Mama Dee Simmons joins the ladies in an attempt to help D'Andra and LeeAnne mend their friendship; Brandi accuses Kameron of being a liar; Kameron accuses D'Andra of being her mother's puppet; D'Andra reveals a previous stint in rehab.

Airs December 12, 2018.

Their getups are sparkle trash. They all look hideous. Cari looks a little better than the rest, I’ll bet her husband picked out her dress, lol.

Nah, I take that back — Cari’s dress is just as bad.

DeAndra looks like she’s wearing heavy curtains from the 80’s.

Cari’s 70s Michael Jackson/ Liberace streamers on her wrist are annoying the hell out of me

I'm like a bull in a china "cabinet". A very tiny bull.

I had a coke problem, but then I went to rehab in Tijuana for three months and then I was fine. Alrighty.

I'm sure D'Andra appreciated Mama Dee eventually saying she was agreeing with LeeAnne. :)

What do you want to bet D'Andra went to Tijuana - when it was still safe - to hide her problem?  Was that before or after she worked for the kinder, gentler Bush?

Hilarious moment:  Cary of the plastic surgery, endless home renovations, Birkins and appliance with its own twitter yelling at everyone else for being superficial.

Another one:  the tallest little girl in the world admitting that she's an empty headed moron.  After that, I had seen too much of her.

It is my opinion that Deandra was pissed that Leanne refused to have her first (and ostensibly only) wedding on the fly at Deandra's party.  It was after that that Deandra started doubting the wedding would happen and demanding that Leanne EXPLAIN HERSELF IMMEDIATELY because Deandra was "confused" and needed to know what was going on.  Then she started the Cheating Rich stories behind Leanne's back.   I hate the tallest little girl in the world with every fiber of my being, but even so, Deandra is the worst friend of them all.

D'Andra to LeeAnne: "I'm sorry for hurting your feelings and airing your private problems in a public manner."
LeeAnne to D'Andra: "I miss being able to show you The Way and being your personal protection bitch to save you from your Mama."
Andy: "... That was... nice." (mentally: I guess?) "That was nice."

Granted, I came into this season when it was half over and had never watched this Ho-Wives before but I laughed like a loon over that.

Isn't "sparkle trash" pretty much what you expect from a Ho-Wives season, no matter the city it's set in? I feel like it could totally describe every version of the show and is pretty much the reason why I watch. Maybe Kameron is my sparkly spirit animal?

I do like RHOD but this 2nd part of the reunion was pretty lame.

I thought Mama Dee was going to annoy me but she actually tried talking some sense.

I think the cast is pretty good. The only person I really don’t care for is Brandi and I wouldn’t care if she left the show and I don’t think it would hurt the show. Actually I think her leaving might make it better. Which is weird cause I used to like Brandi in previous seasons. She just seems like a mean girl and isn’t entertaining. Her family is annoying as hell to watch too.

Without Brandi and LeeAnne fighting this show would have nothing really. they are the main conflict even with D’andra if Brandi wasn’t there then LeeAnne wouldn’t be Jealous that D’andra was becoming friends with someone else and it would just be dull love her or hate her (I’m a Brandi boy) she with LeeAnne are what keep this franchise afloat

Leeanne is a pathological liar and Kam, you are all about 'society'.  Stop trying to convince everyone you're not.

Kameron saying she hates the word "society" was the funniest part of the reunion for me.

Can you blame Kameron for spacing out and nodding off during these lame conversations that are totally fabricated for tv? I thought she was hilarious admitting it. I would rather be thinking of dogs or clothes too.

I hope Carey doesn't drop her truth-telling ways next season. It was a better approach than focusing on her body and her designer clothes which seemed to be her character for the previous seasons.

D'andra is just a nasty, self-centered person and that really came out at the reunion. She seemed desperate to insert herself into drama and picking a fight with LeAnne over her slow-moving road to the altar was just mean. She's self-centered and doesn't seem to have a "bring a casserole when someone's hurting gene" to balance off her selfishness.  I'll never forget her wicked stepmother behavior in the way she berated Rich's son and how he packed up and left at night (probably without dinner) just to get the heck out of her house. If she didn't come back I wouldn't miss her.

