  1. A lot of people are commenting about the price of the wedding, who paid etc...On another board many Eastern Europeans chimed in that this wedding would cost less than $10-15K USD and was pretty standard fare, not excessively lavish for that culture; so wether Chuck paid or not it was pennies on dollar compared to the US (and Belgian) weddings he provided for his other daughters. Charlie is an idiot. Moldova is one of (if not) the poorest countries in Europe, I’m sure the exchange rate was amazing. I went to the USSR- and Moldova is one of the former Soviet countries most like the old USSR- on a school trip in 89’ (given stone ages ago) and literally came back with 95% of the spending $ my parents gave me. A full meal at a fancy restaurant was under $10 max. My finance is Iranian and he always raves about his older barber in Iran that cost him $5 USD equivalent, including tip...that was less than a year ago. People are super ignorant...the family Libby being up at the top of the list.
  2. While I appreciate the sentiment, and admittedly didn’t know the family for long, during that period Ari was the opposite of Smothered, more like borderline neglected. Mom Ari may be making up for lost time and past mistakes.
  3. I was really surprised by Ken’s stupidity with this. No, the worse thing that can happen is not being “called a name.” There is still violent gay bashing in many parts of the US, why he wouldn’t trust Armando who has lived there his whole life is beyond me. Maybe their and Hannah’s safety (not to mention her being harassed at school) is more important than holding hands right now? His whining about it reminded me of Nicole in Morocco, and that’s not a good look.
  4. Some people must be really desperate for a plain white tee with “Samoa”cheaply splayed across it. Wow. 😅
  5. I’m on same site and saw this all go down and felt terribly for you. I even posted in your defense. I got slammed on same forum for posting some pretty harmless info about Ariela (bc I use to work for them). Luckily though they were just a couple trolls and posts deleted. I didn’t see where they gave out your personal info, that is absurd and ridiculous. I’m so sorry, people are crazy!
  6. That store really confused me. $48 for a can of some meat? $41 for tee-shirts?
  7. I’m the former babysitter, unfortunately it’s accurate. ETA: for people that don’t feel like reading the posts on reddit. She had very troubled childhood. The only childhood of a second marriage with contentious divorce (And some shady issues... )The older half siblings (Different father, not Jewish) treated her terribly and she was always left out, being bullied, or crying. Parents worked a lot and were not home often. I’m not surprised she moved to Argentina as soon as she should and got married and kept going where normally she would have been in college in her circles. She also wasn’t a pampered princess, yes family had $ but had a lot of issues. Her paternal grandmother was her main support when I knew them, who she called up daily crying....She was always crying bc of her half siblings resenting her for the divorce (fueled by their father) I’m glad to see her Mom and her getting along now much better. It also amazing to see her her smiling so much!
  8. Nah. It used to be this way, but now Visas are required. My very clean cut/legal English relatives had to get visas this summer to come over for my Father’s funeral, and they were pretty concerned about getting them on time.
  9. Ashley had the #3, Thomas his "regular." My attention to detail for this show is shameful.
