Watching the women shlepping their suitcases up and down the front stairs on the walkwat while a butler with champagne stands by the front door is so indicative of this franchise. The appearance of luxury and wealth, but done sooooooooo incompetently. Seriously, they couldn't have someone help them with their bags?

It even made me wish my sister had hair long enough for a pony tail so I could twirl it like Tree did Jac when she was upset.

Yeah it was really sweet, genuine the way she was curling her pony tail.  That entire scene was not in the reality tv script, that was a real moment.

The promo editing monkeys for this episode really got me. I was totally not expecting the kind of camaraderie I got in this episode.

LMAO!!! Wanna know the best part?  "Baggage Service & Storage" was one the amenities included in their room category.

No! The prize every week has to be wine or booze, never immunity. Alcohol Is like Popeye's spinach for real housewives.

JoeGo's kitchen antics reminded me of those as seen on tv product commercials. Tired of this happening to you? Then you need the Acme kitchen keeper. The kitchen keeper lets you chain your wife to the kitchen so that you, the husband and father, are only responsible for the care of your children in the most abstract way.

Most of that scene was absolute bullshit because JoeGo who was derping all over the kitchen going "duh, what's a baking sheet?" is later seen seasoning fresh fish filets on a baking sheet.

Hee.  He did look like he knew his way around those fillets though didn't he?  But that only means he picked a random thing to cook with, not that he knows what it's called.

Ugh.  I hate but can't heartily rebuke the idea that they're inherently terrible at multitasking.  These are people who can navigate the picture in picture television show they're watching, balance a beverage on their knee, manage their fantasy sports cards and have an entire discussion triggered by the word deflategate all at once.   I'm convinced the popcorn and chicken nugget burning is about being mentally lazy.    I mean I've never put up drywall before but if the instructions were on the back of each sheet....

Laughing at this conversation because I think they are terrible at multitasking unless it's something they want to do. I could cook dinner, know exactly what each of 6 boys were doing, help with homework and make sure the dogs weren't tearing anything up all at the same time, but my husband couldn't watch tv and one of the kids at the same time. I have actually repaired holes in drywall in our house that he started but couldn't finish because something else came up. But you better believe his car and garage are spotless and organized. haha

Finally watched the episode on the rerun. I agree with all the other posters who stated how nice it was to see the women getting along and all the real moments. But damn Cow. Having to leave the table to cry about Nick after the others shared "proud mama" moments?! She can just miss me with that shit. Guess what Cow, you have two other children, one of which you screwed up and another of which you seem to not realize still exists. When the other women have their proud mama moments, you too could share your proud moments concerning Ashley or that other one. Or even your proud moments with Nick because I know they occur often as he works through life on the spectrum. Or just listen and be happy for your friends. Why is the default always to go into a crying jag? Oh that's right, because it's an easy way to get attention.

As much as Siggy has annoyed me previously, she was worth her weight in gold this episode in mediating. Dolores too.

And it can't be said enough: Cow needs serious mental help. Much more than yoga can provide.

I agree with everything you said. Jacqueline has actually boasted about his ability to spell. I've heard her say and so has Melissa because she said he spells words her kids can't. She's just an attention whore. Also agree with the person who said that Siggy and Delores are perfect additions to this group. I really like them.

Theresa totally needs to do yoga instructor training. She was really good with the girls. I love how no-nonsense and more practical she is now. Once upon a time, she would have had a whole bunch of bags packed for a weekend trip to a place they wouldn't depart until time to go home, just like Melissa.

I feel sorry for CJ since I grew up with that situation, no fun being the invisible child. And how is it that Jac can do a headstand? Someone explain this to me, seems so unfair. The girl is a blubbering blob so how can this be?

I feel like we dodged a bullet since the "fight" was a fake out , but I'm glad it was fake.

