Grangela sure is lucky to have this gig to be able to afford to move into a bigger house for her brood, and I imagine her other daughter is going to be living with them when she gets out of prison, since her kids are there.  Angela having a period must have wiped out her last aig, so she won't have nuthin' to tote. And it is just amazing all the shit she can stuff in her bosom. Did she say her mom has pneumonia, and she STILL smokes in the house???

Andrrrei gets more and more obnoxious every season. And why is it that the longer he is in the US, the more he sounds like Borat? His sense of entitlement is mind boggling.

If I remember correctly, K&A moved into that house, but it was already owned by her parents.  So the parents aren't technically living with K&A, K&A are living with the parents.

Wow-TLC really went overboard with (IMO) completely unnecessary and gross scenes.  Really?  Colt in the shower?  Angela dancing (or whatever that was)?  Angela talking about getting her period after two years?  Just stop.  And then the preview of Colt in a speedo?  Just NO!

I tried to do some math to figure out just how young Auselo was when Kalani went to Samoa and decided she was in love with him.  He could have been 20 or 21-not necessarily too young, but she was seven years older and should have realized how different his upbringing and culture were compared to hers.  Oh, and Kalani's dad?  Stop emphasizing how he "got her pregnant" and reserve some of your comments for how "she got pregnant..."  Two to tango and all.

I'm sure you all will think I'm horrible, but...I hope Larissa does get deported.  Arrested three times in less than two years?  Yes, I'm sure that Colt and Debbie egged her on, but she's in her 30s and should be able to have some self-restraint.  And, just to prove how horrible I truly am...I hope that the new woman gets as much as she can from Colt (money, etc.).

I started fast forwarding during Andrei/Libby and Angela/Michael.  I know that Angela was getting favorably compared to Lisa during whatever version of 90 Days that just ended, but I have never been able to tolerate the physicality that she uses against Michael and how quickly she could turn on someone (I'm on Team Skyla about the trip to Nigeria and the marriage to Michael).

There really isn't anyone on this show that I like.  I will watch Pillow Talk as I like many of those participants.

I agree.  Family Kalani (and Kalani herself) need to lower their expectations of Asuelo, because I honestly don't think he's intellectually capable of doing much more than handing out yogurt samples.  Even on Pillow Talk, he was a dim bulb, and I feel it goes well beyond a language barrier.  There is no spark in his eyes at all and everything he does seems to be in slow motion, as if he needs additional processing time to react to even the simplest of things.  I don't think he comprehends much of anything Kalani and her family tell him. 

They should be thankful that little place lets him hand out samples a few hours a week (and they probably only did that for the free publicity the shop would get from this show and his presence).  He's never going to set the vocational world on fire, that's for sure, and may never be able to fully grasp what is expected of him as far as his parenting role, either.  

Anyone else waiting for her to become impregnated again?

Yeah that was my question. Wow that's a lot of siblings -- even being one of 6 kids from the one family is a lot. No wonder everyone has so much opinion since it seems like most/all of them also live in Tampa, see each other continuously, she works for dad's business. Not blaming Chuck, she probably doesn't have too many skills/experience to get a decently paying job, as I get the sense it's one of those families where women don't work/hold a 'minor' job while they raise the kids, while the men are expected to bring home the $$$.  So this allows dad to give her a reasonable lifestyle making sure she and her daughter don't starve, and likely he pays her more than she'd make for some competing property manager who'd pay market value because he's not worried about her loser husband bringing home no money for like 3+ years now.

Laughed when Andrei said it was Chuck's obligation to pay for his daughter's wedding, just like he will one day pay for Eleanor's wedding. You sure about that Andrei? I mean the way this is going I can see him STILL making excuses 25 years from now about how he doesn't want to drive trucks or work for a contractor and he'll only take the perfect handyman job. And IDK how old Chuck is but he doesn't seem super old - maybe in his 50s? So at that age he'll only be 75ish and will STILL be expected to foot the bill for his granddaughter's wedding.

I'm sure it was for camera but it's interesting that Andrei freaked out that they all HAD to go to Moldova in a month for the wedding. He said -- you're all invited. It's an invitation, not a summons. If some/all of the siblings don't want to go, can't go, etc., does it really matter to Andrei? The wedding is for him and his side of the family, and let's be real it's not like any of his BILs/SILs are his friends so this isn't about -- oh but I want my parents to meet my closest friends and relatives from the US. I mean I can see some "insistence" that the parents go so Chuck can walk her down the aisle, the moms can meet etc. but otherwise -- whatever -- if 1-2 siblings wants a vacation bc they want to see another part of the world, maybe a single sibling looking to travel, great; if not, whatever.

