Man, that was good. And two more parts, yes! I cannot wait to hear what choice words Ken has for Brandi when/if the hubbies make an appearance.

 

I have to echo how bad the makeup and lighting was. Seriously, what the hell? And Brandi's jacked face had me in 100% pain. Her hair was nice, but the color was almost the same as her skin tone (like with TMCFR), and that's never a good look.

 

Yeah, which is one reason why I wasn't surprised that Andy didn't make a big deal out of it this time. Teresa Giudice has called three of her fellow HWs a "cunt" on camera, without a peep from Andy IIRC, so it seems he isn't personally offended when the word is used amongst the HWs.

 

But, unless you're privy to how someone interacts with their kids and raises them, then why would you hope for all custody to be taken from a parent that you personally don't know? Brandi might be the biggest twat that ever twatted in terms of the show and social media, but that doesn't mean she's an unfit parent. Even Kyle said Brandi is a good mother, and she surely knows more than any of us viewers. Plus, as another poster mentioned, we don't know how Eddie and LeAnn are behind closed doors. They may get sloppy drunk on the regular themselves.

Yes, when we saw that make-up person spackling Kim's face, I couldn't help but think that MORE make-up on an older face does not make a person look better.  It just makes them look that much more dried out.

And they all need to let go of those fake eyelashes that look like tarantulas and hide their eyes.

 

All of these women are from LA and this was taped in NYC.  So the makeup artist would be a Bravo hire.  I wonder if this was like a friend of Andy's that needed the work or if they told the artists to make them look bad.  I've had HD makeup applied and I thought it looked a fright.  I kept saying this can't be right but they pointed me to the other made up faces and said see?  This is how it looks.  So these women were all made up too heavy, colors too opaque (with the one exception being Yo who may have had her make up done in her room by a real professional).  I mean all the good artists were already booked by designers for fashion week since that was when this was filmed.

 

I'm waiting for one of them to tweet something about it.  I just couldn't believe they all looked so bad.

I think Brandi's gone next season. The way Andy asked what she said when she called Kyle the c-word and she repeated it and he said, 'Ok'. It was one of those Oks that your mother gives you BEFORE they slap the crap out of you.

Kyle does look bad. I don't know if it's her lipstick or the hair, but she looks so severe. She looks so much better with less makeup, they all do. Lisa Rinna is really pretty without a lot of makeup too. I will say LisaR is a win for me for best dressed. Both she and Yolanda's dresses are Victoria Beckham and the winter white looks amazing on them. I agree, Yolanda looked very pretty. But I wouldn't describe any of them as old hags, they all look great for their age, well except for Kim Richards, but I'm extremely biased there.

We couldn't figure out if it was the hairstyle, something different with the makeup, weight loss, or something else entirely.  

 

I thought Kyle's style had improved exponentially this season compared to earlier seasons so I was kind of disappointed something about her appearance was "off" during the reunion.  

 

 

I actually like Camille, particularly when she isn't self- aware, I find her to be entertaining in a pompous self-important way. I also think she has shown she is capable of compassion and grace. I like her.

 

Camille was so deliciously grandiose in season 1 that I loved every scene she was in.  Huge difference, IMO, between the "villain" Camille and the "villain" vapid, repulsive Brandi.  I'll take a delusional hot tub Camille comparing herself to Jesus over a near naked, drunken, tampon-slinging Brandi anytime.  

 

And kudos to Camille for being able to nut up and apologize for her shady comment about Mauricio loving the ladies after the Dinner from Hell.  

 

This is something I expect no one to ever see coming from Brandi.  Even at her very self-absorbed worst, Camille was civilized and had manners, both of which Brandi is sorely lacking.

I completely agree. She's a beautiful woman but she's at the age now where she needs to update the look a bit to be a little more age appropriate. It would take a few more years off her face.

True - as is, LisaV has that aging soap star thing happening, sort of a combination of Joan Collins and Linda Evans.

Lisa looks a lot better dressed down - I'd like to see her wear more boots with her jeans though; all those high heels make her look a bit desperate imo.

I agree with your entire post but mostly this line here. I think everyone, with the exception of BG and Kim, are really beautiful, especially Rinna and Yo. So they're older, are they supposed to stop caring what they look like, just go away or die because they have a few lines?

