Kevin didn’t drive Beth to the funeral/memorial service. I am really hoping he escaped and found another job.

Yeah, the camera work in that scene was weird. They kept cutting to shots of just the not-Kevin-driver, seemingly for no reason. He didn't say anything, Bethenny didn't really interact with him. Did one of the producers think he was cute? I was wondering if he later spilled some dirt he heard in that ride.

As someone who works in medicine, I can attest a shockingly large number of doctors' offices and hospitals still use faxes. Even with non-confidential information, I'll offer to email it, and quite a few prefer that I fax it over. It drives me crazy, but it's a reality.

Yup, there are various reasons for this.  Some may not have access to internet.  Yeah, believe it or not, that does happen in this day & age, Bethenny.  And mocking people for that is Bethenny in her usual cruel & thoughtless mindset.  Did Bethenny forget her momentary trip outside her rich-people-bubble-world to PR already?

Carole was absolutely right about Bethenny.  She lives in her tiny, tiny world & clearly she very, very rarely ventures out of it -- ONLY mixing with rich people at fancy parties & events, & limo-ing everywhere.

Her mocking of faxes merely confirmed to me just how out of touch she really is.  Funny that she wanted to convey the exact opposite -- and failed miserably.  I've noticed how she seems so insistent on portraying to us (and the others in the cast) how tech savvy she supposedly is.  Sure, Bethenny, sure.  Anyhoo, in a few short years when Brynn is a teen, she'll be howling at Bethenny's tech "knowledge" -- as ALL teens do to anyone over 40.  Now, that I'd like to watch!

Don’t get me wrong, because I love Bethenny no matter what, but I don’t understand why she waited until Bobby died to go.  He would have been thrilled to see her come to him while he was alive.  It would have given him peace to see Jill with Bethenny again.  Why didn’t she go?

Good grief - another segment on the eggs and wedding dresses.  No one cares, Tinsley.

And the sobbing over the eggs.  I’m close to turning on The Middle reruns.

I care! :)  I thought it was hilarious. Tinsley is another one who never has to manufacture drama.  She brings it naturally.  I like her mum, too.

This wasn't as good an episode as I thought it would be.     I never cared much for Jill but I sympathize with her for losing Bobby.   He was a nice man and they had a good marriage.   RIP Bobby Zarin

I was glad that Bethenny went to the funeral and took Bryn to sit Shiva with Jill.     It was the right thing to do.    IMO Bethenny chartered a plane to get back New York quickly.   Bobby died on Saturday.   Chances are Bethenny didn't find out until Sunday and the funeral was Monday.  It was the height of the ski season, commercial flights are crowded, likely booked and she can afford it.

Tinsley and her mother should be embarrassed.  They were so ridiculous and OTT that they're not worth discussing.

The Con Gym and mug shots Carole organized were a real dig at LuAnn.   I'll admit LuAnn can be insufferable but Carole clearly enjoyed insulting LuAnn way too much.   She's not above kicking someone when they're down.

I was so freaking bored out of my skull during the "jump ship" scene (which surely Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum must have concocted between themselves to have some "story line") that the only thing I could focus on was the unraveling seam/hole under Mother of Tinsley's left arm.

Speaking of clothing, gotta side with Carole on this one....that frock LuAnn was sporting in court was ghastly.  I'm going to assume she was drunk when she chose it from some dark recess of her closet circa 1984.

And once again speaking of clothing, Carole's jeans were jack hideous.  However, unlike The Countess, at least she was just kicking it in her apartment and not out on the town with her dreadful fashion choice.

I don't think we've seen the last of Jill on this franchise.  I'm looking for her to perhaps come back next season as a "friend of" to see how it goes over.

That said, aside from the Bobby footage, this episode was pretty yawn inducing...but next week's episode looks like it has the potential to pack a proverbial punch.

Me too.  It was refreshing to laugh at those two who are like a comedy team.  Who wants to continue seeing Carole and Bethenny battle it out over nonsense.  No more of them, please, meaning Carole and  Bethenny’s bullshit.

