I realize that A LOT of viewers lust after Nyle(lol!).

Objectively, I can see that he is handsome with a 'good' body BUT Justin, damn...! He. Is. DELICIOUS!

And, I think that he and Mame` look ever so sexy together. I think that, professionally, they should model as a couple.

So we have to wait until next week for Tyra to cut Justin? (Not a spoiler, but I want Devin to go home. I usually don't get what I want!)

 

Thank goodness Bayjo didn't get back into the competition.  He turned the bitch up way too far.  He acted like Hadassah owed him for his "friendship".  Gurl please. 

 

Dustin took an awesome picture!  He earned his way back in.

 

I think Yu sabotaged Justin by making him pick up the dog.  Justin got tired and flustered, so crappy photos.  Other than that, Yu is miles ahead of Tyra's boyfriend.

Beautiful exotic Las Vegas. A getaway valued at tens of dollars. Seriously, you can get a decent ticket with like a week's notice for like $100 from L.A. and if you were planning ahead for this show, it probably cost $60/person.

I'm hoping that it's Devin going home, who for as long as he's been working as a model, is just not that good. However, Justin got the dreaded back story of doom.

Was Yu Tsai wearing some kind of bandage or spanks underneath his shirt?

 

Of course Uggo and Fuggo were paired together. This show wouldn't have it any other way. Speaking of which, can someone please screen cap Devin while he was sitting in the cab? The angle combined with the face he was making made him look positively revolting--even more hideous than usual.

 

I found it mildly amusing some of the least conventionally attractive contestants (to put it kindly) were given the Chinese crested as their posing canine companion.

Sky and Nyle (Skyle?) were my favorite pairing! That's the best pic of seen of Nyle. Liked Hadassah's as well. Dustin's published pics have really been bringing heav traffic to my Blog all week, so I assumed he might be the returnee. I liked his photo as well. Bello's OTT behavior seemed worse than usual. I think he figured if his "modeling" wasn't enough to keep him in the competition, he might be brought back simply for drama. Glad it didn't work, and did not fluster Hadassah enough to ruin her focus.

I'm debating whether I want to watch this episode or not since I know what happened by following a live discussion about it.  I don't care how cute Dustin is, he's oatmeal bland.  Bah!  And he'll probably get axed next week.  But at least Beigo didn't come back.  And is anyone surprised that they're dragging out the elimination until next week?  Tyra and Co. like doing that because they seem to think people care.  The dogs were cute.  I'm not getting the love for Lacey's picture because she looks like a m*****.

 

Them going to Las Vegas was spoiled months ago, it was just the actual ones who went that seems to be off.  This cycle has been so cheap.  Heck at least the girls got to go to Hawaii in C13, this time they can't even leave the U.S.

I still can't figure out how Bello is pronounced Bejo. I can see Bey-o but where the hell does the J come from? He takes OK pictures but is too short so of course he won't get picked in go sees. It's pretty obvious that Yu just picks people to mess with each week (probably on instruction from Tyra) and this time around it was Justin. How can you look graceful carrying a heavy dog?

 

Nyle takes great pictures and is very handsome and I think they will never mess with him because it would look bad, so I think he is given an advantage over the others. Kelly continues to have the oddest personality. She is either a stone cold bitch or trying too hard to seem likable and cool with the contestants, none of it seems genuine. I do think Tyra is genuine, crazy as she is, but Kelly, Miss J and Yu are just playing a part.

I actually thought this was a great photo shoot. I loved Nyle, Lacey, Dustin and Courtney's photos. I thought the dog pairings were nearly perfect. I laughed when Devin got the ugly little hyper dog (ugly in a cute way though.) If they really wanted an animal that looked like Devin they should have paired him with a camel.