I absolutely believe what Kam said, about the "two hundred in my account" thing being a "golden ticket" to her. I'm now seeing her in a whole new light - fame-hungry, calculated, and incredibly selfish. I think she originally turned down the show, thinking she was too good for it. She saw LeeAnn getting all this attention and wanted a piece of it. But she couldn't share the top spot with LeeAnn.

I forgot about this but thank you, Kam. Put that together with the raging, but sadly off-camera, fight that was reported between LeAnn and D'andra about who was the Queen Bee of the show it's clear that D'andra is gunning to win the favorite housewife poll on WWHL.  That's why LeeAnne stuck it to her in the fashion show by teasing with the Queen Bee stuff again.  How sad that you could have tremendous wealth, a happy marriage (supposedly) but still destroy your long time best friend because she finally has something that you want but can't buy?

Dog Food Barbie trying to say her mother in law and husband dont dictate who she is and isnt friends with was laughable esp after she said that she no longer hangs with her old friend after her mother in law told her not to lol girl you know you would be dropped like a hot potato if you didn't stay in line ......and she is the one all about society and how she is perceived so her saying she didn't want to hear that word was way funny cause she was JUDGING everyone by the "society" standard ... I think D'andra being the Debutante and from Dallas money came into this group thinking that she would be treated like she is with her "society" friends and she would be Queen but reality television and Dallas are 2 totally different animals and its KILLING her that she isnt the head of the group and its really showing.... Steph is just beyond to sweet and to hear that some of the Society woman treated her like she was nothing after doing this show was very telling of them esp being shown what a sweet caring open person she has been.... Cary can just go away she adds nothing to this show other then riding a fence her story line other then taking them on the trip was non existent and DOA .... and I will say it again without LeeAnne and Brandi this show would be boring as fuck they might both be crazy in different ways but no one would be watching if one of them was missing because there would be no conflict it would be dogfood barbie babbling on about rules Cary being useless and D'andra and LeeAnne being fine because Brandi isnt there to make Leeanne jealous because she thinks D'andra should only be friends with her. Everyone would be saying CANCEL the show its dull its boring  ...

Snort!

So after Kam admits she nods when she's not paying attention, she tries to console Cary* when she's upset about her parents - and Kam holds her hand and starts nodding like crazy.

*Gee, Cary, I can't believe your master plan to make up with your dad by taking a trip to his home country, not with him, but with a bunch of spangled drunkards didn't pan out.  Shocking.

Also, Kam trying to seem wise when she repeatedly told D'Andra: we're losing your trust.  What?!  You mean, you no longer trust her, I assume?

The show would be better without Brandi. Her drama with Leanne isn’t all that entertaining. Her squinty bitch face sucks the fun out of most of her scenes. And I don’t care about her weird ass adoption story because it just points out rich ppl take advantage of the system..or she adopted her husbands love child lol. The rest can stay they bring something to the table.

When I came into this season, D'andra was my favorite. I've come away from the end of this season thinking she's a horrible person.

I understand this feeling but I politely disagree.  Forget about being a debutante or "society," didn't she say she was a DASD or something?  That is kinda big in my world.  I'd need to know more about her appointment before rendering a final judgement.

Kam, OTOH, bugs the shit out of me.  I think I would shun her in real life.  I'd shun her MIL as well.  They project every bad stereotype of Dallas "society" I have in my mind.

Yesterday Mr. Moving replaced our 32 inch non HD  TV  with a 55 inch 4K HD  TV and I can honestly say I am seeing the ladies in a whole new light. :)  I think they would look so much better without such heavy makeup.  The eye makeup on many of them is so dark and heavy.