Maybe she didn't really know how bad he was - people can sometimes get so wrapped up in their own drama that they don't realize what's going on with friends, let alone long-time ago ex-friends. I don't think she would intentionally not go visit him. It's very unfortunate if she didn't get a chance to see him and now regrets it - if anything we can learn from that to not take things for granted. Unless she shares differently - I'm going with the "she just didn't realize how bad he was" excuse. It's kind of like when JZ and BF fell apart with the "get a hobby" silliness. BF had no clue how bad Bobby was and I believe that - especially given Jill's tendencies to theatrics and she didn't get theatrical with BF about how Bobby was until after their fallout. Remember JZ saying Bobby's throat was cut from ear to ear - yet on screen we saw no evidence of a scar. By looking at him back then you'd have no clue he was having medical problems. It's all just sad and unfortunate - because I do believe Bethenny genuinely cared for Bobby, but as can happen with fractured friendships - she probably felt it wasn't appropriate to approach Bobby years ago given her rift with JZ, and both her and JZ were living their lives independent of each other. Anywho.... time will tell if this means a JZ return to RHONY full time, friend of, or not at all.

She didn’t know? Ramona knew Dorinda, and  Luanne (her new best friend) knew hell Sonja knew she talks to these people. It’s not possible NONE of these ladies did not tell her. They all ran to see him before he died because they knew he was dying. He was sent to hospice. everyone who talks to her knew. she knew I’m sorry I’m cant believe the she didn’t know how bad he was.

It's not like she hangs with Ramona and Dorinda outside of filming. Maybe she didn't know. Maybe she did and still didn't feel it was appropriate given all the time that has past. Her and Jill were friends for what - 2 years before the rift? And it's been 8 years since they were on the show together.  I'm sure Dorinda, Ramona, and Jill were all still in contact over the years since Jill left the show.  Just my opinion of course.

I don’t believe that.  knowing each of these ladies and their history and them knowing Bethany’s history with Bobby they reached out there is no way not one of these ladies didn’t let her know hell I’d bet my life at least Dorinda reached out

Yes once word that he was at hospice (in home hospice)Dorinda Luann and Romana ran to see him. He didn’t die the next day this death was drawn out she had ample time had she so chose to go see him she chose not too. This balling that she loved him sooo much just rings hollow when she couldn’t even bother to see him before he died (she was busy on vacation)

Even though I had heard of his death ages ago I was still saddened to see this played out on RH. He was a class act.

Didn't Jill make a comment about shot glasses for a gift bag item for the funeral? This is a hard loss for Jill.

I cringed when I heard Dale say that she too might want to try on some dresses...I’m glad that we didn’t have to witness that!

I have misophonia so even watching Carole eating popcorn (with her mouth open) on tv got to me. I feel for the person on the other end of the phone who had to listen to that rudeness. Also when she went to the sauna and asked Tinsley if she caught a peek at her privates (Tins answered yes) you’d think she would have faced the other way. Not put her knees up and continually flashed. Who wears a full face of makeup into a sauna? Carole probably looked like she was melting after 10 minutes.

Most everything else that I thought has been said by fellow posters so I’ll stop now.

Sorry to hear about your beloved dog @ButterQueen

My condolences on the loss of your husband @sasha206

I'm glad the women went to see him and yes, it would have been good if Bethenny had gone as well.    However,  I lost my mother two months ago and watched as family and friends reached out and reacted to her passing. Everyone reacts differently.  Some people are extremely uncomfortable with terminal illness and death.    I'm not anyone's judge and jury so I'll refrain from passing judgment.

Bobby Z. seemed like a kind, caring and compassionate man, but let’s not forget Jill is awful.  I am sorry for her loss but, I can absolutely see her saying the same kind of narcissistic, thoughtless comment that B did in the same situation.  “*I* am alone too.”

Would Jill have doubled down and made the shiva about herself (and the fact she was right) too, I’m not saying no.

Jill and Bethany are cut from the same cloth.

I can get past the silly gift bag comment, and even the (Waaah) "I'm alone, too".

