So many things in this episode to comment on, but I've got to start with Robyn saying at the end (paraphrasing), "There's nothing I can do, so I'll just have to spend time on my knees."  Lucky Kody...

I haven't watched this show in weeks, so I apologize if other posters have already concluded that Robyn and Kody are both fine with Christine, Janelle and Meri being consigned to lives of involuntary celibacy? This seems to be something that was not addressed in this entire episode, the idea that Robyn and Kody can meet each others' physical needs, yet the other wives are just supposed to wear the emotional equivalent of post modern chastity belts. How selfish are Robyn and Kody to expect these women to go along with this agenda? In this episode Kody looks more like a manical cult leader. I think Robyn knows now Kody will throw anybody under the bus to maintain his narcissistic high, including her. This episode really showed he will rob any woman of her property, self worth, an ability for sexual expression, and time. Robin knows her reign of "special" will end too at Kody's prerogative. IMO, that's what her tears represented, the fear that someday she's going to get the exact same treatment as she's signed off on, while watching what was handed out to her "Sister Wives" by King Baby Kody.

I find Robyn to be annoying.  Especially when she is droning on about her dream of “sitting on the porch with her sister wives”.  These are the same women she wouldn’t allow to watch her kids and put a kibosh on any tradition they had that she didn’t agree with.  She wanted the "sisterhood" of plural marriage, but a monogamous relationship with their husband.  Someone should probably tell her that polygamy doesn’t work when the husband is monogamous.

 Meri is thankfully the only one addressing the one thing they never actually talked about. They were in an eternal covenant in which she was sealed to him. If she left, by their faith, she would be shunned and risk issues in the after life. And Kody never left - because he said on camera that he would never leave a wife. So he just tries to make them leave first.

But HE finally broke the covenant first by saying on air that he does not consider himself married. That is what unsealed her!  That gives her the out - so now she can leave. Otherwise, they would have played this fake song and dance into the afterlife. 

Now Janelle on the other hand...still stuck apparently? 

It's so much word twisting here because you are bound by god in marriage - but you aren't actually living as a married couple and god is seemingly cool with that idea.

Once again we see Robyn directing Kody by talking about how he's in such a difficult head space and he doesn't really know what he's thinking right now. All that means is she hasn't fully downloaded his thoughts to him yet. 

Overall, entirely too much Robyn this episode.

Robyn's little walk off was pathetic and a ploy for attention and for both of them to run after her and console her. 

First off, if Meri was truly your friend, you wouldn't want her in a loveless marriage and for your husband to be faking it with her. Faking just being in love since there was no sex going on. How is that fair? It isn't. She should want the best for her friend. 

The look on Meri's face when Kidney said whatever he said about faking it. 

Kidney and his fucking hair. Stop the perming, coloring and just fucking cut it. He looked best with short hair. Kidney and all his faking it talk made me want to reach through the TV and punch him. Like seriously? Your other wives were just suppose to sit back and be lonely, without any affection and no companionship, while you do so with one wife? That's beyond fucked up. If he ever loved them and made so many sacrifices then he should have been up front and let them be unsealed from him so that they could be happy and have someone to love and cherish. He is such a gd douche!

All him and Robyn care about are themselves and their precious kids. 

Also, why was it ok way back then Meri got an equal share of grocery money and house money, with one kid, and Jenelle and Christine had to sacrifice, but now he says the opposite about the land? Hypocrite. He changes the fucking rules to suit himself. What's new though?

The look on Kody’s face after Robin joked about leaving him was hilarious. How insensitive can you be to make a joke like that after your husband has been trampled by three wives rushing out the door? Meri did a great job advocating for herself. Robin cried for some reason. Kody sulked on the edge of the bench. 10/10 would watch again.

I will say, I thought there was some interesting stuff going on with the Picnic Table of Doom scenes.  I do think a huge bonus for Kody bringing Robyn into the family was that she could be all woo woo, woo woo with Kody when his big scary fillings started bubbling to the surface, and she could coo him into submission by pretending to be his mind-reader, thereby giving Kody an out when he was pissed off at his other wives...if Robyn thought he should just stay silent, he could flounce off and ignore his issues, because his Real Wife gave him permission to do so.  

Now, though, Kody has been trolling his Men 'R Us websites and I think he's onto the idea that Robyn has been stifling his man-fillings for years.  Some of the looks Kody and Robyn gave each other at the picnic table made me think that all is definitely not well in the Mansion on the Hill.  Robyn's joke about leaving Kody missed the mark by about 150 miles, and Kody told us on the couch that hey - he could just walk away from Robyn as well.  Now, though, thanks to their machinations, they only have each other to dill with.  They have successfully driven everyone else away from them, and now they're well and truly stuck with each other.  They get to reckon with the fact that Kody has allowed Robyn to drive a wedge between him and the rest of the family (by his own actions but sanctioned by Robyn), but also that Robyn is now living with a man who is scarily falling off the rails.

I would not want to live under that roof when they realize that this is it, this is all they have, and they see that their relationship only "worked" because they had the buffer of Christine, Janelle and Meri.

