Moani witch/ Rainman- WTF?????  This witch is 30 years old; not 15!  1.  She knows what makes babies, 2. This is 2018. By now , breastfeeding is not seen as reliable birth control.  You can find this out on baby and or breastfeeding boards and forums online, in baby and or breastfeeding books, in apps about breastfeeding, and your doctor talks with you about it at your 6 week checkup postpartum. The doctor literally sits you down and asks you what you want to do for BC if you don't want another baby yet b/c breastfeeding is NOT reliable BC; then the doctor goes through your options.  There is NO excuse for her to know that it's NOT reliable birth control. If you are breastfeeding and having sex, you can still get pregnant!!!!!!!!!! 3.  She should have refused to have sex with him if he didn't wear a condom.  It is EVERY BIT her responsibility as well that she got knocked up again.  I just can't with her.  I want to slap her pout pout face when I see her on my screen.  Don't want another baby you don't take care of, then KNOW how to not make one.  At 30 she should have a career or at least a steady job.  Most of what is wrong in this relationship is HER fault.  If she hates Rainman so much, then she should have just sucked it up and not told him about the 1st baby, been a single mother, and left his simple self in Samoa.  If anyone is a bitch ass , slut ass, whore; it's Kolani.

 

Rainman seemed to understand that sex makes babies; why couldn't Kolani get it?  What did she think would happen having sex with no protection????  She'd better be glad she got another baby out of his sexy moves and not an STD from not using  a condom b/c he was sleeping around  until they made it an official relationship.

Leida is a terrible human being. She has zero empathy. I mean, she picked a loser, but I am sick of hearing of her great life and promising medical career at home. Was it not two episodes ago when she said she came here to advance her medical degree? Pick a lane, princess. 

I hope she is not gunning for a career in pediatrics, since her love of children is so clearly documented. The only place her bedside manner is appropriate is a morgue. 

Can we throw Fernanda and the Jamaican guy together and then pair Jon and Trashley together?

Nothing cracked me up more than Coltee looking for flights to Brazil - the entire country. Like he was just willing to get the cheapeat flight to get her over the border.

I have a load of sympathy for Fernanda. I moved to Germany with my husband when I was 28. I speak German. I love Europe. I get Europe -  but Jesus Christ, those first couple months in country were really hard. I left behind my family, my friends, my vibrant career, my whole social support system…just like every other fiancé on the show. I know. I know. 😉 But, man, those first few months when you are trying to make a life from basically scratch in a new place are hard.  

I remember one time when my husband went out with some colleagueson a Friday night, and he stayed out till after two in the morning. It was a work thing, and I understood, but I still wanted to kill him. I had been home alone all day, and at the end of a long week, felt so lonely and isolated. Now, this was about 20 years ago, so communication options were a bit more limited, but I had 10 years on Fernanda, and was still so lonely and isolated after a long week alone. All these years later, that moment of lonely isolation is still with me. 

I am willing to give Fer a pass for this freak out. Maybe she was just having a bad day at the end of a long week. Nobody is 100 percent strong 100 percent of  the time. 

And let’s be honest, Johnny, you bought Fer’s bewbies for you, too. 🙄

Leida, Eric, and Steven are just terrible awful fucktards, and each one deserves to have  a piano fall on his/her head. 

And now when fat Kardashian Kalani shows up on my screen, I just see red, and my heart begins to race in rage. In addition to all her other contraception and “Asuelo got me pregnant by staring at me too hard from across the room” bullshit, I have to now watch her sit like a mute blob,  unable to make eye contact whenever she converses with her family on difficult topics. She did again last night - just sitting there, eyes downcast, saying fuck all, and making the non native speaker break the tough news to HER mother. It’s like she  thinks sitting there like a dumb, sobbing tub of lard will absolve her of responsibility for her actions, and garner her pity for the poor, poor overgrown baby she is. 