D' andra spent 90 days in a Mexican rehab for addiction and attended NA meetings in her early thirties.  She is an admitted addict.  I am not judging her, I think it is wonderful she got some help.  Addicts typically are not addicted to just one substance or behavior (gambling, spending or sex)  The fact that she is drinking is not a good thing.  Switching addictions is not unusual for a recovering addict.  D'andra hanging out and drinking with Brandi, who admits to have had issues with alcohol, is not a good thing for her.  Many viewers have stated that they really liked D'andra last season but have been turned off by her behavior this season.  I think what we are seeing is a relapsing addict on a downward spiral on the way to rock bottom.  Addict behavior goes far beyond just drinking, drugging etc., it is the denial, anger, resentment and lying.  Her on camera personality has undergone a real change this season.  She may have always been this way in private, but she has been unable to control her behavior on screen this year.  I hope D'andra decides she needs to go back into rehab and get some help.  Again, I am not sitting in judgement of D'andra, I think she is human and needs help.  Addiction is a deadly disease if not treated.

LeeAnn looks even more like a cartoon character when Andy (or anyone) asks her a question and then she starts contorting her face, talking in an exaggerated hillbilly accent and making some kind of "clever" remark. Who does this? It's like she morphs into some kind of caricature or herself. And she is kind of a caricature to begin with.

That was so funny.

Why does Cary feel like she has to do something special for her father to love her?  If she's explained why they're not close, I've forgotten.  Shame on him, for making her feel she doesn't deserve to be loved "as is".

I liked Kam for a couple of episodes early in this season, when it seemed like she might actually know what she was doing, with the dog food.  Not the pink/sparkle stuff so much as knowing how to talk to potential business partners.  I expected Valley Girl talk and she sounded almost professional.  But she lost me when she got all butt-hurt over an innocuous comment about Jimmy.  She was just looking for drama.

Too bad D'Andra couldn't have gone into a different business entirely, so she could get out from under Mama D.  But maybe that's beyond her -- we haven't seen that she has any skills.  Have we seen her supervise employees, deal with distributors, manufacturers, customers, etc.?  Maybe we did and I've forgotten (I forget a lot).

Weird nitpick! Every one of these women insist on answering a question with a question and following up with "ONE HUNDRED PERCENT," and it is driving me out of my damn mind. I sit around waiting for it. Is it only me? So do I think D'Andra may be a recent pariah due to her declasse inclusion in this trashy franchise & her embarrassing and vulgar money talk, so she's spinning out of control? ONE HUNDRED PERCENT, YES. They're all doing a reasonably good job crafting a persona: Cary's cool & real, Stephanie's simple and sweet, LeeAnne's crazy as hell, Cam's a pampered princess. Brandi and D'Andra have lost the script bc they are vitriolic and thirsty and miserable. IMO, of course lol

This was so interesting that I fell asleep half way (if) through. I’ll have  to go On Demand to watch the rest, although after reading all of your posts I don’t know if it’s worth it. Is there a part 3?

No part 3, but I still think it’s worth watching just for the snark. The fight over society between Kam and D’Andra was preposterous, depressing, and oddly entertaining.

I agree this franchise needs a bit of a shakeup (not an overhaul like RHOC, but some tweaking). To that end, I want to echo what someone on this board once suggested (I think?): Bring in Bonnie from Big Rich Texas! She’s silly and fun, creative, accomplished, and a LEGIT smart blonde (step aside, Kam). Bonnie has a PhD in physiology, is published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and teaches college classes.

In her spare time, she writes award-winning YA murder mystery novels (ten!) and runs a major murder mystery party company (so perfect pairing for WWHL with Stassi). She also has apparently created more than a hundred board games, served as executive producer for A Bronx Tale when it ran in Dallas, and a bunch of other stuff. She has a moderately crazy daughter with whom she’s pretty codependent. She’s rich, completely irreverent, gives zero fucks about impressing society, and loves plastic surgery. She’s currently living in Austin, but she could totally have a house in Dallas too. And she’s already had a run-in with LeeAnne’s friend “Heidi fucking Dillon!”

Oh- and the best part? She teaches college classes in parasitology, which really should give her a solid foundation for dealing with these hissing, sniping, back-stabbing hanger-ons...

http://bonblossman.com/bio

P.S.- I’ve totally been overthinking this. I know. But I’ve really enjoyed this franchise the last two seasons (even though there were weak spots) and I’d like to see it come back new & improved (just like Steph’s vagina).

