First picture in the.. what looks like.. tux rental store.. WHO dresses like that, Jeremy??? maybe men going to an IMPORTANT business meeting?  I just can't with him and his pretentious shit.

I was thinking their home was furnished, so the TV came with the house. Also, Jeremy has never bought into the Gothard world rules. He's fine with demanding the rest of us follow his rules, but he isn't going to let some wacky old guy tell him he can't watch TV or that his wife and daughters half to wear dresses and have hair down to his waist.

I wonder if Jinger has any close friends in LA? All I seem to hear about are Jeremy's friends. I can't see her going out and leaving the kids with Jeremy, but since they're not social distancing anyway, she could have a church friend over for coffee or something.

Me too!

In my case it was that "orange" post the other day. It may have been intended as some kind of Syracuse U thing - but it just struck me as something a high school kid would put on IG when they were thrilled with their new possessions. And, I intend no offense to high school kids by that remark.

Jer may think he's displaying his "carefully curated life" on IG. But . . .

True, that. And, he won't be the first pretentious twat to enter the ministry. Not that the ministry has any kind of monopoly on pretentious twats. Sadly, they are not rare enough in this world.

I actually looked at an online thesaurus and tried to find a word that worked better than "pretentious," because he's way past that.

I think OP meant that the house in which they reside isn't theirs. If that's not the Vuolos residence, shame on Jeremy. But I think that's their place.

Go clarify, I meant "their house" as in where they reside, as opposed to being at someone else's house.

I hate RFP but good for them having a tv. I really don't know why the Duggars like to virtue signal about a TV.

Because TV is where you find stuff that's not Gothard approved. Like girls in pants, strong women, and all kinds of Nike! Porn everywhere!! Dancing!

Yeah, that's what I meant. They live there, but as far as I know, they're just long-term guests crashing at that house, it's not theirs and neither is much that's in it. Maybe that's wrong...but when I look at that gourmet kitchen and those two adults who can't cook, that's what I assume anyhow🤐

I think that "no TV" crap was all part of their Gothard/IBLP rules. And something they could talk about  - on their f*cking TV SHOW - which allowed them to skirt around the seriously ugly sh*t that they believe, and avoid actually coming out on TV as Gothardites. The show has never been upfront about their relationship with IBLP/Gothard. if all you knew about them was what TLC shared, you'd think that JB and Meech were some kind of speshul religious leaders who'd figured it all out for themselves or something.

As has been mentioned, Jer wasn't from a Gothard family.  I'm sure there are plenty of overlaps with the Duggars as to theology, but AFAIK Jer was never into all those oddball dress codes or living in a separatist compound, etc. Jer raised JB's hackles from the get-go, and I'm sure his being no part of IBLP must have factored in there somewhere. Jer's dad Chuck strikes me as a windbag religious zealot who's got too much of an ego to work with others and thus is out there with his "own" church and preaching. I'm sure JB knew that Chuck wasn't going to blend in quietly with the Duggars and their buddies. So there was that too.

yet Jeremy is very much into his own oddball dress code. He dresses a certain way to get attention, create an image. to appear smarter, better than others, etc.

much as the duggars and their fellow fundies dress/dressed for attention, to let every know how they are more godly, modest, frugal, etc

Jeremy has an agenda with how he dresses and JB had one for how his family dressed.

You can find a lot more porn on the Internet (and also help to escape a cult), but they have no problem using it. I don't get their logic. You can put a parental lock on a TV.

I expect they're still blindly following Gothard's exact rules and language .....

And he laid down all his rules from the 60s into maybe the early-to-mid 90s. After that he didn't come up with anything new, I don't think. He and his crowd just went on reciting and reprinting stuff he'd already said -- After all, those were the exact words of the founder of the cult! ..... And the whole point of the cult is that we're not supposed to think....just follow those who've dubbed themselves patriarchs. (in BG's case, not a biological but an ideological patriarch, of course...)

So, you know, the law was laid down pre-internet. And that's what we're going with!

And you can password protect your computer too for that matter. But it's all about control for them.

About the constant Nike company pics: aren't people of their political persuasion supposed to be boycotting Nike because of their endorsement of a certain controversial former NFL player? Or does Jeremy pick and choose what to follow according to what fits his needs best? (That's rhetorical; we know he and the Duggars and rest of the lot pick and choose whatever suits them best) And not to be too mean because glass houses and all, but shouldn't someone who's desperately seeking some sort of partnership with an athletic brand be in better shape? Hair loss can't be helped, but you can certainly keep yourself looking healthy, especially when you're not the one doing everything around the house while taking care of two kids alone, or working, or really giving your all to study. I guess his golf games are his exercise. Seems to me though that if he tells OfVuolo he's going to "practice his game", he's actually talking about his brown-nosing skills rather than actual golf.

