That's what o thought as well. It was clear that nothing she said was going to be OK in this present climate and I wondered if that was why she waited a few days to release a statement. But reaching out to Faith in private would have been the smart thing to do PR wise and I'm stunned she didn't. Faith stated Lala reached out to her privately and was clearly receptive to it. Stassi failed basic crisis management with that move. Someone on the other thread recommended the Vanderpump Rules Party podcast and I listened to it last night. They spoke about a tip they got from a crew member that said there has been a lot of racist and homophobic behaviour covered up by Bravo and that they work to protect Stassi, Jax and Brittany on particular from what they say. I used to regard it as nothing more than a guilty pleasure, amusing myself at the antics of shallow vapid Angelinos. I've always hated Stassi, but this news is just beyond belief. What she and Kristen did is unforgivable and no different from the stunt Amy Cooper pulled in Central Park. They called the cops on an innocent person, knowing full well that she could be harmed, and gleefully bragged about it afterward. I am so glad that Karmic payback seems to be happening - I actually watched it unfold in real-time as people on Reddit began contacting Stassi's sponsors. And it's a safe bet that she's boo-hooing in her new mansion & viewing herself as the victim right now. For the first time, I'm realizing that although probably largely scripted, this show, (along with Andy Cohen's other shows) is actually dangerous. Thankfully I've never followed any of these dolts on social media or other platforms, so I haven't funded them directly, but I don't think I can watch anymore, since most make their living from ratings. God only knows what else has happened behind the scenes, but this can't be swept under the rug anymore. Andy Cohen & Lisa Vanderpump have made a fortune off of terrible people doing terrible things to other people. The comments under that Variety article are truly ignorant and upsetting. Maybe I’ll console myself by thinking they were all posted by a desperate Beau, and that there are not so many dumb people out there. And then there was one little witch left. Wonder what Katie is thinking. ETA: I doubt LVP would hire Stassi back at another restaurant. It would be a bad look, and if there’s one thing she actually cares about it’s her image. Unlike some of the Housewives or Southern Charm people, I would argue she is one of the highest profile people on the network and there was just no way for them to keep her around when she is really one of the "faces" of their brand. She will miss the money and the fame, but it will absolutely eat her up to not be one of the "cool, beautiful people" on the right side of this movement. Remember how crazy it drove her when she was exiled from the group and had to sit at the loser table with Kristin and not the cute girl table with Lala and Ariana? 2 Link to comment
