my thought on that was the Duggar church christmas play is probably happening soon and Spurge is going to be the "star" reciting the KJV of the christmas story for an audience of whoever is still willing to attend the church of JB

NOBODY takes the place of Linus Van Pelt reciting the Christmas story.

Nobody.

What's the purpose of this, some sort of IBLP masterbation accountability enforcement??

Yeah, that.

And the fact that what they know is a house where you have one bedroom per sex. Their life is all the guys in the house sleeping in the same room. .....

The thing that's going to make life hardest for all of them is the "that's what they know" factor, I think.

What they know is really really stunted and really really warped -- and will make everything else on the planet seem alien and uncomfortable to them when and if they encounter it. That'll dog them all if and when they try to or have to try living outside the bubble. Or even communicating with anybody outside the bubble....

Everybody in the world will feel alien and potentially hostile to them. And vice versa.

Jert and Jernie sounds a lot like Jean and Jorts, two cats who took the internet by storm last week.

OMG! The response from HR in particular had me laugh-crying! "Pam is NOT to apply butter to any of her coworkers...Pam is also not to put cups on Jort's head." Look, I too have a Tortie and an orange kitty (pictured) and we're not dealing with a brain trust when it comes to the latter!

@Ohiopirate02, thank you for the gift that keeps on giving!  Have you seen the sea shanty?!

Sea shanty?!?  I have not seen that one.

I can't link it, but look up GEIdaho on Twitter.  Her refrain includes, "Soon may the smarter cat come to save poor Jorts so orange and dumb".

Mods, sorry for getting off topic, but the saga of Jean and Jorts is the kind of levity we all need with the sh*tshow that is the Duggars.

Getting back on topic, is it strange that I've never actually watched any of the Duggar shows (except for the Megyn Kelly interview)? I've just always found their whole schtick kind of fascinating--disturbing but interesting! I think there was an overall thread about them on TWoP and that lifestyle and I remember there was a Free Jinger! idea. I've been reading these forums for several years but it's become regular now due to the major upheaval.

Free Jinger was born from the constant locking of the Duggar thread on TWOP. 😀

I never knew that.  I assumed it was some kind of push by "fans"? for one of them to break free and she seemed the obvious?/favorite?/likely one?.

Not really a C.S. Lewis fan, but I always loved his quote along a similar line: "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive."

Hey Blob when the judge tells Smuggar which federal prison he has been sentenced to will you stand up an say that  I don't approve of that prison do you?

The judge doesn’t decide, the BOP does.

But won't the judge be able to tell Smuggar his destination on the day of sentencing?  I'd assume he'd know by then.

Not necessarily.  It all depends on which facility can take Smuggar when he is finally sentenced.  Sometimes the BOP does not know before which facility has room for him until the day of sentencing or even after.

I’ll leave that to the legal eagles here. OTOH think about the many televised sentencing hearings you have probably watched. Does the judge tell the person where he/she is going?

He will be remanded to the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.   But he won't be shipped off that day to some place.   He will go back to County Lock Up until the feds show up to transport him to his new home (hopefully for a long stay).   Usually someone is out and has a report date.   It's while they are out they get told where to report.   So it may take a couple of days to sort out where he is going once they decide who has a place for him based on the sentence and the security needed.

But you can still have Head Idiot standing up and say "I don't approve it" when the Felon is sentenced to real prison instead of Jesus Jail.

^^I agree. Here's a page of information on that subject from the Bureau of Prisons:  https://www.bop.gov/inmates/custody_and_care/designations.jsp - it says they base their "designation" decisions (inmate status, facility, etc.) on materials that don't seem like they would all be available before the judge enters the sentencing order:

Quote

Prior to a designation occurring, the DSCC must receive for consideration all sentencing material regarding the offender. These documents are received from the sentencing Court, U.S. Probation Office, and the U.S. Marshals Service and processed.

In Blobs mind why should he have to pay for the girls therapy  when he was in court he denied and forgot that Smuggar did anything to the girls.  So because nothing happened according to Blob there is nothing to pay for.

I feel this was overblown. JB remembered, the judge knew he remembered, just like we all know he remembered.

Do you know why Clown Car didn't have any more kids after Jubilee? Her uterus said that's enough and double locked and threw away the key.

Her hormone levels were tested, and the doctor told her she was approaching menopause. This was all in an episode.

Weren't they allegedly investigating fertility treatments with that doc at first? I guess god doesn't always determine the size of the family!

It never has, or those craven Bateses would have fewer kids. Kelly used progesterone treatments to maintain pregnancies, and I would bet money Princess Erin used fertility treatments to have her most recent.

Tl; dr -- they're all a bunch of lying hypocrites.

There's a picture on Pickle's FB of Michelle (walking with Jinger) in pants.

I enlarged the picture and it is 💯 capris.

The photos are posted here, too, in the Duggalo thread. It is a one of those athletic skirt/legging combos.

No TLC did them dirty and kind of teased that they were seeing a fertility specialist, but all they did was see a doctor about whether or not they could have more kids. The doctor tested her hormone levels. They didn't tell us what happened, but shortly thereafter Michelle started talking about her "new season of life."

I recall Meech admitting that her hormone levels were low. That means impending menopause, if not full-blown menopause, depending on her numbers.

What I don't get about Michelle having her hormones checked is - why did it matter? God was either going to give them another blessing or not. Michelle vowed to always be joyfully available. Hormones or no hormones, it was going to be sandwich making as usual.

Or maybe, just maybe, they'd toss out the calendar and Michelle might have started to get migraines. 😁

The doctor was a high-risk pregnancy specialist, certainly not a fertility specialist. It was just a plot for the show. Any doctor could have checked her hormone levels if it was even necessary (no one ever checked mine), and for joyfully available Michelle, it wouldn't matter.

I agree that according to what she says about "joyful availability" it wouldn't matter, but in reality, it did matter -- a lot.

I think that J'chelle's entire identity revolved around her super-fertility, and when she found out that the baby making apparatus was closing down, it was a huge blow for her. She looked shell-shocked (to me) literally for years after that. That was when JB started trying to cheer her up with the whole "looking forward to a new season of life" mantra he blew at her over and over again.

My personal theory (based on no information other than what I've seen on tv) is that J'chelle suffered some sort of trauma, like sexual abuse, in her youth and all of this bs is a coping mechanism for her. Being pregnant all the time allowed her to be sexual, and revel in her sexuality, without being sexually objectified. There is obviously nothing more openly sexual and fertile than being pregnant, on the other hand, pregnant women are usually not sexualized by the the male population at large. Being pregnant allowed her to be both sexual and safe at the same time.
