I always think the exact opposite and she frequently looks super uncomfortable.

I'm guessing the women get professional hair and makeup done like they would in a scripted show

Probably clothing allowance or maybe the show has professional wardrobe people to find and provide clothing.

Like those equestrian outfits that Naomi and Chelsea wore, they probably didn't buy that on their own.

They don’t get a clothing allowance and any hair and makeup they get professionally done they have to pay for themselves and hire it except at the reunion.

Chelsea’s jacket was borrowed from Madison and we have seen them both wearing riding pants before.

How do you know?

It's in Bravo's interest to feature telegenic women on their shows, no?

Or maybe they're using soft filters to cover up wrinkles?

Because these sorts of things have been talked about a lot over all Bravo shows.

Cam and Eliza are really into makeup and do it all themselves and do a lot of IGstories about their skin routines and doing their makeup/

Yes to all of your post about Ashley....

I’ve come FF whenever she’s on screen....

so staged...she’s on a ‘loop’ of

”Hello chica”... “thank you for the opportunity”...”I just want a second chance” ...”I want peace”... ...and of course “thank you sooomuch”...”straight shooter” references....

then at the slightest resistance she raises her voice...

she is horrible at this reality show ‘come back’ tour....ugh

On another note… I cannot BELIEVE Shep and Craig are bringing the other “two of the Austen threesome” next week!!!

I’m so confused.  Can someone PLEASE tell me why Shep is so mad at Austen.  Does it have anything to do with Madison?  Does Shep like Madison?  Did he ever? What’s the problem with them?

I think there is a lot we don’t see even though Shep’s hatred of Madison is ridiculous. But even Craig has also said that this was the last time he was going to deal with the Madison drama and if there was anymore he was going refuse to listen and Austen replied that all of friends were at that point so I think there is a lot of Austen bitching about their relationship/being hurt over things she has done to him and prattling in about it. I mean we say it on the previous episode where he wouldn’t stop whining to strangers about his relationship with her I can only imagine what it’s like to have to hear about it on a regular basis.

The way he is treating Austen now is not dissimilar to how he dealt with Craig when he was procrastinating and partying instead of taking the bar and Shep just reached a limit.

So in other words, Shep is tired of hearing about other people going on and on about their problems, and he doesn’t want to hear about anything anymore.  It’s actually has nothing to do with him, but he doesn’t like what’s going on.  O.k. Thanks for the info.

As for the jacket, Chelsea said she borrowed the jacket from Madison and it was not a riding jacket.

Numerous people on Bravo shows have stated that they don't get a clothing allowance or have professional make up provided by Bravo.  I think the only exceptions for make up is for reunions and appearances on WWHL.

I think it’s more he is sick of Austen complaining about his relationship but refusing to break the cycle and he isn’t the only one but he is the one who takes it out on Madison for whatever reason.  I have at least gotten to the Craig level of refusing to discuss a friend’s fuck up relationship when they refuse to make changes or work on the problematic dynamics.

Fox hunting is a British import practiced in certain locations in the US, sorta like polo, I guess.  Both seem to be incredibly expensive hobbies!

I'm in the camp that Shep's protege, Austin, is growing up and Shep doesn't like it.  Shep completely asked to be outed in his argument with Madison.  If I recall he starts with his delight that Austin and Madison didn't run off into the sunset and then follows up that he would win any argument with her because he is more intelligent, logical, and a better deliberator (or something like that).

It really says something when Shep came off as the complete asshole this episode even with Ashley in it.  Let that sink in, Shep.

I watched the Ashley faux apology to Kathryn twice. I still don’t understand what she was trying to say.

One of the things I think is creepy about Ashley is, even as she is apologizing, she is minimizing what she did.  She apologized to Katherine for "Being judgmental" and "Assuming everyone is going to parent the way I think is best".

Hey, crazy person, you called her an egg donor and a terrible mother who shouldn't be allowed near her children.  You might need to go a little deeper.

  • Love 12

Not a fan of boring Eliza or her old-ass boyfriend, to be honest. They look like father and daughter to me. The faux hunt was also boring, and every time I hear “plantation” on this show, it makes my skin crawl.

I love Kathryn’s adventurous style! And it was hilarious when she said, “That’s me in 50 years,” she’s totally right. She was super mature in the talk with Ashley, which is great because Ashley’s temperament can switch on a dime.

OMG, Ashley has a roommate? I’m sure her roommate sleeps with her bedroom door locked.