She did panic when the discussion of the property division came up. She was trying to justify why she and Kody were getting 8 acres and Meri was getting 2 and Janelle was getting 4. Robyn said that she had always planned to leave her property to her kids and her thought was that Kody was going to leave his share to all of his 18 kids. Kody almost exploded at this and said no he wasn't. I believe that he was going to say no way. Our jointly owned 8 acres will go to Robyn, the loyal wife, the love of my life.  Robyn know that this would be a disaster to admit and he was going off script. That's why she cut him off and told him to shut up. He already said on 2 occasions that Janelle, Meri, Robyn and he each own 25% of the property. So how he comes up with Robyn and Kody owning 8 acres, Meri owing 2 and Janel owning 4 is some crazy math.

It felt very disjointed to me.  I think there were parts of the conversation edited out.  Some for time constraints, some  for boredom…and I believe some because they weren’t appropriate for viewing.  Even though we’ve seen Kody’s temper tantrums on other occasions.   There wasn’t enough shown prior to Robyn walking off that justified the  reaction  she was having at the time.  
 

I agree with those who say Meri felt that Kody had ended their eternal covenant by saying he didn’t consider  himself married to her.  Since they were already legally divorced, he could only have been referring to their spiritual marriage.  Robyn certainly must have agreed since we didn’t get the ‘you must sleep with someone else before you are considered divorced’ speech.

I was happy to see Meri laughing at Robyn and Kody. Robyn expecting Meri to stick around for a husband that shuns her and appears to despise her is ridiculous. I 100% believe Robyn was crying because she is worried the show will end and she loves being on TV and the income it brings. Her whining about sitting on the porch with the others just makes me angry because she has made zero effort to get together with the other wives or kids.

The idea that her parcel only goes to her kids while Kody’s is only for him might be the final straw that will drive Kody’s non-Robyn kids away. Knowing that your dad has zero thought for you would be enough for me to cut all ties. Once the cameras are gone I’m betting Robyn gets rid of the Sears junior secretary clothes and goes out to find someone new.

I think the mansion is like a 20 minute drive from Coyote Pass. I know it's not next door, anyway. So he rode that four-wheeler on the streets and highway to get home??  No helmet, but some awesome gloves.

This episode cemented that Robyn is the bitchest bitch that ever bitched and probably not for the reason(s) that most have cited here. Towards the end of the episode, Kody brings up one of the most fascinating points that has never been brought up ever on the show before. He said that before marriage that Robyn made him promise to HER as a condition of marriage - and I quote: "this agreement that I have you - our sacred covenant - was if I am ever not in love with you, I won't just sit there and be in a pathetic place with you. YOU MADE ME PROMISE YOU THAT" But yet that rank bitch would not only wish that on every other freaking sister wife, but play an active role in making them stay. If I disliked her then, I hate her now! She is selfish, cruel and an ugly person both inside and out! She knew before marriage that she wouldn't want and couldn't stand what the other women have been getting for a decade, but it is okay and acceptable for them to stay in a defunct dead marriage so she can have her porch dreams fulfilled. She is the worst!

This also proves despite her protestations of not understanding, she understands perfectly, otherwise she wouldn't had made such a request from the get go.

That "sacred covenant" thing was super interesting also because I feel like Kody went off script there in a big way, and Robyn doesn't know how to act when she and Kody haven't rehearsed their lines in the mirror before presenting their one-act plays for the other wives.

But why would Robyn make him promise that in the first place?  Possibly because A. - she never thought in a million years that he wouldn't be warm for her form, and she'd always be his one true lurrrve (blech) or B. - by asking him that, she was subconsciously putting the thought into his pea-brain that this is exactly what he should be doing - leaving when he is no longer in love - but with his OTHER wives.

Robyn has been playing with these people since before she even officially came into the family.  The fact that it seems to have finally caught up to her is beautiful.  She has to know that if even Meri, for crying out loud, has seen through her shenanigans, then the jig is truly up - which could account for her potentially real tears for the first time ever (still not 100% convinced, though).

I was wondering the same thing, and I think your analysis is a good one.  I so hope the interviewer (I forget her name) raises this question of double standards at the reunion.

Yes it seems an odd choice to put in their "sacred covenant" which he is choosing to honor (though seemingly does not choose to honor all those other sacred covenants). C) Perhaps he had already divulged to Robyn that he was in a pathetic place with Christine or Meri...

Interestingly Robyns response to this was to say "Yes, but that doesn't mean the marriage is over."  So it gets more perplexing.

Meri needs to be getting herself a lawyer, not sittin’ at a picnic table explaining to Robyn why she’s done. Janelle too. Get yourself some legal help.

Yes, the timeline is a mess. However, I think when it was discussed during the rare tenders pity visit to "lonely old" Meri, Meri stated that she renewed for a few months (maybe 6?), not a year. That visit was likely in early spring/Easter and the wonky timeline here seems to be September/October so it could've been about to expire and she decided not to reup, especially since it seemed to be no problem for Christine to continue on filming in Utah with no seeming issues.

Kody trying to make a differentiation between an act and a performance was some WTF! Given the subject matter, it was a distinction without a difference.