Seriously, Vegas? Tyra is getting awfully damn cheap. I always try to guess the overseas destination and I thought that they might do something interesting like Iceland or Germany this season but apparently I was way off base. Hell, even the petite girls got to go to Hawaii. Tyra couldn't at least spring for Costa Rica or The Virgin Islands. The models were obviously trying to hide their disappointment. I'm sure most of them have never been overseas before and we're expecting something exotic. Isn't Tyra worth like a billion dollars or something? This group of hamsters got duped by Tyra. Maybe next season they'll go to Reno.

I enjoyed that Tyra couldn't even sell Vegas as linked to fashion.  "We're gonna have...fun, y'all..."  I wonder if they're going to drive there, and if they do will they give us a fun graphic of them in transit?

 

I think I'm liking this season now.  It's lightweight, perfect Friday television.  I just finished it and have no idea who was eliminated and what happened beyond Bello having so much attitude the guy at Next told him to tone it down.  Such a pleasant waste of time, this episode, imho.

 

I'm curious what the scoring was without separating by eliminated/current contestants.  I felt like a few more of those eliminated contestants outscored some of those who are still in it.

They're not going overseas this season. They're going to Las Vegas? Really?

 

What a letdown compared to the cool places all the previous seasons went to.

 

It's where the Zappos headquarters are, and the execs who'll be choosing the model for their campaign probably can't be bothered to travel anywhere for that, so the hamsters have to come to them. On the one hand, I'm sad about the lack of travel porn, but on the other, modeling for online retailers is about the best type of paid work most ANTM contestants can hope to get, so Vegas is a realistic destination for them.

The dreaded back story of doom--lol, this is a perfect description. One reason we might want to be cautiously optimistic is that right after Justin gave his DBSoD of having a strict Asian upbringing, Hadassah was up telling us that she was rich until her father went away, and then she had to buy her brothers and sisters presents and say they were from him. With that, I thought Hadassah was headed straight to the Bottom 2, but she had a great picture and received lots of judges' praise. So maybe, just maybe, J Smooth can stick it out and get to top 3, which he deserves.

I was disappointed more attention wasn't paid to Delanie. In a sea of "models" that are only meh, I think she is drop-dead gorgeous. It's a shame that whatever she's got going on doesn't seem to translate to film. Still wish she would have gotten more screen time tonight though.

I hope Justin or Lacey takes this. Mame, while gorgeous, has a horrible personality to me. It's not just that she picks fights with everyone, it's that she goes from a 0 to a 10 in the blink of an eye. And she immediately goes in for the profanity, which is kind of, well, strange, to be doing on national TV when she's a state pageant title holder and heading into Miss USA. I definitely prefer Hadassah out of the two pageant girls in the house. And Nyle, something always bothered me about his appearance, and tonight I realized what it was: he's cross-eyed. I know almost everyone loves him and wants to get down with him, but I don't, and that is good, cause it cuts down on the competition--y'all can have him as your boyfriend lol.

I literally totally and completely forgot about Mikey. Is he still in this competition?

Nyle is seriously one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen.  I wish Kelly would get pervy again and ask him to take off his shirt.  I don't know who thinks he is only there because he is deaf because he is much, much, much better looking than the guys in the competition right now.  

 

I wish Mikey would have gotten kicked off -- he seemed more interested in pawing at Ashley than the competition.  And he annoys me....and I don't find him remotely attractive.

 

Maybe Vegas is just a day trip and they will do an overseas location a little later.  I always thought they went overseas with 4-5 models, not 7.

They went to China one season and now it's Las Vegas?  

 

This show gets more low-rent each season.

 

Nyle and the husky are both gorgeous, they can move into my home whenever they want!

I watched twice and never did hear how Lacey did on go-sees. I know her challenge score was an 8, but the only comment I can recall about her go-sees was the one designer saying she wouldn't book Lacey because she was having trouble with the dress. I wonder if they inflated her score after the fact, in order to keep her at the top? She has had such a positive edit that I think we'd have heard all about it if she had done well.

