I love RHONY so much because of how brisk the pacing is. On any other version of this franchise, they would've spent the whole season leading up to Carole's running the marathon. This show gets it out of the way by the second episode.

I was excited when I saw that Dorinda was going to be on, for the very same reason.  I watched until I saw Jill Zarin show up, which was an immediate "click" for me.

Hmmm... I, too, am oddly fixated on their hair in the episode. Carole looks really pretty with her short, straight bob. I also really like Tinsley’s TH in which she’s wearing a slightly sparkly sleeveless top with a white collar. Her hair is in loose curls and a few tendrils are pulled back, and maybe loosely braided? Really soft and pretty.

Ok.  Well.  I enjoyed WWHL.  It was fun. 

It is related to the episode because Dorinda was the main guest and...Carole, in a jogging suit,  and Jill made an appearance as well as the countess.  Sure, there were people that were.....God, I can't stand he/she....but fun none the less.  At least we didn't have Beth making a grand entrance.  Yeah, that would be below her sharing the stage and Beth doesn't like to do that.   Just sayin....

Sonja just can't help herself when it comes to Tinsley. She has to shit all over that poor woman. Can't she just be grateful to have received a $5k gift card and have her home back to herself? What an ungrateful, jealous, gossip mongering shrew. How does she know Tinsely isn't financing her own hotel suite from her Bravo salary?

I'm sorry, but did Sonja just call herself "independent?" Bitch, please. How is relying on her alimony cheque from JP Morgan to run that crumbling house of horrors being independent? The only job she's held down to my knowledge was cocktail waitress, and even the best hostesses/cocktail waitresses cannot afford a town house on the Upper East Side.

Sonja's weekly Wednesday night party for "her gays" was a bit of a farce. I suspect only a fraction of them knew her personally and she had to flier local joints to fill up the room.

LuAnn is all kinds of delusional. Last year she went around calling herself Mrs. D'Agostino but now suddenly she claims to have never changed her name because she doesn't want to relinquish the title of Countess? Technically she lost that title after her divorce to Alex. Also, having a Pandora station based on her three iTunes singles is laughable considering no one in their right mind would ever want to hear more autotuned nonsense like that. Even Erika Jayne tracks sound like legitimate music next to whatever it is LuAnn has released.  

All in all, these ladies are brining it. Never a dull moment with the NYC Housewives unlike year after year of snooze worthiness on the other RH franchises.

I see that Luann and Sonja are back to being dumb and hateful. They make a fine pair. I hope they enjoy each other's company because they'll soon find they have no one else to talk to.

Sonja had the nerve to talk about Tinsley's finances and accuse Tinsley of sponging off a man. Lady Sonja "I used to be married to J. P. Morgan" Morgan. Ummm, Sonja. You're not the last Confederate widow. You were married to John Adams Morgan, J.P.'s great grandson.

Luann is going to talk shit about Carole's 3 year relationship because it wasn't a marriage, while also giving the most superficial of praise for it. She literally said these things "I have the utmost respect for their relationship" and "he was only a toy boy." I don't think it's occurred to Luann that this is why Carole can't forgive her.

That said, from all accounts - not just Carols’s - Anthony Radziwill was a decent, classy guy. Kind of hurt to see her sad at the memory of how she could’ve been more interested when he talked about running.

I don't know about the direction this show is going in.  I sensed alot of "scripted" nonsense tonight - the dinner with Luann and Tinsley, for one. The way they were going back and forth, some the comments almost seemed rehearsed to me, especially from LuAnn.  I felt the same thing during the Sonja/Dorinda walk.  I felt like Sonja was going a mile a minute because she had to get it all in about Tinsley.  

I know we're only two episodes in, but something seems off to me this season. I am afraid this show may be going the way of Atlanta.  I hope not.  I have read that NY now has the same show runner as ATL. Again, I hope not.

(And can we not have any more  of Bethenny's talking heads where she thinks she's so witty?  She's not.)

All of that is true.

What else is true is that Carol has represented her relationship with Adam as not committed fully to one another.  They pass the time, pretend to write a cookbook and have sex once in awhile. 

Carol regularly spoke about the eventual expiration date of her relationship with Adam.  She played the role of hip, casual friend with benefits and would be cool with Adam seeing other people. 

She treated the relationship casually.  If I were a housewife, I'd be treating her break up the same way.  Casually.

LuAnn is so delusional. She SHOULD move back in with Sonja. Those two are a real pair. Sonja is going on and on with these stories about Scott paying for everything, while she's been living off of Old Man Morgan's money for decades. And she can't fathom WHY Tinsley would want to leave a "beautiful townhome" to pay to live in a hotel? Well, first of all, get rid of whoever it was that told you your townhome (in it's current condition) is "beautiful". They're lying to you. Second, you may want to consider just how bad it must have been for Tinsley to choose PAYING for a place rather than just crashing. 