But this is a whole nother level of self importance:

“During the funeral, they kept saying that Bobby would never tell Jill no,” Frankel said on Wednesday’s episode. “So it’s so ironic that the one time Bobby’s ever told her no was when she told him to fix it with me. And Bobby said, ‘No, you’re going to have to learn the lesson on your own. You were wrong.’ But in the end, Bobby did fix it. Because it was his funeral.”

Yes, Bethenny, Bobby fixed it. SMH.

The wedding dresses she was trying on were meant for a younger woman, no?

As cringeworthy as it was, I'd rather watch Tins try on wedding dresses than watch Frankel try to snatch the widow's veil off Jill Zarin's head.

~The Password clue this episode is "Humbled" (the same word Bethenny used for both Luann and Jill  -- psst, Ramona? Want to know what Bethenny's idea of hardcore porn is? No water beds involved:  just Dennis whispering "They've all been HUMBLED!!!!!!" and Skinnygirl explodes like a rocket).

This... all of this. The hypocrisy on display this ep was so glaring, so neon in its garishness, that I will punch the TV if Satan Andy doesn't mention it during the reunion. I've never seen a woman without an ounce of humility profess, over and over again, how much humbling every other woman around her needs.

I'd like to quote B herself here, on the St. John boat back in season 3 when she set Krazy KKB straight: "Everyone's seeing it, and it's you. So stop. The f*&%$ing. Bull$%!@."

Oh yeah, btw, Tins is acting like a 12-year-old, but that's her personality. Scott knows this. He seems pretty smart. It sounds like they've discussed marriage, and whether they actually get engaged or not after her numerous flailing displays of arrested development, I support Tins wearing any freaking dress she wants if she does marry him.

Normally I hate when people dismiss women disliking other women as jealousy, but, seriously, the way homely scarecrow Carole always attacks Luann's style and appearance just screams of jealousy.

The dress Luann had on when she was arrested was the same one she wore to Sonja's Madhatter tea party - this was when Tinsley was first introduced to the other ladies and where Carole told Ramona how she had the most creds in politics

Someone made fun of Luann dress then - it might have been Carole.

I'd sooner wear Luann's dress than Carole's tattoo unitard

Tinsley appears, to me anyway, to be one of the least maternal women on this show.  Even when her mom brings her "beloved" dog to Tins' apartment, she lets out a little squeal (in that special cutesy 40 something year old way of hers), gives it a hug and then immediately drops it on the floor so "Mommy" can go downstairs to get a cocktail.

She did cuddle it for a minute...meanwhile, Sonja is throwing Marley everywhere.

Finally, Jill...sad she lost Bobby. The clips they showed of the two them were mostly of Bobby presenting her with expensive gifts or of Jill suggesting gifts he could give her. Ugh.

This wasn't so much a tribute to BZ as it was a vehicle for Bethenny & Jill to interact.  A tribute, imo, would have been to put up a photo of him at the close of the episode, with the usual "In Memorium" copy.   The histrionics at the steps of the synagogue were classic Bravo fluff.

Oh, to be a fly on Dennis's wall when he saw his "soulmate" tearfully profess that she ain't got nobody.

No he’s still driving. If she had a scheduled out of town stay he probably had the week off. So she would use a service.

How long did you work for Beth, btw? (If I'm confusing you with another poster (from TWoP), then never mind.)

It would have given him peace to see Jill with Bethenny again.  Why didn’t she go?

Because she doesn’t care about others feelings only hers

...and because Bravo's cameras wouldn't be around to film it.

Okay, the SK jeans look good on Sonja & Bethenny.  I now want to try on a pair.  OTOH, that 1st dress that Tinsley tried on and loved so much was awful.  Was Carol really eating popcorn after just petting her cat and not washing her hands. Eeww! Speaking of jeans, she had on a pair in a style I never saw before.  It looked like they took the look of a cuffed jean leg and attached the cuff look all the way up the leg.  Andplusalso, what happened to Carol's butt?  She no longer has one!  Wasn't her butt her pride and glory in her 1st (2nd ?) season?

I liked the SK pants too - but they are jeggings not jeans.