I have a lot of issues with Andrei and Libby, but what's the big problem with him being a stay at home dad? That's work! Colt - How much would a ticket to Chicago from Vegas cost, with hotel and meals for the weekend? He could have gotten a prostitute in Vegas for the same amount of money.

Larissa - her bouncing from Eric to Colt is producer driven. Eric is gay and Colt's a pathetic version of Pat from SNL. Though I got really offended when she had the balls to ask for the 5K for her green card legal fees and is using it for plastic surgery.

Andrei and Elizabeth - I swear this is all manufactured TLC drama and it was filmed last year I think? They fake acting on how Andrei doesn't get along with Libby's family and vis versa is laughable.

Angela and Michael - She didn't take long in chewing him out over a ringtone.

Kahlani and Asueleu - you reap what you sow. And we all know that Asuleu isn't all there or just a special type of person.  She now has 2 kids and a teenager.

You can get one the same day if you have a legitimate emergency, I had to do this many years ago when I had a trip booked to China and realized about a week before I left that my passport was expired. I had to go to a completely different city (I already live in a major US city) and wait in passport office all day but it happened.

I really don't think most people watch these types of shows to find people to like.  These shows are like train wrecks i.e. "let's see how outrageous and crazy these folks can get."

I can't even remember if there was a season before Dani and Mohammad.  I think those two made the ratings rise.  Now the show had gone from watching real couples navigate the K1 process to just watching the crazy.

I think that Larissa acts so over the top crazy that it distracts from the dysfunction of Colt and Debbie.  That perpetual smirk on Debbie’s face...ugh. She has NO awareness of how to have an adult relationship with her 34 yr old son and he’s emboldened her to interfere and influence his relationships.  She truly believes that Colt OWES it to her to share every single detail of his life. Larissa may not be a nice person and she has a ton of issues, but Debbie made it impossible for them to bond or build a foundation of any kind in their marriage. Who does that to their son?  I really can’t stand her and her “I’m just trying to help” act.  She knows exactly what she’s doing.

They've admitted that most of their storyline is fake. I think the Witches of East Prick have real ignorance, though.

I can't remember if it was after my first or second stroke that I saw Paul and Karine in Louisville. I'm thinking it was my second, though, so that would put filming in around August/September.

Dani and Mo were all about drama.  TLC dragged out their story for years it seemed, they were reality TV gold..  TLC was probably trying to strike gold again with Nicole and Azan but Nicole was too silly and Azan acted like he didn't want to film anymore. 

I think TLC is looking for the next Dani and Mo, the next reality TV gold.

The birthday party for dad for instance, delivered food, etc., paid for and set up by TLC with the understanding that Andreeeeeiiii will bring up the controversial Moldovan wedding.  The life lessons while simpleton son in law eats an apple, complete with expression close ups. Coltee noisily sucking on his date for the cameras attached to the car. Etc etc. I take most of it with the understanding it’s edited for entertainment and reaction.

 

My main reaction is the show is fairly watchable.  Better than a 10 week slow chase to nowhere like Yolanda and the yuck of the KY felon.  We get fairly standard story lines that we are familiar with.  I think production knows us.

Actually Father Libby met with Andrei and informed him he wouldn't contribute to the wedding.  Andrei told him that was fine and they (he and Libby) would pay for it.  

If I had been Libby, I would have not asked him to walk me down the aisle.  I'd have asked someone (anyone) else to do that honor.  

I'm likely in the minority, but I have since considered Father Libby to be a prick.

Surely Colt's new woman is being paid to be his new love interest. He is 34, lives with his Mom and half a dozen cats and has bigger boobs than I do. And don't make me even mention the speedo or whatever he had on.

I can't even remember if there was a season before Dani and Mohammad.  I think those two made the ratings rise.  Now the show had gone from watching real couples navigate the K1 process to just watching the crazy.

I'll freely admit that I'm here to warm myself around the dumpster fire.  But I do prefer if there is at least one person I don't loathe.  For now I'm still Team Idiot Child Aseulu.  Dude is 24, extra naive, thinks condoms are for slut people, and shills fro-yo samples.  Color me shocked he doesn't have his shit together.

And I am shocked that Family Libby gets even more unlikable.  It's Moldova, not some war torn hell hole.  I love their vapors at the very idea.

I cracked up because that was in the middle of lecturing Larissa about choosing the wrong guys. That many engagements doesn't indicate having the best track record, either. (Not that I would know--56 and never been proposed to. Bah.)

While I never wear tank tops and think visible bra straps look really tacky, a few nights ago that may or may not have been me temporary using one as a holder by tucking something underneath it when I had one item too many to carry in my hands into another room. 😬
