I 100% agree the daughter will be named something flight related. My friend’s husband was pursuing a degree when their daughter was born. They gave her not one but two middle names that went with that degree. Well, he never finished the degree and now has a whole different career. I feel like when you name your kid after your hobby, you're probably just setting up that kid to hate your hobby. LOL I think there's a way to go about it without being super weird--maybe a relatively normal flower name if you like to garden or slipping in a historical reference with a not-too-outlandish name. But I would definitely not want to be named after a plane part just because my dad liked planes. Actually, my dad was airborne in the military. I am so glad he did not name me Airborne. JD takes the pilot thing waaaaaaaaaay too far. Being a pilot is not a personality trait. That being said if they don't go with something aviation related for the first time in their entire relationship I will be surprised. It took the third time to stop with named after theologians with the Seewalds. Ivy Jane's middle name being after Lady Jane Grey is too much of a stretch. They just like the sound of Ivy Jane.