As for Carole's pants - I think she pulled them from the Punky Brewster collection

OMG With the gift bag comment....she didn't mean anything by it, it's two people who haven't talked to each other in a long time, two people who have shared a deep friendship at one point, and two people who probably were always into the swag bag back then.  It was a joke.  As B was walking back to her car, JZ even said "you're so funny".

I'm Italian....they say Jews and Italians are the same but we have better food.  Our wakes and memorials are NOT somber, we laugh, we joke, we catch up, we tell funny stories about the deceased (right in front of the open casket).  I wouldn't read too much into B's comment, its a regional/ethnic thing.....and actually, its not even a thing.

Thanks for the gift bag thing.  I was really confused about it but this makes sense.

Did Bobby have to be buried in 24hrs?

I'll throw Beth a bone on the jet rental and some of her other comments. I think in her clumsy way she wasn't bragging, but it was to show the effort she made to be there.

if Jill was known for or liked gift bags - I think Beth bringing it was bonding/private joke between them  and it was being a nice friend giving her shit which I think Jill appreciated.

And for being alone w/o a mate, I think Beth was trying to commiserate   on what Jill was feeling about being alone.

No death isn't the same as divorce but loss is loss and both are mourned.

The gift bag comment was because Jill was known for her Zarin gift bags, I'll give Bethenny a pass on that but the "I'm alone" comment, No. You don't say that to someone who's spouse just died, you just don't. Bethenny doesn't have any social manners/graces at all.

Bobby's illness was reported on all the time, including that he was home on hospice care, there is no way Bethenny didn't know how bad he was. Bethenny digs her heels in so hard at times, it hurts her in the long run, this is one of those times IMO. Yes, Bethenny loved Bobby but she hated Jill more.

Just an FYI, I had my neck rebuilt, 4 discs removed/replaced and my scar (in the front of my neck) isn't very visible, so if the surgeon is good at their job, the scar shouldn't be easily noticed.

I give Bethenney a pass for everything she said to Jill.  Funeral small talk is the worst. And bringing Brynn to sit shiva probably meant a lot to Jill right then.

The more I think about it, it does seem like Bethenny is at her worst (with the rapid-fire verbal vomit), when she's nervous or in an awkward moment.  Yes, people need comic relief, but if I truly hadn't seen her in more than five years, I would be hesitant to fall back on humor as a crutch.  Anyway, you're right about shiva.  That was a good thing to do.

If you had asked me, five minutes before the episode aired, when all that stuff went down between Bethenny and Jill, I would have said, "Oh, I don't know, maybe three years ago?"  I almost fell over when B. mentioned that it happened in 2010.  Of course, if I stop and think about all the HWs we've had since then...   Aviva, Heather, Carole, Kristen, Dorinda, Jules, Tinsley...   my guess of three years makes absolutely no sense.  I just can't believe eight years have flown by.

It really is true what they say:  For the young, the days go fast and the years go slow; for the old, the days go slow and the years go fast.  (I'm feeling old.)

I'm sure Bethenny knew about Bobby but I'm not in a position to judge so I'll just repost what I said earlier.

She’s very forgettable, but don’t forget Cindy, the bedazzler.

The gift bag comment was because Jill was known for her Zarin gift bags, I'll give Bethenny a pass on that but the "I'm alone" comment, No. You don't say that to someone who's spouse just died, you just don't. Bethenny doesn't have any social manners/graces at all.

Bethenny is a "right" fighter, she has to be "right" to the point of being unhappy and missing out on personal connections, which is why she never went to see Bobby before he died.

Just an FYI, I had my neck rebuilt, 4 discs removed/replaced and my scar (in the front of my neck) isn't very visible, so if the surgeon is good at their job, the scar shouldn't be easily noticed.

Oh wow .. four discs.  Are you pain free now?  I had four fusions in the lower back.  Still not pain free.

Oh.  A btw.  Why wasn't Sonja at Bobby's funeral or memorial?  She joined the cast in season three when Jill was still a member of the cast.

Gstaad?  Bali?  Scrubbing undies in the bidet?

