She looks so much better not squinting and not doing the crazy open mouth surprised smile.

Yeah it really does make a difference! She's actually quite attractive when she moves out of the sunlight and doesn't try so painfully hard with the weird facial expressions that are supposed to be I don't even know what.

as far as the wrinkled clothes...I can't wear wrinkled clothes...I feel down , and unkempt...it only takes a tiny steamer just to smooth things out...I think she lives a very rigid schedule and if a clothing box comes on a Thursday and ironing is friday...she just does not iron the clothing...and may explain why the pile of dirt/food on the floor...I know a family of 12-ex gotherdites who lived a scheduled

life this way....and yes ALL of their kids are jacked up...JACKED up...my daughter spent the night once and the schedule called for calisthenics at 6 am...lol...(she was like 8 at the time)..she never stayed again...

And her hair isn’t covering the whole outfit. She does actually look quite nice. Why are we all so shocked?

More confused than shocked. She can look nice but then in a few days she’ll post one where here raggedy unwashed hair is all over, squinting into the sun, wearing something that’s 3x too big. I just don’t understand how she hasn’t figured it out. It’s very basic, yet she doesn’t seem to get it. Probably because her fans and DDD just give her praise no matter what because Jesus. And if you liken Jesus, everything you ever do is automatically great and anyone critiquing you is just a hater.

I think she’s also got body issues. The girl is not heavy or plump or even curvy by any means (Joy is the most voluptuous girl by far), but she’s dresses like women I know who were picked on for having breasts or a buttocks. They think baggy clothes make them invisible.

I agree.  Jill grew up hearing that it is her responsibility to dress modestly because men cannot help themselves.  She was raised thinking that her body can cause her brother* to sin.  This type of thinking is going to mess a person up.  Jill probably does not feel comfortable in fitted clothes and gravitates to baggier ones.  I wish Citrus and Lemon would take a look at her pictures, see that she is not a large or xl, and start sending Jill some mediums at least.

*both figuratively and sadly literally.

Yes the poor woman. I am not a fan of tight clothes myself (for my own comfort and aesthetic), but there’s a difference between enjoying the boho flowly style (which I think she does) and buying clothes 3 sizes too big because you’ve been brainwashed to think such things about your body.

I think Jill really wants to be stylish and find her “look” but she’s behind the curve chronologically (a lot of girls do stuff like this in their mid teens), plus the body issue.

Given that theory, shouldn't she always be wearing "Nike" brand?

As for the outfit...at least the shirt is the right size? But I’m sure it’s 3x more than the same thing at Target or Walmart.

Scarf? What scarf? We can hardly see it! Isn't she supposed to be advertising it? maybe a photo from the back would’ve been more useful. The outfit doesn’t look to bad though.

Can’t see scarf.

Shirt too tight...she needs to shop in Women's, not Juniors. Or not tuck.

Pants are wrinkled, but best yet.

Shoes with that outfit are a WTF, but hey, overall, B+?

Those are a style of shoes I more or less live in during the summer. Of course, I make no secret of the fact that what someone might be wearing, or not wearing, on their feet typically doesn't even register on my radar, but what's actually wrong with those? Because I'd wear that outfit, and I'd hate to think people would be looking at me and WTF-ing my choices...

Sam scowling out the window makes it an A+. I wonder if she even noticed him back there when she posted.

The colored pants (I cannot see the type of material) are a win (wrinkled though), I don’t think the top is too tight, I think she needs a better bra though, both hues in the top/pants are flattering for her skin tone. I think the black sandals are a bit “heavy” for that outfit, I would’ve done a beige or brown but they aren’t awful.

Her hair would been cuter in a long Dutch braid over her shoulder with the scarf as a head band or hair tie at the end.

I give the look a B.

You’re on trend! That sandal style is BACK, it was all the rage in the late 90s/early 2000s (Steve Madden did it well and I had about 3 pairs in my early teens). Jill’s style of sandal is fine, it gives her height but comfort, but given the other colors in the outfit I think a lighter shoe would’ve been better.

  • Love 7

The scarf has no relationship to the color of the outfit, but it's on the back of her head so if she can't see it, neither can anybody else. (?) The shirt is a good color and does not appear to have a modesty shirt under it. The pants are fine but she needs to start a gofundme for an iron or a hand steamer. These are tools of the trade for those who earn a living by modeling clothes.

She's not squinting, and Sam in the window is priceless!