The entire Duggar empire is built on putting children on camera. I find it impossible to believe that RFP, FameWhore Supreme, suddenly developed an awareness that exploiting his children on SM might be ill-advised. And Jinger, being a woman and all, wouldn’t get a vote.

Something else is up.

Maybe someone went too far.... idk, but they are doing to with intent..... I’m with you, something is up.

I thought about the safety of children.  Showing everything about them.  They have done a lot of pictures of their home and their daughter.  Somebody with I'll intent could put all of that together.

With that said they have posted for years nearly every day and ever so this no pictures is really puzzling.

I thought it was a money thing.  Maybe it is.  Wouldn't the baby be about three months about now or soon?  This would be family photo shoot time.

We'll see.

I mean, if it's truly a safety issue, all the pictures they post from their house, even of just him and Jinger, compromise their safety. Pictures of interiors can be extremely useful for burglars (or potential kidnappers). It's fucking creepy how much people can glean from random things in pictures.

I think the way Jeremy goes about it is definitely annoying and phony. That being said, I can understand the appeal of collecting or just getting specific, valuable or rare items, no matter the age (even though I'm not a collector myself).

Sneaker culture does have a fascinating history behind it, but I assume Jeremy's interest in it is fairly superficial.

Oh I collect oddly specific stuff myself. I don't object to people collecting things or even being dorks about their collection. But making a whole social media post to show off your shoes is something else entirely, in my opinion.

Jeremy is all about brand names and expensive tastes. He favors Nike sneakers probably because they're more expensive. No one gets between Jeremy and his luxury items.

The sneakers makes sense to me. I know folks who have dozens of Nikes and their original boxes. They all look spectacularly new with the exception of the ones they wear when raining, and even those look better than any sneakers I own. Certain ones they won't wear, some are only for indoor events, and some are for work and casual wear.

The lack of kid pictures still has me curious. If they're worried about deranged followers, they still have a boatload of Lissy pics on their IG (and the interior of their home). Plus infants change. I doubt anyone would be able to pick out EJ walking down the street at age 2 by her infant pics.

Alyssa Bates shut down her IG for a time when her oldest was about a year. She did it because posters were making rude comments, like asking if her daughter was autistic and being less then kind about the kid's looks. I don't follow any celebrities on IG so I don't know how long it lasted, but I doubt more than a month.

I'm unsure how IG works so I don't know if checking an IG page counts as a click. Or maybe they're playing their followers to just gain general curiosity and interest. Or maybe they're intentionally encouraging Z celebrity Paps to follow them to try and snap a pic. SM certainly has given Paps less options in getting elusive pics of any celebrities. If that's the case, J & J are truly dumb on so many levels.

I didn't even know about this case when I was posting yesterday about how Jeremy and Jinger posting any interiors of their home could be dangerous:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/feb/11/acrobat-thieves-use-instagram-to-stake-out-milan-celebrities-homes

Quote

Nicknamed the “acrobat thieves”, a gang of four have been arrested in Milan after allegedly monitoring the movements of the city’s celebrities and influencers on Instagram before scaling their apartment buildings and robbing their homes. . . . The gang are said to have used Instagram to spy on their targets meticulously, reconstructing their movements, getting a glimpse inside their homes and determining the type of windows they had.

Jeremy and Jinger are pretty low-hanging fruit as far as L.A. is concerned, but I still think their social media is an open invite to thieves.

I certainly hope it's not any health or safety issues driving the absence of photos.

The lack of photos is however generating attention in and of itself.   Maybe Jeremy fancies the idea of zigging when the rest of the family is zagging in order to stand out and garner a public swell of inquiries.

If I'm remembering correctly, around 10 years ago a group of teen girls used SM to monitor celebrities and rip them off.

Robber A to Robber B:

Ok Fred, you go after the pocket squares in the bedroom and I’ll go for the pens in the study.

I’m not trying to make light of being robbed. I’m sure it is devastating (especially when things like irreplaceable heirloom jewelry are stolen) and it can take away the feeling of being safe in one’s own home.

Random fans have just shown up to the big house before. Its creepy, but nothing outweighs these people's love of attention. Even the risk of something terrible happen to their blessings.

I don't think they have, but Cade and Gabby are bigger celebs than the Vuolos and I expect that People mag will get an exclusive with first pictures of their baby while Jinger and Jeremy got no such coverage.