SO MUCH THIS. Those proud moments are endless, and it is amazing. My son has made so many leaps and bounds over the past two years, the tears I shed are mostly from joy. I totally understand her sadness and maybe she is just starting to see that Nick will never "recover." But he has clearly progressed tremendously since when we first found out about his autism. That is a reflection of hard work and therapy and she really should be proud of him and herself too. I think that's what bugs me most about Jac being on the show again. I know it's a stretch to even think this but…she completely could have used this platform to spread autism awareness and showing her daily life with Nick, dealing with his therapies, his ups and downs, going to parent support groups, researching funding for therapies (she's not far off about the financial hardships of raising a child on the spectrum, and most therapies and treatments are not covered by insurance), speaking engagements, etc. New Jersey currently has the highest ASD diagnosis rate in the country, and she really could have connected with local women here who may be going through something similar. It could have been the subject of her book, rather than that stupid "Get Your It Together" nonsense, desperately hanging on to some semblance of youth and Vegas party girl. But instead she's using it to act like a complete psycho and alienate everything and everybody around her.

There is something off-putting and distracting about Jacqueline's face.  It is seriously frozen solid.  She can only move her bottom jaw, that's it.  She talks like a person does when their novocaine has not worn off yet.  Watch and see if you notice it! Her top lip does not move, it appears like a speech impediment.

If all of us tweet that we liked the gatherings sans fights...maybe satan andy and bravo might stop meddling to create drama.

I will say Tre is more mellow then she used to be.

I get why Siggy is on the show...shes the only one to make any headway with Jacqueline.

Nick is such a sweet little boy. I hope Jac doesn't feel sorry for her son or ever express that type of fear or emotion in front of him. His autism isn't who he is and the worse thing for any child is to feel lesser than for being different rather than feeling special.

It was nice to see the women get along so well for so long. Based on the previews, the drama may be returning soon enough.

Teresa does seem more mellow, it's good that she may have actually learned something from "camp" besides yoga! I am enjoying her this season.

Joe Giudice's fears about leaving his wife and daughters alone came through loud and clear. First time Juicy ever had an agenda on the show-ie: the Giudice house will be on lockdown while he is gone!!

As a mother, I empathize with Jaq, but, she is such an attention whore. I think she is truly off mentally.. I laughed when Chris' empty wine cellar was discussed, because I recently saw the listing for their house, and the photos showed a completely empty giant wine cellar!! ( I can just see Jaq and Chris sitting at the kitchen table commiserating over the last drops of the very last bottle of wine)!

God, Melissa is high maintenance. Four bags for an overnight?! Judging from the first thing in the morning scene when Tre, Siggy, and Dolores were sans makeup, and Melissa had a full face of professionally applied looking makeup, I think she had a tiny makeup artist stowed in one of those 4 bags!! She is vain, insincere, and insecure.

I wish Siggy would tone it down a notch. I can't help but like her, but, she is trying too hard. Dolores doesn't seem suited for this show.

I don't think CJ is 'forgotten' at all.   I do think when you have a child with medical problems, be it autism or something else, it's hard to put that to the side because you're dealing with that 24/7.  I sometimes think that others who are fortunate to have healthy children don't fully appreciate how much of a blessing that is.  I do think the other housewives were supportive and I give them kudos for that.

I'm blessed to have healthy children but the one person I know who has an autistic child spends so much time and energy on that child.  There are two other children.  Those children know they are just as loved but understand the focus that is given their autistic brother.  They know they are loved just as much but at the same time they understand their brother's needs.

I agree with that. Growing up I had two friends with a younger brother that had Muscular Dystrophy. A really bad case - Andy basically had no motor skills at all and spent his entire life in a specially made wheelchair. It was very sad. Irma (their mother), basically spent 24/7 caring for him and they had all sorts of very expensive therapy equipment and specialists coming to the house. They were actually pretty wealthy and their very nice house on the water in LI was always a complete mess (Irma refused to get a housekeeper which maybe cause she had hoarder issues looking back). But Pam and Karen loved their brother and even at age 10 (and beyond) understood why their mother spent all her time with him and ignored the mess. We spent a lot of time with Andy and Irma when I came (fairly often) over.

