It's so bizarre that Kail thinks he's so great, impressive, even. I can understand having a strong sexual attraction to whatever random person, but it seems to go deeper than that for her. She thinks he's husband/dad/stepdad material and imagines that they could have a future as some kind of successful power couple. What?!

I get that Kail comes from a very low-rent background and she's not half as sophisticated as she thinks she is, but it's shocking how clueless she is. She has gone to college and been on MTV for 10+ years, so you would think she would/could have learned something, actually quite a bit, about how the world works, how "educated, classy" people live, etc., etc. People who are actually as smart as she thinks she is manage to learn a lot about middle-class/stable/educated lifestyles with fewer opportunities and educational experiences than she's had.

Part of it is that she gives herself waaaaaay too much credit for getting a bachelor's from a shitty school. Jo, Vee, and Javi (for example) don't have college degrees, but they are so much more "classy" and "sophisticated" than Kail. Even Javi. I don't think Ivy League professors and exiled European royalty would be hanging out with any of those 3, but I don't think any of them would date serve as a long-term fuck toy for someone as trashy as Chris, much less be SUPER DUPER SPRUNG on him/her for years and produce 2 kids and counting. Even Javi (though he was hung up on Kail for a while...)

I get that the heart (or other body parts) wants what it wants, but what Kail doesn't get is that what makes a person "classy, smart, sophisticated, and a good mom" is that she is able to recognize that it's a problem to be hung up on a loser who treats her like shit. She saw the "problem" as figuring out a way to get Chris to "love" her the way she "loves" him. She still sees it that way. The "problem" is that Chris is such an asshole (for not loving/marrying her) and the online critics are assholes for being mean to her when she did nothing wrong. She doesn't even acknowledge how she put herself and her kids in this situation when it should have been obvious what a bad idea it all was from the start and at every juncture after that.

She's so provincial that she doesn't even get that no one cares if she has tattoos/long hair/whatever (She's actually totally unedgy in most of her styling. Wear what you want, but having a bunch of ugly tattoos with a "Mom So Hard" t-shirt, ill-fitting ripped up jeans, and Barbie hair is NOT edgy or interesting. At all.). Sigh. She just bugs me. She's blown away by Chris and thinks he as an individual, and them as a "couple," are super interesting, edgy, and deep. But they live in Delaware (I'm from DE) and she's basically a fat suburban housewife, except MTV is her "husband."

Even worse, I don't think she's really questioning the stupid life choice, she's just whining that the choice is hypocritical. And she's only saying that because she's mad that they're on the outs now. The next time Chris deigns to drop by for a swim in her pool and/or her lady parts, she'll probably tell him how cool the tattoo is and how good it makes her feel to know that he's reminded of their special, deep connection every time he looks in the mirror. I belong to a plus size guest Disney Group on Facebook (I joined for the Disney bound and Cos play ideas in my size) and I’m amazed at the number of women who whine about rashes and chaffing and being uncomfortable- honey it’s cause your clothing is TOO DAMN SMALL. Or if she had friends that she kept for more than five minutes, they probably would share any old maternity clothes they had.  When I worked in an office that required professional wear, my group of friends had a collective bunch of suits, cocktail dresses etc in maternity sizes that got passed down to the next most likely to get pregnant.  I inherited them at some point but never needed them.  I passed them along to the next woman in the group who did.

This is true but remember Kailyn is still relatively young. I think in the USA the average age for a first time mom is 25, she’s 27. I can see her not having a lot of peers that have kids. Period. There's no "he admitted that he got me pregnant on purpose" (from a woman who has THREE children and has been pregnant at least FIVE times). That doesn't mitigate anything. At all. Hot tubs are frowned upon while pregnant. I don't know how dangerous they actually are to the baby- something about how they can make your body temperature rise too high which has shown a small chance of causing birth defects in an extremely limited study. It's one of those things I think that probably  won't cause any lasting harm, but so easy to avoid, so why chance it? Of all the ways Kail has exposed her kids to unsavory things, this probably isn't even top 50.
