  1. Just watched last night's HH Where are They Now. Holy Crap! Putting a ring on it just got a new meaning with the Texas ranch couple Brooke and Rodie (sp). She lost 2 fingers in an accident. Now I have to go back and see if I notice it.
  2. Binged it. Really torn on my feelings. The actress who played Martha was amazing. I had very little sympathy towards Donny, although I understand that grooming sexual abuse victims deals with lots of psychological issues. My favorite people in the series are Donny's parents especially his dad. The scene where he talks to his parents about the abuse was mesmerizing. Recommended it to friends halfway through, but rescinded it at the end.
  3. I did some incredibly unsafe things as a child with my (wonderful) parents knowledge. Riding on the tailgate of our station wagon swinging our feet around the neighborhood comes to mind. There's a somewhat blurred line between common sense safety and kids being kids. Zach is absolutely wanting to recreate his youth on the farm- the tractor bucket is a repeat. I think since Matt had such limitations on what he could do physically as a child, that he wanted his kids to have fun. There were some dangerous stunts that fortunately led to no serious injuries save the trebuchet.
  4. Very informative read @AZChristian. Agree with you, long time watchers will appreciate it. Worth the time, thanks for posting. Happiest is the Jacob news, he was so invisible as a child, and then the awful allegations. Good for him.
  5. Really enjoy Caryn's take in TH's. She hopes they can reconnect with ZiT, but if not, it's not for lack of trying on their part. Also like that she has nixed farm for her wedding to Matt. She and Matt are good together. ZiT are denying both their children the fun of the farm and loving, involved grandparents. They are also denying Matt and Amy the kids. Calling total shenanigans on "we moved for our own space, we are independent now." Did you see how both ZiT had arms crossed during that discussion? Body language suggests a different truth.
  6. Rewatched some old episodes when sick. Surfing in Hawaii (I think) Zach was the best of the group. He attributes it to low center of gravity.
  7. Born and bred Hoosier displaced now. Really enjoyed the Chicago to Northern Indiana couple. Small budget, but 3 diverse choices. Love a couple that gets along, aren't incredibly demanding and respects partner's wishes and needs too. Good job HH. Liked their pick. Glad they ended up close to hubby's job.
  8. I know nothing of Jackson's leg bowing so I'll stay out of that. I do know a lot about speech and language delays (career preK teacher). In general, children like Lilah with both language and articulation concerns fare the best with early intervention. Children can receive testing and services for free by trained speech pathologists in public schools at 3. This usually isn't a "grow out of it" problem.
  9. Enjoyed your take @JMO. I certainly would never sign up to be on a reality show, who would want their whole life seen and discussed by strangers? So easy for me to say Amy needs to get over her bitterness about Matt and Caryn, and Zach needs to get over his regarding the farm, but I only know what TLC has shown. I do believe that some family therapy would help rebuild family ties.
  10. Matthew from Kin Kin was a bit of an odd duck. Thought he'd pick #2, really thought the privacy would win out. Guy was nicely dressed (even sans shoes) all episode. He hopped out of his van in clean, unwrinkled clothes, so I'm calling some shenanigans on him. If the big trees were the deciding factor, and he walks a lot, why not just walk to find big trees. Unique guy.
  11. Long time teacher here. Every few years, I'll have a student who wears either cowboy boots or rain boots. The parents always say "he/she insisted". I usually ask to please send a pair of old sneakers and we change them. I get it, parents have to chose battles, but I'd pick the shoe battle with Lilah. It interferes with her mobility.
  12. Love to hate on Amanda off to Madrid. Figured she was "content creator" or influencer or something similar. Figured there may have been some family $$, just a guess, living alone in LA., all her travels and sleep away camps as a child. Knew which one she'd pick. She was as annoying as advertised.
  13. DAAA was a big part of Zach's growing up along with the Little People of America Conference. Really shi*** that Zach and Tori can't show at the fundraiser to support Amy. Amy wasn't happy about the no-shows. And what a lame reason why- going to Idaho to see people. Who does 2 vacations back to back because Austin is upcoming? Oh,wait people that don't have JOBS take multiple vacas. Amy should have just said "I'm disappointed Zach and Tori and the kids won't be here too."
  14. Our school has teachers vs elem kids dodgeball last day of school. Lots of pent up frustration gets thrown at kids. The soft balls are used. It's quite cathartic for some teachers. I teach prek, I like all my kids.