Unfortunately Andy died at 16 (I had graduated college and was living in DC and lost touch with the sisters), and Irma and Ira (her husband) ended up abandoning the house (incredibly bizarre given its value) in grief and moved to Florida.

To make a long story short (re how hard a special needs child is but an interesting aftermath) a bunch of abandoned suburban housecats ended up living in the speedboat they left in the driveway and in the backyard, which my mother stepped in as a cat colony. She spent years feeding and TNR (trap-neuter-release) with the Pearlman's consent (the one time she saw them). That's how I got my Winston and Clementine plus about another dozen kittens adopted by other family members. Yes - in case you're wondering - the neighbors were very pissed. Tried to get it condemned for years (see 2' grass plus very valuable waterfront property). Karen eventually came back 10 years later to sell it as a knockdown. It's now a $2M+ house (neighbors very pleased).

The only reason I watched was to see the big blow-up between Teresa and Jacqueline that Bravo showed in the "next week on..."  and of course I was disappointed.

I prefer watching fights to watching them getting along.  I can watch my own friends get along.  It's actually kind of boring, but I like my friends so I enjoy watching them.  I don't like the RH castmembers and the only thing they bring to me is knowing that there are people out there who act like that and thankfulness that I don't know them.

And I really don't...I can't tell the new ones apart.  And their stories are boring.  One wants her kids to get off their phones and talk to her.  Yawn.  Another (or maybe it's the same one?) wants to have a career and owns a gym but the employees complain that she's not there running it, and she acknowledges that she really needs to start showing up there.  Stupid.  And one or the other wants to remodel her kitchen but I gather her ex-husband controls the money and he calls people in to repaint her cabinets instead, without her permission.  Boring AND maddening.

Melissa grates, I despair at the idea that people will buy from her store because she owns it, and I find her husband repellent.  Jacqueline, well, plenty of people can't stand her so I don't need to elaborate on that one.  Teresa?  Plenty has been said about her, but Teresa as yoga instructor does not interest me.  I'm glad if she came out of prison a nicer, more mellow person--she definitely needed it.  But she's either a crook or married to one, and I don't need to be subjected to a redemption arc for someone who I don't think really deserves it; she had every advantage in the world and blew it, while plenty of people who were born behind the eight ball and never really had a chance are rotting in state prisons not learning yoga.

It's weird.  I can't stand shows like Jerry Springer where people fight, but it has never bothered me on any of the RH franchises.  I'm not even the type who will slow down to see a car wreck--it's none of my business and I feel bad for the people being gawked at.  I guess all that restraint gets channeled into watching obnoxious "real" housewives throw down because I do enjoy that.

Maybe Bravo wasn't down with filming that. Not to mention, she'd probably get pounded with "exploitation" accusations.

But she did say on twitter that CJ doesn't want any attention or mention on the show since he is a teen now.  I have to respect that she is at least respecting one of her children's privacy. The other ones she has thrown to the wolves for a paycheck.

I agree. Personally, I thought that the last time she was on she showed too much of Nick and what he was going through. I appreciate HER speaking out about it and raising awareness, but as a mother of a child on the spectrum, I know how badly too much stimulation can effect these little guys. Having all the extra people around, the lights, the cameras, etc. It's too much. The less of Nick, the better, IMO.

I agree, Ghoulina- I find it very exploitive for the Laurita's to film their son.  Autism is obviously a big part of their lives, and it should be included by them discussing it, but Nicholas gains nothing from having strangers with bright lights and cameras around him. I literally cringe when they make him perform for the camera.

Have you ever had Ham in a Can? It’s comes in a triangular can with a key attached. You pop off the key, stick it through the hole on the side of the can and start turning. A strip of metal peels off and voila, can opened.

canned-ham.jpg

Whenever  Jacqueline appears on screen, I find myself searching for 2 keys behind her ears. I think she has them and turns them just a bit every time she feels the need to “tighten” up. I did this with Adrienne Maloof too.

