Iris definitely overreacted, and by doing so was a poor host and embarrassed Keith.

This has to be the least appealing and/or sexy group of couples I've seen a good while.

It's not just because of the actual coupling. E is embarrassing when trying to he sexy. Deonna and Iris are almost anti sexual. Amber is the only one that can pull it off but she's sexy against a piece a driftwood.

Greg and Keith seem to be the only people actually ready and mature enough to be married right now. 

With Iris and the sexual questions. You can be able to answer sexual questions without having sex. Like how would you like sex initiated? Talk about how you think you would like it. What type of person are you. Romantic, analytical, aggressive?

Has she never envisioned sex before. Never seen porn (I'm sure she hasn't), tried learn about sex. Before I ever had sex I tried learn a lot about it. Learn from conversations with others, etc.

It pained me to watch how desperate Amber is- Matt didn't even give an excuse as to why he stayed out all night/day and didn't call, and Amber was all ready to jump his bones right then. It's pathetic and makes me cringe when she gushes over him. It is also clear that Matt did not go on this show to find a wife.

Beth and Jamie need to end this already. They're both stubborn in their own ways and they are always going to have conflict. Maybe Jamie should have been matched with Amber instead, since they both want to have sex all the time.

Iris is getting tiring with the whole "I'm a virgin" thing on repeat.

So far the only couple who's segments I actually like watching are Deonna and Greg.

Right! Think about movies - regular movies, not porn - that have sex scenes in them. Which ones turn her on? Any sex scenes in books she's read that got her going? What turned her on about them? Does she talk to her friends about sex? Has she ever imagined what it would be like to have sex?

Also, didn't she say she was "technically" a virgin? I took that to mean that she had done other physical stuff with guys. How did that start? How was that initiated?

Keith is right that she comes across as really immature when it comes to sex - she comes across like she's afraid of sex. I can't speak to this personally, but I assume people who abstain from sex into their 20s and beyond still have sex drives. My best friend lost her virginity at 24 and I KNOW she found stuff erotic, sexy, etc. in the intervening years. Does anything turn Iris on? She comes across as someone who doesn't know herself sexually at all - and you can know what turns you on without having intercourse. That's what happens to most of us when we come of age, and then eventually we become sexually active.

Where to start, where to start.......

I don't know what to make about Iris - I can't decide if she's too uptight for sex, uncomfortable about discussing it in front of cameras, or just waiting until after decision day. Either way, we now know Iris will never be accusing Keith of just doing Caucasian Sex. I agree with whoever said that it was insensitive to ask her about sex positions when they know she has no opinion........Despite the sex stuff, I still like them. I actually got teary when they showed his Grandma at their wedding. My grandma died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving last year, so maybe that's why......

I think Deonna and Gregg are doing great. I really think they are going to make it. She's not the warmest, but I think she's trying. The 10 compliments was sweet.........

Jamie and Beth need to call it a day. Just because Dr. Pepper says be kind, I don't think that cures them automatically. They both go for the jugular when angry. This. I've been fooled these 8 weeks. I thought Iris and Keith were close and growing closer--at the wedding, they both said they were attracted to each other, and they're almost always talking and joking. And Iris is always touching Keith. She puts her hand on his leg, they sit on the couch with their legs over one another, and Iris loves to play in Keith's hair. I thought they were moving toward real intimacy. 

But Iris doesn't even want to talk to Keith about sex. It's like she can't even admit to herself or other people that she has sexual thoughts. And that seems weird to me. Does she think it's wrong to imagine having sex with your husband? Even if you're not ready to have sex with your partner yet, wouldn't you think about what it's like to have sex with that person? And if you like your partner, why wouldn't you want to at least talk about sex and where your feelings are with that person? Why did Keith talking about sex make Iris so uncomfortable and eventually make her cry? 

And even though they talk a lot--well, Iris talks a lot--they don't really talk about things of substance. At least not on camera. We heard Keith share things about his grandmother's health, but we don't hear the two of them having discussions about their childhoods, their jobs working with children, or their hopes and dreams for the future. Even their likes and dislikes. I know that Iris likes drawer liners and lemonade, and she doesn't like shoes inside the house or friends inside the refrigerator. But what about deeper likes and dislikes? What does she like from a romantic partner? What does he like? 

In fact, none of these couples have had many impactful conversations. Ironically, Jamie and Beth have probably had the most vulnerable and meaningful conversations out of the entire bunch. Too bad their deep conversations inevitably end with yelling and cursing.

I think this season is just boring. So sick of the toxic fights between Big Red and Jamie. She is just disgusting to me - crude and vulgar. And, yes, she wanted to run home to Daddy's open arms and have him come back to the apt. and defend her honor. 

Amber is too pathetic for words. (While I don't like it when people refer to past seasons since I don't know any of those people), Amber is more desperate for love than even Kate was, I think. And, absolutely, Matt is out the door. Really? He leaves his wedding ring in a drawer at home before he goes to work out? Why not just take it off at the gym and then put it back on?

Iris and her virgin identity is beyond annoying. And since Keith has already said that he is NOT going to have sex with her before D-Day, he is just going to go with the flow, and I am pretty sure he will be ready for that divorce. I wonder if Iris will be mortified at having to get a divorce?

I do think that Deonna and Greg are having discussions off camera, and I am enjoying seeing her a little more relaxed. She is so pretty when she smiles. The every other month scheduled sex isn't going to work. I would have thought that once they had sex, she would be ready to move on to a real physical relationship with Greg. If not, she may lose him, as she goes right back to the cold, raised eyebrow, judgmental, stand-offish woman we met at her wedding.

