I'm a gynecologist, so my surgical patients don't wear anything below the Mason-Dixon line, but, the few times I've had surgery, I kept my underpants on.  Women have to remove bras and such due to the metal in the closures and underwires since they use cautery in the OR.  I don't think there was any reason for Larissa not to be wearing underwear for her surgery except that the producers probably requested it so they could get those shots and we know she'll do anything to be on camera.

Charlie is an ass that was ugly. Chuck's combover was large and in charge and almost a diff color- (toupee?) or I am just used to him in a ball cap, it entertained me to no end because he looked like a fat doughy pale POS out of his USA uniform. Libby's lipstick was too severe and the pancake makeup was for morticians. I didn't need Jen's see thru leggings and big ass headed up the stairs. Coltee is disgusting, he and Pole have the same east west flat footed running condition. I wonder if it is a developmental delay or condition. Any OT here? 

I hate Angela yet here we are I felt bad about Mother Angela and empathy for Angela for being so far away when she was stricken. 

Mother Debbie: JFC. She knows Pole can't find his way out of a paper bag 1/2 the time she calls him basically a loser and 1/2 the time worries.  She is one strange ranger and the DNA didn't fall far from the tree.  Her shirt was blurred out and had an airplane on it. I bet she works close to the airport in Louisville and it was a work shirt. 

WHY did big tough guy Low not come down hard on Mother Auselo? And why did she turn on a dime to send me more money no matter what, to I love you? That was a terrible cut scene, kids asleep kids awake there is NO way the scene went down like we were shown. The conversation did not even make sense. Father Low said NOTHING strong to put her in her place. Mother Kalani said "They can't give what they don't have." I cannot believe Low didn't lay the hammer down like he always brags about. I do not like that man. Bully and all talk except for when the rubber meets the road.

Is their long hair a "thing?" Kalani Kalini Mother Kalini Kalani? 

 

 

I was married in a Serbian Orthodox church so watching this Moldovan wedding last  night was so reminiscent for me.  Yes, the bride should have been wearing the crown, but it obviously would not fit on her head with the flowers in her hair.  (I thought it looked very awkward with the male following her holding the crown above her head.)   If Libby had been familiar with Orthodox weddings, she would have known to leave her head bare for the crown.  It's traditional for the bride and groom to have their hands "bound together" and walk around the altar three times.  The ceremony is looong, much longer than any American wedding.  I also noticed Libby knew how to make the sign of the cross on herself, which is made in the opposite direction than in a Catholic church--forehead, then center of chest, then right chest, then left chest.  The inside of the church was very typical of any Orthodox church, lots of gold with murals on the ceiling and many icons throughout the church.  Also noted were the two stands with slim white candles burning that parishioners burn for their deceased loved ones.  The candles are stuck in sand as a fire deterrent.  Lovely ceremony and reception.

Father Low was so sensible explaining the true Samoan way, of take care of your family first, and help others if you can.      I think he's already over the demands, and probably figures he'll end up supporting his daughter and the two kids before long.    I thought it was amusing how Mama Asuelu now claims that she thinks Asuelu should take care of his own kids first, and really doesn't mean that at all.  

Maybe Asuelu will grow a backbone, but either way I don't think the Samoan Asuelu's will ever stop demanding money.    How dare Tammy get in Lisa's face like that.    Then way grandmother Asuelu acts like she cares about the grand children, and then says if getting her money means they're homeless, and hungry, then she's fine with that.      The attitudes of Mama A. and Tammy are disgusting.   I really wish someone would wipe that nasty smirk off of Mama A. and Tammy's faces.    If it comes down to a real throw down, my money is on Lisa and Kalani. 

So is Asuelu growing a backbone?  The only think Mama A. loves is money.   Tammy is a straight up jerk.  How dare Tammy say Asuelu should dump the wife, and kids, and divorce to give every penny to his mother.   People on reality shows often claim that what they said was misrepresented, or edited to make them look bad, but Tammy can't say anything is misrepresented.   

I can't wait for next week after the previews.

Mother and Sister Asuelo and the other one come to Utah to have a sit down with Family Kalini, who paid for the airline tickets?

Asuelo picks up mother and sister from the airport and they ask where Kalini and kids are...why wouldn't Asuelo say that with the car seats plus Kalini there would not be enough room in the car instead he says no, she didn't want to come.

I think the only reason that family convo went well was because of Lo's presence, mother and sister would have gotten in the women's faces if there was no elder/male there.

when I had my breast cancer lumpectomy, I couldn't wear anything under my gown. The same with my chemo port insertion and removal.

As someone who has had many, many surgeries, I have never peed while under anesthesia. I've always been under the impression that anesthesia basically puts the bladder & bowels to sleep. I have always been told all of my underwear has to be removed for surgery for sanitary reasons. When I am out of surgery, the first thing I want to do is get up & walk to the bathroom. I have had several outpatient surgeries, there is no way any of my doctors would release me if I was as incoherent as Larissa was. But, I've never had cosmetic surgery or surgery in a fancy store front doctor's office. 

What have we, as viewers, done to be punished with ongoing non story lines with Larissa, Ericeee and Colteeee?

As someone in Angela's age range, there is no way I would treat this as a first time twenty something year old wedding. Mikeeel pulling her garter off with his teeth, yulch!  Hearing about her wedding night orgasam, yulchier! Hearing about Mikeeeels reaction to her massive, saggy, pocketbook breasts, yulchiest!

I could not believe how grateful & humble Father Elizabeth was. But, their comments about the delicious looking food was very immature, and it's time for the brother to just go.