It’s the coping mechanism of a totally weak and ineffectual person, which I could forgive if she weren’t simultaneously such a smug, arrogant know-it-all who just loves shitting all over Asuelo ( the magical impregnator of innocent waifs) every chance she gets. 

Ugh, these people, these fucking people.

 

P.S.

Can someone  please explain to me how Eric can sit back and claim so sanctimoniously that Tasha is 19 and needs to grow up when she was the one who took in his broke ass after he was living in HIS CAR for several weeks? Whoever said that no good deed goes unpunished was so spot on. I just hope that Tasha has learned her lesson and leaves her dirt bag dad in his car after Leida bleeds him dry and dumps him....because we all know she will. I hope to hell that next time Tasha’s relationship math vis a vis her dad is just as cold and viscous as her dad’s was about her.

A few posters in the Live Thread suggested that Fernanda hop in her Jeep and volunteer/keep herself busy since she’s so bored during the day.

I can’t believe I’m defending a teenager who wants her mother-in-law to be her BFF and for everyone else to love her (plllllleaase!), but....last time I checked, it’s against the law for her drive in the US during the first 90 days.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if Fernanda (and other foreign spouses-to-be) had gotten into her Jeep and wanted to participate in organized activities during the day, there isn’t a whole lot anyone can do by themselves during the first 90 days, especially from the legal side of things.

She isn’t legally allowed to drive in this country (I’d imagine Larissa was in the same position) and while we did hear about Jay driving Ashley’s car at night,  he’s either an idiot who didn’t know/care about the restrictions or he had some all powerful international/Jamaican license to use in case he needed to show ID. I don’t remember the exact requirements for initially getting car insurance here, but I’m pretty sure the foreigners can’t be added to their future partners’ plans on day 10 even if they have a license to drive in their home country. 

I don’t even know what the rules are for foreign spouses to work or go to school after they’re married and are waiting for their green card (it’s way too late to Google), but in terms of volunteering before anyone says “I do”, those options are more limited than you’d think.

Many places that need/take volunteers (libraries, humane society, hospitals, senior citizen communities) also require fingerprints, TB tests, background checks, and valid identification. Most companies can’t/won’t risk allowing someone to volunteer, no matter how great they are, if they can’t provide certain documentation. Most companies don’t even want to take the time to train someone only to have them end up leaving a few weeks later.

A lot of the manufactured drama seems to stem from desperately bored folks who are homesick and irritated with the limitations that are placed on them. 

I don’t know what’s holding “the foreigners” back from walking through their neighborhoods, stopping for a coffee & small talk with the locals or even attending a lecture or art show at a library. I realize we aren’t dealing with a group of Einsteins, but if they’d ever actually leave the house by themselves during the day, they might be a lot happier. If they could be on some sort of schedule, get out and go somewhere (utilize a ride share company, ride the bus/subway) to explore their new hometowns, and practice their English while interacting with others, I think they’d be a bit happier and a hell of a lot less upset, clingy and/or resentful. Just my 2 cents.

I know there are people on this board who have married someone and moved away to a new country. There are others who’ve gone through the K-1 visa process as well. Would anyone mind sharing what their first 90 days were like? You undoubtedly have much more knowledge than I do about this issue. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience(s).

You can drive on an international drivers licence which is good for a year. It’s just a piece of paper from your local automotive club that extends you the privilege. Although it was frightening learning to drive on the other side of the road. Most times I would cycle, but without dedicated lanes even that was scary. I lived in nw Florida where public transport was scant and it was so bloody hot. I volunteered at the local school but what saved me was the hodgepodge community of Australian ex pats around the country. Message boards saved my life. It was 1998 so it wasn’t too tech with  no Skype or Facebook. We even had a dial up modem. It was very expensive to ring home, but a necessary indulgence. It got better when I gained some independence and friends, but yep it’s hard and I’m not an overly whiney person. I think for me it was a mixture of culture shock and home sickness.