I think that all of the fake drama editing seems worse this year. It is ruining the show for me. Maybe because the couples are so boring. The only real drama is Jamie/Big Red and they are so annoying to watch, I fast forward them. I do like the dogs, though. I missed seeing Sandy. And Big Red's dogs absolutely prefer Jamie's company!

So, a couple of things...When Amber was crying about finding Matt's ring in his drawer, I noticed that she didn't have her ring on; maybe he really did take it off before working out and just forgot to put it back on (this is weird that Amber has me defended Matt).  I doubt Matt just "forgot" to put his ring back on, but found it ironic that she was complaining about his ring while not wearing her own.

Oh, and Iris is just delusional.  In a confessional, she was CRYING about how she doesn't want to always talk about her virginity, and yet that is exactly what she does.  At this point I'm convinced that her virginity has nothing to do with religious beliefs as the Bible has plenty to say about relationships between husbands and wives.  Part of being married is being intimate.  Yet, she drapes herself over Keith in a provocative manner.  I think she wants to feel like she is in control and withholding sex is a part of that.  She has already admitted to other types of sexual intimacy-just not vaginal intercourse, so her acting shocked (!) about sex is just a bit too much.  And, her virginity is not a "prize" that someone has to win.

Loved that Elizabeth wanted to storm out and take her dogs home but that the dogs weren't having any of that.  I also don't trust anything either of them says.  She said that she "felt like" she had a UTI, not that she did and I also noticed she didn't say anything about going to a doctor.  After all, I'm sure that her father made sure she got health insurance since she's an "account executive" for his company...

Also loved seeing Dr. Pepper agitated with some of them.

Yep about Matt. I also want Pepper to give Amber some tools to stop being such a pushover. All Matt had to do was keep quiet, not say anything totally offensive and give her "affection".  It's so sad that's all it took for her to basically feel okay and tell Dr. Pepper he made amends. She reminds me of all the female friends who wake you up in the middle of the night with their drama and get you worked up but, once the source of their addiction turns any attention their way, they are over it and you are pissed and missed your good sleep for nothing.

Iris makes me mad. Again, there are Christian centered books on marriage prep and intimacy for those who want to abstain. She was not kidnapped in the middle of service and matched with Keith. She knew a marriage was coming and did zip all to get started gaining comfort with intimacy related topics. 

I know people who waited and there is a difference between "I am ready to go but, this is a sacrifice I am making to show my love for Jesus and start our marriage with less baggage." and "I have little or no info to share about what pleases me or what I am curious about trying so, if you love me you have to try to read my mind and there is little chance I have any idea what you might like either."

I swear the pets are at least as entertaining to me as the couples. Mr. red12 and I found it interesting that as Elizabeth was ranting about Jamie "dragging" her dogs and hinting at abusiveness, they were stretching and draped all over HIM and looking unconcerned as their "momma" was clearly upset. In addition, she didn't seem to give any indication that she was taking the dogs with her on her threatened exit back to her own apartment.

I am also convinced Deonna's dog is way more into Greg than Deonna will ever be.

Not only were Beth's dogs lying on Jamie's lap during her tirade, but they were staring at her like she was crazy. They like Jamie's calm demeanor.  But I'm not saying Jamie is always right. He says some of the cruelest, rudest crap to Elizabeth using a calm, almost melodic voice. It would be easy for the dogs to think he's being nice to her.

Is it? I don't have much to compare. Before this season, I'd watched the first few episodes of season 1, and I watched all of season 6 (with Jephte, Shawniese, Jon and Molly, etc). Season 6 had a few boring episodes. In fact, there were many weeks I was more entertained by the Bride and Gloom podcast than I was by the actual episode.

I'm intrigued by all of the personalities this season and like to see the spouses try to get to know each other better (or not, right Matt?). 

What makes a season good? My hairstylist said the Philadelphia season was drama-filled and exciting, but it sounds like there were a lot of toxic relationships and broken hearts that season. I don't think I would've enjoyed it.

Iris needs a sex therapist to help her say goodbye to Iris the Virgin and hello to Iris the Woman.  I really don't understand why a woman who is so tied to her identity as a virgin would put herself on a reality show where she marries a stranger.  She's like someone who's afraid to jump into the deep end of the pool standing at the edge of the diving board, looking down into the water . . . .  She has her swimsuit on, her swim cap, nose plugs in place - all she needs to do is JUMP! (And the handsome lifeguard is there to catch her!)

This is a classic passive aggressive move that guys do when they want an exit - they stop giving attention, act douchey, and hope the woman will break up with them. If Matt was attracted to Amber ( which he is not ) he would not have pulled such a move. And Amber is an idiot for not realizing this.

I know - I wished she had left just to see about that.  It seemed to me that after she accused Jamie of abusing them she was going to leave them with him while she flounced out. Between the two of them we have heard that they couldn't have sex on the honeymoon because she was having her period, they love sexy times, they have sex constantly and it's fabulous, he's a sex maniac, he's boring in bed, they've had sex 4-5 times, she fees like she's getting a UTI from all the sex they've been having.  They need to get their stories straight!

Every time Matt's full body pops up on camera I am surprised to see his artificial leg!  Then I realize anew that it's just that hideous tattoo 😄

I had not thought of this as the two issues being connected!