The main thing Kody was worried about was blame. For someone who likes to beat the drum of accountability, he takes absolutely none.

i agree, I was having troubling following the conversation at all.  Combine that with the fact that we have been hearing most of this over and over (and over and over and over) for 13 episodes and it was a total waste of air time. 

Nothing new came out of that whole conversation with the possible exception of Sobbyn tipping her hand by blatantly telling Kootie to shut his piehole before he said something actionable.  

Janelle:  you aren't going to get anything out of this; find a new religion or some prophet who will release you based on what Kootie has said in interviews and move on.

Meri:  how many times are you going to reiterate the same things; Kootie clearly hates you, give it up and move on.

Christine: stop telling Janelle what she should do and move on with your happy princess life.

Robbyn:  you got what you paid for, in spades; enjoy a monogamist life with a manosphere follower but monitor those steroids he takes before he kills someone in a 'roid rage.

I still say Sobbyn doesn't have near the feelings for Kody as he does for her. She's playing a role while trying to figure out what she wants to do once all the attention wears off and she' s stuck with him all alone in casa hoarder. 

I'm proud of Meri for stating that it's not fair to her to keep living like this when Kody has no love for her at all. She's tired of being alone and loney. Sobbyn said  "I know" but then continues to cry and beg her not to leave. WTF does she want? Is this great concern for Meri not leaving the family just for the camera?

They all seem to avoid lawyers and court like the plague. There doesn't appear to be any legal custody agreement for Truely either. I'm guessing none of the 5 Brown adults can risk an audit of their finances that might go back 30 years. Either that, or money changed hands between them so many times with no agreements written down that it would be a futile effort to go to court. If Meri and Janelle put their names on certain parcels of land on Coyote Pass, those are the parcels they get, fair or not. They have no legal marriage to Kody and no minor children anymore. They likely have no real claim.

What I'm hoping is that to avoid a deep investigation into their finances, and how Kody used the money in the old LLC (not DABSARK, but the old Kody Brown Family Entertainment LLC that included Meri, Janelle, and Christine) to buy the McMansion, Kody and Robyn will basically fold.

One thing I think is curious, is that Christine signed her parcel over to Kody and Robyn, in exchange for getting Kody's name off the Flagstaff house. It's even been said on the show that the proceeds from Meri and Janelle's Vegas sales helped finance the purchase of Robyn and Christine's AZ houses.

Didn't Christine say she signed it over to the family? And Kody says she signed it over to him? Seems to me if "family money" is what they have been shifting around to buy various properties and make downpayments on houses, then Christine's portion should go back in the family pot.

It's so obvious that Sobbyn has been Kody's mouthpiece this whole time. She tells him what to think,  what to say and how to feel. He's too dumb to notice. I'm glad Meri finally stuck up for herself.  I wish she would've said more to Kody about her getting the smallest piece of land out of everyone else.  I wish she would've questioned him why she only gets a tiny piece when she contributed financially just like Janelle did. Instead she just accepted it and didn't put up a fight. Sobbyn walking off sulking was so dumb. She wanted both of them to call her back or run after her. And when neither one did she comes back right away apologizing. It was all for attention.  It made me mad when Sobbyn said that Kody had a good relationship with his other children but than Christine left. Like she's implying that it's Christine's fault that Kody doesn't have a relationship with his other kids. That's such bullshit. Kody didn't have a good relationship with them before Christine left because he shut everyone out except Sobbyn and her brood. Those two blame everything on Christine, it's ridiculous.  I wasn't too thrilled seeing Suki as the host of the tell nothing show again.  It's going to be the same as all the other ones, with Kody and Sobbyn refusing to talk about things viewers want to know. He will probably complain about Christine and Janelle again and gush over how perfect Sobbyn is. Sobbyn will pretend to dry cry but with bigger fake sobs in between that her dream is ruined because of the other wives. Suki will not ask any real questions again and will be sympathetic to Sobbyn and Kody and it will be a waste of four episodes. I wish Kevin Frazier could be the host and that no questions were off limit and viewers can call in live asking any questions they want. I know Kody and Sobbyn wrote down a list of questions that they will not answer, when Kody did the Mormon interview on YouTube, the guy that interviewed him said that Kody's "handlers" had a specific list of topics that the show couldn't ask him about so I know it's going to be just like that again.

Yes, I think there are agreements between the family and maybe even TLC not to talk about or expound on certain topics. Case in point, mentioning that Janelle was married to Meri's brother. Seriously, I think if more people knew that or better yet cameras had been around when that happened, (combined with Kody and J's original wedding date was Meri's b-day) Janelle wouldn't be the fan fave that she is today. Sorry not sorry, those actions were grimy AF!

I've resigned myself to the FACT that the tell nothings are useless, inane money grabs. The fact that there have been multiple award winning journalists who have hosted and they all equally sucked just tells me that TLC doesn't want these events to be great! They like the waters murky and don't want to clear things up as it protects the asset(the "stars" and the storylines) and can garner more seasons. The 90 day ones are just as terrible. It is cheaper/cost effective to keep producing an ongoing concern with a known quantity then trying to go out and find new shows/participants. Besides which, SW has been doing very, very well ratings wise.