I paid extra attention to Steven/Olga’s scenes this time (I made a point of doing so).

And while I think Steven is a jerk, there are legit parts of their scenes that make me think he’s probably a victim of bad editing.

Like Olga said, “but I can’t come to America IFI I don’t have visa.”

And then CUT TO:

That could’ve easily been a part of a larger conversation where Steven actually tried to help and find a solution for Olga to get a visa sooner!

I used to work in the auto insurance field, so I was curious about the legality of the 90-Day foreign visitors driving in the USA.  In North Carolina, if they are here legally on a visa (which Fernanda is), they can drive in the USA if they have a Mexican license.  Every state is different, but if she has a Mexican license, she's okay to drive according to NC law.

First, you must have a driver's license from your home country (remember, many of the countries of which these "90 Day Fiance's" are citizens are poor countries, in which driving and owning/having access to vehicles is a privilege enjoyed by those who have money).

It may very well be neither Fernanda or Larissa have driver's licenses from their home countries.

I live in a congested American city, so we have alternate means of transportation (subway, bus, rental bikes/scooters, Uber, etc.) but mopeds are generally something used by young teen boys, hipsters, and delivery people. Seeing a 30-ish? woman in a criss-cross top scooting around a residential neighborhood in the suburbs isn’t a very common sight.

Eric's dad was super shady, and I was totally down for it!! Eric was not picking up what he was putting down with his whole having to stand quietly by while your kids eff up and just watch it. Epic shade, dad. Epic shade.

Also, while I am 53, I suspect the roundhouse kick I wanted to aim at Eric's head while he was talking about tough love with Tasha (by kicking her out of the home she invited him to move into when she wasn't showing him the same tough love) could've taken him down for the count. I suspect Eric might be irony impaired.

Kalani crying those big, doe-eyed, silent sympathy tears was the best part of that whole episode.  I take great joy in the sheer terror she clearly feels about having to tell Uncle Sister about this new little development (that is all Asuelu's fault).

But these scenes with Steven and Olga are killing me.  I've never watched a reality show before where I literally feel desperate to step into the TV and help someone like I do Olga.  Can someone show these episodes to Putin?  I feel like someone, somewhere needs to step in and save this girl from having her child kidnapped by Richie Bitch.

Kalani and her inability to take any responsibility for her actions has been one of the major disappointments for me on this show.  In the first episode, I thought that finally we had a normal, responsible, likeable woman on this show.  I was so very wrong!

24/7 Sex Colt, it's not Larissa that got into a fight with Cousin Unfriendly... rather, it's the other way around. In the grand scheme of things, Larissa being upset isn't like, say, her cheating on him or reactivating her POF account. But that's transgression enough for "highly intelligent" "extremely sexy" "hugely dicked up" and if I might add my own tag to this list of grandiose self-professed qualities,  "grotesquely flabby freakazoid" Colt to start googling for flights back to Brazil. All smiles, Larissa comes back downstairs to apologize, and tell him she decided to put the ring back on. He doesn't look up from his laptop, and says, mouth pinched like a hen's ass: "that's nice." Colt coldly announces that he is heartbroken. She tries to explain her feelings about Unfriendly, but Colt doesn't want to hear about her feefees and courageously pushes through his debilitating heartbreak to shut that down: "I'm an adult and I need a partner" which is exactly what I'd expect a manbaby who doesn't need a partner because he's married to his mom, to say. Forbidding Larissa to express any further emotions for the entire duration of their marriage (which will last many decades, right?), he warns her of the harsh penalty for a couple of hours of what most would consider low-key upset: "You do it again, it's OVER." I mean, poor Colt has to worry about all this "wedding crap" and no one cares what Colt wants :sadface: which happens to be 24/7 weird sex. The way they were talking, he actually seems to be getting it from Larissa, who must have a fetish for fugly.

