S13.E04: Putting the Tiff in Tiffany's

I guess after three lousy episodes, they had to bring in Troop Heather to bring some sensibility back to the show.  They must have paid her a bundle.  This just might be the demise of Edgy Leah.  Speaking of, Ramona did a bang up job of setting the scene of Breakfast at Tiffany’s with the beautiful pearls, dishes, candles and all.  Time for some nice chatter.  Then a moron named Leah, whips out her phone and proceeds to devalue Heather with her pod cast fodder involving LuAnns supposidely drug problem during the nice dinner.  The girl is batso crazy.  Somebody should have took her phone away and put her ass in Uber back to the pandemic City.  Maybe newly Ebony.  Crazy Leah was supposed to be better this season, but turned worse.  I don’t know how Ramona didn’t let her have it after she ruined her backyard last year and now ruined her weekend this year after going out of her way to make it nice.  I only hope Leah’s daughter doesn’t see this show.  Even if she doesn’t watch, her friends will tell her.  Poor kid.

Damn it.....two weeks in a row that Leah makes me stick up for Ramona.  I, like Ramona, do not like talking about eating ass at the dinner table, or the lunch table, breakfast table, snack table or any other kind of table.  

Me thinks Sonja pooped her pants at the restaurant - when they were all leaving, Lu was already outside, Eboni was walking out the door of the restaurant holding packages, Sonja and Ramona in the background and Sonja's pants are definitely soiled with something.

Frankel actually went for the jugular because she was so lost and pathetic. She was disdainful, dismissive, arrogant, hypocritical, desperate and manic. 

I would take back Bethenny, Dorinda and Jill if I could get rid of Leah. Hell, I'd take Kelly and Aviva in the trade. At least none if them completely dominated every conversation like the disgusting, low class piece of trash that is Leah. As far as I am concerned the only HW even close to Leah in sheer awfulness is Brandi Glanville but, at least in the beginning, she had a mildly interesting story line because of all her then public battles with Eddie and Leeann. Leah's got nothing. She has ruined this show.

Leah was beyond annoying.  Eboni made some valid points about kicking someone when they are down however, why should Lu just still there and take it? Yeah, the marriage ended but it was a marriage.  He was her husband.  In middle school, a friend of mine was a bedwetter so during sleepovers she would put a long foam pad inside her sleeping bag.  It was pink for some reason and had a dollar bill imprinted on it.  That is all I think of when I see Leah's TH dress.  It is hideous.

It was quite sad to see Eboni speak up for Sonja’s emotional state the same way Sonja did for Kelly when she was introduced.

Leah was doing the most this episode; Heather was cool as a cucumber like always. She hasn’t aged either.

I also had wondered if something happened to her shirt in the previous episode and that why Lu bought her the cover up shirt at the boutique.  It wouldn’t surprise me if she had spit up or spilled down her front and Lu was trying to cover it up for her because they were headed to dinner in public.  Sonja is a sad mess.  Just to the point that it’s GROSS now.  Not cute, eccentric, funny, or a personality trait.  
 

Same with Leah.  Eating ass is not a personality trait and it’s also not appropriate dinner table talk.  Raunchy and gross.

I am so disappointed in RHONY (not mad...just, disappointed...which we all know is worse).  This was, hands down, my favorite franchise of HW and it is now utterly awful.  I turned it off last night.  I will read here for the snark, but I won't be watching anymore; it's unwatchable for me and, trust and believe, I watch a LOT of trashy TV.  

I saw a "news" report that they are already casting for next season.  I hope it's true and I hope they get a MAJOR cast makeover. I want property porn, fashion, vacations, jewels, and subtle, witty shade...not dive apartments, rubber dresses, backyard hoe-downs (written as intended), Zales cubic zirconia, and ass-eating convos at dinner.  I'm out.

I have a feeling that Andy really likes Leah and what raunchy stuff she brings to the table, he sees it as controversial, edgy, etc...sadly, I do not see her leaving the show.

I think Sonja's not wrong that Luann prioritizes the men in her life over her friends. I think that was a valid criticism. However, Lu's also right that it is a bit rich for Sonja to point that out since Sonja apparently ghosted both Luann and Ramona for most of the summer. Plus Sonja's attitude towards Garth is more like one that a jealous ex-lover would have than a friend. 

Sonja isn't as vicious as Dorinda but like Dorinda, I think she uses alcohol as a crutch and uses it to lower her inhibitions to say stuff that she is normally not willing to say to her friends. It's going to continue to be a problem.