I don’t care for any of the players in the Moldova/America show except maybe Andrei’s parents, but I thought the wedding was very nice.  Obviously the siblings are extremely jealous of each other and worried about who may get more of dads’ money.  IMO, the Charlie scene was scripted, if it weren’t,  a few guys would have overtaken him and got the mic away.  BTW, am I the only one who thinks Andrei’s friend and brother look very much alike, more than Andrei and his brother.  Not sure what the purpose of the Asuelo/Kalani family meeting was, his family are stupid, they just don’t get it and Kalani should really fight her own battles.  Tired of Michael, Angela, Larissa, Ericie and Coltee. Now that Ang and Michael are married hope we have seen the last of them.  Glad we didn’t get any of drunk and drunker this week, they are a complete mess.  They should jut go their separate ways or she needs to move to SA if she wants him to be happy with her.

Its the exact same story line as Chantel and Pedro's. The husband's families are shown as grasping and greedy, and loud about it. The husband's family demands that he divorce his wife. The wife runs to her family to talk smack about her in laws and her husband, and expects them to fight her battles for her. Both wives have siblings who are creepily over invested in their sister's lives. Everyone is suspicious of everyone else. If Tammy and Easter Island are invited to dinner at Lo and Lisa's, and Tammy is thrown to the floor and has a handful of her hair ripped out while Lisa screams about Immigration, we'll know for sure that the writers have all quit in disgust so we're stuck with recycling the same plots, over and over.

The scene of Coltee vomiting into the trash cans was the single most revolting thing I've seen on this series and that is saying a lot. Coltee is the most uncoordinated, bumbling, graceless, clumsy tub of mush that has ever graced my television. Hope this is his and Debbie's last season. Their story line is not interesting at all.  

The Moldovan wedding was quite lovely. The church was gorgeous. Elizabeth's brother needs to get over it. If Daddy wants to spend his money on his daughter's wedding it's his choice not yours, Charlie.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Angela and Michael actually seemed happy and in love on their wedding day. Will wonders never cease?

I was made to pee TWICE!! After a heart procedure last year under general anesthesia.  I hate hospitals, and as soon as I am a bit awake, I am trying to get out of there. 
No way would Larissa been sent home as bad as she was acting.  My guess is she was ok, got dressed, saw the cameras, then boom.

A lot of people are commenting about the price of the wedding, who paid etc...On another board many Eastern Europeans chimed in that this wedding would cost less than $10-15K USD and was pretty standard fare, not excessively lavish for that culture; so wether Chuck paid or not it was pennies on dollar compared to the US (and Belgian) weddings he provided for his other daughters. Charlie is an idiot. Moldova is one of (if not) the poorest countries in Europe, I’m sure the exchange rate was amazing. I went to the USSR- and Moldova is one of the former Soviet countries most like the old USSR- on a school trip in 89’ (given stone ages ago) and literally came back with 95% of the spending $ my parents gave me. A full meal at a fancy restaurant was under $10 max. My finance is Iranian and he always raves about his older barber in Iran that cost him $5 USD equivalent, including tip...that was less than a year ago. People are super ignorant...the family Libby being up at the top of the list.

Unless, Larissa was pretending, she was way too sedated to be released. After one of my cosmetic surgeries, I felt as sleepy as she looked, but they aroused me and kept coaxing me to wake up, dress, use bathroom, etc, before I left.  I’ve taken people home after their surgeries and I’ve never seen anyone that sedated.

As long as we keep watching they will keep doling it out unfortunately.  I am totally guilty of hate watching this season but so far have refused to watch the Family Chantal, The Twin Bimbos, or B90 after watching one episode, that’s the show with Ego Ed & Wllted Rose and Asshat Avery  etc etc they are all annoying and unwatchable on that show.

I had outpatient knee surgery, and I went in without panties. When I had wrist surgery, which was all of a 10 minute surgery, they gave me mesh panties to wear instead of my regular ones.

So my take from this episode is that Family Libby really wants their own Family Chantal spin off.  The acting is beyond horrible.  

I'm with others: I miss the real couples, unscripted drama.  Or as unscripted as you can get in the reality TV world.

Honestly, I don't even hold onto the rim in my own home and I don't lay on the floor draped over the toilet like I see people do on TV.

I've always been such a hands-off puker -- Stand (not sit or kneel) above the toilet, no hands on the toilet (may hands are usually on my knees as I lean over) and get the hell out of the bathroom as soon as I can. Anything else just grosses me out more than the actual puke grosses me out.

I think Libby and Andrei's Moldovan wedding is a series highlight for me. The church was gorgeous and I thought Libby looked so lovely. Libby's family is fairly atrocious, but I think she and Andrei are all right.

In the age of "Doctor Pimple Popper" and "My Feet Are Killing Me," Angela continues to be the grossest thing on TV. Michael's devotion to her is either a sign that he's really in love or he's just that desperate for a spousal visa.

I could have done without all the drama surrounding Larissa's plastic surgery.

It was nice to see Asuelu stand up to his family for once.

As long as we keep watching they will keep doling it out unfortunately.  I am totally guilty of hate watching this season but so far have refused to watch the Family Chantal, The Twin Bimbos, or B90 after watching one episode, that’s the show with Ego Ed & Wllted Rose and Asshat Avery  etc etc they are all annoying and unwatchable on that show.

Agreed. I watched 3 episodes. Enough to know that David, Ash, Rose, and Big Ed in particular are all QUITE humorless, delusional, and unlikable.
