Kody contradicts himself endlessly.  He said he didn't actually love Christine but did things out of duty.  And then claims that he loved her.  What an arse.  He blames her entirely for everything and accepts no blame himself - he's delusional.  It's a miracle that Christine stayed as long as he did. And I wonder how long Janelle will stay?   Meri has her head so far up Robyn's and Kody's asses that I don't know if she could ever disengage herself.  A few weeks ago Kody was saying he didn't consider himself married to Meri but is looking at her as an ally now?  But he's furious that Christine doesn't consider herself married to him - is it all about him controlling the situation?  Robyn certainly knows how to play the poly game and she's taught her children too.  They treat Kody as he wants to be treated - and he rewards them with his attention.  His other children see his failings and he's resentful about that - and of course blames Christine - but those kids have eyes and ears and have seen and evaluated his behaviour.  He's been a lousy father to them and they know it.  When he was out with Janelle at the trailer - he was responding to her the same way he did when Christine was talking about going back to Utah.  They think he's in agreement but in fact, he's not.  Gaslighting.

It bothered me when Kody accused Christine of being jealous and unkind to Robyn.  I don’t believe she wanted what Robyn had.  I think she just wanted her fair share. Pointing out that Robyn was getting more than her fair share isn’t jealousy, it’s called asking for fairness.

This “porch meeting” reminds me of my last day at a former job that I loathed.  I had to sit through one last all-hands meeting in the conference room and pretend to be able to stand any of my colleagues.  I may have been sitting there, smiling and nodding professionally, but in my mind, I was gone.  By the time Kody got to the “knife in the kidneys” part, I would have gotten into my car and peaced the fuck out.  No one should have to sit there and witness the spectacle that is Kody Brown putting on his one-man show- while standing next to Robyn, no less.  This is the same “man” who told Christine that he was never attracted to her and even made fun of how and how much she ate.  I tip my hat to Christine for having the strength to sit there and listen to that bullshit.  Hang on, girl.  It’s almost over.

As for Robyn, she might as well be rubbing her hands together and cackling under her breath.  She can stick the sobbing and lamenting the loss of her ridiculous “family” right up her duplicitous, manipulative ass.

Dare I say this all felt very intentional and performative? Kody's dramatic monologue. Robyn's gesticulations. Did we see a tear? Janelle with the symbolic arm upon Christine. And I loved how Christine almost laughed out loud when Kody told her to 'soak in' what he just said. I get second hand embarrassment watching how stupid he is.

I really do like Christine, but I was a little surprised at her response to Kody saying she treated certain people poorly.  She wasn’t taken aback at all.  She actually kinda admitted it, but said it wasn’t on purpose.  I guess she did it out of frustration or in an emotional state.  And, maybe it was well deserved. How can you make sacrifices to love someone you claim you never loved?  Christine leaving hurt his ego, so he was determined to embarrass her on national television.  There is a saying, “hurt people, hurt people.” He clearly wants to punish her for not kissing Robyn’s ass or bowing down to her sufficiently.  The thing that gets to me is that Janelle doesn't seem to have a relationship with Robyn and was less welcoming.  When Robyn announced that she was pregnant with Sol, Christine was the first to jump up and hug her, while Janelle just rolled her eyes.  And yet, Christine is the one who Kody calls out for not being nice to Robyn.

This episode made me realize I have no fucks left to give. Nothing made me angry, not even Kody or Robyn. Kody and Robyn talk out both sides of their mouths, Meri continues to play the, I'm no going to say anything, game and Janelle, oh my, Janelle is just waking up.

I'll continue to watch, but I'm done with their recycled conversations.

One thing that stood out - Kody lying to the camera saying the teacher contacted them to let them know Ariella was helping a shy kid, when actually Ariella was pestering a classmate. Oh and this 5 year old talking about a girlfriend just walking away. Oy vey,

As for Meri, she was loving every minute of Kody berating Christine.  I would feel pity for her situation if she wasn’t such a wench.

I think Robyn, Kody, and Meri's frustrations are centered on the fact they need Christine to continue to contribute to this charade for their TLC paydays. This whole Sister Wives lifestyle has turned out to be a flop. Robyn wanted to be HBIC, she knows Meri has been dialling it in just for a check for 5 years. Janelle isn't needy, and actually more focused on Maddy and the grandchildren in North Carolina. I also found the absence of anyone showing up to support Savannah's first day back at school revealing. For people who have preached acceptance and tolerance for their chosen way of life, they are just like any other cult, in the respect that when a member seeks a new alternative lifestyle by leaving, they must be demonized for that decision. Points for Janelle as being the sole remaining adult in that family capable of non-judgemental thought.

