I doubt that Kail thought it was funny because it showed how fucked up her relationship with Chris is (which is why I thought it was funny). She probably thought it was funny because it highlighted how complicated and interesting their relationship is.

I did wonder how people who split custody were handling this in the best of circumstances. If they were an only child it wouldn’t really be a big deal, if you’ve got multiple kids moving between houses etc the web gets bigger.

I'm not sure what the laws are there, but I had full legal custody of my child, with joint physical custody shared with his dad. So I had the right to make all decisions regarding medical care.  Of course I would have contacted his dad if anything major came up, but I don't know what Kail's agreement is with her various exes.

She seems to forget the days she was broke.  For some people they have no free money left from a check.  My husband is horribly in debt from credit cards. We are lucky to make it paycheck to paycheck. Now he will be laid off July 1st.  15 dollars a month still wouldn’t save us now.  
She has a very punchable face/attitude.

Kail, $10 x 26 paychecks is better than nothing, but...let's be real, that slush fund would be wiped out the first time you accidentally ran over glass and needed new tires. It will not be your salvation when you're furloughed for 3 months.

 

You know what is more helpful for surviving a financial crisis than putting away what amounts to less than half of one month's average rent that it took you a year to save? Living at or below your means, Kail. Not pissing away your money in an effort to impress people that in all likelihood you'll never even meet. Or buying a ridiculous McMansion that you don't need and will cost you a fortune to maintain on an annual basis.

Even if one were paid weekly,  $500-800 would hardly be enough to carry people through an extended layoff--I looked up average rents in Dover, DE--$800-900/month. Add to that car payments, insurance, cell phone bills, etc. and you're broke/ in debt very quickly.

Karl is a pompous asshole who lucked out by getting on MTV for being knocked up on her prom night. Notwithstanding her "accomplishments" --if she didn't have the show income, she would have likely been struggling in PA. Even if she had managed to finish school here and gotten a job as a hygienist--between expenses and daycare she'd be vulnerable financially with this lockdown.