We finally get to Kathryn’s age-appropriate boyfriend! I wonder if we’ll see him in the show.

I have no comments. This show has tanked. Once Austen & Naomie became regulars, it was over for me. Shep is like the picture of Dorian Gray. He is so ugly now it is a sin. What a waste. He should just donate what's left of his functioning organs to someone who really needs them & appreciates life.

I spent some time visiting the south and Cameran is pretty much like the women down there. Just a perfect face with a perfect nose and no real defining features. It made a northerner like me with distinct features & dressed in black, budget friendly clothing feel oddly inferior. I was more "at home" with the trailer folks, smoking our cigs together. Just the kindest & most hospitable folks, IMO.

This show squandered an opportunity to bring on a new, better quality Man when TRav left. So now all we have are these bozos. And it seems awkwardly scripted-I'm sure it's always been-but now that Kathryn is on her best behavior and out of control drunk Thomas is off the show, no one has their guard down to provide...anything real. Madison sitting in the restaurant listening to Austen graciously tell her that he wants to try and be all in made me gag. He is SO out of his league and if Madison is a 10, I'm probably a 5 and I'd have gotten up and told him to shove it right after he opened his unemployed muppet mouth. How is this pot-bellied, gossiping loser a catch? UGH! What a double standard. Anyway, it's obvious she just wants to be on tv - there's no other reason to sit through that BS. On a separate note-I appreciate that these ladies look great without being overly botoxed or whatever. But I'm not sure how "real" any of it is. My daughter and I were watching old reruns of The Hills this weekend. The young people are sweaty and shiny and their makeup is not perfect all the time! The employers like Kelly Cutrone have age-appropriate wrinkles and and really work. Their offices are messy and not swanky. It was interesting to see how the Reality TV aesthetic has changed in the last ten years.

Even when Shep is the wronged party, I still can't feel sorry for him and he still finds a way for me to . He's totally using the situation to push Austen away from Madison and I don't get his obsession with their relationship. He's an idiot. And I totally saw Austen try to blame Shep and Craig for ruining his relationship with Madison when he and Madison ruined it all on their own. It seems Shep and Craig have been vocal about not wanting Austen to rekindle things with Madison but they aren't the reason for the initial demise of their relationship.

And what does Madison even see in Austen anyway? He went from not being sure about the responsibility of her having a kid to all of a sudden so sure that he wants to get back with her and he's totally obsessed with her. If I were Madison, I would certainly feel a certain way about Austen's quick turnaround and question what his long term intentions are with me if he had yet to embrace the idea of being a more constant fixture in my child's life. Then again, she doesn't seem like much of a catch either so maybe they suit each other.

How many times will Ashley apologize? Given how many times she's apologized and then turned around and said something out of line and really shitty, I'm inclined to think her apology tour with Katheryn is more about her having a reason to get camera time.

While I think Madison is a horrid human, I have a feeling that Austen is the kind of guy that has 0 spine or backbone that is always telling his friends one thing and his girlfriend another.  When a dude's girlfriend and friends are so at odds, it's almost always that the person in the middle is the issue.

I'm guessing that Madison was asking Austen to spend more time with her, at home, not out on the town.  Austen was telling her he wanted that as well, then cancelling or changing plans on her and going out with his friends instead, then coming over drunk, etc.  THEN, he was probably telling his friends that she was calling/texting him to come over and spend time with her over them and that she didn't like him hanging out with them, getting mad that he wanted to spend time with his friends, etc.

He just seems like the kind of wishy washy douchebag that tries to please everyone and talks out both sides of his mouth, and tries to avoid having any kind of strong opinions unless his friends have voiced that opinion already.  It's gross to watch.

Yes, all of this.

I think Austen did exactly what you said here.  He wanted to have his cake and eat it too, whereas Madison has a child and can't have some guy coming in and out of her life, showing up in the middle of the night drunk and horny, after he told her he'd be there by 7 pm.

I'm not excusing Madison at all, because she's awful, but I get her point:  in or out, Austen.

There's no way this will last, as all it will take for unemployed beer entrepreneur wanna-be Austen to disappoint Madison again will be one Insta-like from someone cute.  Then it'll be wash, rinse, repeat.

I think Shep is just sick of hearing about it, and I don't blame him.