I didn't really watch the seasons that Heather was on but from what I've seen of her, I'm not really a huge fan. That being said, Leah is doing too much to gang up on her and it's making me more sympathetic towards her than I think I would normally be.

Oh you mean Leah’s box apartment and musty basement skeevy spa doesn’t do it for ya? 😂.  I mean, does it get any more pathetic than she had to use Ramona’s mansion for a party she wanted to host because Leah is no where near Hamptons property owning level?  Hell, her parents don’t even have a place out there.  She’s NOTHING.  And then, she proceeds to be on Ramona’s back the entire time.  IN HER OWN HOME.  Bless Ramona because I would have brought that up.  I still hope it comes up at the reunion.  YOU HAD TO USE MY HOME TO HOST BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOTHING.  Got that?

I was just thinking, if Leah hates Ramona so much, why doesn't she host something herself? then remembered, she has nowhere to host them. It'd be a tight fit in her apartment for a party that would, most likely, have a vulgar theme, and I'm afraid of what personal friends she'd invite. Not to mention, a nice spa day, to her, meant going someplace where no one seemed to want to touch any surfaces, Tinsley was not comfortable removing her jewelry, and they were flogged with eucalyptus branches. 

Yeah, it's best if she doesn't host anything, or, preferably, attend anything.

Years ago I was watching some daytime show.  They had on a musician/actor that had gone bankrupt.  Someone finally nailed him on what bankrupt  meant, given that he still had ten million dollars back in the 1990s.  That's how I feel with Sonja.  She made really terrible business decisions that cost her a fortune.  She is saddled with the townhouse of gloom and doom that she refuses to list at a reasonable price. Yet she can get plastic surgery, go to "wellness retreats", pay (minimally) for interns and does all of the other BS that she does on a daily basis. She has a TV job for which she is paid very well to do nothing but show up and be a fool.  She will not end up homeless and destitute.  People with the kind of money she had typically don't.  

It seems like her daughter now has the family money.  Good.  She can give Sonja an allowance if need be.  Then Sonja can cry to us all about how she should be on a yacht in on the French Riviera with the fabulous people.  

I do feel sorry for Sonja because she is such a mess.  We are watching her fall apart.  At the same time, she needs a serious dose of reality and a solid kick in the ass to

Agreed. While I do think that Eboni had a point about Lu calling Sonja a friend with benefits, meanwhile, Tom married HER, was foul, Sonja earned that dress down. If it's exhausting watching Sonja live in the past and constantly bring up Harry and Tom, I can only imagine how annoying it is to listen to her drone on and on about it. Lu reached her limit, so I'm not mad at her for it. However, it's baffling how much they tie their worth to these men. Harry and Tom are not prizes! Leah is truly extraneous. The rest of them have enough drama for days to entertain the audience. However, I'm also over Ramona clutching her pearls and walking away whenever sex is brought up. It's fine if she thinks the subject is crass, and she prefers to keep her freakiness on the low, but running like a cameraman on Maury is too much.

This may be a my fave franchise, but I am starting to feel disappointed in it this season. I think the cast is too small and it doesn't really have boss bitch in charge of the girls.

I hate, hate, hate to agree with Ramona but such graphic sex talk at the table is just gross. There is sex talk and then there is sex talk. Leah always takes it to sex talk, which is vulgar, crass and graphic just for the sake of being vulgar, crass and graphic. I don't want to hear about eating ass while trying to enjoy a meal. 

I usually don't mind Leah, but I am starting to see what others have been saying that she isn't a fit for the show. I'd swap out Heather for Leah in a heartbeat.

Sonja is an asshole and if she doesn't want to feel demeaned or less than, then perhaps she shouldn't demean others and makes others feel less than.

Luann bragging about Tom asking her to marry him isn't something to brag about, given that the marriage was over before it started and arguably led to the darkest time in Lu's life (arrest and multiple rehab stints).

Ramona's Hamptons home is beautiful but it looks like a home staged for sale - just beige and stripped of personality in order to sell. 

I ,miss Dorinda, but agree she needed to be rested and I hope she comes back next season.

I don't blame Luann for getting fed up with Sonja's comments. Sonja isn't a good friend to anyone. For years she's made critical comments about Luann and Ramona, yet they're always expected to protect her and her feelings. That's not friendship. Sonja is never happy for anyone else, she gets jealous and lashes out like a toddler. Instead of plastic surgery & wellness retreats, she needs a good therapist!  While drinking isn't helping, her comments are just as nasty when sober.

Eboni. While I get why she was sympathetic in that moment, she doesn't know the history and should've stayed out of it. I also thought her comment about Heather being the only one who asked about her a bit rich, when we obviously saw the other women do the same.