Edited by MrsWitter
Because I forgot to mention “Heidi fucking Dillon” and nobody should forget her lest she send LeeAnne to cut a bitch.

Ha ha It also cracked me up when Mama Dee said - very sincerely - that she loved Leanne.  Then saying "Oh and I love you too D'Andra" - totally like an afterthought.  That tickled me.

Speaking of the Simmons family, I was surprised to hear that they didn't enter "Dallas society" until Mama D married D'Andra's stepfather when she was 6.  Now, does that mean that the story of D'Andra's father killing himself was actually her stepfather?  If so, what was the situation with her real father?  I wish Andy or somebody had addressed this.  Inquiring (aka: nosy) minds want to know!

Kari is a very attractive woman with an amazing body, but her facial expressions are NOT flattering. Nor are her sometimes gaudy makeup and clothing.

Mama Dee would trade D’Andra to the Devil in exchange for a spot on RHOD.

D’Andra and Brandi need to understand that LeeAnne is the favorite child of Andy Cohen and Bravo.

D'Andra's rehab story is odd. Tijauana? Really?

I think we all just witnessed Brandi officially running out of storyline.

Somehow I like Kam more then ever.

Stephanie, was she there?

Cary said her naked hot tub romp caused friction with her parents...what about her first season and her husband was taking risqué pics of her on camera?  That was not an issue?

Society, what a joke. Do people really buy in to that social structure seriously?  In today's world?  Kam's family will be just fine as well as D'Andra's family, nobody will be black balled over having the wrong friends and their country club memberships will not be revoked, ugh.

How will Bravo make this show interesting next season?  Maybe a Survivor sort of thing or a Hunger Games theme...something please!

I know this is going to come across as nit-picky, but I think the words and language we use really matters.  It gets me annoyed when Andy and D'andra and some of the others use the word "society" as a proxy for "high society."  Everyone who lives and works in Dallas is part of Dallas's society.  That's just a fact.  So of course Leann is a part of Dallas society, as long as she has business there.

What D'andra really wanted to say to Leann is that Leann wouldn't know anything about Dallas high society, because she is not a part of Dallas high society, but she did not say that, because it would have made her look like the biggest snob in the fucking world, so she got away with saying it without saying it, and I fault Andy for that more than anyone else.  He should have pressed D'andra and asked, "why is she not a part of Dallas society?"  And then made sure he got an answer out of her.

I did like that he pointed out the irony that D'andra accuses Kam of marrying into a high society family, when D'andra herself is only high society through marriage lol.

Call me let down from this reunion installation, as opposed to last week's which was gold, Jerry, gold.  I felt like there was a lot of gold in them thar hills that Andy neglected.  I wanted to know more about D'andra saying how she was going to cash in on (pardon the pun) the $200 story that Leann put out there.  It reminds me of the text from Part I that D'andra wrote to Kam about how resentful she was about supporting the other women's businesses.  I think Cary had a lot of tea to spill, had she been given more of a chance.

Congratulations, D'andra, you have officially outflanked Brandi for the Housewife who is the biggest piece of shit on this franchise, and that was not an easy contest to win.  I have to give credit where credit where credit is due and say that I thought Brandi was the best dressed, and she was the only one to answer Andy's final question about her biggest regret of the season.  Everyone else gave vagaries about lessons they'd learned, which was not the question.  On the other hand, Brandi did not answer Andy's question to her about why she was so freaked about Leann taking a video of the topless bathing when Bravo was filming it.  I would have had a lot more respect for her if she'd just said, "because I was feeling like a vindictive bitch toward Leann for x,y,z reason, and I was looking to pick a fight with her."  That would have earned some respect from me, actually.

