Oh God, now I hate to ask, but what came up for you?

When I look it up on Urban Dictionary, I get:

"¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sorry, we couldn't find: mustard and biscuits."

I have often regretted checking for stuff on Urban Dictionary. Except for their description of my alma mater. It is the most accurate thing I've ever read anywhere. "A school in the middle of nowhere that provides a free college education for the price of your soul and former identity." I have it memorized. LOL

Remove the conjunction and see if that works.

Someone bought this for Abbie. Apparently it's magic and can do everything.

At least it was only 9 bucks.  Of course, it really is just a plain piece of fabric that can be used in multiple ways because it is just a plain piece of fabric, so there's that.  All these nursing cover thingies look so stupid.  This one isn't quite as dopey as Meechelle's Breast Friend, but really?  I know lots of mothers who nurse their children and don't actually need any extra crapola and also manage not to flash their boobs at passersby.

My god sister has one in a plain grey and she loves it. Says it’s good for nursing cover, Car seat cover, floor blanket (if the baby wants to play on a strange floor) and she says it’s the most useful thing.

I can see Abbie using it in a variety of ways like she has.

Abbie is now about 2 weeks from her due date and could have the baby at any time now. There's a registry which says she's due the 13th of January and today (12/30) would be two weeks before the 13th.

Since it's a girl, people are predicting Amelia after Amelia Earheart and JD being a pilot. (You may not know it, but JD is a pilot.) Abbie's middle name is Grace so Amelia Grace. Another guess is Amelia Ruth, since Abbie drew inspiration for her wedding vows from the book of Ruth.

I kinda hope they go with name that's a little less predictable. I was thinking something like Adalie but that may be too close to Addison. On the other hand, Amelia Earhart was a bold, strong, independent,  and progressive woman and hopefully a namesake of hers will grow up to be like her.

I know it has been a popular name to speculate on for them, bur I would be deeply shocked if they name their kid Amelia. I suspect in their eyes, Amelia Earhart was a godless hussy who wore pants. 😞

All the qualities that Amelia Earhart represents are not ones the Duggar family or their IBPL beliefs want any woman to exhibit--beibg progressive, independent, expectation-defying, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if they named her something plane part-related, though.

Like Aileron or Rudder? Wait, no, Rudder is clearly a boy’s name.

But without all the crapola how will everyone know that she's nursing?

Potentially unpopular opinion, but I don’t like it when people name their children after their own interests. I 100% agree the daughter will be named something flight related.

My friend’s husband was pursuing a degree when their daughter was born. They gave her not one but two middle names that went with that degree. Well, he never finished the degree and now has a whole different career. It’s weird.

I feel like when you name your kid after your hobby, you're probably just setting up that kid to hate your hobby. LOL

I think there's a way to go about it without being super weird--maybe a relatively normal flower name if you like to garden or slipping in a historical reference with a not-too-outlandish name. But I would definitely not want to be named after a plane part just because my dad liked planes. Actually, my dad was airborne in the military. I am so glad he did not name me Airborne. Or Parachute. 😂

First, I'm not 100% sure JD and Abbie know who Amelia is, and second, if they do know who she is, they probably don't know much about her other than she flew a plane.

They'd imagine her in the cockpit in a long skirt sitting next to her accountability partner brother.

Ahem, that's probably a boy's name for them.

Um...maybe not. That pit sounds very Freudian, kind of like a hot-dog bun. Quite fitting, in fact. It could be Meeechelle's nickname.

As far as plane-related names, I was thinking of cute, little planes, and came up with Puddle-jumper Duggar. I don't hate it! LOL

Yeah that's what I was wondering--what indication do we have that JD or Abby even know who Amelia Earhart is? In fact, I could see them skulking around on some of these boards, seeing these suggestions, being confused/curious because they literally have no clue, looking up Amelia Earhart, and then being horrified with her.

@Jynnan tonnix I like Puddle Jumper too! 😂

JD takes the pilot thing waaaaaaaaaay too far. Being a pilot is not a personality trait.

That being said if they don't go with something aviation related for the first time in their entire relationship I will be surprised. It took the third time to stop with named after theologians with the Seewalds. Ivy Jane's middle name being after Lady Jane Grey is too much of a stretch. They just like the sound of Ivy Jane.

It's strange how only the Smuggars chose a letter but most of the couples attempted (or are attempting) a theme.