 

I was super proud of Carole for running the marathon. That's an accomplishment, no matter who you are. But for someone who had never even worked out? Big deal. Really big deal. I actually teared up when she crossed the finish line. It was so cool seeing everyone who came to support her. I don't always "get" what's going on with Adam, but as long as they do, it's not really an issue. And I do think it's great how much he has her back. Seeing Heather there was fun too. Lots of positivity, loved it!

I applaud anyone that can run a marathon, so great job Carol.  I do sense that she is even more checked out than usual this year though.  Perhaps the break-up was not so easy.   I would love to see her get in a relationship with someone closer to her own age and see how she would function.   Maybe it was my imagination but she seemed genuinely interested in Ramona’s party planner friend.

Sonja can be such a straight up bitch.  Tinsley is not Sonja 2.0.   Even I know that Tinsley comes from and married into major money.  

I’m very curious to see the Bethenny and Carole rift play out.   In so many ways their personalities are completely different....so I’m not surprised that there is s rift.   I keep thinking about Carole’s cats tearing her furniture apart vs. Bethenny’s concern over too much clutter in her office.  

Luanne is making me so sad right now.   Yes she’s a snob, but she always wore it well.   Now she just seems a bit adrift.  

Ramona is the one consistent in all of the Real Housewives shows....she came on the show nuts and she’s still frickin nuts. 

Dorinda is our little shit stirrer, but I would’ve made sure Tinsley knew what Sonja was saying.

That's how I took it as well. She didn't mean they were NEVER bf/gf. She was responding to LuAnn's accusations that she had an "affair" with Adam. She meant they weren't bf/gf AT THE TIME. 

Lu keeps changing her story. First it was just an issue because Carole KNEW Nicole and was breaking some sort of "girl code". Now Carole actually broke up an existing relationship? Give me a break. Why is this even still a topic of conversation? I'm sure Nicole was over it years ago.

I feel like Lu is now the Sheree of RHONY. Both of them were pretty much impeccable in their style when they had money in the beginning.  They had an effortless cool about them where they could dress up or put on jeans and a T-shirt and still  look like a well kept woman.  Now both of them look like the money has run out, they rely on RH franchise to support their lifestyles and now look cheap.  The hair, the makeup, the clothes.  They suddenly look like they're struggling and depressed over not having money.

Meanwhile, I used to love Dorinda's hair.  It looks terrible this year.  

I love Carole's hair.  Even though I think her face looks a little too filled up with injectables, overall I think she looks so much better than when she fist started on RHONY.

UGH, the trotting out of the "gays" again as if they're some cute accessory.  Sonja gets "more vulgar" than them, she said.  Great stereotyping, Sonja.

I've never thought Carole was a non-relationship type of woman.  I think losing her husband to cancer scared her on relationships.   Having lost my husband to cancer in 2016, I'm now in a relationship and it is both wonderful and scares the hell out of me because I'm now caring about someone again.   I went a year without having a companion and seemed perfectly okay with it.  Relationship comes out of the blue and now I remember how wonderful it is to have someone again.  And that's scary.

I personally wish she and Russ would get back together.  He seemed like a cutie and so sweet!  She can do better than Adam.  Some hot silver haired, age-appropriate successful guy in New York that would be proud to have her on his arm.

I used to love Sonja.  She could make me laugh with her self-deprecating humor.  But wow, she really seems mentally ill.  

I always think she trained herself when talking about the JPM marriage and it's demise to cry by thinking "money" instead of "marriage."  Meaning, she's tearfully sobbing, "I miss my marriage," when in her head she's really thinking, "I miss my money."

Piggybacking on what others have said.  You can get into the NYC Marathon without knowing people.  Carole did it via the charity route, I believe.  My husband ran it through his organization having x amount of spots so he took one.  His time was horrible though because he kept stopping for pretzels and hot dogs. LOL.

Sonja - Acts happy for Tinsley and 'acknowledges' the importance of her going out on her own yet then pisses all over her for apparently not having any money, always wanting a man because she can't take care of herself and accusing her of using her boyfriend's money to buy her a 'thank you' gift. And Sonja, you were complaining about putting on weight, why the hell are you making comments to others about someone's weight/looks behind their back? Even to their face? And I'm not finishing my comments on Sonja without bringing up the fact that she likened herself to a gay man on the inside because of her vulgarity and ridiculousness. Are you fucking dumb? And let's be clear, her 'gay party' was an excuse to hear compliments and then complain about other women and have her guests validate Sonja's delusions. Saying that the men are not judgemental like women...didn't one of them literally summarize Dorinda as being jealous because of your 30 second account of something she did? Yeah, that didn't sound judgemental at all.