For fake drama, some awkward nerds have been hired to pretend to be Colt's friends. They are not from central casting; they're doing for free in exchange for a 15% discount on the next anime convention. Of course, they go to that same restaurant where the bespectacled, peanut faced waitress just happens to be on duty and just happens to be assigned their table. Sex maniac Colt, having learned a lesson, contorts his face with the herculean effort required of him not to raise his eyebrows and ask her to put on a cat suit and give him a BJ. 

In an earlier episode, Cousin Unfriendly suggested that Colt use Larissa like a cheap whore for 89 days, re-package her and ship her back on the 90th day. That idea didn't fall on deaf ears!

Father-of-the-Year Steven wants to rip a week-old baby from his mother's breast so he can take care of said baby in 'Murika. Why not? He seemed very capable as he shouted to Little Orphan Olga "feed him! feed him!" when the baby was fussing. Both parents are emotionally stunted in different ways and have a lot of growing up to do. As a tuxedo-clad Jesse would tell them, "work on yourselves!"

Furrowed Brow Leida gave up her medical career. Hahaahahhhahahhhahhahahhhhahhhahhhahahah heheheh ahahahhahah aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah HAHAHAHAHA. Who does she think she's fooling other than sad sack Eric? That irascible hellion is bursting with hatred, contempt and acrimony. My god this season is dark. We've never had a couple who share a child pre K-1 on this show before (I'm pretty sure, anyway?), and to have two in one season is really rough. In both cases, the scenario is so upsetting for the foreign fiancee, because it feels like their parental rights perpetually hang in the balance. 

Are Kalani and co. Mormon? I feel like they are, and have mentioned it a handful of times - including at the top of this episode - but I also might be making that up. If so, I can maybe muster some sympathy for her having a hella arrested development, being deeply ashamed of her sexuality, and projecting premarital sex and pregnancy as something the man "did to her"...blech. Whoever (her parents) and whatever (her religious upbringing) contributes to this whole mess, it's just all thoroughly fucked. Reproductive coercion is a very serious abuse, one I don't think Asuelo is actually guilty of (my guess is his big "sin" here is both of them deciding to use the ol' "pull and pray" method since he dislikes condoms, and he either fucked it up or it had its usual success rate at preventing pregnancy). Their whole situation is an excellent illustration of what conservative, sex-negative family values can result in (regardless of which religion it might be based in) -- adult children all still reliant on their parents, unplanned pregnancies, tons of emotional hangups and damage.

John and Fernanda's situation is the one I see over and over again in real life - a man in his late 20's and beyond, dating a teenager and getting pissed at said teenager for acting like a teenager - so I guess it's nice (??) to see it gender-swapped with Ashley and Jay. It's just hard to listen to all the talk about maturity issues, because 1.) of course there will be maturity issues with someone who has yet to fully mature and 2.) someone 10+ years older getting with a 18-20 year old doesn't really have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to maturity, either. It's not a good look on John to keep bringing up the drama at the club in Myrtle Beach, because god does that sentence in and of itself make me tired, and I'm younger than him.

There are a few reasons this gave me joy:

The scooter is not seen as a very powerful vehicle.  So it's like flouncing off after a fight and hopping on a unicycle.  

Scooters are small, Natalie is not (no hate, I'm a fat girl).  Big people on little things are comic to me.

Her family is Mormon, she grew up Mormon, but left the church as a teen.  But other posters are correct, birth control is definitely covered during your post baby appointments.  So even if you want to label first baby as ignorance, second baby is willful stupidity.

I'm choosing to believe that Steven is a product of creative editing and producer driven drama.  They seem very concerned about whether Olga will get her visa and I'm not sure if that's a legitimate concern or if they're playing it up for the story line.  I'm choosing to believe that Olga will get her visa soon and the three of them will happily travel to America together.  If Steven is really heinous enough to rip a newborn from it's mother's arms he should hire security upon entering the U.S. because if Eric/Leida and Ashley/Jay feel threatened by social media, Steven would certainly be in imminent danger.
