I still don’t mind Shannon all that much. But I think she’d be way better off ditching this crew and living her best life. These ladies are so obviously trying to turn her into the scapegoat. For me personally, that’s not worth any amount of money. I did like that Noella was being sympathetic to her. Like, talking to her as a real human instead of another character on a show. 

Heather talks about reaching her standards via a ladder. Like, a ladder that descends a hole? I don’t find her all that elegant, impressive, aspirational, or steeped in good manners. (In fact, she strikes me as rude.) She’s trying so freaking hard to be the LVP of the OC. And hey, I know LVP has her detractors, and I’m not saying she is a saint by any means, but at least she had… a sense of humor? Wit? A decorating style that doesn’t lead to a house that feels like a sterile hotel lobby? Something that made her entertaining.

And Gina, the Hunchback of Notre Casita, clearly is vying for a space… well, if not in Heather’s nethers, in Heather’s Hotel Mausoleum. 

I also, inexplicably, kinda like Dr Jen. She dresses over the top, but she seems relatively level headed, 

MVP of the episode is the friend with the blonde bob who kept making all the same faces that I did as I watched.

I found it really hard to look at her because one of her eyebrows was stuck in an exaggerated raised position, and it was distracting as hell. I find the plastic surgeon's awful bolt-on boob job distracting as well -  she seems hellbent on showing it off when she should be in scrubs. It's not a good advertisement for her practice.

What a dumb obviously Producer-driven tempest in a tea-pot this episode was. None of it made any sense, and it was all clearly manufactured.

I normally like Gina & Emily, but they both should have kept their mouths shut and just enjoyed the party. Shannon continues to look pitiful, and is now the target of everyone's ire. Not sure why Noelle is so eager to befriend her.

All of these ladies would benefit by halting the fillers, and wearing longer less tight clothing. I will say that I loved Heather's black dress for the event - much as I dislike her, she knows how to dress elegantly.

I too am puzzled as to why Emily and the Plastic Surgeon Doctor who's name I keep forgetting are with their current husbands - talk about mismatches! I dislike Shane intensely, and shirtless househusband is an even bigger tool-bag than he appeared to be last episode. Ugh.

I love it that we have complained about Dr. Jen's husband being shirtless in all of his scenes, and now in the second episode he is actually wearing a shirt, but he is still at a restaurant, holding the chihuahua. I was just about to comment, but then Jen actually does it for us 😅  I love it that she knows what irks us!

 

Edit: Did I speak too soon? Was she actually complementing him for being topless all the time? I hate watching the episodes without subtitles, I can't always hear correctly. But I didn't want to wait for the subtitled version!

I had just started liking Gina last season, and I was going into this season feeling she's my favorite, but now she's already living rent-free in Heather's ass. I hate her throwing-friends-under-the-bus ways. I hated her during that one season when she was being horrible to Emily, her only friend on the show, but I forgave her when we found out about the situation with Matt. She got so much better when that situation was behind her and she met Travis. But now I feel like sh's going to be a crappy friend again this year.

I don’t think Shannon did anything wrong.  She told her two friends the truth.  Nicole sued Terry.  She didn’t lie.  Gina told Heather, and it was so fabricated.  What .. does she want to get with the “ in” crowd?  I don’t like Heather or her friends.  She’s walking around with a different demeanor to impress everyone.  Too stuck up, and Terry is a Pussy and a yenta.  Just my opinion.

Heather is too smart for this show, sure she brings the wealth, but she's a consummate actress and steps ahead of the other girls. As soon as the lawsuit word came out, she swiftly left the table and cut the filming until she had a chance to talk to Jigsaw and figure out the next steps... then once that's done they go down to talk to Nicole who has obviously been told by production to sit the eff down and wait for their entrance. Back in control, back on script etc. Heather would never do anything to compromise her income and that include any reputational risk for her husband. Long story short, give us lifestyle porn but also hot mess, not this CEO.

Shannon while irritating sometimes isn't a mean girl and didn't need to apologise. I also wish she would get a stylist, her own makeup and hair choices age her.

Emily complimenting Nicoles boobs was a low. I get the impression Nicole is quite a sensitive and vulnerable person...

Gina and Emily have nothing to offer this show lifestyle wise so when any drama is generated they have to throw themselves in deep.

This was like watching two completely different shows in one episode. How did we move from "the party s over!!" "Cameras are down!!" to "Wait, what? You sued us? Aww that's okay"?  

I guess the final message is just don't touch the icing bow.  Heather has her queen bee setting on maximum already and it's only episode two.

In a world of tv suck ups, Gina takes the cake.  Pitiful.