 

 

I love to snark, but on this issue I feel for all of them because it's "damned if you do, and damned if you don't." If they get work done, then that's targeted, but if they don't have the work done, then they're "old hags." And apparently, according to Brandi, "menopausal" is the worst insult you can lob at someone!

 

ETA: Question - I thought HD make-up was designed especially for use on occasions like this, to look best on high-def screens. So why do the contouring lines and illuminators show up as harsh white stripes on camera?

While I agree that Brandi is a disgusting piece of trash, I don't think her sexual history means that Eddie and Leann have one up on her. Unless she's having sex in front of the kids or is putting them in danger because of her sexual behavior, it's not a reason for her to lose custody. That would mean all porn stars shouldn't have custody of their kids. As i said before, we don't know what happens in E & L's house but L has proven herself to be unhinged in the media over and over again.

Absolutely. It's why I don't think Brandi really works as a "villain" or a "love to hate" character on the show. She's not a Kenya or a Tamra Barney or even a S1 Camille, all of whom exude confidence and ownership over their actions. They know what they're doing, and they don't care whether you like them or not.

 

It gets a bit tiresome for me to see all the "Brandi's an asshole" chatter, because while she totally is responsible for people hating her, it's not entertaining to me to watch someone so clueless get it wrong time and again. Girl just ain't that bright and doesn't fathom the inappropriateness of her actions. She's just sort of sad and exhausting to me, as opposed to being deliciously evil in the way some of the other women can be. She wants to be liked but has no idea how to go about it properly, so then it's just awkward to see her fumble from episode to episode doing all the wrong things.

I remember a few years ago when Brandi talked about having a one night stand with Gerard Butler. He initially denied that it happened, which was awkward for Brandi, as she had to give a few more details to back up her claim that she did indeed have a one night stand with this guy. He did eventually agree it had happened, but added insult to injury by saying that he never did catch her name and didn't really remember much about the encounter.  At the time I thought that the entire thing must have been extremely humiliating for her, and also that she was such a dumb ass for starting the whole thing to begin with.

 

Now we have a similar situation. She claims to have had sex with a guy that she just met, and he is denying that it happened. This is just something that I cannot fathom. Having to play defense to prove my claims that I had a one-night stand. Not that there is a thing wrong with a consenting adult doing whatever she wants, but clearly these guys don't want to talk about the encounter in the media like she does. What about this is hard for her to understand? Another example of Brandi the Truth Cannon not understanding why other people prefer to live their lives with some discretion.

I also seem to recall Camille explaining her "art of war" strategy with Kyle as remaining calm so as to make the other person appear even more irrational and, in essence, winning any argument by default.  

 

And she was right.  Her refusal to retort in kind when Kyle screeched "YOU'RE A FUCKING LIAR, CAMILLE!!!" made Kyle appear even more unhinged in that scene. 

 

The fights from season 1 were absolutely lighthearted fare in comparison to the past couple of seasons.

I also laughed longer than I should at Lisa's statement that Amsterboy had been texting her practically begging her to join up with them.  I wonder if that's why he was late to their "date," because he was busy trying to get Lisa to join them.  I also really wish Bravo would have clarified just how late he was.  It seems to me Brandi said at some point she had already had 3 glasses of wine, but I'm not sure if she made this statement when he arrived or later in the evening.  

 

You would think at some point Brandi would learn the meaning of discretion and put it into use, if for no other reason than to avoid this type of Butler/Amsterboy humiliation.

 

Her seeming inability to learn from her repeated faux pas just mystifies me.  She is either absolutely clueless or absolutely shameless.  Or a little of both perhaps.

It was not a one night stand, as Butler stated it was only "one-afternooner" , as to why he denied it first you are right, he didn't even bother to ask her for her name "Because one, I didn't know her last name and two, I didn't know she was a celebrity and I didn't know she was going to f--king tell people about it!"

Kim is not a homeowner.  It's questionable that she has renter's insurance.  I doubt she has any idea what that even is.

 

The PROPERTY OWNER's insurance would get contacted.  If you are a landlord, you are insured up the wazoo and you have a LOT of liability.  For example, if your rental property gets raided for a meth lab, it will be confiscated by the authorities.  Just because you don't know about it is no excuse.  My family owns several rental properties and that is one of the first things you learn:  if someone is injured and YOU WERE NEGLIGENT, you are liable.  A good landlord visits the property frequently and for heaven's sake, it's almost impossible to not find signs of a BIG DOG.  Scratches on the door, poop in the yard, a crate, a leash in the closet etc. Also, I am truly shocked that a NEIGHBOR didn't report the dog.  If I lived next door to Kim and saw that dog on TV, I'd be on the phone in a minute.

