Jessa, Ben and Their Brood: Making a (Diaper) Mountain out of a Mold House

The Duggars post about politics on social media frequently, but these social media posts are not an invitation to discuss politics here in this forum. This rule extends to Duggar adjacent families, friends, associates etc. Such discussions are a violation of the Politics Policy.

I understand with recent current events there may be a desire to discuss certain social media postings of those in the Duggar realm as they relate to politics- this is not the place for those discussions. If you believe someone has violated forum rules, report them, do not respond or engage.

I can’t believe she’d publicly share that info and risk compromising the dr’s willing to do this.

I’m sorry, I may have phrased that wrong. To clarify, I meant I’m surprised that GUINN would take the risk on exposing these doctors.
because I am sure that she and others of her persuasion want them to stay in business so they can continue to get their horse pills!  Not that *I* meant they shouldn’t be exposed and prosecuted!

As part of this crew she's probably dumb enough to believe that what she confides on social media to her conservative fundie buds couldn't possibly be observed by ebil satanic libruls with different views.

I've tried for years not to disdain these people completely but Covid's 2021 manifestation has really pushed me over the edge.

Because some people would rather trust what they've read on Facebook or Instagram or heard on Fox "News" than an actual physician, particularly if they think that physician might be <gasp> a Democrat (AKA commie/reptilian/cannibal/pedophile/Satanist).  Plus, they don't trust newfangled medications; if something is taken by horses and cattle it must be OK.  After all, COVID isn't actually bad; it's just being blown up by doctors and hospitals so they can make money and by politicians so they can take away people's rights and by Bill Gates so he can give everyone a microchip.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find a drink after typing that bullshit.  And I don't even drink.

Ok - I could accept all of that IF they didn’t go running to the hospital when their home remedies don’t work. Don’t you dare take an ER bed from someone else.

There’s a Bible verse that says to follow your government. I’ll look for it.

Found it.

The Bible speaks decisively to this issue. Romans 13:1-2 says: "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow."

Unfortunately not all doctors are behaving ethically during the pandemic. I know some anti-vax nuts in my teacher FB group who are doctor shopping for doctors who will write fake medical exemptions from the vaccine (it's now required for work), and also ivermectin prescriptions. There's always a few people saying that their doctor will write anything they want -- fake medical exemptions, you name it.

I am actually so worried if Jessa takes this shit and is nursing Fern, that Fern could get poisoned.

A local ER doc was recently fired after placing a notice on an anti-mask FB site that he was willing to write notes exempting kids from wearing masks at school for 50 bucks a pop.

In Ohio, the State Medical Board clamped down on the overprescribing of hydroxychloroquine in the early days of the pandemic because pharmacies were having trouble keeping it in stock for patients who take it for arthritis.  Any doc found to be writing multiple prescriptions for it was investigated and their license suspended if found to be prescribing it for non-arthritis related reasons.

Invermectin can be used to treat scabies in kids though usually not newborns. so it is safe in proper doses.  Not very much gets into the breast milk, so I don't think Fern is at risk.  The Lord protects idiots and small children and, between Jessa and Fern, they've got both bases covered.

Has anyone reported Guinn to Facebook for spreading misinformation?

The endless "go get a vaccine" commercials that we cannot avoid here in the NYC area are aimed at an entirely different demographic than you describe here as are the low vaccine neighborhoods.

Apparently the Seewald clan was at a family wedding this past weekend per Guinn’s Facebook posts. One of Bin’s sisters is in quite the skimpy dress.

That was Jessica, and it looks like she got a tattoo. Boy, talk about black sheep of the family. A divorced working woman with short hair and body ink. I wonder if Bin and Jessa clutch their pearls or pretend she doesn't exist.

True, but the NYC area is very different from the Deep South.  I've lived in both places; it's less a different region than a completely different world.  From what I understand of NYC, low levels of vaccination in neighborhoods is probably more of lack of opportunity/access and suspicion of government that's based at least somewhat in history (people keep citing the Tuskegee syphilis study and such) rather than simply adherence to social media nonscientific nonsense.

There is plenty of opportunity and access. A good number of people refusing to vaccinate are health care workers.

About two thirds of health care workers in NYC are vaccinated which is significantly better than the overall NY vaccination rate of just over 50%.  Also, health care workers are far more likely to work in places where vaccines are mandated. I doubt anyone feels they are a group that needs to be targeted by vaccine ads.

For people like Guinn Seewald, I doubt there is any sort of advertising that would sway her.   Even pastors who were opposed to vaccination, got COVID and changed their minds seem to have a hard time convincing their congregations to do the same.

I'm not getting sentimental, YOU'RE getting sentimental!  There's nothing to see here.  There's dust in my eyes!!!  😭

I think so too. Actually, Jessa had a spunky personality too. It's just calcified into a bitter woman who doesn't give a crap about anything other than maintaining a super-Godly life and churning out feral kids.

Some medical professionals, cops, fire fighters and teachers fall prey to the same nonsense as Guinn, and some have other reasons. But the vast majority of them are pro covid vax, or at least not anti covid vax, much like the rest of the population.

And if we're honest, if the government was withholding the vaccine, half of the same folks would be holding marches and demonstrations to get their hands on it.

I can see Jessa and Ben going either way on this one. Fortunately, we've seen no Q signs from either of them, although they could be keeping it on the down low.

It’s also used in small amounts to treat rosacea topically. Again, nothing at all to do with covid or any virus.

I have this theory that any woman who divorces and leaves the fundie lifestyle has to be made of very strong stuff, and Jessica Seewald is exhibit a. She looks like someone who takes no shit from anyone.

I can see her and Jessa not getting on at all.

One thing that always strikes me about the Duggar in-laws is that they have family members who have left the lifestyle and yet those family members are still loved. I see it with Anna's sister, Katey's brother, Ben's sister ...

The Duggars just seem incapable of that kind of love. I wonder how they feel witnessing it.

Yikes. That’s some hate aging.

Falling in man-love with Jim Bob and then breaking up with him really accelerates the aging process. Some plastic surgeon should go into business  helping all these prematurely balding, wrinkly, fat, undesirable looking patriarchs regain their youth.

Botox, fillers, healthy diet, tanning, hair replacement systems, Propecia, Cialis, penis enlargement surgeries. You could probably make a killing if you came up with the right religious angle. ( I can see Jeremy doing all of this, by the way.)

I’m not sure if it will, Jessa has a spunky personality, she might want her girls too because then they won’t be a bunch of pushovers and they can marry someone like Ben who they can boss around, she may reign them in a bit but not too much.