Emily, so needy.  Please invest in some self-esteem.  It's one thig to have low self esteem, it' another to be a complete bitch about it and attempt to bring others down in an attempt to bolster your self. A) Doesn't work and B) it's just an awful look. 

I liked the sex dungeon lady better the first time, on BH. 

This epi was bizarre.

I laughed when Shannon was on the phone with the new girl Noella and Noella said something like “we’re like sisters, sisters fight.” Didn’t everyone just meet her for the first time 10 minutes ago? The “tell don’t tell” storyline was producer driven.

Gina ran with it so hard Shannon’s still bleeding from the knife in her back.

The greedy entitled Dubrows made sure they didn’t pay for the non-party.

I have to agree with you about Gina.  Two seasons ago Gina was not being a good friend to Emily and favoring some of the others over her supposed bestie.  I personally didn’t like that.  Last year Gina turned it around and fans seemed to enjoy that.  After the blow up between Emily and Nicole, Gina stayed with Nicole saying she thought there was still potential there.  It was telling that Emily had to call out to Gina “no, you come with me”, pulling her away from Nicole.  Again, she was not supporting her friend.

 Heather and Terry coming down guns blazing and then hugging it out was strange.  Heather is going to be the person I love to hate.  Terry’s nose is morphing into its own entity.  Shannon looks a bit rough and her waist long extensions were silly.  Stop trying to be a Barbie at 57.

Seriously, why is everyone pretending that Heather and Shannon were always on bad terms? They made up Shannon's second year and stayed on good terms until Heather left the show. Now it's like that didn't happen and Shannon has been plotting her revenge for the last seven years. I mean, maybe she has. It's Shannon, after all so it's hard to say with her.

I was glad to have Heather back. I don’t care for her, but her pretentiousness was enjoyable reality TV viewing for me.

Now I wish she had never come back. Her ego, pretentiousness, self-righteousness, and attitude are off the chain. Just awful.

She needs a foil, someone who throw it back at her rather than suck up to her. Shannon and Emily are too insecure for that and this season’s Gina is enamored with her. Maybe Jen, the doctor will stand up to her.

Heather's parties go the way Mary Richards parties went, something always shuts them down.

Gina is not a good friend. She NEVER sticks up for Emily, who's always ride or die for her.

I think Shannon knew what she was doing. IMO she was baiting last week at lunch with the "oh I heard she... *dramatic pause*... used to date Kid Rock." I do think she thought Gina would go more than 24 hours before singing like a canary. She was probably counting on the big reveal/dustup being at the season's first girls trip.

Oh, I forgot to mention. While this wasn't the best episode for Gina, I was cracking up when right after Emily stormed off following her "stupid uneducated bitch" tirade, Gina turns to Nicole and tells her something like "I actually think this friendship is still salvageable." 😄

So out of that huge house the party took place in the foyer?  Talk about cold mausoleum look.  And Our Lady of Perpetual Surprise resorts to body shaming of course.  Shannon's lumbering in those ridiculously high heels did nothing for her along with the ridiculously long braid on the new girl.  Could Dr. Jen possibly be a beard?  I don't blame Gina kissing up to Heather.  Heather is an institution just like her home.

Another observation of Heather's house is the table in the "lobby" with the Ritz Carlton type of floral arrangements, nice but not original, I wonder if the Ritz floral person comes every week to do the flowers. Google it if you have not seen a RC lobby, it is exactly what Heather has in her lobby.  

I spotted a door that said "Studio D" on it, is it the powder room or her podcast room? Will we ever see every room in that house.

Lucite furniture, meh, I am surprised she went with that, is it making a comeback? I guess she is embracing that Hollywood Regency look.

How Did Nicole wind up in a room by herself waiting for the Dubrow's? Did she think they were coming in to beat her up?  Nicole seemed drunk or something, she could hardly keep her eyes open.

Heather thought Gina was shit talking Terry? I still do not get Heather's anger toward Shannon and not giving Nicole the side eye but simply saying that everyone gets a second chance well all but Shannon who did not say anything about her secret, be mad at Gina, she is the one who tried to blow up her world.

Shannon can only apologize and walk away, she is doing a disservice to herself by groveling at the feet of Heather, sooner or later Gina will trip up and she will be out of the inner circle and Shannon will be in again. Rinse and repeat.

Sex dungeon girl is probably really nice but her shouting out her sexual preference to and about Max must have been nervous, let's change the topic of conversation sort of thing but very jarring for anyone who did not know that tidbit.  Did Heather say she had bi kids or kid?

Dr. Jen's husband, I don't get it, is Mr. Puppers his support animal because he seems way more in to the dog than his wife.