Kyle, Mauricio, Lisa and two unidentifiable white men are sitting at a round table smack in the middle of the patio. Rachael and I find a small bench inexplicably placed in a corner of the patio that gives us an unobstructed view of the table. We proceed to sit there for twenty minutes just staring at them.

Lisa looks amazing. We later learn that they had just come from the taping of the reunion show, which explains why Lisa's makeup is so on point. Their table is partially closed off by a single red velvet rope. Some non-threatening looking dude in a baseball cap stands nearby, who I assume is meant to be security.

I doubt Kyle made Kim's landlord file an insurance claim to pay for Alexia's hospital bills.  Kyle has a lifetime of cleaning up Kim's messes under her belt, why would she start making messes for Kim at this point in life?  Kyle and Mauricio have plenty of money and no doubt have medical insurance for their kids.  I'm sure covering their copays wasn't a big deal for them.  If they said they knew the dog, their medical insurance might try seek subrogation from a liable party and trigger a claim, but that doesn't always happen.  It seems highly unlikely that Kyle would sue Kim for compensation for non-monetary damages like pain and suffering, which would be another way that the insurance company would get involved.  I cannot speak towards all the other people that Kim's dog has bitten though.

Let's say this was two strangers in two attacks.  The attorney in the second attack will let the first go to resolution to see if there is money, etc to be had before spending time on it.  Also once the first is successful it is easier to just walk in and suggest a settlement since no jury would convict the dog once and then let it off on the second bite.

 

Kyle may just wait to see if the first victim suing is successful in having the dog put down.

I didn't cringe or clutch my pearls when Rinna's daughter mentioned "chub chubs".  Sadly, where I live they would have said, "fat bitches".  I'm not going to say where I'm from, but "chub chub" sounded like she was being nice compared to what I hear coming from teenager's mouths these days.

 

 

I am ashamed to admit that when I was a teen, I was in a car with a bunch of friends. Another car pulled up beside us and it  was a family of 4 overweight people. I  said through my window , where they could hear me "you must be the  Fat Family", and then we drove off. I  am 44 now and I have thought about it, with shame, many times over the years. That is NOT who I am. I deeply regret it and I can assure you it is certainly not representitive of how I really feel. I would take it back if I could. Are you sure about that? I read somewhere (in a tweet or maybe on these boards?) that after they wrapped up taping for the night, that Kyle & LVP went to VB or SUR afterward to decompress from the reunion.

This. This is what upsets me the most about Brandi, her insertion into a mother's right to parent as they wish. For me, I never smoked pot or did drugs, but I did drink when I was not of age. As a parent, it is my right to not discuss my past, whether I was Mother Theresa or like Brandi in real life, it is my choice to model for my children that doesn't glorify drugs or getting drunk in their presence. Brandi seems to think that being on this show gives her a right to out anyone and once she does it, claim it is no big deal because she chooses to act like Jezabel.

2 of my 3 kids are over 21 and I am just starting to be comfortable discussing my teenage years because they are old enough to understand and will not do something and use the excuse, "well, you did it!" All of the women were shy in the pot shop for that reason. Brandi just doesn't get it. So what if Kyle smoked pot in front of you, if she did...shut it down and keep it to yourself. Funny, how the ONLY times we see Brandi embarrassed by the other women is when she is in her element...in a place where people are embracing pot! Again, this is not a judgment, none of the ladies were participating on camera because they don't want that activity recorded for youngsters to see. As LVP mentioned, she has seen it & done it, but it's easier for her to talk about it openly now because her kids are of age.

I agree with those who have said custody should be taken away, or limited for Brandi with her boys. What a horrible role model she is to those boys. Wait unti they think it's cute to start dating Brandis friends!

Then why even go there. It was so fake like the time Kyle claimed she didn't even know what methamphetamine was. She is just inauthentic and in that regard I get why she is annoying to Brandi because that is annoying to me. She thinks we are all that stupid?

 

 

 

Yolanda has a physician who most likely approved and set up stem cell therapy in Korea.  Someone I knew went to Germany for it and his doctor set it up.  It is acknowledged as a viable treatment for many diseases.  It has not been approved here so it has to be sought outside the US.   

