This post made me so happy! It's true. The big three that he dumped for Robyn are living large. He sits in the mansion with Robyn and her kids doing nothing. I never thought of it that way, but that's exactly what's happening.

Good luck to Robyn. It's only a matter of time until he hates her for it.

Someone on here noticed around the time of the catfishing that Kootie was wearing a logo T-shirt and it was for a gun dealership (in LV, I think) that Kootie had not renewed his license on. Subsequent recaps blurred the logo.  I suspect TLC doesn't want to publicize his gun-running side business and trying to sneak in the logo T-shirt was a bad idea on his part.

I just started surf lessons, and Sunday we're going to be going over wave etiquette and safety. There's a community among surfers, and you have to be deferential at times, and assertive at others. I can't imagine Kody at one of our beaches. He wouldn't be in the water, he'd be running around the beach in his stupid bedazzled jeans and leaping over beachgoers' towels, frenetically assuring us all how busy and important he is. If he did try to snag a wave, he'd surely bash into other surfers and likely get kicked off the beach. Even though there's no official policing or monitoring of surf etiquette, his fragile little ego would give him the murder eyes after getting yelled at by expert surfers.

But I would love to see it !!

Remember that episode where they went back to Kody’s hometown and met all his school “pals”? Kody strutted around like a proud peacock with his wives at first. And then it turned out that all of his friends just despised his way of living. They were disgusted by his choices leaving Kody so disappointed, hurt and confused….He really thought he’d be hailed as a super hero.

I’m trying to figure out if Kody has avoided getting vaxxed.  I’ve read a couple things, but not from him. Anyone know? I don’t understand the extreme protocols and then not vaxxing.  It makes no sense. I’ve never heard of that.

Humans don’t need guns to harm, guns do make it easier (I admittedly have mixed feelings on the issue). NY has strict gun laws and people are still horrible — stabbings, rapes in broad daylight, shoving people down stairs in the subways, shoving people in front of subways, gangs riding around on scooters robbing people, smash and grabs at high-end shops, running people over with vehicles. Even at work I feel threatened on a weekly basis by randoms and I’m alone with no backup. 

Anyway. I don’t recall seeing Kody’s business when we lived in Vegas. We knew lots of the firearms dealers from being in law enforcement.

My untrained eye thinks that the "kit" is everything but what makes a firearm go "boom". Every state has its own regulations, I have no idea about Arizona, but Kody has been seen in Oklahoma and Nevada at gun shows.

On an "extra clip" on Instagram (last year?) Kody was in a talking head video saying that his business was "working with metal". At first I thought that he may be a specialist re-loader (person who makes their own ammunition for specialty markets), but by the look of the photos at gun shows it looks like he just buys kits and accessories and sells them, no specialty talent, skills or knowledge needed.

Take it with a grain of salt, but Paedon touched on the subject in true Brown vague speak by saying that Kody (paraphrasing from memory) "has an interest that was once shown on the television show and his interest wasn't well received by fans, so they no longer show or discuss this interest that Kody has anymore." My translation is going back, the wives bought Kody a gun and he had fun shooting it at a shooting range and viewers didn't like it so they decided to not show that again.

While they were moving from Vegas to Flagstaff Kody constantly wore shirts and jackets with the Vegas dealers name on it.  I believe Caleb has also worn the same t-shirts and that was the logo on the hoodie that Kody gave Ysabel when she went for her surgery.

Right, today I finally got round to watching the first two episodes. I knew what was coming because of the detailed posts by my fellow snarkers, but I still found myself absolutely shocked by everything he said.

He really is a true gaslighter and an expert at emotional abuse. The way he kept trying to turn the tables on Christine and tried to make her feel as miserable as possible with the mean things he said. The way he tried to put all the blame on Christine. Everything was Christine’s fault. I was impressed by the way Christine handled it, because boy…it wasn’t pretty!

When I think back of the old Christine, I remember a very insecure, slightly immature, jealous and depressed person who at the time still adored Kody. If Kody started his gaslighting and verbal abuse “in a subtle way” and thus undermining Christine’s little self esteem and confidence bit by bit like most abusers do, then I totally get why she stayed for so long. I’m sure Kody programmed her to believe that no one else would have her and that he was the very best she could ever hope for. 
 