I am not really understanding why she is so mad at Shannon. Shannon stated a FACT to Gina and Emily and they ran with it.  Was not their place to do.  I also don't understand why they coddled the woman who sued them and treated Shannon like she committed a murder.  Heather and your hubby Please go away immediately!

I get what was going on. Shannon did want Gina to do the dirty work of talking about the law suit when Heather wasn't around. She just didn't want Gina to mention it in front of Heather. Gina, on the other hand, recognized this common tactic among HW veterans and decided, "nah, I am not going to be accused of talking behind Heather's back" so brought it up to her directly. I don't have an issue with that specifically, but I do think it was tacky to bring it up at the party, which Gina herself acknowledged.

And IMO Heather was angry at both Shannon and Gina because she understood that talking about a law suit that went away is pretty damaging. I do think she probably should have reserved some anger for Nicole for not telling her about the suit all of these years but I also understand why Heather and Terry weren't angry with Nicole - she wasn't the one actually talking about it at this time, at least. (She obviously did in years past).

Anyway, I don't blame Gina for not wanting to do Shannon's dirty work but I think she should have taken Heather to lunch or something instead and have the conversation then.

Heather is a pretentious drama queen and that is clearly the role she has been tasked with. Everyone got a role to play in this scripted mess of a show...Heather was an actress at one time so this comes naturally to her.

Maybe it's an age thing?  I'm midway into my 7th decade and the same thought occurred to me as I was watching (and ultimately turned off) last night's show.  Maybe with age does come wisdom.

Couple of things about this show...as others have also pointed out, it is clear that most of the drama so far seems contrived and manufactured...it appears to be heavily scripted with each "wife" having a specific "role" to play. Nothing seems organic or real at all. It almost as if the producers decided to throw anything out there just to see if it sticks. It's insulting to the viewer...we're not as dumb as they think we are. We actually can determine something is fake especially when it's so blatant.

Having said that...a few observations...Heather makes me want to vomit. Her holier than thou "disciplining' of Gina and Shannon was vomit worthy. Terry looked like an asshole. What was with his outfit? He looked like some old guy trying too hard to look like 30 year old...the all black, the leather jacket and boots...give me a break. He almost looked like he had been cruising a gay bar in West Hollywood. The smoochy smoochy stuff between him and Heather was almost funny. Their vacuous display of their wealth is nauseating. Also, if Heather and Nicole have been friends for a number of years and Terry didn't know anything about it then it just seems unbelievable to me. The fact that Heather did not know Nicole brought a lawsuit against Terry when Shannon knows and other people know seems unlikely. All fake stuff.

Finally, I guess it's an "OC thing for women to put their boobies on full display at every social function...good grief!

Watching Shannon grovel to Heather was terrible.  Not that I'm necessarily a Shannon fan but that was beyond insecure.   Even if Shannon was trying to stir shit up with this info (and she probably was) then she should have stood up and told Heather, "Yes I told Gina and who cares because it's true."    The groveling while dressed like a 57 year old Barbie was pathetic.   Doesn't Shannon have anyone in her life to tell her to  have some dignity and get off this show.

So, is this their life?  Lunch, dinner somewhere, lunch, dinner out., lunch, party at someone’s house?  Getting dressed in different outfits, hair and nails done.  Heather has help for every little thing.  Oh, shopping too.  No wonder she came back.  Bored.  Booze everyday too.  For lunch.

This is Heather's MO. Seasons ago she hosted a clam bake outside. When the party was over she said that the guests could go to the basement bous room not the upstairs.   She hosted  "She ate my bow" dinner party and held it in the foyer and actually had rooms roped off.  The rodeo party was held on a vacant lot. And when they were building the mausoleum that they live in now she invited the housewives orver lunch and they ate in a construction zone. I do not remembr her ever hosting a dinner party in her home and allowing the guests to venture past the front entrance. I think she is sending a not so subtle message.

This was the main reason I always hated Madame Puppet Heather. I'm never interested when a zoo ape is "building a house," 🙄, and when Heather the idiot was barking, "Here goes the fridgerator; we gots a icemaker onnn it," all I saw was an embarrassing rube with the social skills of the characters from Deliverance. <Apologies to the characters from Deliverance.> Announcing prices of things and bragging about how many rooms one has--Lord. Adding one more thing.  What about the long blonde mops to the waist that most have, like Shannon for instance.  That look is outdated already.  Shannon walking down the hall with that mop hanging down to her waist looked hilarious.  Her high heels, about six inches were shaking side to side.  Get a decent haircut already.  That stringy look is too young for her.  Her face is another story too.  All lopsided.  Heather too.  The high fake pony tail.  Ugh.  Overly botoxed, long stringy hair, botched up faces, boobs hanging out. WTF?