I’m a bit weird.

But, we don't know that he's losing anything by being filmed, either.  I'm by no means a fan of Jac's, but I can't pretend to know what's best for her particular special needs child, and personally don't see that the Lauritas are exploiting Nick any more than the Giudices do Milania, who's basically a dancing monkey at this point.

They really need to stop with the whole "Joe as the hapless househusband" schtick.  No one is buying it.  They obviously have nannies and it's hard to believe Joe doesn't know what a baking sheet is after they show him with fish filets on said sheet (wrapped in foil, even) sprinkling with spices like he knows what the hell he's doing.  God.

It was nice to see the girls getting along although Jacqueline is EXHAUSTING.  Good god.  I cannot stand "look at me!!!!" types and she's got that quality in spades.  Talk about desperately trying to create drama. And the way she does it which the strange voices is just....off putting.  The woman needs therapy.  Lots and lots of therapy.

Me too! Though I do take note of the car wreck cause I'm curious about why I've been in traffic for all that long (meet I-395/695 in DC and why people can't seem to competently drive).

IMO - the entire premise of the RH shows (now) is to see mature women (maybe wealthy or not) fight about stupid shit (excuse my language). I can also watch my own friends getting along and we're probably pretty boring...except when we've had a few too many drinks...

I get that RH shows are all about TMI, but I could have done without Melissa telling Teresa what her brother says to her in bed at night. It was an otherwise cute snuggling moment between two former foes and Mel kind of killed it with the "will you suck me?" thing. (Paraphrasing.)

I wouldn't want to know what my sibling does or doesn't do in bed but then again, nothing seems inappropriate for the NJ cast...Richie Wakile groped Rosie's breasts on camera! I guess, in his mind, since she's gay "it doesn't count." And I remember JoeGo telling Teresa at least twice that she's looked sexy. ("You look nice," is one thing...)

Another point of view here:  This is a perfect episode to demonstrate what editing can do and twist what actually went on....  The preview 'suggested' that something bad happened between Jaq and Tre.  That didn't happen.

Being a parent of a child who is autistic is trying, stressful and extremely hard.  I really felt for Jaq when she was crying over Nick.  I can't imagine what that would be like.  At least Tre, for a change, showed some sympathy about it.  Stress over a child can have overwhelming side effects including paranoia and I think that has a lot to do with Jaq's reaction about the conversation at the pool.  Yeah, I realize many will not agree with this but as a parent, I would gladly go to prison for a year rather than have my child have a  disorder or be sick.  Jaq has her faults but I give her all sorts of passes because of what she goes through everyday with her child.

When my son was little he had a little boy in his class who was autistic.  My son wanted to invite him to his seventh birthday party.  Fine with me.  His mother was in tears at the party because it was the first non autistic party her son was ever invited to.  It's tough, way tough so I give Jaq a lot of leeway.

My 6 year has autism and I have been there just like Jac,  to know that your child may not ever do what other children do is hard.  As my child gets older i do notice  his limitations compared to other 6 year olds.  Do I dwell on it,  no,  but there have been a couple  times I left a room because it hurt pretty damn bad that he might not ever do things I just assumed he would when he was born.  We have amazing days and I don't really think about or compare him to other children but sometimes it does sneak up on you.  I adore my son and and am proud of how far he's come.  I think it's pretty normal to worry especially as a child with a disability gets older.  Sorry if this isn't making sense.

@breezy424,   your story about your sweet child inviting his classmate to his party,  was nice.  I think my second reaction after thanking  you,  would be to worry how my son would be at the party.  Children  with Autism can get overwhelmed and that's not fun at a party full of kids.

Just this summer my son who loves going everywhere and is pretty good in crowds,  had a meltdown at a sea life aquarium. .My point is, I give Jacqueline a big pass when it comes to Nicolas. I know that she's nuts,  but I connect on this with her.

I haven't watched Rhonj in a while but Ive seen about the last 3 episodes and I'm enjoying the new ladies.