Kody isn't angry for any of the 27 "Wait! I know why I'm so angry" declarations he made on this show. He's angry Christine is leaving because he is completely jealous that she was unhappy and did something to change her life by leaving him, whereas he's unhappy and doesn't (feel he can) do anything. He sees it all falling apart -- wives not toeing the line, kids leaving and not talking to him, money not there to build plyg palace(s) -- and knows he can't really turn it around that he DID waste a lot of years being a stupid, mean shit and now it's finally coming back to bite his ass. The irony is that he's already got what he wants -- a monogamous happy family with Robyn and their kids. So what does he need from/care about with the other women/kids. Literally, just that they aren't under his control anymore. He's mad he can't be a dictator!

So, in a quick recap, Kody goes off the rails, since he is no longer in control of anything. Sobyn pulls her usual, acting like she's the peacemaker, when anyone who has paid attention can see that she's the clear favorite wife, and the source of much resentment. Meri's resting bitch face, uncomfortable laugh, and condemnation, all coming from the last person who should be judgemental, since she was never cordial to Janelle, and barely tolerated Christine once Sobyn entered the scene, plus, let's not forget she had one foot out the door with 'Sam'. Janelle and Christine win the day, as they clearly have zero fucks to give, especially when it comes to gaslighting, histrionics, and hissy fits. You could almost see how Christine's calm, cool behavior drove the troika crazy!! Janelle stays because she just lives her life as she chooses. I'm really hoping if there is another season, it will be Janelle's season to go. 

Meanwhile, Sol and Ari's first day of school is a big milestone, yet Kody can't leave the favored ones long enough to be there for the older kids' firsts, lasts, or even surgery!. 

I think if I was Christine and Kody said his line about "all he sacrificed to love" her, I would have slapped him or told him to get off the property. He is the biggest horses ass. 

Christine is so over this situation, nothing they pull can faze her,  which drives them nuts and makes me smile.

The moral that they should be taking is that not everyone is going to be friends and thats ok and that forcing a relationship is where problems can arise.

Do you believe what Kody and Robyn said that they had still been hopeful that Christine would change her mind and get back together with Kody? Like if thats what you're hoping and striving for and you don't make any effort to be nice to her or see her children more, what are you playing at. Surely if reconciliation was what they hoped for then the road trip to drop off Ysabel would have been the perfect opportunity to spend time as a family. He hated her so much lately he couldn't even see Truely because he'd have to go to Christines, were you planning on winning her back through anger and sulking? I don't think we saw Robyn make any effort either.

Kody was dying for Meri or Robyn to have an outburst so that he could have one, he was properly baiting Meri to be mean to Christine. You could see it was really frustrating him that Christine was being so calm and not antagonistic. I think he had prepared his little outburst ahead of time.  Kody has had a shit ton of couples therapy and has not learned anything.

Poor Janelle, shes lost her friend and ally and doesn't have any assets.

You know, that might be exactly what is going on now! There was a time where Janelle kept an eye on all the finances. There also was a time when she actually brought in money through a decent job, emptying her pension fund and a huge inheritance. That's all gone now. Whatever the Browns still have or own, it all goes to King Kody and his Queen consort. They'll redistribute as they see fit. If they see fit. Janelle has been sidelined. If she's smart, she'll keep all of the money she makes through Plexus to herself and start building her life from there. Nothing is coming from Kodouche mansion. It has always been a one-way cashflow. From Janelle to them, not the other way around.

So I'd like Christine to tell me again about the joys of polygamy. And for Kody to go back over the positive picture of polygamy the Browns bring to the world. 

I've never been divorced, so can someone tell me if divorced people actually get together to scream and whine at each other in group settings with no legal representation? Or is that just a TLC/Brown family thing? Christine can take Truely and her house money because no one in the Brown family is smart enough to hire a lawyer or consult an accountant. Christine's real power lies in the fact that the people she's "married" to are stupid. 

If Janelle really gave half her Las Vegas house profit to Kody and Robyn, she is the dumbest person on Earth.