Leah. Please go. She sucks the life out of everything, I hate people who only say do things for shock value/attention. As others have said, she's ruining my favorite franchise.

Finally, while I've noted Sonja's issues above, I did have to laugh at the "I'm glad for Luann that she's found love or a big dick or whatever" (even if she didn't mean it)

Sonja truly is a delusional mess. It's crazy to me that she thinks she is till part of the Morgan dynasty as if she was born into it. She's been divorced over ten years and her ex has remarried! I'm pretty sure the Morgan family want nothing to do with her. And the fact that she is still bringing up Tom and Harry, I just can't. Lu had every right to tell at her for that.

I've always been a Heather fan and I loved the way she handled Leah. It's clear to me that the real issue isn't that Heather talked about Lu doing drugs, it's that Leah is threatened by her. She's been successful in business, in marriage and is a previous HW that has history with the ladies and viewers of the show. Leah seems very afraid that she might want to come back to the show and the ladies (and viewers) would embrace her more than Leah. Which is true for me because I can't stand Leah and would welcome Heather back.

Exactly!!!  It's a repeated pattern, and Leah's pretty good at playing that game.  Apparently it's been happening throughout Leah's entire life, based on the stories we've heard from her and her Mom. 

However, eventually, her Mom had enough and wouldn't play the game - wasn't Leah kicked out of her house as a teenager?  And, didn't her Mom stop communicating with her several times in the past because of bad behaviors? 

It seems that Leah has always been an attention whore, and she seems to think that doing the wrong thing will get her the right attention.  So incorrect on so many levels.

If I remember correctly, Harry Dubin (Sonja, Aviva, Ramona, Lu and whoever else) seemed friendly enough and relatively harmless. He seems like what I would call a Good Time Charlie. I almost wish the show would introduce a little Harry action to lighten the mood a bit. If there were going to be men on the show, I'd rather see Harry than hear about Tom.

At least we see the RHONY gals warts and all. No makeup, crusty eyed, waking up, messy stringy hair and actually EATING!  We’d never see that on any other franchise (at least the ones I watch.. BH and OC). How they wake up after a night of boozing and go off on another booze soaked day trip is beyond me. Must have great constitutions, I’d need a week for my liver to recover.

 I agree with most here that Leah is sucking out the fun. She’s just mean.  She enjoys being mean and interrogating ditzy Ramona. Maybe that’s why she was hired. It’s her MO.

Now that Tinsley is gone and Dorinda is rested and dried out... I’d swap her for Leah.  At least Dorinda made me laugh (before the bullying) and that house in the Beserkshires was the setting for some truly wild and crazy times.

Seems like that's it.  I actually liked the show last night if I could just edit Leah out which might not be that hard since she was doing her own separate show: 

• At the Tiffany dinner (really shouldn't that have been breakfast, lol) she refused to dress in the Audrey Hepburn attire. 
• Reading from her phone over dinner was annoying.  No one asked her to do that, no one really cared and in the end fell flat. 
• Her ridiculous "vow of silence" didn't phase any of them or hinder the conversation, which is why she sadly stopped it.  (I was enjoying it).
• Her profanity laced tantrum over being asked to give Ramona and Lu five minutes to finish the private convo she barged in on was completely out of place.  
• She refused to work out, not because she was doing something else but just to be a bitch. 
• Leah wanted to make losing her grandmother a storyline but again, it fell flat because Eboni was privately dealing with the same issue.  

So basically Leah was doing her own show and it wasn't entertaining or engaging and certainly not part of an ensemble reality show.

I thought Ramona was very calm and nice when asking Leah to give her and Lu 5 minutes to finish their private conversation. Leah lost her shit over that? In Ramona's house?

I don't always like Ramona but I always enjoy watching her on this show.   Same with Luann.   The two together have always entertained me through the years.

After Sonja drunkenly attacked Ramona over Chase Morgan vs Wells Fargo mortgage rates (wth?) Ramona told her the Morgan family doesn't pay her bills so she needed to "Get real, bitch."  Then Sonja screamed that Ramona didn't have ANYTHING to rely on and I cheered when Ramona responded, "I have myself!"   Because Ramona has always had herself.  No family support, she made her first million by 40.  A divorce didn't break her financially or otherwise.  Ramona has always had her own back and has tried to have Sonja's too.  But at this point I think Sonja is the only one that can help Sonja.

I like Eboni but she isn't going to swoop in and solve anything.  She is beautiful though.  Looks super young with no makeup. 