Ava knew she wasn't coming back. She looked defeated from the minute they arrived at panel.

I just knew they were going to cut Justin and keep Stefano. Hopefully I'll be 0 for 2 because even though I kinda-sorta agreed with the judges this week re his performance, I still think Justin is hot as hell and isn't that what really matters anyway?

 

And speaking of being hot as hell...Nyle. MMM-mmm-mmm. I would literally pay for that pic. Barring that, I'd like it as my wallpaper. When Tyra talked about her MOM going after him I was over here going: "Tell it!"

 

Oh, and by the way: Did y'all know Devin's signed to six modeling agencies? Yeah, me neither. And I LMAO when I saw him and Courtney get the Chinese Crested. That said, his pic wasn't half bad... and he's "entertaining," unlike Justin, so he's probably staying. (Music video next week? Yeah, Justin's going home. *sigh*)

 

Is it me or did the go-sees seem rushed? I guess with 14 of them competing they had no choice...also since they weren't traveling to a fashion capital I guess they had to get it in. (I've only been to Vegas twice...is it a fashion capital for anybody other than showgirls?) On the one hand I would have liked to have seen them spend more time on them...but on the other hand this is the closest to a go-see most of these hamsters will ever get. Also, I loved that the Next guy told Bello to drop the attitude as he was heading out the door. At least I got the pleasure of seeing (sort of) him and his fellow drama queen Devin paired together in a competition. In the immortal words of B. Scott (another androgynous model/celeb) : Bitch, boo, bye.

I agree -- an 8 puts her under the frontrunners.  I'm not sure why Hadasa only got a 9 -- don't challenge winners normally get a 10?  The fact that they edit her so horribly makes me like her because I feel like she is an underdog.  Even when she wins the challenge and has a great picture she still can't catch a key to the Tyra suite.  I think Nyle's photo was phenomenal, and I'm happy for him to get the suite, but I wish she could catch a break every once in a while.  

 

I felt like the go see challenge was sort of unfair to do this on.  A designer's opinion of a model may have nothing to do with what it will take to be successful in ANTM.  Not all the models will do runway work, and the taller models are going to have an unfair advantage.  Courtney is not ready for runway work, but she could potentially be a successful model who does editorial and high fashion.  I wish both challenges had been based on picture or on something else where they all had a level playing field.

Dustin - Boring!!  I can't believe they brought him back.  I thought there were others who deserved it more.  He won't last long.

 

Justin - Meh.  I think he's attractive, but I won't be disappointed or surprised if he goes home.  He doesn't really model, he just stands/lies/sits there and doesn't do anything.

 

Yu Tsai - Surprised me with his photography.  He was really good.  Way better than the usual idiot they've got doing it this season.  Those are the first photos this season that looked like a proper fashion shoot and they results were great.

 

Lacey - I also wonder how many shows she booked.  I like her but she really couldn't walk in that dress, which emphasised how short she is.

Vegas is the home to Magic, a gigantic trade show that can be compared to the four major fashion weeks, but for labels that wouldn't show at an international fashion week. In other words, it's where you go to be recognized as the next big thing in catalogue modeling.

I think it's a completely legitimate destination for business reasons. I would much rather have the show highlight that and how big Zappos business is than pretend that Las Vegas is some dream destination.

These were easily the best photos of the season. I liked more than I disliked. But I'm still mad at Yu for making Justin hold that dog. Once you saw it wasn't working, just move on. I just felt like he was setting Justin up for a fall. But still, most of those photos were wonderful. I did love Dustin's. Mostly because of the way the dog had his little head cocked to the side. That dog is a better model than most of the humans that have been on this show for the past many seasons.

 

I have to laugh at the "cliff hanger" because I really don't care that much. I will be sad if Justin leaves but not enough that I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to find out. If it's just this photo they go by, then Justin should go, but if it's overall performance then it should be Devon.

