Perhaps she was conceived in a Toyota Avalon.

Honestly, that’s kinda why I asked, because Mykelti was talking about about how much she loved her old car, an Avalon, after she bought her new truck a couple of years ago.  So I was kinda wondering if they named the baby after her car, I didn’t think about the conceiving part 😳

Did Mykelti say how she and Tony chose Avalon’s name?

From In Touch:

https://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/sister-wives-mykelti-brown-reveals-baby-no-1-name-avalon-marie/

The expectant TLC personality, 24, said she is planning to call her daughter Avalon Marie after having her heart set on that name for years.

“This is the name I’ve wanted since I was 16 for my first girl,” she dished in a video via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 10. “But conveniently, Tony’s mother’s name is Maria. So now, it looks like there’s a meaning.”

There’s also some history to the moniker she chose — quite literally. “Avalon, so she’s from King Arthur and the round table,” Mykelti explained. “That’s where Avalon is from originally. But funny coincidence, I liked the name Avalon before I got my first car which ended up being a Toyota Avalon. Isn’t that kind of funny?”

Wonder why they changed her middle name from Marie to Asa? Is Asa a family name?

I wondered about this too.  Maybe Christine or one of the other "moms" got butt hurt that Tony's mom was being "honored".  Although it seemed like his mom having a similar name was kind of an happy coincidence that made her feel better about the name for some reason?  Maybe she was just never that crazy about Marie as a middle name?

I’m not a fan but she looks SO much better with her natural hair color.

Most people do look better with their natural hair color.  There are exceptions of course, but by and large, Mother Nature knows best and has carefully selected skin and eye color to blend with the color you were born with.  In my younger days, I too had fun with different hair colors, but nothing radically different from my own natural.

I am well into my 80s now and am really enjoying the silvery white I now have.  No worries about roots showing any longer.  There is nothing more pathetic than to see women my age with jet black or carrot red hair.  They are not fooling anyone and it's so harsh.

Mykelti looks very happy. I wish she would keep her natural hair color. I think motherhood agrees with her, and I suspect she will truly enjoy it, unlike Madison who just seems overwhelmed (even before her special needs second child came along).

ETA she is Christine's daughter, after all. Her mother seemed to enjoy all the children she raised. Unlike Madison's mom who we know was never much interested in being a mother.

Does any one else think about looking up the misspelled hashtags that Mykleti always has to see how many other people misspelled it as well - or is that just me?

OK.  I just did.  "Mom Bumming" did it for me, even though it's not a hashtag  It had to be "bunning," since the post is about her hair.  But she writes enough about her infrequent bathing, that "bumming" could be considered.

"Mom Bum" and "Bum Mom" and "Bumming Mom" all lead to porn sites.

Knowing that now is more shameful to me than admitting that I looked up her dumb hashtags.  It also makes her other hashtags sound obscene.  #AskingMyWhy #BrainBleach #Don'tThinkAboutTacos

I don't do Twitter, or rilly any social media, so I appreciate you "took one for the team."

Mykelti has never been known for correct spelling.  She must not understand hashtags either.  I hope her little Avalon will be smarter than she is.

Oh, I was only thinking about the #happymon at the end of her post, which I assumed was supposed to be #happymom! You went #aboveandbeyond (also probably porn) and I thank you for your service to our snark.

I had twins and found time to shower daily. Most days I got my hair fixed a bit and mascara applied. I don’t understand these moms saying no time to shower. Babies nap often, babies can be placed in baby devices and cribs for 15-25 minutes without harm. I think it’s kind of dumb for new moms to say this stuff. Makes me think they are unorganized and not capable of creating a routine for themselves and baby.

I know of no friends or relatives who died because their mothers did not have them under direct supervision 24/7 and this was in the pre-baby monitor days.  We all managed to survive quite nicely without helicopter parents and in rooms with (gasp!) walls before the idea of "open concept" so that "we can see the children at all times".

And it's not like she has a job.

Or put the baby in the pack and play/sleeper and push it in front of the bathroom door and peek out of the shower to check on baby.  Or put in the car seat and take it into the bathroom.  Unless you are taking a long bath baby will be fine.

Mom smells bad and dad smells even worse is what the baby would say!

Not washing LONG hair in a week... her hair stinks.

Not to defend Mykelti because she married FT and could thus very well be dirty, but I too wash my hair about once a week. I have thick curly hair, similar to hers, and since I started following the Curly Girl method, my hair is so much happier and healthier now that I don’t wash it as much. It doesn’t stink, I promise! The key is a good-quality shower cap so I can still shower.

Same. I wash my hair once a week. It’s thick, long and occasionally highlighted. Washing it every day only further damages and dries it out. When I do wash it, it’s with MoroccanOil shampoo and Olaplex treatment (when you can only afford to wash it once a week 😜). Also, it takes SO much time—no way could I wash it every day.

Dry shampoo and updos are my best friend, especially in summer. It doesn’t “smell”, mainly due to dry shampoo (but I know what people are referring to, I’ve smelled it on many homeless patients we treated).

I don’t like the photo of the dog above the baby that’s upthread.  Dogs should never be above the baby...they should always be on a lower level than the baby.  There are psychological and physical reasons for this.  You can never be certain a dog will not bite a baby, no matter how well you think you know the dog.  In my community there have been two cases of dogs killing 2 children, one a baby, within the last couple of months.  There were photos online of the deceased baby taken with the dog involved very similar to one upthread of Mykelti’s baby.  It’s so preventable.
