Totally. I listened to the audio and would have felt sorry for him if he weren't such a patriarchal narcissistic asshole. If he had had a smaller ego, he would have realized that this was not something to try to talk his way out of.

Ashley's Reality Show Roundup quoted a passage of his interview that made me curious:

“I’ve watched my friends, you know, answer things and they get them for conspiracy or for something,” he adds. “And I’m just, I’m not, federal statutes are broad and there’s a lot of things to it and I’m not gonna say anything that’s gonna incriminate me or anything at all. I’m not denying guilt and I’m not, I’m not saying that I’m, you know, I mean, as far as anything goes, I don’t wanna be, I don’t wanna say the wrong thing." [emphasis added]

So who was he talking about who was brought up on federal charges for conspiracy? Good thing the Duggars are such a godly family, huh?

Where Josh said he's seen his friends say too much, the rest of us would say TV, Dateline or Law and Order.

Where Josh said not denying guilt or innocence, the rest of us would say innocent.

Where Josh insinuates normalcy/innocence by having a pregnant wife, the rest of us would say, no fucking way, that crime is horrific.

Where Josh blames his friends, stupidity and a router, we wouldn't blame anyone because it would never happen.

I can visualize the agents going back to their office after this, and excitedly telling their coworkers, "You've got to listen to this!"  I'm sure they had great fun playing it over and over, while it built their case for them.

You have to wonder what would have happened at trial if Josh would have lawyered up immediately and not said a word.  I have to think at least 3 people on the jury heard the interview and decided he was guilty and didn't really care about the rest of the testimony.