I care! :)  I thought it was hilarious. Tinsley is another one who never has to manufacture drama.  She brings it naturally.  I like her mum, too.

Drama?  Mmmm, I'd call it more like lunacy or weirdness, or maybe just plain crazy, rather than being dramatic.  Along the same lines as Sonja, but ramped up a few notches.  I get the impression Tinz is permanently stuck (in her head) in 2003, when she was the It Girl of NYC.  Similar to the way Sonja seems so often to be stuck in her head in 1995, when she was married to Old Man Morgan & was living the high life.

There is something sorta gripping & watchable about Tinz's lunacy.  I can so see her morphing into Baby Jane or Little Edie in just a few short years.  Her mom OTOH seems attractive & rather averagely normal.  Or am I wrong about mom?

Yes, my neck is better but the rest of my joints are screaming (arthritis, bad arthritis at that)! Aging is not for the weak! LOL Find a good acupuncturist, I did and it helped me heal faster and better than my surgeon thought possible!

That's something Bravo hasn't really done on camera (except cupping/Shannon/OC) yet! I would love to see these women get acupuncture!

Her mom feeds into Tinsley's little girl act, she loves it because she can control her. LOL

I was thinking the same thing about her mom.  She looks fantastic for her age -- well, really any age.  And I was looking at her jewelry.  Very, very nice.  But wow, she sure was aiming non-stop digs at Tinz on cam.  I was thinking they were both giving off a Big Edie/Little Edie vibe.  Wonder if that's the future of those 2.

When someone is at the end of a terminal illness they and their families are not always comfortable with visitors. I think Bobby may have gone downhill very quickly, and may not have even been alert and awake once he went home with Hospice care. Hopefully Bethenny reached out to Jill and Bobby off camera with a heartfelt message.

Poor Bobby, cancer sucks. If Jill absorbed some of his kind and generous nature for real I would happily enjoy her return to RHONY.

The women from Grey Gardens were mother and daughter, which makes your comparison even more apropos.

Great-aunt and first cousin once removed to Carole's late husband too.

As someone who lost my husband Dec 2016 at age 52 (four year battle with colon cancer) I agree.   It was great when our friends, our families,  were able to make us laugh during hospice, after he passed.  You need a little levity during that time.  And that type of teasing was the hallmark of their relationship.  I don't fault Beth for that although I do think she's a narcissist who typically makes everything about herself.

Am I the only one who wishes that Beth and Jill could repair their relationship?  Although early on it seemed to me it was all Jill that tanked it, I wonder now that I have watched Bethenny all full of herself over the years now that she's had success.  I bet they are both at fault for its demise.    Both have similar qualities -- can be underhanded, mean-spiriited.  But they also can have a great heart and can be very funny.

Like Ramona said, life is too short to hang onto resentments.

Nope. I never thought I'd say it, but I'd be happy to see them rebuild their friendship.

Fights are very rarely 100% one sided. I'll always put the bulk of it on Jill, but Bethenny made her contribution too.

If they've both matured and humbled themselves a bit, maybe they could pick up where they left off.

Yes he was.  I don’t know any man that would be so openly loyal.  Usually, they would clam up.  What was it with Jill that he was so enamoured?

Now THAT I don't know. But I do think that people can be different depending on the relationship. I've known people who were horrible romantic partners, but great parents. Jill was a shitty friend sometimes, but maybe she was a really great wife.

I had forgotten about that scene.  I think I wanted to wipe it from memory.  I was horrified.  I hated every bit of it and failed to see how that could be fun.  Let's ask every incarcerated person how much fun they had with their mugshot and being behind bars.  I really didn't like this episode except for bits and pieces.

I didn't comment on it in my original post, but I hated the gym scene. I mean, I guess if those guys learned a good workout routine in prison that they want to share, good on them. But the whole set up seems to be making very light of a serious situation. It rubbed me very wrong.

Atleast 3 other housewives visited him before he died Luann and Ramona did while he was in hospice

Sonja Ramona and Dorinda all went I thought there are pictures of them there. It’s super odd that they only showed Bethenny