 

We don't know what she was getting in Tijuana.  That too, may have been doctor approved.  She is a smart woman and I believe her doctor knows about what she is doing.  

Then why does she keep getting worse? No, she is being scammed and manipulated.

Thanks for this. That was another point I wanted to make about Brandi v Lisa, Lisa did not demand that her coworkers send her well wishes. She didn't use it as a hammer to hit everyone over the head with or tell everyone how it wasn't fair. But Brandi always is " the best ,worst". This. This is what upsets me the most about Brandi, her insertion into a mother's right to parent as they wish. For me, I never smoked pot or did drugs, but I did drink when I was not of age. As a parent, it is my right to not discuss my past, whether I was Mother Theresa or like Brandi in real life, it is my choice to model for my children that doesn't glorify drugs or getting drunk in their presence. Brandi seems to think that being on this show gives her a right to out anyone and once she does it, claim it is no big deal because she chooses to act like Jezabel.

2 of my 3 kids are over 21 and I am just starting to be comfortable discussing my teenage years because they are old enough to understand and will not do something and use the excuse, "well, you did it!" That whole scene annoyed the hell out of me, and I blame Bravo.  I think they figured filming in one of those would bring in the viewers, but they didn't take into account that none of the cast would want to partake.  So it was just an exotic location for more of their petty arguing.

 

That scene should have ended up on the cutting room floor, and it would have, if it hadn't been for Brandi.  She threw the mini-tantrum outside afterward, and then she outed Kyle as a toker in the reunion.  Of course Bravo had to leave that uncomfortable boring scene in then.

I think Brandi's gone next season. The way Andy asked what she said when she called Kyle the c-word and she repeated it and he said, 'Ok'. It was one of those Oks that your mother gives you BEFORE they slap the crap out of you.

 

I hope so. Lisa V's blog also makes it clear (if she hasn't already) that she's through with "BG".  I keep telling myself that of all the HW's in any franchise, Lisa V probably has the most clout, due to her being an executive producer of PumpRules which is filmed at her restaurant with her staff as cast members.  I don't watch Pump but it seems to be popular. She's also a consistent fan favorite.

 

 I think if anyone could give an "it's her or me" ultimatum, it would be Lisa Vanderpump, especially if she had Davidson, Rinna and Kyle behind her.  Who would be in Brandi's corner? Kim. Enough said.

Lotus, that is kind of what it seems like she is implying, but Brandi told this to Lisa when they were shopping together in Amsterdam. Brandi was already knee deep in her Kyle hatred at this time, so I cannot imagine that Brandi was doing something that she thought Kyle would back up. It is always hard to try and understand the way Brandi's mind works, but this one is especially strange.

Oh ok, sorry. I was thinking of last season, and Brandi's $9.99 online search for dirt on Lisa and Ken. I am surprised that when Alexia showed up at the hospital for treatment from a dog bite the authorities did not confiscate the dog for (rabies observation or repeat violent tendencies) and Kim's homeowner insurance would pay for hospital expenses. Sadly if you actually use your homeowners insurance you are usually dropped from it. Anytime you show up at an ER with a dog bite the authorities step in, at least here in Maryland they do.

I was bitten by me former neighbor's cat a few years ago and the hospital I went to called Animal Control. They quarantined the cat because it hadn't had rabies shots. This is in California.

I developed a bad infection and was in the hospital for 2 weeks.

The crazy thing about Brandi's off screen behavior was how often the other women supported her. Kyle, of all people, reached out to Brandi after the tampon incident. And the funny thing is that Kyle never took any credit for it. Brandi was the one singing Kyle's praises and talking about how much she appreciated Kyle seeing that she was in pain and making an effort even though they weren't friends at the time. 

 

At the time, I remember thinking that Kyle had to be doing this for some type of recognition or glory - because it's Kyle and she has always struck me as being someone who wants praise for being a decent person. But, I have to acknowledge that she didn't seek any attention for making up with Camille. She was the first person to reach out to Camille after Kelsey humiliated her so publicly as well. Then there was how she stood by Taylor when she didn't have to.

 

It pains me to say that Kyle seems to have actual redeeming qualities. I hate that I can't find any in Kim or Brandi.

You can get that for free on IMDB.  I, for one, had no idea Lisa Rinna had done A Seance With...  Don't get me wrong, I like her a lot, but she has done a lot of reality TV -- but she also has a good personality for it, IMO.
