June Diane Raphael was on WWHL last night. When Andy asked her about Vicki, she made the comment that RHOC should be called, Vicki Gunvalson presents RHOC. Sheana Shay was also on, so I was dumbed down and thought that was funny.

I like her.  I didn't see this ep but I saw her before where she said Vicki blocked her on twitter for using Vick's pic as her profile.  There may have been mention of stalking or something.  It was hilarious!

I LOVE June Diane Raphael.  I think she's hysterical both in person and as an actress.  I also love her up and down relationshwip with Vicki Gunvalson.

I think the issue is more so that Vicki goes too far and narrows her attractiveness to the viewers.  On the one hand, I agree, if it’s working, she’s an OG, why mess with the cast?  I think it’s an accumulation of circumstances and Vicki’s attitude that sunk her in the end. Shannon, and Tamra to a degree, are much more fun on the show without Vicki.  I do agree this focus on younger housewives doesn’t always work.  Overall, it’s chemistry, are they still interesting...bottom line, she seemed checked out.  I get tired watching her and I didn’t necessarily dislike her! The tirade at the reunion sealed her fate.
 

I do think RHBH made a mistake with pushing out LVP, because she was more of a background type character than Vicki, and has a lot more (fans)viewers.  Plus, she was eccentric and of course, had the house porn.  Also, on RHNY, Ramona and Luanne, while not always likable, along with Sonja, then Dorinda, have a chemistry that makes the show... They never disappoint with the drama and still make you laugh.  Most of the time, we are laughing AT them.

I thought LVP ran away with her tail between her legs and expected Bravo to run after her, begging her to come back, which didn't quite work out for LVP...not quite the same as Vicki's situation. Also, LVP wasn't exactly a background type character, she was more or less the breakout star and face of her HWs show.

I didn’t dislike Vicki all that much but her psycho behavior at the reunion was the nail in the coffin. And I think she decided to check out of the show before she was fired. I think she really pissed off Andy at the reunion and referring to the show as ‘HER show’. 
I felt this show went downhill awhile ago, even with Vicki still there. I’m ok with Shannon most of the time but the rest of the ho’s are not entertaining and annoying AF. Hopefully next season will be better.

Yes, I agree, she was the break out star.  I don’t think her co-stars liked that at all. What I meant by background character, was in comparison to Vicki’s presence.  The last few seasons LVP was not as out there.  Vicki pushed herself out there, while with LVP, I think RHBH did a better job of keeping the crew as an ensemble cast.  Like her or not, I for one think the show will suffer without her presence, unlike VG.

I like the relationship Vicki and Andy seem to have.  I feel Andy always had a soft spot for Vicki.

I like the Tres Amigas when they were having fun and getting along.  Next to some in NYC, they were the most fun to watch when they were partying - to my taste, anyway.

Without Vicki's kids and not much of a relationship, her story line did dry up pretty quickly, though, and I didn't see it working with Braunwyn.

I'm glad both Vicki and Tamra(t) are gone! The only thing Vicki had to offer this year was judgmental BS and she showed her true colors. When the attention's not on her, she lashes out and becomes Mother Teresa in regards to the other women displaying their sexuality and freedom.

This is the Vicki thread so the less said about Tamra the better. As I once said to my daughter Taffy before strangling her: "Good riddance to bad rubbish!"

When it wasn't Vicki doing it: screaming for more "man juice" in a short skirt without underwear in front of her husband and friends,, "whooping it up" and getting drunk with her son's friends when she showed up unannouced in Colorado, or demanding her love tank get filled up on TV, she became the Pat Robertson of the OC judging everyone else because she wasn't the center of attention and pretended she was an upright "Christian" (Jesus on the cross) with morals. Her back must be sore from carting that cross around all season.

She pretends that she's more important and relevant than she really is and doesn't understand that she's a nobody and will quickly be forgotten. I imagine she was jockeying for a wedding special and either her crooked cop fiance or Bravo said no thanks so she bailed when she knew she wasn't getting a full time contract.

I'm sure Forbes is calling her nonstop for this year's Woman CEO of the Year cover. Things are really hard out their for CEOS of major corporations you know. 🙄

Oh this makes complete sense. Alexis is the worst. Her appearance on the recent episodes of Below Deck confirm that she’s only gotten worse with age, too. So obnoxious.

So you think Bravo is showing “ageism” by firing Vicki, but also think Andy should leave his job because he’s getting too old?  
 
I’m pretty sure Vicki’s firing had nothing to do with ageism and everything to do with her being a narcissistic, verbally (and physically!) abusive, demanding asshole. There are plenty of Housewives across the franchise who are in their 50s (and even 60s) who are still gainfully employee by Bravo.

Gosh Bunny, I wish you would have tagged me because I didn’t see this until today. I was gobsmacked at first, but it actually makes sense that Alexis would do that to keep up with the Jones in appearance, but not in pocketbook. Thank you for posting the reveal.