Sonja is a huge mess.  Quincy maybe needs hire her a minder.  She needs supervision.

Lu didn't bug me but how she acts around men is really sort of pathetic.  She never looks comfortable.  She is always clinging to them for dear life.  Maybe so Sonja doesn't put a death grip on them.  

Producers/editors/Andy:  Talk of eating ass and the constant reminder that Mona has poop problems is really unsettling.  Pick one topic if you must but both is really sick.  And PLEASE, recast.  I love the idea of the original recipe cast.  Lu/Jill/Ramona/Alex/Bethenny.  OR keep Eboni and bring in 5-6 others.  This cast isn't working.

I don't have any sympathy for Sonja. All of her mess is her own making. She is a delusional person who lives in the past. If she has a one-night stand with a man, she thinks he's "hers" forever and never shuts up about it. I don't blame Luann for getting fed up with her and yelling. I really loved Sonja on her first season of this show and it's sad to see what she's become.

Leah needs to leave the show. How many times is she going to mention Ramona's COVID thing? Literally NO ONE CARES. I don't know why Ramona didn't throw her out of the house after her behavior. I would have told Leah, "I'm hiring a car to take you back to the city" and never given her the time of day again. Leah is desperate for attention and she's trashy. She doesn't fit in with this show, maybe send her to RHONJ.

Last night I kept thinking how pleasant this show would be without Leah. She has made it practically unwatchable for me.

LuAnn is just so insufferable when she has a man. She just throws it into everyone’s conversation and acts like a giddy teenager (and she is IN NO WAY a teenager).

Lu’s actions speak so loudly about her self worth. She must have a man to be “somebody”. When she doesn’t have a man she hits the bottle.

Spot on! Remember how long she hung on the Count, despite him not even living with her?   Why else would Lu be soooo desperate to marry that jerk Tom who not only never stopped dating but did it publicly.

In a rare moment of introspection at the reunion last year, Leah admitted that a lot of her issues with Ramona have to do with her issues with her mother. Leah clearly sees Ramona is a mother-substitute, and so has a push/pull relationship with her.

For one, I think Ramona probably is way more financially secure than Sonja. And for two, while Ramona didn't make that big of a deal about it, I thought her response that she relies on herself was the right way to answer that tirade. 

Ramona is the kind of person who will put you through the ringer to have you "prove" yourself to her, which is annoying, but I do think that when she considers you a friend, she really considers you a friend.

Are the women on these shows taking copious amounts of laxatives to control their weight? I’ve never heard of so many woman shitting their pants in my life like it’s a normal thing. 
There is definitely a mother-daughter dynamic going on between Ramona and Leah. 
I love how Eboni has been able to keep her composure around this circus. The only time I’ve see Leah acting appropriately is when the two of them are alone. I really have to wonder how those two entered into the same social circle though before the show.

The cast is not evenly matched. Ramona is the only one with the home and the money to host parties. Sonja, Leah and to even LuAnn can't entertain the way Ramona does. They either don't have the homes or the money. Don't know about Ebony's finances because she is new and we haven't seen a lot of her off the show.  The show has turned into a small group of women who drink to excess and fight like a bunch of hags. Not what most of us want to see when we tune into RHNY. Leah and I am sorry to say Sonja need to go. They ruin every episode with their drunken crass behavior. And Leah can't even blame her disgusting behavior on booze this year.

I think it's the alcohol.   I remember Kim Richards having similar incidents on RHOBH. 

I'm not sure what was going on with Sonja's white jeans last night but she definitely had some sort of Poise pad failure. She was so drunk she didn't even know.    Ramona noticed it (and wisely didn't say anything) but seriously, if I was a waitress (or anyone in the hospitality field, I would demand a deposit before allowing these women into my establishment.

Did they though?  I'm thinking this was a production orchestrated by production.  We've seen it before (RHOOC) where a cast member introduces the new woman "as a friend."

Did they really, though? For the life of me, I can't remember what the story was, but I thought producers merely used Leah to bring Eboni on the show and I didn't really buy it. Eboni had met Luann on the charity circuit and seems more on that level, not Leah's -- they should have used Luann as her vehicle onto the show. But then Leah would literally have no allies and Andy can't have that.

Don’t go ..we all feel the same.  The other housewives shows are no better.  A couple of people just have to go.  They have to keep the favorites and get some new ones.  Andy has to lighten up on the slobs as it’s not working.  Maybe to him it’s funny, but not to us.  Yes, vacations, homes, maybe a trip to Europe for a change or some other country if this Covid goes away.  I just knew they would film in the Hamptons .. not the city.
