Her nonsense annoys me.  As if she is really shaking things up by wearing shorts and giving firm handshakes.  

All of this lofty talk of female empowerment is nonsense.  Laura just wants an excuse to do whatever she wants to do.  Nothing more.  She knows she is looking like a moron and has conveniently decided that she had some larger agenda.  

Would an empowered woman move thousands to miles into a country that doesn't allow her freedoms and rights so that she could pursue Tunisian dick?  Does female empowerment look like an old woman foolishly hobbling about in boots.  

Laura is submissive to aladin no matter what the culture.  Has he stopped following women on Instagram? No. 

Has he honored her sexual requests?  No.

Did she throw away the vibrator to placate him?  Yes. 

Is she handing him her money? Probably.

Can he still take four wives if he wants? Yes. 

Can he use her money to fund the lifestyle of four other wives?  Probably.

Was his boss impressed with her firm handshake?  No.  But given that she looks like the skipper he might think she is a man.

Nagging and whining at aladin doesn't make Laura powerful or any less submissive.  It just makes her annoying.

RealReality, some Western women do move to the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc. to pursue jobs in health care/nursing/engineering, etc. Many of them do live in Western style housing areas. They still lose some of the Western freedoms that they are used to.

Laura can't bulldoze her way through another country's culture, rules, and laws.

Aladin is hardly an equal life partner.

I'm re-watching Aladin and Laura on the beach episode, and on one of the commercials, she's talking about how she wishes they could have kids by doing jiggy-jiggy together. It just suddenly struck me as so insane that a woman her age could think - even for one split second - that a hot 29 year old guy would be interested in her for real.

I'm around Laura's age, but fairly slim, fit, and put-together. I don't even expect men my own age to be interested, LOL. How do these women delude themselves so thoroughly? I'm genuinely curious what mix of desperation and sky-high self-esteem allows them to think that young attractive men could want them.

Definitely playing the long con. I'm thinking Aladin will either make sure life in Qatar or Tunesia is unbearable, making Laura demand they move to the US or Canada, or he will spring the idea on Laura when the time is right.

Other than that, what could he want from her? She's not loaded, and her pension is likely modest. So then, what does she offer besides a ticket to the West? She can carry a baby that's been fertilized with a donor egg - but what advantage does that give Aladin? It would only make divorcing her harder and more expensive.

I hope the story plays out enough on the show for us to figure out his endgame. Because there is for sure an endgame.

I goggled wine and Qatar.  Wine can be purchased with a permit and it's really pricey.  So Laura most likely does not have the cash to buy the wine and get a permit.  Plus Aladin is dry like toast.

If you're new to wine making, you should just use juice instead of whole fruit. You just need 100% juice with no preservatives. You pour out about a cup of the juice, add a cup of sugar, put in your yeast, put a plastic bag with a hole poked in it over the mouth of the bottle, and secure the bag with a rubber band. Wait a week. You have wine. It's not good wine, but you have wine.

Laura should have told him she was making vinegar. The process is a little similar and Aladin doesn't know how to make vinegar either.

Laura likes pushing his buttons and then skulking in a corner and whining about how poorly she is being treated and all she gave up after she complies with his directives. 

Had she done the logical thing and said it was vinegar....or literally anything else in the entire world....she would have missed her big chance.

I am confused why everyone keeps making this "4 wives" thing a thing. No random Tunisian personal trainer living a modern lifestyle (which Aladdin IS, despite what he observes as a Muslim) is going to have 4 wives!

Maybe if he was a wealthy man from an Ultra conservative plural wife family (think Bin Ladin) that would be a different story.

Yeah, I found that off-putting too.  

And it's awful rich of her to complain about how aladin used to be a lot more fun when she spent the last episode bitterly crying and being a joyless buzzkill.  

She was either going to hide it from him or she was going to pretend she made some sort of juice drink.  I feel there was a good chance she was going to "jokingly" see if she could aladin to drink it.  

She also sounded a little boozy during the segment so I'm wondering if she was on her second batch.  

She really ought to head home and spend her retirement money on a lifetime supply of batteries and wine.

So rewatching Laura in the dildo store and there’s a talking head I don’t remember. She says she’s “faked it” because the sex isn’t any good. But she’s also complained it’s too short. So does she fake it to get him to finish up or does she tell him he was great since he didn’t rock her world? Can’t believe a word she says.
