  1. So how many times has she been to Jamaica? I thought only once before?
  2. How did Sandy sleep through all that? Why didn’t the guy who escorted Mat off the boat tell anyone Mat left? Do people on non-tv yachts actually act like this?
  3. So I fell asleep during the show last night and woke up to what appeared to be a preview of what's on Discovery + ... a woman interviewing Brandon about his lack of using condoms. His parents were on a TV screen chiming in. Brandon's excuse, at least what I saw, was "it just doesn't feel as good." And that interviewer asking his parents to chime in on the fact that the pull-out method doesn't work ... in my best Alexis Rose voice: "Ew!" I know a lot of these story lines are fake, but Brandon's feels extremely fake and like this family is trying for a spin-off. Glamorous Go-Go Dancer Lives the Farm Life! No thanks.
  4. I think they always screw with timelines. I find it hard to believe that they have a "real" meeting just a few hours before guests come on board to discuss the guest needs.
  5. Okay, now I'm wondering about Captain Lee's rather passive reaction to Rachel's outburst. Maybe she does have a diagnosed issue, like bi-polar, and he knows that, and that's why he just let her say what she did. Oh, forgot to mention that I saw a brief glance of the guest sheet and it appears these dudes are from my area. I didn't catch their names, but it will be interesting to see who they are and if I know anyone who interacts/knows them.
  6. I'll chime in with all who think Rachel may have some mental health issues. It seemed like all her reactions were too over-the-top for someone not experiencing some form of mental breakdown. I get missing your boyfriend, but dang, all the wailing ... is this her first boyfriend? She did say that he was the first one on land, or something like that, so maybe she always worked with her partners? But the wailing ... and then the over-the-top cussing was just insane. And not even being willing to do one day's meals to help the crew out? And her cussing ... I can have a potty mouth but I was extremely uncomfortable listening to her saying all that to Captain Lee. On WWHL last week, she said some stuff about Francesca being snarky. After watching her behavior last night, she has no room to call anyone else out on their behavior.
  7. To me, Eddie seems to be really frustrated by the fact that he has a totally green crew. And instead of being openly pissed at production, he complains about his staff. I can't believe that in real, non-Bravo life, Shane would have been hired on this type of boat with the experience he had. Or if he had been, then he would have been surrounded by competent people. I also think Shane didn't have a grasp on what the job really entailed. Elizabeth drives me crazy. She must have been really bad, or production must have hated her, because she's always being portrayed as slow, a tad incompetent, etc. Then she whines because she doesn't like how she's being spoken to. On WWHL, Kate mentioned that Francesca had made snide remarks to Elizabeth, but so far I don't remember seeing that. I do agree, however, that Francesca needed to take Lizzy aside and talk to her privately, rather than saying things in front of others. Same for Eddy and Shane.
  8. Re: the food portions - YES ... either up the size of what you are serving or use smaller plates. I don't think that the crab/couscous salad would have filled me up. Now those waffles, on the other hand ... And New Age girl whose name I haven't bothered to learn: I LOL"d when she was complaining that Francesca said she was messy, and then the producer says something like, "but you are messy, aren't you?" Also, is Sunshine really as stupid as he portrays himself to be? The reason I ask is because I thought Cal was a hard school to get into. Maybe he's just book smart?
  9. I also have a big problem with the harassment of employees - men or women. I've had many service jobs before (retail, restaurant, office) and luckily I've had bosses that stood up for me and didn't allow customers to talk to me in an unprofessional way, much less touch me inappropriately, etc. If i were the stew, I would have cried, too, just from being overwhelmed. That was a lot of guests, and they were all high maintenance. And her two stews were shown to be rather incompetent. I don't remember hearing her complain about them to Capt. Lee ... just said she needed more people. And he said there were no more beds. I don't understand why the yacht staff are brought on board at the absolute last minute and everything is so hurried; it seems like they should bring them in a day or two earlier to make sure everything is up to snuff, provisions are stored the way the staff want them, etc.
  10. I find it hard to believe that a super yacht would hire so many inexperienced people.
  11. I can imagine Brett didn't want to attend in person because he already saw how he was being edited and he saw those pre-shows with other cast members piling on him. And I agree with Olivia that you do have to give editors something to work with, that there can only be so much manipulation. But that goes both ways, Olivia; my opinion of you is not that high, either. I did think it was petty of Henry to not be able to say, "I wish her well" when she said she was seeing someone. Yes, he's over her and I guess he's being honest, so points for that? But he was the one who chose to stay in the experiment from the very beginning, not being attracted to her and not trusting her. And, as others have pointed out, not bringing his concerns up with the experts. And I was actually kind of impressed with Christina for apologizing publicly and saying she was wrong. But now the season is over, these unhappy folks can move on with their lives and hopefully find better matches.
  12. These are "bad" owners. I am sorry you have to put up with that. Rest assured that if you are ever delivering at my house, you won't encounter my dog. Even if we were outside, I would keep her away from you. She is fearful and would want you to stay away. Giving everybody space keeps everybody safe and my dog below threshold ... Back to the show ... I am now perplexed about how Christina got on the show without a NO address. Maybe she faked lived somewhere, like some kids do when their parents are trying to get them into a school in another school district?
  13. Regarding pets - I have always had them. I am also a long-term volunteer at my local animal shelter. I see enough animals get returned by owners who really want to keep them but who are in difficult situations (job loss, eviction, moving into nursing home, etc.) ... these animals were loved and well taken care of. I also see animals who were adopted out of a whim (think Christmas present) and then when the cuteness wears off, or the person realizes that the animal is a responsibility ... then that animal is brought to the shelter. Owning an animal is a responsibility. I don't judge anyone who says they are not a pet person, just like I don't judge people who say they don't want to have human children. I actually think it's great to know enough about yourself to make good choices for you and not to hurt another being in the process. Someone had suggested that Armani and Woody foster a dog first, and I think that's a great idea. And specifically about the show ... I watched most of the decision episode, and I am realizing that I like MAFS better when there are successful matches. I mean, I wouldn't go on a reality show thinking they'd find my match, but it warms my heart that there are a few folks out there who did connect this way. And I didn't see all the episodes this season, so I don't know if they showed Olivia trying to have deep conversations with Brett. I think they were a bad match, and not that I like him at all, but I find her exhausting. Hopefully she can go on match.com or some other site and find some better options for herself.