 

Oh, and by the way: Did y'all know Devin's signed to six modeling agencies?

Haddassah has grown on me a lot. I'm glad she did well. I definitely thinks he's a better pageant representative than foul mouthed, angry management needing Mame. who I couldn't stand ever since her ridiculous entitlement to "stand in line for the bathroom" by going and getting a sandwich.

Hulu was late putting this show up, usually they update it within 24 hours and didn't update til Friday.

 

WOOHOO I'm so happy, my eyecandy Dustin returns. That made my heart melt.

 

Bello is such a fucking drama queen, wait, queen is too nice of a word, drama bitch is the better term. Why didn't Bello & Devin get on the elevator with Ava and Hadassah? Bello booked nothing because he doesn't have a model look and too damn short. Bello please STFU, if Hadassah was your friend you would have hugged her during your elimination, but no, he needed the drama. Bello is the type of person that must have drama in their life, if there isn't drama, he creates it. Drama sustains him.

 

Forget the walk of Ava's I would be questioning that ugly mullet and asked her who told her that look was sexy.

 

Team Eyecandy Justin & Dustin, yes yes yes. I would be on that team if it wasn't for the last go see if them causing a disruption and cutting in front of douchebag Mikey.

 

Devin if you're signed to 6 agencies and these 6 agencies aren't really booking you for anything and letting you be on ANTM, you're not that great of a model then. If he was great some of these agencies would be like Devin we can't have you be on ANTM because we have some jobs we like for you to go on.

 

I had a feeling that Courtney wouldn't have booked anything, that walk was hideous, she's not classically pretty.

 

Goodness Delaine, she would piss me off with her forgetting shit. I would have pushed her into a street pole. Why do they always risk going to a final go see, knowing the time limit. They think because they see all of them, that means they'll get a good score, have they not seen the show.

 

Why isn't Nyle's interpreter with him during his photo shoot? If Yu needs to communicate with him I don't understand why the interpreter wouldn't be there.

 

Nyle's photo was great, Hadassah's wasn't that great as Lacey's was better so she should have been called second IMO.

 

IDK why we need a cliffhanger on who's returning so hopefully Justin's go see score helps him beat out annoying ass Devin.

I am SO glad Bello didn't come back. He was annoying as hell this episode and of course he didn't book a single go-see! If I were a casting director I would not even let him through my front door.

Las Vegas being the "overseas" destination is perfect for the cheapest most low-rent ANTM cycle ever. Can't they even go to New York, which while not overseas, is at least a fashion capital?

I think Justin is the eliminee since they showed the backstory of how his parents wanted him to be a lawyer or doctor. He is goodlooking but also extremely boring since he gives the exact same face in every photo without any intensity whatsoever.

I personally can't understand how Devin is signed to 6 worldwide agencies but STILL has to join ANTM to try to become a model. His look is not appealing to me at all, so I can't see him being a working model, and as the go-sees proved, the LA designers didn't like him that much either. I can see him being a standup comedian along the lines of Chris Tucker (whom he reminds me of somewhat) but definitely not a model.

Nyle deserved best photo this week as he was pretty much perfect. Dustin is still boring but he gave good face this week so I don't mind him returning.

Yu Tsai is a good photographer. Loved most of the photos this week. Wasn't he the photographer for all the Guess Jeans shoots they did in past cycles? He should be the photographer on all the shoots for this cycle instead of that godawful Gordon Ramsey lookalike with his blurry as fuck photos!

Hate that Justin seems to be getting a loser edit, but he really does just rest on pretty. Of course, there's a lot of it to rest on.

 

I may want to see how/ why everyone was wow'ed by Hadassah this week, because I find that so hard to believe. Still, in the minority here, I like her better than Mame just based on personality alone, and Hadassah's personality is no great shakes.

 

I have no issue with them going to Las Vegas. I've actually been surprised (mortified) in the past with some of the "models" they've taken to places like Spain, China, Thailand, etc.... This group is perfect for Vegas, and Vegas IS fun, so win/ win.