Carole - Complains that Luann wants people to bend the knee because she needs emotional support from others but Carol is also wanting the women to actively come out and celebrate her and her accomplishments. The same way you can discredit the end of Luann's relationship because it was 7 seconds long, Luann could discredit yours because you spent all 3 years talking about how it's just a temporary thing. Luann and Carole are experiencing significant moments in their lives and regardless of what Carole feels about Luann, you can't justify complaining about someone needing attention when something bad happens in their life, but then admit you want attention for something good you're doing in yours.

Luann - Dismisses Carole's relationship with Adam as being 3 years with a boy toy but then says, don't get me wrong, I respect their relationship. Let's be clear Luann, you're past making their relationship your business and talking to others about it, but there's nothing else you've done to suggest you actually respected the relationship.

Tinsley - Diminishing someone's dating advice because of a poor decision in a recent relationships doesn't erase their entire existence and experience in dating. Before that she had a 3+ year relationship and before that, she had a marriage that lasted about 7 years longer than yours did. If Carole is credible because of 3 years with Adam, you should have no issue with any of the women on the cast giving you advice. I think they all hit that 3 year bench mark with at least one relationship.

Random Thoughts: Dorinda cracks me up just watching her at the restaurant. In her large sweater and glasses. she looked like a crazy lady throwing the salt/pepper over her shoulder. But Tinsley, 10k a month in rent? But why? You could literally invest that money into mortgage payments for a home/condo and at least have something to your name. I really like Carole's new do but I prefer it straight or her look in the TH with the red top. Kuduos to her on running the marathon though. That isn't an easy thing to do and I think it's great that she made a goal for herself that was so far outside her comfort zone but she followed through.

Sonja is making a huge thing of the $10k a month hotel thing. Truth is she comes from wealth, married wealth, I suspect she has the cash. Bethanny's outrage over Ramona daring to have an opinion about her Hamptons real estate venture is one of the reasons I can never ride for Bethanny. She is one of the biggest hypocrites out here. She does this shit to people all the time. 

- No RHOBH Erika fan, but upon first meeting Erika, after watching one of her music videos, Bethanny essentially calls it cheap & low quality and tells her what she needs to be doing to up her brand. Bitch you ain't Spike Jonze nor P Diddy? Who died and made you an expert in the music industry

- Tried to tell Heather, a woman how has been in the women's apparel industry for decades, how to market and sell women's apparel. 

- Tried to tell a real estate expert Frederik how to price condos. 

The list can go on and on. She is just so ridiculous and frankly, this is one of the times, I am here for Ramona's tomfoolery. 

Speaking of tomfoolery, I don't fault the girls for wanting to see Luann's pain. Hell, after having that farce thrown in their face for 2 years, I don't blame them for wanting their pound of flesh but at the same time, I don't want to hear the name Tom out of Luann's mouth ever again. 

I thought Luann's hair looked great off her face, but yeah, the braids were a no. 

The fact that Ramona hasn't made a play for her party planner is probably because he is married, gay or both. Face it, shy around men Ramona ain't.

Exactly.  For someone who claims to give "zero fucks,"  she cannot take the slightest criticism.  I mean, even in real life, she blocks anyone on Twitter who criticizes her.  Meanwhile, Carole doesn't.  Beth is so thin skinned.  Her success really went straight to her head and it's a shame because she really was the underdog you rooted for in the beginning.

I've never thought Carole was a non-relationship type of woman.  I think losing her husband to cancer scared her on relationships.   Having lost my husband to cancer in 2016, I'm now in a relationship and it is both wonderful and scares the hell out of me because I'm now caring about someone again.   I went a year without having a companion and seemed perfectly okay with it.  Relationship comes out of the blue and now I remember how wonderful it is to have someone again.  And that's scary.

I personally wish she and Russ would get back together.  He seemed like a cutie and so sweet!  She can do better than Adam.  Some hot silver haired, age-appropriate successful guy in New York that would be proud to have her on his arm.

Good to hear you're happy. I understand it can be scary.  A friend went 10 years after husband died without even trying to meet someone.  She was happy with her life as it was. Then she met a wonderful man . It scared the hell out of her. She said she didn't realize how much she  missed having a partner until she had one again.  

Russ did  seem a good match Carole.

Andy made a point to have everyone do a shotski, and then brings out Lu to sing.

Lu tends to lean forward when she “sings”. It then looks like she’s sticking out her butt. (see, also, the last time she sang on WWHL, with Victoria singing back-up) So we have a Mrs. Huh-Wiggins thing going on with her, too, not just Ramona.

Aw, thank you!  And congrats to your friend!  I don't want to get married again.  I do enjoy dating my high school crush now.  But it's very easy to go to a dark place and worry about your state of mind if it eventually dies out. I'm 50, and I've had quite a few good offers for dating anyway (not through an app either!), so there's a part of me that knows that if it doesn't work out, I'd have other opportunities anyway.  It's still weird though!  I think that's where Carole is.  It's easier if you think of every potential love interest as a temporary thing and not get emotionally invested.