I think the adopted baby storyline is total bullshit, and, although I like Stephanie, I lose respect for her for being part of the lie.  I also didn't think it was necessary to lie to Kameron about the surrogate either.  Her whole defense was that it was said in the moment.  Girl, you are throwing a party for a woman who adopted a baby, and half of the people know and half don't.  Can you not come up with one throwaway line if people ask questions?  How about, "my lips are sealed"?  Or "we'll see"?  I wouldn't enjoy getting manipulated about that either.  Someone tells you that they are having a baby, and you feel real emotion for them, and congratulate them, and then you find out they were lying....?  It doesn't sit well with me.

Cary's father is so angry that she took a nude dip in the hot tub surrounded by a bunch of girlfriends, and TV cameras which would pixelate her naughty bits when something extremely similar is part of his culture and has also been filmed by Bravo? Dude, your daughter cusses like a sailor on national TV, talks about vaginas 24/7, is on her third marriage, and you're worried about a naked soak in the tub?  Alrighty then.

I just think it's shocking and appalling and gross how low D'andra has decided to slide.  I think she is a deeply unhappy woman (hey, she and Brandi can drink to that!) and she is looking to take others down with her.  I would pay good money to be a fly on the wall in her marital home, because I have a feeling something is rotten in Denmark there.  Both of Rich's first ex-wives (couldn't she just have said "Rich's first two ex-wives") came to D'andra to rat out Rich's philandering ways?  Don't believe it. When, in fact, did both of these women choose to do this?  After, as another poster wrote, Leann and Rich declined to get married at D'andra's event, which is when she seemed to catch animosity in the first place?  I do not believe she is running the business full-time, with no strings attached from Mama, and if she is, I fully expect her not to be back next season, as that seems like a job that does not allow one to take off time for filming.

I think D'andra and Brandi have a lot of issues that they need to settle off-camera.  Three months in an addiction facility in Tijuana for cocaine?  Ok...I am no blushing virgin when it comes to drugs, and most cocaine users are also using alcohol or Xanax (maybe it was Valium back then) and Vicodin (maybe it was morphine back then) to level out the mania.  I'm not saying she shouldn't be drinking now, thirty years later, but it is a red flag.  That, and didn't she come onto the show saying she had used to be overweight, and that eating is also a struggle for her?  Then we have the shopping.  Then we have the losing of the shit, not just at castmates, but at her stepson, and I think D'andra really may need to go to that weeklong therapy retreat Stephanie came back from, except this time maybe let's make it a month.  Or whenever filming for next season is.  She's no longer good for the show.

I really liked D'andra season two (aka, in D'andra's mind, the first season of the show), so I might be tempted to say something like, "oh, how the mighty have fallen."  But if that weak-kneed, neck-ringed, bell-bottom wearing bitch is 'mighty,' then I may as well hang my hat.

Stephanie's face when Kam said she hates the word society was priceless.

Cary: "That is embarrassing what you just said."  LMAO.  So true.  Not that Cary is super down to earth or anything but I totally agree.  100 % AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Lol!!!

Brandi is awful but I still think she wasn't wrong saying no one else trusts LeAnn.

I wonder how many ex-best friends D'Andra and LeAnn both have?  I bet they both have a trail of ex-friends they had a falling out with.

I hate to agree with Kam but I don't she was wrong to say that everyone is losing trust in D'Andra because of the way she treated LeAnn. The other nice thing I will say about Kam is that I think she is the best dressed on the show. Not a fan of all the pink and of the condom earrings but otherwise she usually looks nice.  Not my style, but nice.

Will D'Andra and LeAnn get a relationship coach next season? LOL.

LeAnn's response at the end for what she would do over and what she wanted to say to D'Andra was not cool.  Like everyone else admitted that they did something wrong but she didn't admit to anything.

Kam's foot LOL

It will be interesting if everyone come back again next year.  3 seasons in a row of the exact same cast has to be HoWife record.  Did any of the franchise even have two seasons of the exact same cast?  Did New York just have that from Seasons 9-10?

Cary said her naked hot tub romp caused friction with her parents...what about her first season and her husband was taking risqué pics of her on camera?  That was not an issue?