That's a great point...I think your theory is supported with the things we've heard Craig, in particular, confront Austen with. Craig's frustration with him seems almost entirely due to the things Austen tells him about his relationship and then the things Craig sees Austen do which seems opposite to the things he says. Not to say that Craig hasn't been over the top in the way he's addressed Austen about this I could totally see how Austen may use both sides to complain about the other but then when confronted, he tries to talk his way out of it by blaming his flightiness on either side. When he's talking with Madison, he paints himself as a victim of Shep and Craig's influence and when he's with Shep and Craig, he paints himself as a victim of Madison's charms. This past episode I believe he said that he wishes he didn't have the feelings he has for her...which comes across to me as him saying that he knows being with Madison is against his better judgment but his feelings are too strong to be sensible. The people we surround ourselves with likely have some kind of influence on us but that doesn't erase ownership of our own agency to make decisions for ourself, including the decision to surround ourselves with people whose lifestyles are counterproductive to your own personal goals. I think Craig and Austen are alike in that way - I don't think Shep is a great influence to be around but their desire to be friends with him and spend so much time with him is indicative of their own priorities and that's for them to be accountable for.

And if I didn’t loathe Shep enough already. You never drive around with your pet  unsecured in the car. They should be harnessed in. Would you carry your baby in your arms while driving? NO! In an accident the animal can go through the windshield, Ive also seen accidents where the car is wrecked, a door flies open and an unsecured pet jumps out in fear and gets killed by oncoming traffic.

Shep you are loathsome in simply more ways than I can count.

I've never been to a fox hunt, so can someone enlighten me--was it not totally weird for Naomie to be riding western?  She is like a terrible rider, so I guess it was a safety concern, but it probably wasn't safe for her to be on that fox hunt at all.

Hey, where was Whitney?

I wish Eliza would have come on this show like this--with Don, quiet person with great property who uses Bible verses to get up to mischief.  This is so much better than "I'm young, hot, and straight out of college!" weirdness.

There is something very wrong with Shep. What man turns his back on a friendship because of some pussy? I'm beginning to think Shep is in love with Austen.

Also, I didn't understand what Shep and Cam were talking about at the restaurant. He has some big secret information on Austen? Something about Austen liking to do it in the butt? Please, someone help me out here because if that's it then I am a step away from deleting this mess from my DVR.

Well I’m 40 so I could be wrong here but I thought he in rose petals asked if she’d take it in the ass and she complied.  So you might need to step away from this mess and delete it from your DVR.

Austen just isn’t sexy. Like I think he would be a horrible kisser.  As another poster said I too would get the charcuterie but that mussel he ate looked dripping in wonderfulness. Side note- for a landlocked person like I am Bonefish has some pretty solid mussels.

I felt this about Princess Kate this week photographed sailing but sometimes I am taken aback how attractive these people are. Cameran on the trailer with her big hat was insanely gorgeous. Chelsea in her hat with her dad at lunch- man these people are pretty.

As others have said better than I could- Ashley is terrible.  It’s like filming goes screech!  And it gets fake.  She’s a non entity we don’t care about.  Boot her Bravo!

Naomie can stay for me ONLY because I want more insight to how big of a dick Metul is.  I don’t like her but I don’t want her to be miserable and fear she makes bad guy choices.  There are many wonderful doctors and lawyers but the title alone shouldn’t sway her to delusion.

And I love how the aunt just took it in stride and joked along with her! Some people just get more and more fun as they get older.

Sober Craig can decipher complex human emotions and offer wisdom and guidance (but very few will listen). He really nailed everything about Austen´s situation, down to the littlest detail. He is such a wonderful personality, I know he has flaws but there really is no-one like him on tv.

I really enjoy this season, I think there´s always lots of things happening, the cast is entertaining (minus the Madisin and Austen mess, especially that video). I wish there was a bit more of Patricia though.

I can´t believe the Eliza who was awful in the first episode (and during past appearances) is this same nice girl who has turned out so well.

It was weird to me that she was riding western too. First there are jumps in fox hunting. The ones I saw on the show were puny compared to the ones I’ve encountered on a hunt. They were about 2’6”. Usually hunters jump 3’6”. The horn on the western saddle is in the way of doing a half seat (jumping position over a fence). If not done correctly it could push into the abdomen and cause discomfort or pain. I also agree that hunting is not for the maiden rider. It goes at a face pace encountering jumps and obstacles like perhaps a stream or steep downhill grade. The girls who chose not to participate probably made the right decision to ride the hay wagon instead. It being cold was a somewhat lame excuse because they could see the weather before going and wear appropriate gear (long underwear).
