I believe that I also read that LVP still speaks with Denise. I really can't stand Rinna, Dorit or Erika (especially  her  so I am going to hate seeing them on a high  horse.

I don't know that Teddi's VdP Rules appearance indicates anything in particular.  It seemed clear that it was filmed before Housewives started filming.

Reports I've read make it seem like Teddi is in fact part of the feud. Kyle has said she and Teddi got very close this season. And we know Kyle is at odds somehow with LVP (I am still laughing over Ken screaming, "GOODBYE KYLE!" in the trailer). What I am most intrigued by is Erika telling Kyle and Teddi that they seem to be in cahoots with each other.

Based on the fact that VP debuted this month (compared to RHOBH's scheduled premiere date of February) and given that the death of LVP's brother factors into both shows, I'm going to assume that there is some overlap in LVP's filming obligations for both shows. Should be interesting to see if in fact her relationship with Teddi hits a rough patch because Teddi has made an appearance early into the VP season where she's asking LVP if she can give her brother a job. If things go south between them, I wonder if her brother would be affected by it.

But this news wouldn't be surprising, every time Kyle 'goes up' against LVP, it seems she always has a new right hand woman in her corner to replace her friendship with LVP.

I've begun to find Lisa very one note.  I won't miss her if she leaves. I'm tired of her dog angle. Tired of watching Ken puttering about. I'm just tired of her...period, despite her glamorous lifestyle.

I used to find her interesting but not any more, not for the last two seasons.

I agree.  She lost me over the whole VPR mess.  I can't stand that show, and to me, it lowered my impression of her for her participation/production of it.

Lisa doing VDPR definitely hasn’t helped her attitude around RHBH. She’s the boss on Rules and the executive producer so not very many cast members are going to take her on. To go from that level of respect to BH where she’s the queen and the easy way to get attention is to come for her gotta be annoying and exhausting. Combining that with her brother’s death and she’s probably wondering if the BH gig is worth her time. I hope she stays because no one on the show can take her place imo. Maybe Kyle back in the day but not now. Ever since Mauricio shot to high profile fame and fortune with the Agency Kyle’s slowly morphed into a stepford wife afraid to put a foot wrong and damage the brand. Bossy mean girl Kyle is being kept under wraps, she’s a shadow of her former self.

I wrote about this in the media thread because Nene is deeply and hilariously wrong. No Lisa did not "steal" Nene's bar idea. By the time Lisa and Ken moved to California, they'd already owned and operated more than 30 bars. Like she needed to get advice about where to open a bar that was less than a block from her current restaurant.

I say this as a Nene fan, meaning she is funny enough with a big enough personality that I give her a bunch of passes, but Nene's a fucking moron. I also think LVP gets a very kind edit and is far shadier than these shows ever portray her. Even if LVP "stole" this location, she did Nene a favor. Nene was flush for a year or two, but was hit with a nearly million dollar tax lien in 2016 for those same flush years when she was maybe pondering thinking about deeply considering purchasing or leasing the property that would become Pump. Secondly, that property had already been on Million Dollar Listing: LA in 2011 as a "cursed" location and did have a really high monthly lease despite the string of failures.

https://www.curbed.com/2011/3/4/10479394/million-dollar-listing-recapped-episode-5-lets-go-to-weho

Furthermore, the location is cartoonishly close to The Abbey, which is considered one of the best known gay bars in the United States. Lisa and Ken also got sued by a restaurant group that had wanted to turn the location into a gay sports bar. When the owner of the location failed to make the improvements the restaurant group wanted, the deal fell through. The owner approached Lisa and Ken because he also owns the building that SUR is in. I suspect that Lisa and Ken ended up with PUMP because I think they ended up paying for all of the construction costs. LVP was in all likelihood in active negotiations by the time Nene had "a notion."

https://la.eater.com/2013/8/15/6386411/rest-group-sues-lisa-vanderpump-over-p-u-m-p-lounge

So the idea that LVP somehow did Nene dirty by discouraging Nene from from purchasing/leasing a property with multiple failures to start a business in which Nene has no experience and is located next to one of the most prominent businesses in that field is ludicrous. If Nene wants to be jokingly mad, she can "complain" about LVP not cutting her in on the Pump deal, but the reality is that LVP did her a massive favor by not encouraging this stupidity. Nene would be broker than Sheree if LVP hadn't discouraged Nene's Girls, Gays, and Guzzlers Bar/Lounge.

Thank you for the breakdown. That certainly puts it in perspective. As much as LVP irks me, she knows her business. I figured NeNe's would have tanked and fast, because statistics, on the failure rates and NeNe doesn't have experience managing, starting, owning bars.

I've met quite a few people in life who blame where they are now because some deal fell through and they just know, despite a track record that says otherwise, that, THAT one would have made them

Not to mention her fashion - which has not changed one iota. When she was going to dinner with Dorit and PK I thought to myself, "here comes Lisa in another black pencil skirt and button up blouse." Nothing wrong with a classic style or knowing what works for you - but mix it up a LITTLE!

Lisa seems stuck in the era when she probably felt most beautiful/powerful. I’d love to see a complete makeover, but she might not feel like herself if she did that.

Lol. LVP is the poster girl for the 80s. I mean she's toned it down a bit. Rinna got herself a stylist this year and it shows, and she's only been on what, four years to LVPs nine? I'm loving Rinna's hair.

Not too shabby for what some might think is a "vanity project".

While I think LVP is deeply mired in personal vanity, I have never doubted her sincerity where the dog rescue is concerned.  I have a pretty strong bs detector for that sort of thing, and I get nary a ping from LVP on that matter.

I don't think Lisa would put the puppy through that.  She seems to genuinely love animals and she would not do that to Lucy.  And if you're saying that there was never a puppy and they made up the whole story, then the partner at VDP Dogs would have to be in on it, and I don't think he would do that, either.  The story itself reflects badly on VDP Dogs for giving Dorit a dog in the first place.

Lisa Vanderpump is sort of the perfect reality star. She's beautiful, glamorous, intelligent, charming, funny, hardworking, and charitable. There is a lot I admire and respect.

But I don't think she's trustworthy and that every cast member must be jealous of her. While I see that she's got a beautiful life, the rest of the cast is hardly made up of poor ugly hags with nothing. I also don't like the whole women must be jealous/catty when they don't gel with every female. I think there are plenty of good women who don't have a fraction of what the other cast members have who would still be nothing but happy for another woman's success. There have been too many occasions where things Lisa said or did are either flat out mean or at the very least questionable.

I have friends with more than I do and less than I do, I like whoever is kind to me. While I'm not saying there aren't jealous folks, I like to think many people are like me and wouldn't care if someone got a spin-off or became the fan favorite or whatever. If someone joked about my husband's head being up someone's skirt or wanted me to have to constantly deal with my ex husband's mistress, I wouldn't take that well.

I don't think they are jealous of what she actually has. I do think they are jealous of how loyal her fanbase is though. I keep remembering how a few years back Brandi said something along the lines of "Lisa VanderPump could barbecue babies, and people would still love her." And, I think it's that sentiment that the other women are either jealous of or really hate about her to the point that they overdo it when trying to one-up or expose her "manipulations".