It may have been an issue then as well but she never spoke about her relationship with her parents last season so understandably, it was never a question she had to answer back then. It seems she has an up and down relationship with her parents and it seems to be because of a fundamental difference in their ideals and how Cary serves as a representative of their ideals - as is, they may see as a let down. Surely going on a reality show and being yourself is unlikely to make it any easier in building that relationship when they're already disapproving of who Cary is behind closed doors without the world able to see it all.

So much of this reunion exposed that all of the hills that Brandi and D'Andra were willing to die on to expose LeeAnne were just foolish and hypocritical.

Brandi is mad at LeeAnne for telling D'Andra to be careful with her friendship meanwhile Brandi did the same thing to Stephanie and went even further by saying that LeeAnne is only trying to be friends with Stephanie to get to Brandi.

Brandi feels entitled to think that LeeAnne can't be trusted, particularly with the video she filmed, but she also felt offended that LeeAnne didn't trust her...even insisting that LeeAnne knew that she didn't steal her phone. Also, Brandi kept asking 'if I stole your phone, why would I bring it back to you?'...maybe because you couldn't get into her phone so you gave up and decided to give it back. Not saying that Brandi stole the phone...just saying that it's not even the slightest bit hard for someone who already hates and distrusts her to think of a reason why you would have taken their phone to begin with. Also, I thought it funny how Brandi either didn't realize or didn't care that her rationale for why she didn't steal the phone was basically, 'if I had stolen your phone, I would have taken it back to America and committed crimes to get access to the contents of your phone'.

D'Andra is a vindictive person and her behaviour demonstrates the lengths of her vindictiveness but she's not smart enough to pull it off and look remotely reasonable in her attempts. It's not easy to make LeeAnne look less crazy but D'Andra managed to do it. I could write paragraphs upon paragraphs breaking down all of the things from this reunion that expose D'Andra's fragile sensibility which resulted in her scorched earth approach to taking down someone she called a best friend...and theory to which LeeAnne to some extent not only mentioned but her own mother agreed with.

I agree. Not my style either. But she always looks well put together, never sloppy.

Since I'm sitting here bored at work (but I repeat myself), I'm going to try my hand at this, without looking at the Internet:

As far as domestic Housewives casts (not the ones aboard), the longest-running franshcise to have the same cast members throughout the entire season (talking opening credits, not friends-of), was RHNJ, seasons 3-5.

Off the top of the head, here are the only other franchises I can think of that have had the same cast members in back-to-back seasons, but I don't think anyone else has gotten three yet:

(update: I looked it up on the Internet, and I had much of it wrong, so I corrected it)

RHNY had the same cast the past two seasons, 9 and 10; you were right!

RHAtlanta had the same cast for seasons 3 and 4

RHBH has had the same cast for seasons one and two

None of the other franchises had this that I can recall.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.  Work is really boring!

Nailed. It.

Her THs are no picnic either, especially with all the costumes and weaves. She’s just so odious.

I noticed that her accent/affectations toned right down when she was talking to Mama Dee....

I thought that, too. But Cary's entire storyline this year was about wanting to repair her fractured relationship with her father, and everyone knows one accomplishes this by filming with your tv friends in the man's native country without him and by staying in his home and talking about how he's never been the father you needed. So now I wonder if it was that naked hot tubbing that set off her private & conservative parents. Maybe they also resented the broadcasting of her personal grievances?  (P.S. I loved your whole post.)

Ehhh people have been saying this since season 1 - but these ladies keep coming back.  And I personally think the seasons keep getting better.  In fact, Dallas is now my second favorite franchise behind NYC.  It's infinitely more entertaining than the recent OC seasons and the current ATL.  The fact that there are real friendships at stake makes the drama far less contrived (at least for me).

It was d’andra’s biological father who killed himself. He killed homself two weeks after she got married the first time. She theorizes that the timeline was on purpose. She believes he felt like he could kill himself because she was now married and had someone to take care of her.

Ohhh ok thank you! I think I was confused because of that little story Mama Dee told at the “ketchup meatloaf” dinner... something about the last time she saw so-and-so before he killed himself.  I interpreted it as if they were still together.