It also makes me wonder what he was like with the others. Somehow I cannot imagine Meri allowing him to be this vicious. I’m sure she’d have responded equally vicious and refused to budge. Janelle would probably just ignore his behaviour and go on with whatever she was doing. No idea what he is like with Robyn but she has admitted several times now that she struggles with him a lot…..

I agree with all of this. Add to this that Robyn said Kody likes curvy women. By encouraging them to be overweight, he probably thinks that will keep their self esteem low. They would be less likely to leave. 

I was with a verbally abusive man who said this. He loved my curves. Until he needed it to use against me. I see this in Kody, just from Robyn's statement during the buying the gym/ Janelle's weight loss journey eps.

Regarding your second paragraph, I agree. I don’t think Robin even believes that he prefers chubby women at all. She has ulterior motives for everything she says. 
 

If you go back and look at the previous episodes, he and Janelle never had a spicy relationship. They were more partners and a means to an end for Janelle. He also was never attracted to Christine. In fact, he was disgusted by her zest for nachos. The common denominator? Both women were fairly heavy when they married. 

Meri was thinner and from watching the first season, you can see a mutual attraction. 
 

I believe he was extremely attracted to Robin, who was obviously very slender back in the day. And to be honest, the first and only wife he was in love with, IMO.

A thought that occurred to me when I read this bit of your post: When you look at the wives, you see four very different women who only happened to share the same ideas about religion and marriage. It doesn't really feel like Kody had a certain type of woman he felt attracted to in terms of looks, personality and interests. He found something different with every wife until Robyn came along.

 He may have been in love with Meri but they had little in common in terms of personality and interests but loved to travel together. Janelle did offer friendship, mutual understanding and an income. Neither were housewives or particularly interested in being a hands-on mom. So that was Christine's role. It was all very convenient for him.

So why did he marry them, apart from religious reasons? Personally, I think he never fully grasped the concept of marrying someone for the right reasons until he met Robyn. As if a notion of "you and I could work together and you can be what I need" is enough to propose and get married..... And then Robyn came along, completely blowing him away and make him fall madly in love with him. She also seems to feel what he needs and what to say to keep him happy. I don't think Kody realised this existed until he met Robyn.

I think this was the gun the wives bought him for Christmas it might have been after he was grumpy the one year they got him a computer.  But I think he told Robyn he wanted the gun so the wives bought it for him together because it cost a few thousand dollars.

They do! He was right on the science. Kissing can exchange certain hormones like testosterone or oestrogen and also increases dopamine and oxytocin in the individuals. Same as holding hands, looking into each others eyes and cuddling. 

Oxytocin is called 'the cuddle/bonding hormone'. It's a major factor in intimate romantic/sexual relationships and in bonding parents to newborns. Women naturally have a flood of oxytocin during and after childbirth to bond them to the newborn and skin to skin contact for both parent is designed to promote oxytocin production.

Dopamine is also a 'reward' hormone for the brain. So the individual wants more of it. 

Which was what he was cautioning against - intimate physical activity creates hormones that promote bonding to the other person.

He's annoying as hell but not wrong in this regard scientifically.

He did say 'people can look it up' but it seems most people didn't bother lol.

I so didn't know about the sharing of hormones through saliva.

It seems Kody still had it wrong though. He was saying the sharing of saliva increased the desire for sex, which is not true. We all know, and as you included in your post, physicals closeness releases our own happy chemicals in our brains. As does emotional closeness. 

So for sure, kissing can make one horny, but the cause is not due to swapping spit.

I just spent about 15 minutes (not long, I know) checking the scientific literature for "kissing exchanges hormones" and can't find anything, although I do find lots of how kissing increases production of hormones.  I know I can't count on cite like HuffPost to cite sources, but it sure would be nice to see where they got that from.

The article is on a website basically for lip injections. I find this theory much the same a saying the tryptophan in turkey induces naps.