Lacey REALLY got screwed at that first go see.  You could see the other girls had dresses that fit, but Lacey tripped because her hem was WAY too low.  Of course this show needed to take her down a peg--it's inevitable.  And then we didn't even get to SEE any of the rest of hers. OR even hear her score.  We heard Stefano's score and that she didn't get the first one and mysteriously her actual score fell off the face of the planet.  I'm thinking she got zero and the show didn't want to admit it (they want her down a peg, but not THAT far down). 

 

That guy at go see #2 LOVED every naked male chest that came his way, didn't he?

 

Poor Courtney really got schooled by these go sees.  I was humiliated on her behalf just watching that.

I just noticed that even in panel, where they asked the others how many they booked, they clearly cut the footage with Lacey so we never heard that.

 

Really this reinforces my idea that she's meant to go most of the way, but not win. Nyle, or possibly slimy Mikey will (he never wins, but they praise his disgusting ass so much) or Hadassah will win (she's been getting the "growth" arc, in inverse proportion to Mame's fall from grace).

 

Lacey will likely be the next circle out beyond that, along with Mame. Or possibly Lacey could also be slated for a Final 3, but won't win (versus any of the other 3 I mentioned, who COULD win with the edits they've been getting).

I'm not a crackpot but I think they should get rid of the time element of the go-see challenge. Sometimes it has made for interesting television, although the only example I can think of off the top of my head is when Natasha told a mid-meltdown Brittany that some people have war in their countries, but overall I'd rather see more of the go-sees and less driving around.

I really hope Devin is the one to get eliminated. He has taken this as a joke too often.  I was glad to see that he was able to be professional enough to put aside the fact that he was paired with Bello and didn't immediately engage in some personal argument.  But Devin has been signed to 6 agencies and has been in the "business" for so many years.  He should know how big of an opportunity this show is and treat it accordingly instead of showing up to some of the challenges behaving the way he does.

I get that he may be trying to be a TV Personality, but does he think the personality he has chosen is likable?  I could understand him thinking that he should get into acting, and tying that with the TV personality thing, but than do you show up to an acting challenge behaving the way he did?  I would applaud him for being goofy if it was funny or endearing.  Does he thing that whatever he and Mikey have going is winning hearts and minds?

I am just so completely, totally and absolutely in lust with Nyle, I can't even.  

 

The worst part is that I am old enough to be his mother.  *heavy sigh*

LOL -- men have been doing this for years, its all part of feminism.  

 

At least you're not Kelly, sometimes I think she is going to try to molest him on screen.  But I can't even blame her.

Ha ha you guys are funny. But yeah Nyle is seriously the man you cant help but like and root for this guy. Its gotta be tough for him  but he continues to stay out of the drama in the house he keeps a positive attitude and delivers amazing photos. His last photo may have been my favorite photo of his all season.

Well, it's probably what has kept him on the show well past his "sell by date". If it were up to me he would have been the first or second one out, but alas, it's not up to me, and Tyra must have thought his antics were worth keeping him over Dustin, Stefano and Ava.

I think you're absolutely right.  I also think its why Bello was so over the top in his behavior to get back onto the show.  I feel like he was hoping for a little producer manipulation by showing the producers that he had no problem being the villain and starting drama in order to attract viewers.  Unfortunately for him they ended up letting back on one of the happier contestants.

 

I just feel like Devin could have been just as well served by being goofy, a little dramatic, but toning it down about 20 degrees from the way he is behaving now.

I twas really interesting in the episode where Mikey said he was a changed man and reintroduced himself to Bello, Bello introduced himself as BAY-yo. Not Bay-jo, not Bay-zho, or any of the other pronunciations we've heard on the show. Has he pronounced it differently other times? Because I can't figure out why Tyra and everyone else is fancying up his name?