Overall: a B (not figuring in Sam). She's improving.

But would Jill's picture cause you, or anyone for that matter, to say "I absolutely must have that outfit now despite the inflated price tag"? Nope, not me.

Btw, gotta love the greasy stringy hair in the scarf pic. Nice touch.

The color was all I was WTFing over, because summer.

But there are people who have the elan to pull that off and with your screen name, Jynnan, I’m guessing you’re one of them.

Ah. OK, I don't actually own a pair of black sandals. Mine, in a variety of strappy styles with wedge heels are coral, navy blue, gold, beige, and white.

And thanks for the comment on my screen name LOL...I don't know how much elan I really have, and the name is stolen from a passage in one of Douglas Adams' "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" books, but it's always nice to have someone enjoy it 😁

I think in Jill’s case the issue might be that she’s not fat but she does have the flabby belly of someone who has had two kids in close succession. I don’t think any of these girls except maybe Jinger do any significant exercise unless they’re trying to get in shape for their wedding, and so Jill’s never gotten back the muscle tone of her prepregnancy body. I’m not shaming her, I think she looks totally fine, but I can see how she might feel self conscious in tight tops. I think this might also be why Jessa hasn’t embraced the pants thing. Swing dresses and loose skirts are way more forgiving than pants.

I have a friend/co-worker exactly like that.  She's always been skinny.  After having two kids, she is skinny again except for her stomach as she has a little pouch.  She doesn't exercise and wears clothing 1 size larger than she should because of her orthodox religion (she's not fundie - she loves pants).

So I went down the rabbit hole at Poultry & Chicken. The above little shirt is $63.99. Seriously WTF?

And I couldn't find Jill's red jeans from the more recent picture. As Jill didn't draw an arrow to them I'm inclined to believe they're her own and not Poultry's.

I actually like this top - but not for $63.99.  That's more than double what I think it's worth.

I went over there too. That stuff is so overpriced, I'm amazed it has the buyers it does. Still, some of the modest swimsuits aren't awful. Neither Jim Bob nor Jill R or Steve who spies on the neighbor's pool would approve of any of them, but that's a plus, isn't it?

I couldn't find the pants either. Does this mean Jill found them on her own or are they from a store that she no longer shills?

Does she gets these clothes for free?

My guess was that she gets them at a discount, but she seems to have an all new wardrobe. If she pays for them, how much does she spends? Is she really making that much money?

I would love to have money without working.

I think Jill is being paid in clothes plus a percentage from anyone who uses her discount code.  Those clothes are obviously overpriced, so the company is probably not losing that much money giving "influencers" free clothing for Instagram pictures.   It's the new form of marketing and is probably cheaper than more traditional routes.

The company gives each "influencer" their own unique discount code so they can track how much money they are bringing in.  Jill has been doing this for a few months so she must be bringing in the cash.  The company would not continue to send Jill clothes if she was not performing .

I'm sure Jill has some idea about Elvis.  He did release some religious music.  Even then, the Duggars are more aware of the outside world than what they want the leghumpers to believe.   Grandma Mary is the right age for someone to always have a special place for Elvis in their heart.  Maybe she played some Elvis when she was watching the kids.

IIRC, there was no dancing of any kind in the Duggar household, right? What Elvis did with his hips would be considered pornographic by the Boob lol

It was downright pornographic for the time period. Just like Prince was during my blossoming womanhood. It really is a shame that none of the Duggar girls never got to experience anything like that as young women.   I'm sure Michelle has her teen idol from the late 70s early 80s, but she denied this to her children.   Also, Boob probably has his Farrah Fawcett or Bo Derek poster from back in the day as well.

I wonder if she’s got a one-year contract or something. It can’t be costing Crap & Moreso much to send her free stuff, given these heinous markups. I would be shocked if she’s making more than a couple hundred bucks a month (if that) outside of the freebies.

Her leghumpers aren’t exactly rolling in money if they’re all STAH moms with a gazillion kids. And all of them can’t be stupid; every time any of them walks through a Walmart or a Target they’ll see lower prices and better quality than this stuff.

OK.  Jill posted a picture of cute toddler toes and their attached feet.  It might work out well for people on her SM to chime in with "Awww" and "I remember how cute my kids feet were when they were small", but it doesn't have a lot of traction here as a topic of discussion.

Jessa's latest was born with both feet, right?  Because I could see some pretty rude comments otherwise.
